Water's Edge Banquet Center

autiful weather we had on the wedding day (late May), some guests mingled in the lobby/bar area, many danced on the dancefloor under the beautiful lighting fixtures, many hung out on the massive deck overlooking the lake, and some even played lawn games we set up in front of the building! Water's Edge truly had a unique setup that allowed out guests to engage in different activities throughout the evening. The staff members were incredibly responsive and accommodating anytime we needed to tweak our plans throughout the planning process. The whole space was incredibly clean, bright, and open. The golf course itself was an amazing backdrop for wedding party photos :) Lots of options for add-on packages and details to personalize the wedding experience. Only thing I would caution about- since the venue does not have its own caterer, etc, (but they do offer bar service), be prepared to coordinate multiple outside vendors (DJ, florist, etc) to all work with the venue space. Great experience overall!

the team was extremely accommodating, communicative, flexible, and overall pleasant. They have very little "rules" when it comes to vendors, catering, etc. That was huge for us. We were able to create our day in a way that made a lot of sense for us and have a lot of freedom in the process, as opposed to be limited in our options. The venue is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and so elegant - but not overly! The bar service was top-notch on our day. We received so many compliments about the service and the beautiful outdoor porch. This venue truly has it all! And it is affordable, too, for everything you get with it. We sincerely recommend Water's Edge to any couples looking for a wedding and/or reception venue. No complaints!

ning. The only time I heard from the venue was when I needed to pay something. My last contact Monica was so great answering all my questions and making changes when needed and I wish I had her the entire time. They did have a day of person to assist with the set up and take down the tables I did not need but over all set up was left entirely to us. Overall I would recommend but be prepared to do the majority of the planning and organizing.

would answer my 1000 emails very timely and ensure me everything was OK during this crazy time. We had both of ceremony and reception at the venue and there was so much room to spread out and not make guests feel crowded when the space was being flipped. HIGHLY recommend!!!!

verything went exactly as planned! They were great adapting to all the last minute changes and helping us navigate covid wedding planning!! We received many compliments from our guests on the gorgeous venue and many especially enjoyed sitting on the back deck area to socialize as well! My bridal party and I got ready in the bridal suite which was perfect! Would definitely recommend Waters Edge to anyone looking for a gorgeous, spacious and lovely venue!

was ready before we got there which made my other vendors and other small decor I brought in easy for us to set up!! I love that I was able to bring in any wedding coordinator to help with my ceremony and caterer had access to the nice kitchen. Thank you Kristen and Katelyn!!!

ll. In our opinion, they seemed set in their ways and had a more “take it or leave it” approach which we didn’t realize until it came down to the final months before the wedding. In our opinion, the bartenders were very rude and I witnessed them cut off a lot of our guests after just 2 drinks, and started suggesting water. In my opinion this is not only an insult because all of our guests were completely fine, when we’re paying $20/person for alcohol, we think we deserve at least our money’s worth. I was very tempted to ask for money back because of their bartenders. I’ve never experienced that at a wedding before. At the end during clean up I went back in to grab a couple things and again, in our opinion, staff was so rude to us. Like I said, the venue is very pretty, but I would not have an event or wedding here again. We think they have a lot to learn and need to re-evaluate their staff and procedures.

ake sure you look at your contracts and make sure you get everything in writing. Its a new facility and they are still working out the kinks. We were super pleased to be able to use any vendor we wanted, and not having to use a preferred provider selected by them. This is the reason we went with their facility.

esome to work with. Kristen was always extremely positive, responsive, and attentive to our planning needs when we were scheduling. Katelyn then took over to ensure our experience would be perfect, and she did just that. She was around for anything we needed for the weeks ahead of our event and was all over the place ensuring all was perfect on the night of. All of our friends and family were blown away by the beauty and convenience of the venue. From the location, the large banquet center itself, to the large and nice restrooms and dressing area, it's great for any size event and crowd. Stop searching because if you're reading this review, you've found your banquet center. If you can't tell, we can't recommend Water's Edge enough!

completely redone and it does not look like a typical “banquet hall” inside, it is beautiful! So many of our guests commented on how nice it was there. We really liked that you were able to use your own caterer for food as well! I looked at many venue options and this was so affordable compared to the other options. We are so happy we chose Waters Edge for our venue!

planning seamless. Kristen and Dan have both gone out of their way to make sure I am updated each step of the construction process. I am a very detailed oriented person and I requested to see an example of the carpet, chairs, and tables in order to get a vision of the space. They not only send the examples but also provided the dimensions of each. They do offer tours of the construction site which was pretty fun wearing a hard hat on site. It just made me feel very involved in the process. The new banquet is not the only structure that is under construction. If you are familiar with this intersection in St. Peter’s you would know it is not the most appealing. I have been told they are moving the entrance over to the stoplight for ease of access to and from the location. By doing this they will also be adding a bridge over the lake which adds curb appeal in my opinion. Landscaping will be added in and around the property and they are fixing the edging around the lake and adding a water fountain in the middle. I was very hesitant about having my reception at a good ol “banquet” center. The pictures they have provided on the Knot does not give this building justice. The class you feel entering the front doors to the modern lighting fixtures above to the updated technology that can be used for your reception. This is not your typical banquet center. I am so excited to see the final phase of this new venue!
