ceremony is gorgeous, and we loved having an equally nice backup indoor option. We didn’t need to use it, but having a good backup gave us so much peace of mind. The flow of the day was seamless going from ceremony to cocktail hour on the patio. Our day was a little chilly, so it was great to have the library/indoor area that guests could utilize if they were cold. The reception room is beautiful on its own and looked breathtaking with florals and minimal other décor. The food was without doubt the best wedding food we have ever had, and our guests all told us the same. We received so many compliments on the food- specifically the bacon wrapped scallops and the filet, which was cooked perfectly. They did an amazing job passing the food quickly and efficiently, so no one was waiting long to be served. The bartenders did a great job with our specialty cocktails and kept the bar line moving quickly. We would highly recommend renting out the entire inn, it was so fun to have all our family and friends stay the night! It also meant we were able to use the entire inn space as we pleased throughout the weekend. The rooms at the Inn are very spacious and beautiful. All our guests were extremely comfortable. The hospitality at Walden is unmatched. The staff members are extremely kind and go above and beyond to help accommodate every request by us and our guests. Makenna goes above and beyond the role of venue coordinator. Any request we had she worked to accommodate it. She was very responsive and easy to communicate with. She helped guide us through the planning process and helped us create our timeline. On the day of the wedding, she made sure every detail was exactly as we wanted it, and she kept the timeline of the day running efficiently. We were able to enjoy our day without any concerns thanks to her. Having Makenna truly takes Walden over the top as the best place to host your wedding. We could not have had a better experience at Walden and working with Makenna!

The Walden is an absolutely beautiful place to get married. My husband and I loved getting married outside in September. The fountain area is a gorgeous spot for the ceremony and we loved the indoor reception spot because it is so open with the big windows that look outside to the greenery. The team boxed up our cake for us to enjoy after the wedding and had candles lit for us in our room.

The yoga class in the rose garden was the perfect way to start the day. Treating guests to spa services was also really convenient. Our wedding guests raved about the food. The horse release during the ceremony was another special touch. Walden is the most tranquil, intimate and special wedding venue in Cleveland!

Makenna is incredible and goes above and beyond the role of her coordinator job. She deserves a raise. We did the full Inn rental for both Friday and Saturday and had our immediate family and bridal party stay on site. I highly recommend doing this. The majority of our guest were travelling from out of town so this allowed our whole weekend to run smoothly. The hospitality at the Inn was world-class and everyone was helpful and accommodating. The rooms at the Inn are spacious and amazing. All of the guests that stayed with us at the Inn were extremely comfortable. It was super fun having them all close by. We had our rehearsal dinner followed by a welcome party at The Barn the night before the wedding. The food was delicious. We were unsure of how many people would show up to the welcome party since there were so many out of town guests and we completely underestimated our guest count by about 50. They handled it with grace and had all hands on deck to ensure the whole evening was seamless. Makenna was even bartending at one point. I can't thank them enough. Our wedding was a dream. The outdoor ceremony space was picture perfect. We used their fountain as our backdrop and the pictures are stunning. We added some florals to the fountain but otherwise no additional decorations were even needed because the outdoor area has such stand alone beauty. We had our cocktail hour in the courtyard which was a seamless transition from the outdoor ceremony. We had a cheese display and passed hors d'oeuvres and everyone was raving about the food. They also did an incredible job with our signature drinks. The reception room which was recently renovated is breathtaking. Makenna also helped us bring our dance floor dreams to life by helping coordinate a big disco ball installation above the dance floor. They were so accommodating. The food in hands down the best wedding food I have ever experienced. Every single guest came up to us to tell us that as well. Definitely splurge for the aged rib-eye and pan-seared seabass, you won't regret it. Compliments to the Chef, we plan on returning for dinner and our anniversary.

Our dinner was one of the best meals we have eaten and our guests could not stop raving about the food! The Walden staff was attentive and accommodating, especially for our guests with dietary restrictions. With our wedding taking place only a month after the renovations were completed, Makenna and staff did an amazing job being transparent about the progress and showing us all the possibilities for staging our reception space. Simply put, Walden is the obvious choice to host your wedding. Period!

the option to rent out the entire Inn (22 rooms) and it was one of the best decisions we made. It allowed us to use the entire space, as we saw fit, for the entire day/night. Having access to your suite for rest, storage, makeup touchups etc. was indispensable. It was also very helpful for grandparents who wanted to turn in earlier than the rest and we didn’t have to worry about anyone driving. Having an in-house chef is an underrated benefit and the Walden chefs are world class! Guests raved about the food and we felt proud and happy. As for service/support, this place must be doing something right because their staff is simply the Best! Makenna is the wedding coordinator and is at the top of her game. She is so organized/helpful/accommodating/conscientious and all while remaining calm and confident. She is a gift. The rest of the staff is top notch as well! The service from beginning to end was impeccable. Not a single one of my special requests was turned down. They did everything in their power to bring our vision to life. I’ve never seen a harder working group of people! I wish I could name them all personally. As an added bonus, the suites are all spacious and simply beautiful. You feel like you are on vacation when you are there. Then there is the Salon and Spa! What a treat for the bridal party and guests alike to partake in all their services. Again, top notch staff/services/surroundings! My husband and I can’t wait to go back for a mini escape. Whether you live near or far, Walden is a perfect choice for an unforgettable wedding that your guests will rave about for years to come. Bravo Walden!!

You really feel like you're royalty there and they are so attentive to whatever you need. d blocked off the Inn for our wedding, the Barn for our rehearsal dinner, the Club for our welcome reception and the cafe for our brunch! It was such a benefit to have one point of contact for all of these events and Sarah stayed on top of the details for all of them. Sarah also served as my pseudo wedding planner - I could text her from the florist or any vendor to ask questions and she was always very responsive. She had photos and ideas for everything. I even ended up using one of her ideas for our head table florals. And she took care to make sure everything that needed to be set up or executed on happened. On our wedding day I didn’t need to do or worry about anything - it was all taken care of! Walden was a beautiful setting, and the entire staff went out of their way to cater to every need of ours and our guests. All weekend people were coming up to tell us how much they loved the spa, hanging out at the pool, the delicious food, etc.

She helped with every aspect of planning and coordinating and was always a delight to communicate with. At first, I was worried about the plaid carpeting at The Club but Sarah assured me that when the linens and centerpieces were in place- you wouldn’t even notice and she was ABSOLUTELY right. Club Walden was the perfect setting. From our stay at the Inn to the beautiful ceremony in the Arbor to the reception at The Club…. everything was seamless. I could not have asked for a better person to work with when planning our day. I can not put into words how absolutely wonderful Sarah and Patrick were to us. So much love for both of them! ❤️The newly remodeled bar and deck at The Club were a huge hit with our guests. They raved about the location, food, service and all the details that Walden added to make it special for us. We were so impressed by everything Walden had to offer. I would highly recommend! If we could relive the day over and over again we would, and would not change one single thing!

d was an understatement. We decided to have our wedding somewhat last minute, we contacted Sarah the fabulous event planner there probably 10 weeks before the wedding was going to happen. She threw on her superwoman cape and helped with EVERYTHING. From floral vendors to hair and make up, customizing our menu beyond what they typically offer to suit our guests, to running out to a party supply store to get table numbers that matched the flatware, she was a dream. Sarah was always available always a text away to answer any of my 50000000 questions or concerns, she took it all with a smile and a level of organization I have never seen before. Our wedding was on May 2nd which can be tricky from a weather perspective so Sarah had 3 separate plans depending on the weather, one for outdoors, one for indoors, and one for outdoors with heaters and blankets for the guests. Fortunately it ended up being the one sunny 80 degree day that week (the other days were rainy and in the 60’s) and knowing Sarah I have a feeling she somehow made the sun shine for us. Now for the wedding- the inn is just stunning I had a gorgeous suite I stayed in for a couple nights and had my bridal party get ready in. We had a champagne welcome, and anything we needed was a quick call away. On the morning of our wedding I had a delicious brunch brought up to the room, Sarah made sure the florists, cake, rentals, and everything was set up how I dreamed it would be. The team greated our guests and led them to their seats while I did some first look photos, then they coordinated the sound vendor to make sure the violinist had everything she needed for the ceremony as well as our officiant. When the wedding was over and my husband and I walked back down the aisle Sarah was there with two glasses of champagne in hand to help us celebrate. Moving on to the cocktail hour… it was set on a patio outside the Jaipur lounge, OMG those little bites were delicious!! Trust me on the mini grilled cheese and tomato soup shots, just trust me! Sarah and her team made sure everything was in place (challah cutting, cake, etc.) to make a seamless transition from cocktail Hour to reception. The food was perfection, everyone raves about it, and the lounge was transformed into a gorgeous spring celebration complete with horses in the ring through the window. Just to show how thoughtful the team at Walden is, they noticed my husband and I were too busy talking to everyone to try our cake during dessert, they had two slices waiting in our room for us (complete with chocolate strawberries) for when the evening was over for us to enjoy. It was one of the most incredible days of my life and I am confident that was entirely due to Sarah and the staff at Walden. Best decision I ever made was having my wedding there, I still can’t believe it turned out as beautifully as it did without a wedding planner. That’s the level of service they (and especially Sarah) provides. I can’t wait to come back next may for our anniversary!

s was not the case with Sarah. She kept me in the loop about things going on. When she had communicated with all our outside vendors. She was also willing to stay late and meet with me after I had gotten off of work. She didn’t mind doing multiple walk throughs to make sure everything was how I wanted it. She also made sure I didn’t have to lift a finger to make sure everything the day of was exactly where it should be. She took care of flipping the main table as the day progressed to reflect the next item in the itinerary. You can also book the rooms in advance for things you’d like to set up! Sarah coordinated day of with all my vendors so everyone was where they needed to be. She guided us through the rehearsal and had no problem telling people to stand there and stay put, so I could just enjoy the day. She was also wonderful with working with the chef to accommodate my dietary restrictions. She even helped me find hair and makeup people during covid. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She truly made my day stress free so I could enjoy it!

and gave us a tour. Being one of the most indecisive individuals, I anticipated this to be a difficult decision for me. It was, in fact, the opposite. Sarah made this the easiest decision I made as I planned out my dream wedding. She is so kind hearted, so warming and welcoming. I felt like I knew her for years, and because of our instant connection, I felt so at ease. She was patient in answering my millions of questions and worked hard to make this process seamless. Fast forward 10 months, my wedding day was more than I could ever ask for! The staff were outstanding, truly making me feel like royalty, and so accommodating after much debate about whether to hold the ceremony indoors or outdoors due to the weather. The salon onsite made is so convenient for myself and my wedding party to find the perfect look. The food was to die for. It was truly a celebration of our love and I owe so much of my appreciation and gratitude to the perfect event coordinator! The venue is simply stunning, the food is phenomenal, and the various spaces give your guests the opportunity to have an entire experience (you're not stuck in one room all night - our cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing were in three separate and unique spaces). In addition, when you book Walden, you and your spouse get to stay in the honeymoon suite - it's included in the package! After our wedding, we walked in to the room and were greeted by rose petals, candles, chocolate covered strawberries - the whole nine yards. It was truly the experience of a lifetime, and I wish we could re-live the whole thing!

d dancing are all in different areas! I’m a big dancer, and I love that everyone would be in the same room for it and not just sitting around at the tables talking. One of the best benefits of booking at Walden in my opinion was Sarah, the event coordinator. She kept everything moving, was easy to work with, she was great with trouble shooting and making sure everyone was where they needed to be. All in all, Walden was worth every penny. From the food to the ambiance to the fun level. It was everything I ever wanted on the best day of my life.

Later that week, we got a couples massage at the spa and the front desk ladies knew us by name, congratulated us, and gave us champagne for our services. We can't wait to go back! All in all, we were extremely happy with choosing Walden and would definitely do it again...in a heartbeat!!!!

Our friends and family were blown away in all aspects of our recent wedding here. I would highly recommend Walden to any bride looking for a very classy and timeless event of any kind. Also my bridal party and I used Spa Walden for our hair and makeup the morning of the wedding. The staff was professional and courteous of our schedule. They took wonderful care of us and made sure we were fed and happy at all times! I am so very grateful to the staff there for making my morning of experience wonderful when the adrenaline is flowing as well as the nerves. Ladies you are fantastic and I'd recommend them to any bride looking to be well cared for on her wedding day!

The venue is outstanding- beautiful, spacious and romantic. We had an outdoor wedding with a reception inside the venue and it was a dream come true day. The staff was responsive and worked with me and my to-be husband as neither of us lived in the area and truly made it the best day of our lives. We were blown away by the beautiful rooms available at the Inn, the kindness of the staff, and the way we and our guests were treated with utmost professionalism. It was a perfect day that would not have happened without Walden, Kate (The Inn manager) and the entire staff that worked the weekend of our wedding. member about our wedding day there is how smoothly the whole thing went and the amazing people who made it happen. Kate and her staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful. From the first time we went to visit the venue to our tasting (the chef worked with us to create a fusion menu which we loved) to the final weekend, everything was handled with a level of professionalism and attention to personal detail that I've never encountered anywhere else. If there were any hiccups, I never knew about it. And somehow, on that hot June day, glasses of water kept appearing, which was much appreciated. The space itself is one of a kind. There's so much elegance to the setting not much needed to be added. We had the ceremony outside with their garden as the backdrop. The reception was in the dining room, which was converted from it's standard blue (which was the setting for our rehearsal dinner the night before) to our gold and red theme (making it look like a completely different room). The dance then was held in their lounge, which was cozy and intimate despite having over 150 guests. There were so many spaces for small groups of people to meet and connect and our guests still talk about how much they loved Walden. We love Walden so much that, despite moving out of state, we still travel back to spend a couple of days at the inn and indulge in their spa once a year for our anniversary. They always have our room ready and everyone knows our names. Like I said, a magical place. I'm so happy we chose Walden for our wedding and can't imagine having been happier anywhere else.

idesmaids and I the night before the wedding and it was amazing, they gave us free range of the ceremony room to decorate as we wished and actually we had the entire first level free to decorate!! Rhiannon was perfect, she was so patient and welcoming. My husband and I have started a tradition that we go back to The Walden on our wedding anniversary and stay for the night. I truly love this place, and am SO happy I had my wedding ceremony there, we would have loved to have the reception there also but it was a little out of our price range, but they were beyond accommodating and every time we return we experience the same exceptional service just as plain guests on an ordinary day. Thank you all so much for creating such an amazing memory in our hearts, I truly believe no where else could have done that.
