An absolute dream! The Wayfare Tavern was our location for our cocktail hour, dinner, and reception after our ceremony at SF City Hall. Our family and friends were so impressed with the space, service, drinks, and food. I am so so happy we chose them. Everything came out beautifully, and in terms of decor, we really kept it minimal to highlight the space. Highly recommend if you're having a wedding of 50 or less guests!
We used Wayfare Tavern for our after ceremony reception. We had the Bartlet room for 25 guests. It was served family style and we had a fantastic time. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The Bartlet Room is somewhat secluded from the rest of the restaurant so it was nice and private. We also had several vegetarians and gluten free guests which they were able to accommodate without issue.
We rented out the Sequoia Room (top floor) of Wayfare Tavern for our city hall wedding celebration, and we're so happy we did!
The room itself is gorgeous and old-school SF, complete with a skylight view of the Transamerica Pyramid. The food was delicious, as is to be expected with Wayfare, and the drinks were excellent and free-flowing all evening.
It was pretty easy to coordinate logistics and menus ahead of time using the online portal, so when the big day finally came, there weren't any surprises. Most importantly, the staff on the night were truly excellent. They know how to run a dinner really well, and everything flowed seamlessly. Other than asking us a few questions (about timing) throughout the night, they handled everything on their own, which was a huge relief for us. They were professional and pleasant and really made our event a huge success.
