Soon after We Take The Cake appeared on three different Food Network shows (Challenge, Road Tasted and Unwrapped) and has since been featured in Entrepreneur Magazine, CNNmoney.com, The washington Post, Miami Herald and other magazines, newspapers and local television shows and radio. I ordered a cake for my daughter's bday. I showed them a pic of exactly what I wanted, which they said they could do. The picture had fresh flowers on the cake. The person told me they could make the flowers out of icing or they could do fresh flowers if I bought them and they would put them on. They told me the fresh flowers would look better. I brought them the flowers the day they told me to come to pick it up and I was told no decorators were there that day. They called the manager Jean who proceeded to tell me there was nothing they could do and that the cake looked so pretty it didn't need flowers. The cake looked ok, but not like the picture. The color was all wrong and it looked like a cheap version of the cake pic I sent them. They did tell me ahead of time that the color might not be exact, but it would be very close to the color in the picture. The color was nowhere near close! I told her several times that was not what we agreed on. They offered no resolution. I will never order from We Take The Cake again.

It was a bit hard reaching out to them at first and sharing my cake design idea. I was also mistaken as another bride a few times, as I am sure they have many people to coordinate with. However, once the ball got rolling, they were a pleasure to work with and the cake came out amazing!! We had the strawberry cake with white sugar flowers all over. It was more than I imagined!

I loved the people at this company and enjoyed my experience! They can decorate a cake beautifully and it is truly delicious. The reason for the 4 stars is that they are unable to make vegan cake. I know it is not an impossible thing to do, but I would have hoped they were able to accommodate. They do have a gluten free option if that floats your boat. I REALLY loved the red velvet at tasting and that is what I wanted. My husband liked the chocolate and vanilla stacked. They had the awesome idea to do one tier choc/vanilla and the other two red velvet. It was super cool because my vendor placed a different cake at each seat...ex: one person red velvet, neighbor choc/vanilla, next neighbor red velvet. it was cool because guests could switch with one another. I had red velvet day of and LOVVVVED it...i dont know how the top tier will make it to a year in my freezer lol. My husband said the choc/vanilla was not as good day of and wished he would've picked red velvet. Overall, great experience and friendly people.

Jean was a pleasure to work with. Our wedding cake was included with our venue. After being a guest at another wedding and loving the cake, we were pleasantly surprised to find out it was from We Take The Cake, as this was one of our cake vendor options. Once we found that out, we knew we had to pick them. We didn’t even bother trying the other bakers. Jean set up an appointment for us right away and suggested cake combinations. We did a different flavor for each of the 3 tiers and our guests could not get enough of it!!! Seriously! Everyone told us how awesome the cake was and asked where we had gotten it. The decoration was simple, just like I wanted and we added fresh tropical flowers to it. We’re so glad we went with them and can’t wait to enjoy more on our 1 year anniversary!

We had our wedding at the Historic Maxwell Room, and We Take the Cake was on their preferred vendor list. And it was a wonderful recommendation. The tasting was a lot of fun, and they made the cake just as I wanted it. It arrived on time, and fed EVERYONE and then some. We got a blended flavor of chocolate and white cake...the chocolate cream cheese was a HIT! So I do recommend it if you're trying to decide. I really liked the simplicity of flavors. I get why people want an array of options, but with cake...it can definitely get out of hand. I loved that there were only a few flavors and combinations to try and we got to try all of them, and then however we wanted the cake was no problem. Really! Check this place out! My husband has a gluten allergy and it was nearly impossible to find a bakery that provided GF wedding cakes. We Take The Cake did! The GF options were amazing. We did Red Velvet and Coconut. I loved the lemon raspberry which is not available in a GF flavor and they were able to make a cake for us with all the options. It was perfect and beautiful!

We were hesitating between two bakeries for our wedding cake and picked more expensive one -We Take The Cake because we just loved lemon & raspberry cake at the tasting. Unfortunately, our four tier wedding cake (3 tiers of lemon and one chocolate) had neither lemon taste nor lemon aroma. The design of the cake was great as we wanted!

I absolutely loved working with We Take the Cake. Jean made it such an easy process except there were too many amazing flavors to choose from! For our wedding cake we had a triple tier with a chocolate/vanilla and a coconut - people were coming back for seconds eating it with their hands. Needless to say, I am very anxious for my 1 year anniversary to defrost and finish that cake!

Obsessed - that's all I can say about our perfect wedding cake. Jean was so wonderful to work with and made sure to bring the cake my husband and I had in mind to life! I love vanilla cake while my husband can't get enough chocolate, so Jean told us about a layered cake they do with in each tier - we were sold and our guests could not get enough of it! I've had wedding cake in the past that was dry and flavorless - this was SO not the case with We Take the Cake. This was seriously the best cake I have ever had and I am recommending them to everyone I know!

We hired We Take The Cake to make our wedding cake because they offer gluten-free options. Due to my gluten sensitivity, we wanted our wedding to be 100% gluten free. From the moment we met Julie, we knew we were in good hands. The tasting was great fun and the cakes tasted great - which isn't always easy when GF. On the wedding day, the cake arrived on time and it looked perfect! It was exactly what we hoped for. Everyone kept commenting on how great the cake tasted - I don't think anyone even realized it was gluten free. We Take The Cake is top notch!

We take the cake was one of the vendors our hotel, Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort, worked with for our wedding cake. The cake was included in our wedding package. Our cake was breathtakingly beautiful and absolutely delicious. Every single person we talked to had nothing but great things to say about the cake and we are still receiving calls and text messages asking where we got our wedding cake from.

The cake was absolutely delicious! We chose a lemon cake with a raspberry filling and buttercream frosting and it was so yummy. The guests could not stop raving about how good the cake tasted. The cake was also beautiful and exactly what we had imagined for our wedding cake. It was simple and elegant and we can't wait to dig into our top tier layer a year from now!

We chose this place based on taste, and they definitely delivered when it came to taste. The design however, was very disappointing and communicating with them was challenging. Their e-mail is manned by several different people, each of which had a different interpretation of what they thought my cake was going to look like. I had to re-explain the design to at least 3 different people, and it wasn't until the third person that I was told the design I had already confirmed with 2 other people couldn't be done. We settled on a new design but even then the cake design did not meet my expectations. What was supposed to be a hand painted whimsical effect looked more like a splotchy sprayed job. If you want a simple cake that tastes great, this is your bakery. If design is a priority, go elsewhere.

I ordered from We Take the Cake ONE week before my wedding. They were SO accommodating. The cake turned out perfectly and it was so delicious. Their cakes are realllyyyy good. They reassured me that I had nothing to worry about and they were right. I highly recommend them. I ordered a smaller cake than the amount of guests I had (they're a little pricy. About $6-$10 per slice). The cake was more than enough because I had a huge dessert bar.

Because our cake was included in our package through our reception venue, the most interaction we had with We Take the Cake was during our tasting. Jean was fantastic. She gave us several samples to go so that my husband could try them when he flew in that evening. She also gave us options on how to get a fondant look we wanted in a buttercream cake without additional charges, since our cake was already included. On our wedding day, we spoke with guests who were eating 2-3 slices of the cake because the red velvet flavour we chose was so delicious. The design was beautiful and exactly how we pictured. And although it's customary to save the top tier and enjoy it on your first year anniversary, we knew it was too good to wait that long and we finished it (save for a piece) that weekend with our family. It was that good!

Jean’s cakes are TO DIE FOR. We chose her red velvet with buttercream as our wedding cake; it was gigantic, delicious, and very moist. I will definitely be ordering a cake from her again and have it shipped to my home! The only drawback to using this vendor was that it was difficult to get a hold of someone at the shop due to the 3 hour time difference.

We Take The Cake was fantastic! The tasting was absolutely delicious!! If you want to taste any thing in particular you should let them know when you schedule the tasting so that they have the tastings you want. The cake design was exactly what I wanted and turned out so beautiful with out being over done. The taste and design were both equally amazing and delicious! I would highly suggest using them my guests said it was the best cake they had ever had, and I agree!

Not only was this cake beautiful, but it tasted even better, which you can't often say about pretty cakes. We are still getting rave reviews weeks after our wedding. The only downfall was that our wedding was on the beach, so we had our cake as a beach theme. We bought special seashells to go on the cake, but she wouldn't put them on there for us. We had to have someone else do it. Pretty lame. But otherwise good. :)

Most wedding cakes look great but taste mediocre. At We Take the Cake the taste matches the look. Everyone talked about how delicious it was. It was very moist and really truely was amazing.

This cake was sooooo yummy. It was included in our package with the Renaissance Boca Raton Hotel and its taste and design exceeded our exceptions. Elegant and packed with favor. Highly recommend.

I learned about We take the Cake as part of our venue package. We went in for our tasting and the staff was very helpful. The cake was moist and the different flavors were delicious. The cake design turned out beautiful and we were able to choose three different flavors for each tier. I would definitely recommend this company.

This is our favorite cake shop ever! Their cake is so incredibly delicious! They made us the perfect wedding cake of alternating tiers of combo cake and the most heavenly lemon/raspberry cake I've ever tasted at their suggestion! You cannot go wrong!

This vendor made us specialty cupcakes and a grooms cake! It was easily the tastiest cake we have ever had. Every guest that left RAVED over the quality treats! I would recommend them to everyone!

Tried 3 different wedding cake vendors before finding this one. The cake here at we take the cake was by far the best ive had at a wedding, and so many of my guests said the same. We chose lemon cake w rasberry preserve and a cream cheese filling, it was beautiful also!!

Beautiful cake that actually tastes as good as it looks! We had a combination of vanilla and chocolate cake and it was amazing. Very soft, moist cake and very rich in flavor. All guests loved it as did we :)

Our cake from We Take the Cake was absolutely delicious and beautiful. We went with a simple contract/hotel package cake as it was included in the cost of the wedding reception package. It was gorgeous and tasted fantastic. The delivery went without a hitch and we were pleased with the outcome. Our only frustration with We Take the Cake was that we had set up the contract to have 2 different kinds of cake--chocolate on the bottom layer and white on the top two. We set everything up and had it ordered last summer. Then, a few weeks before the wedding, we received a phone call saying that they were unable to make the bottom layers chocolate because the cake would not be strong enough to support itself. As a result, we had to change our entire order, and only had about 20 slices (out of 100) of chocolate cake. We were disappointed in this, and still confused about why the chocolate cake was not strong enough to support the other layers. I would definitely recommend We Take the Cake as a vendor, but make sure to check on the type of cake you want and that you won't have problems with it.

The cake tastings were good but nothing exciting and for the price, they could hardly offer the flavors or combinations that I wanted. And the cost for small additional details was pricey. I went with another vendor at half the price with double the flavor.

Lets start by saying I do not like cake and did not want cake at my wedding. But to go with the social norms (and bc of the request/pressure from my mom) I decided to get a cake. Went to 1 other cake tasting and by far, We take the cake was truly the best. I actaully liked it. And everyone complemented me on the cake. Since I really wasn't into the cake I didn't really care what it looked like. But I went and found a picture of one that matched my wedding decor/theme. I wasn't sure if they would get it to match (especially since I wasn't getting fondant) and the cake was amazing and beautiful. I loved it and was really happy with how it turned out!

We take the bake not only has the best tasting cakes I've ever eaten but they provide excellent customer service in their shop. I live in PA but planned to wed in FL. While visiting the area we happened upon WTTC 1 hour prior to flying out of MIA. I told the shop owner that we wanted to try a cupcake to decide if we wanted to have them bake our wedding cake she said,"Ok hold on" then returned with a full tray of cakes and icings for a complete tasting. My sister and I were so impressed with her service and EVERY flavor of cake that we ordered the cake that day.

We Take The Cake was one of our venue package options, and I originally decided to go for a tasting because I remembered Oprah's past rave reviews. This cake was seriously the BEST cake I've ever had (and I try a lot of baked goods). We ultimately went with red velvet, and the accompanying cream cheese frosting was delicious. A big thank you especially to Leah who dligently worked with us to make our cake design inspiration a reality! Unfortunately we live too far away (in Boston) to visit regularly, but are already dreaming of our 1st anniversary cake. Thank you, We Take the Cake!

Our cake was not only beautiful but delicious too. We had about four layers alternating between pound cake, key lime and strawberry flavors. They were all delicious but I think the strawberry was my favorite. Plus, it was pink!
