Way To Go Limousine, Inc.

I so do not want to write this review, because I hate to be negative and I don’t like to speak negatively of anyone. Unfortunately, I have to say we had a pretty terrible experience with Way To Go for our wedding transportation on August 10th, 2024. We had a pretty simple route for the driver to make rounds picking up guests from two hotels (less than 5 minutes away from each other) and then drop all guests at our wedding venue (less than 10 minutes away from the hotels). The driver, Lawanda, was to make rounds for two hours leading up to the wedding, and then return guests as needed back to the two hotels. Right before I walked down the aisle, I found out that my grandparents had not arrived yet because they had been waiting over 45 minutes for a shuttle from one of the hotels. It seemed the driver was only going to one of the hotels for a while and left my grandparents stranded. They ended up having to drive there and we had to push our ceremony start time back because of the shuttle’s mistake. I also later found out that when the driver drove from the hotel to the venue for the first time, she asked passengers where they were going as if she didn't know where she was supposed to be headed. Incredibly poor communication and planning, although I clearly laid out exactly what to do in my communication with the company. Then, at the end of the night, the driver left without bringing me and my husband (bride and groom) and our bridal party back. We were stranded at the venue and our coordinator had to call the driver and convince her to come back for us. The driver did return for us but had a very sour attitude and was incredibly rude to me and my bridal party. We tried to brush it off and enjoy the last moments of our wedding day as we rode back to the hotel. As I was getting off the bus, the driver stopped me, the bride, and proceeded to tell me how my maid of honor is the reason why she got “cussed out” and my maid of honor “got her in trouble.” I’m not sure why or how she decided to blame my maid of honor, but she took absolutely no responsibility, and had no issue being incredibly rude to me on my wedding day. Not to mention, I was there when my coordinator called her and she did not curse at the driver one single time. One of my other bridesmaids just told her “we’re not going to ruin the bride and grooms last minutes of their night, thank you” and it was left at that. Needless to say I was very disappointed with the service and outcomes from Way To Go. I’m not sure if Lawanda was new, or having an off night, or what, but her behavior was unacceptable and I had several guests tell me they were concerned for their safety while she was driving them, for those that actually did get a shuttle ride. Leading up to the wedding, everything was very professional and I felt confident in the company, but they did not follow through. It has now been 4 days since my wedding and I have not heard anything from management (who are aware there was a problem) to apologize or try to make it right. What a letdown.

We used Way To Go limousine for transportation to get the bridal parties from the hotel to the venue. Our driver was Scott, and he was so great! He was super friendly and had a great energy to keep us all excited for the wedding! He had an aux cord and we were able to play music and get pumped! He then took our bridal parties and our photographers around the arboretum to take pictures. It was so perfect and helped make our pictures run smoothly! My communication with the company prior to the event was very easy and professional. I would 100% using this company for your transportation needs!

They list themselves as serviceable for Rockford, IL on The Knot but then reject any quote requests for Rockford.

Just had a driver illegally go around me in a 30mph double line zone for no reason. I was even doing faster than the speed limit. 0 out of 10 would not recommend if that's the type of people employed with this company.
