Professional and responsive on emails. We were able to make our vows. Perfect!
The officiant services provided by Marty Holmes and We Do I Do's for our wedding was not what we had expected. In the months leading up to the wedding, Marty was very helpful and r...
esponsive over email, so we did not suspect we would have any surprises with the services. We had our rehearsal the morning of the wedding, and we felt that Marty did not come prepared. She said she recently had a head injury so she was still "out of it" and that it has been a little while since she's done a wedding. Marty showed up late to the rehearsal and did not provide much guidance while we were rehearsing the ceremony. She asked me to send her the speech she would be saying during the ceremony because she lost it. Our wedding coordinator ended up having to rush to print it out because Marty could not receive emails on her iPad. Additionally, we were told by friends and family members that Marty's voice could not be heard during the ceremony.
After I came back from our honeymoon, I discovered that Marty wrote the wrong month on our marriage license. We had to drive the marriage license back to her to get her to cross out October and write November on the license. Our marriage license will have a crossed out date forever, but there's no changing that now. There were many obstacles from working with her that I believe could have been avoided if Marty decided to take some time for her health and not chosen to work during this time. Based on other reviews, I'm certain that this is not Marty's typical behavior, but her health issues were a major factor to our poor experience with her.
Highly recommend We Do...I Do's! Marty and Jeff were so easy to work with. From the very first conversation, Marty was nothing but helpful and highly responsive. They have multiple...
wedding ceremony templates to pick from and we loved that they had experience with different cultural unity traditions as well. We were able to fully customize our ceremony to exactly how we envisioned. When we met Jeff in person on the day of our wedding, he was incredibly kind and made us feel comfortable. The ceremony was beautiful and went smoothly. Can't thank them enough for making it so special.

Marty was wonderful! She was communicative during planning, professional, prompt and had a terrific sense of humor. She made our ceremony a joy.
During the planning process I mostly chatted with Marty, who runs the business with her husband. She was great and easy to talk to. During our final meeting, she shared that her hu...
sband would be running the ceremony.
I was a little bummed because a part of me really wanted a woman to perform the ceremony, but it wasn't a big deal so we moved forward.
One thing I really wanted was for the officiant to ask guests prior to the ceremony to put their phones away. Marty and I talked about this and she told me that they both always do this, and it was something she cared highly about. However, I found out from guests after the ceremony that this announcement was never made.
If you go with this vendor, I would recommend requesting that your meetings be with the actual person performing your ceremony on the day of - so things do not get lost in translation.
Very easy to work with and Marty is so nice and accommodating. I put in bits and pieces from ceremonies I loved and it came out so beautiful! Jeff flowed through the ceremony with ...

as really easy to talk to. She made sure if needed help with anything to let her know. I was so happy to receive her feedback on our vows. Another great thing with their services is that you get to choose from plenty of ceremonies or even get to create your own! We decided to pick pieces from multiple ceremonies and finally created the perfect one to match our personalities! Marty was quick and responsive in giving us feedback of our ceremony as well. Any little question, Marty was there to give advice. At first my husband wanted Jeff to officiate to keep things traditional but I knew in my heart Marty was the one as we had planned everything with her. She has such a kind voice and sweet personality that we knew we needed to choose her. Everything felt right with her, and she spoke wonderfully at our ceremony! She arrived on time and dressed professionally and matched our color scheme. Please look no further and choose Marty, you will NOT regret it. Best decision we made!!
I don't know if this is the case for all of their weddings, but for us we worked mostly with Marty prior to the ceremony, and Jeff was there to officiate (is that the right word?) ...
on the day of. Marty was so wonderful in accommodating all of our changes in plans (time, location, etc.) due to Coronavirus and helped keep us calm through the stressful times! Jeff arrived on the day of on time, dressed formally as requested and did the ceremony exactly as we imagined despite us having minimal communication with him beforehand - Jeff and Marty must have really great communication! Anyway, we HIGHLY recommend!
Jeff and Marty were really easy to work with! We got the exact ceremony we wanted, and were even allowed to tweak it with specific words- swapping out “I Choose You” for “I Pick Yo...

ited to book them! Jeff and Marty's business allowed us to customize the ceremony to however we wanted, and we were able to utilize the many ceremony outlines they have available to their clients. They had worked with our day-of coordinator before, so it was an effortless coordination with them the day of. Jeff did a great job capturing the attention of our guests the day of!

She also took care of mailing off our marriage license, which was returned to us via mail as soon as we were back from our honeymoon. We met with Marty a month before the ceremony at her house to discuss our ceremony and she gave us great pointers regarding the marriage license, ceremony, etc.. I gave two stars because the actual ceremony words were very good, but everything else went wrong. My daughter and her husband picked Marty and Jeff because of the reviews and beca...
use they wanted a non-specific religion ceremony. They requested that Jeff perform the ceremony. They scheduled a time to go out to their house, which was far out of town on a work night and when they arrive, Marty was in her robe, Jeff was nowhere to be seen (he was sick in bed), but they went ahead and met with Marty to discuss what they wanted.
The day of the wedding, 30 minutes before the ceremony, Marty arrived with the excuse that Jeff had laryngitis. We were beginning to think he didn't exist, but obviously he does since several reviews were written around that time where he performed ceremonies. My daughter was very upset that the switch was made with no warning and after having been told the wedding was black tie optional, Marty showed up dressed very casually. The event planner had to loan her a black jacket to appear more formal.
After all of this, the ceremony itself was very nice, but it doesn't negate the fact that they were less than professional during the process.
We do...I do's did a great job helping me put together our ceremony. We had a hiccup about the ceremony time, which was stressful the day of the wedding. But Jeff did a wonderful j...

It was a perfect decision for my husband and I to design our little ceremony exactly how we wanted it. It was an absolute pleasure, I highly Recommend.

worked with his wife, Marty, for the majority of the process and she was just wonderful - so kind and willing to meet or talk with us whenever we wanted. She was also extremely helpful when putting together the ceremony wording so that we got exactly the ceremony that we wanted! We even asked to add something to the ceremony the day-of, which was a little too short-notice, but they were able to incorporate it! I highly recommend hiring them for your wedding!

We now have our big wedding reschedule for Feb 2018 and Marty will be there again as our officiant. She really works with you on the ceremony layout and did an excellent job!
