WCO Events

Kathleen at WCO was just amazing! She was an incredible help the month before our wedding. She was organized and detailed and made sure that everything was exactly how we wanted it, no matter how small. Things would have been much more stressful without her!

I don’t know if I can completely express how happy I was that I hired WCO Events. My planner was Kathleen, and she made the destination wedding planning process smooth and FUN. Kathleen provided so much value to me that hiring her as a planner was easily the best decision we made. We hired WCO at the very beginning of planning, and she helped us sort through venue options and think of details/questions that had never crossed our mind. Every vendor selection was guided by WCO – they have deep knowledge of who does quality/dependable work in Key West and the surrounding area. So many questions and nitty requests can pop up, but Kathleen always responded with such positive and helpful attitude. My budget was ALWAYS respected, and Katleen/WCO guided me to some under the radar vendors, including my florist and officiant, that created spectacular value and beautiful personal touches. Kathleen was a GREAT communicator and always responded promptly and thoroughly. I’m a type-A planner, and even I was blown away by her logistics and scheduling. I was totally relaxed for the wedding weekend and got my wish of “not having to think on the wedding day, just to experience and enjoy.” I have heard stories of other brides that hired planners and weren’t happy with their experience, but I would hire WCO and Kathleen a million times over. Don’t hesitate, for a second, hire WCO (especially Kathleen!), and you’ll be so grateful you did. Now that the wedding’s said and done, I’ll miss Kathleen’s bright emails and helpful advice in my inbox, I wish I could hire her to plan other aspects of my life!

Kathleen at WCO helped us in the last few months of planning our Key West wedding in December 2023, with Alex also helping out on the day of. I can't say enough about what a great experience it was. Kathleen herself is communicative, reliable, warm, detail-oriented, calm, and efficient -- everything you could want in an event planner. She was always supportive of our ideas and respectful of our budget and preferences while also sharing her own input. Although we only worked briefly with Alex, she also was kind, enthusiastic, and so on top of things that some of our guests assumed she was the lead planner. WCO is well-connected and well-regarded locally. After parting ways with another planner, we asked our venue coordinator and photographer for a recommendation and both suggested WCO. We later learned that my hair and makeup artist, who had been recommended to me by several people, was using WCO for her own wedding. (And visitors to Key West know that the local suggestions are always the best ones.) In the end, we couldn't have been happier with how our wedding went. My partner and I both agreed that the money we spent to have WCO's help was our very best budget decision. They made the day run smoothly and easily for us and our guests, despite the fact that we had planned everything from across the country and that our reception took place at an atypical venue (private residence). Everything looked more beautiful than we could have imagined and we were so grateful to leave the logistics in WCO's capable hands and actually get to enjoy the event!

I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful Kathleen was at helping me think through all the details and extra complexities of a private home wedding with a bride and groom who wanted to do things a bit different ;) She was always exceedingly professional and kind, punctual, organized, and just an all around amazing person to have on your side for your wedding. If you are looking for someone who will truly take all the stress out of planning your wedding, I highly recommend Kathleen and WCO.
