We hired WED for day of services. While Lynn made everything come together on the day of, the meetings prior were always quite stressful. I was asked the same questions over and over and over again in each session that I had already answered. Unless you have a strong and confident personality I would not go with this vendor or it's likely you will be talked over most of the time. i do think the price was reasonable for the service provided.
We hired W.E.D. for full service planning and DJ services, and Lynn (and Matt) did not disappoint! We were engaged for six months without planning a thing due to the overwhelmingness of it all, so when I told Lynn that we needed someone to "hold our hands" throughout the process, she did! She always had vendor suggestions, and if we wanted to go outside of her suggestions, she would give advice and help manage the communication. Honestly, if we didn't hire W.E.D., we'd probably still be planning our wedding!
In the throes of it I would always joke "we should've just eloped!", but we had the best wedding day ever, and W.E.D. was a huge part of that. The price was also reasonable and the ROI priceless. Thank you Lynn and Matt for everything!
We hired Lynn at W.E.D. for reception coordination services a couple months out from our wedding. Despite jumping in much later in the planning process than what she typically does, Lynn was able to quickly familiarize herself with our schedule and make recommendations based on what we had. She thought of all the little details that we would have otherwise forgotten and helped handle the critical behind-the-scenes tasks on the day of, which made for a stress-free and smooth wedding day. We would absolutely recommend her for anyone in MI that needs wedding planning or coordination services.
Lynn is absolutely wonderful and couldn't recommend her enough. I'm not very good and planning really anything and she held our hands every step of the way. You won't be disappointed!
Lynn was the best decision we ever made for our wedding day! We booked her design&decor, floral, and day-of coordination, and couldn't have been happier with all three services. She gave expert advice throughout the process, made sure that every last detail was attended to, and solved problems before they became a problem. She's a great communicator, prompt and proactive. The preparation before our day, coordination throughout our day, and follow up with us after our wedding was exactly what we needed and didn't even know to ask for. 5 stars, highly recommend, would hire again :) THANK YOU LYNN!!!
I’m a very headstrong and stubborn person and I didn’t think I needed a wedding planner. LOL. What a nightmare my wedding would have been without the expert guidance and help from Lynn. Throughout the process she made both of us feel so supported and like we were in really good hands. The level of care and attention made us feel like our wedding was her only priority during an exceptionally busy year for weddings.
Lynn expertly navigated so many facets of the day and remembered all of the details. She got us a Saturday in 2022! She literally saved the day (twice that I can count, and probably more ways that I wasn’t even privy to.) Lynn advocated for us, asked clarifying questions and pressed some issues with vendors to be sure we were covered. She is a really clear communicator and was direct.
We also got a ton of compliments on the music and the way Matt managed the dance floor energy. Everyone had so much fun! Thank you for accommodating all of our music requests. We also really appreciated Matt’s quick thinking to do the photo race through with the tables when We were feeling too overwhelmed and tired to talk to everyone.
The event was beautiful, we both had such an exceptional time. Our only complaint is that it went by so fast! Thank you to Lynn and Matt for throwing us such a great party and helping us celebrate one of the most important days of our lives. We couldn’t have done any of this without you!
My husband and I loved working with Lynn to plan our wedding. She was full of great ideas and suggestions which we found helpful because neither of us have planned a wedding before. She gives you access to an amazing program called Aisle Planner that helps keep everything organized and in one place. On the day of the wedding Lynn saved the day after my florist (one I hired) dropped off a hot mess of flowers. All in all, Lynn was wonderful throughout the entire wedding planning process and on the day off.
People never tell you that the hardest part about getting married is not getting to talk to your planner regularly anymore- at least that has been my experience with Lynn. She not only is so incredibly knowledgeable, but she is warm and fun too. Whether I wanted her opinion on style choices or how to navigate interesting family dynamics, she was always there to provide honesty and support. I am so incredibly thankful for Lynn because she is the reason I was able to get ready and walk down the aisle with next to no worries- I knew that whatever happened, she would be there to handle it. And now because of her, I get to look back at the process and the wedding day with so much happiness in my heart.
We had six months to plan our wedding and a recent newlywed suggested hiring a wedding planner/consultant. There were so many decisions to make. Lynn Lucas was the ideal person for us as she has extensive experience and knowledge of local contacts to help us clarify our plans. Our wedding day could not have been better. We have no regrets. Lynn met with us multiple times in advance, spoke with our vendors, was very organized and truly took the stress out of our wedding day.
One of Lynn’s many qualities is that she listens and follows through. An example is she made sure there was warm water and honey for me to drink at the reception, as I tend to lose my voice when talking a lot. On our wedding day she was on task but discreet, and there whenever needed.

Lynn was amazing from beginning to end of our wedding planning experience. She helped guide us through all stages of the process from vendor contract reviews, timelines, deadlines, etc. My now wife and I said that the main thing we both wanted out of our wedding was to be able to look back on it in the future and focus on what an amazing day it was, not about how stressful it was. If you and you're parnter feel the same, you should highly consider W.E.D.
ve been debating on wether or not to leave a review for this business. I hate giving negative reviews but I can’t seem to get over this. My wedding was June 12th. All of the coordination up to the wedding was great and the pricing was affordable. On the day of my wedding, nobody showed up. I called and Lynn seemed almost confused as to who I was or why I was calling. I was called back shortly after and was told that Matt was having car troubles. What I cannot understand is why Lynn hadn’t called as soon as she had known. Somehow he managed to “go back home and switch cars.” How one does that when their car isn’t working is beyond me. I wish that I could believe car troubles were the truth but when Matt finally arrived two hours late he was dressed in a t-shirt and cargo shorts (NOT okay for a wedding). From my perspective they forgot about my wedding. In short, this business ruined the wedding I had been planning for so long. I can’t just do it all over again. I’d rather not have my photographer show up. With no DJ to facilitate what was going on, I, the bride, with no microphone or speakers, had to “host” my wedding. By the time Matt arrived everyone was so bored and confused that they started leaving. In the end, I did receive a prompt refund which I appreciate. However, this level of miscommunication cannot be ignored and to this day I’m still quite irked. I know that they, “felt awful,” but that’s just not enough. My special day was ruined by this business.
I am a wedding planner/coordinator and decided to hire someone to coordinate my wedding. The positives: Lynn answered emails promptly and held meetings. She arrived on time for the rehearsal and wedding day. She assisted well with set-up and was able to be flexible when there wasn't time to finish all of the decorating.
The negatives: 1) The most important aspect of the wedding for my family was the music. I specifically timed my processional to a medley of music I created and gave Lynn exact cues. I knew that it wouldn't be perfect but that it would look good to have people enter based on the changes in the music. We had a meeting about it and I supplied her with a recording of me saying the cues and notes with the exact timing. At the rehearsal, Lynn did not follow my instructions. She told me we were going to do it her way, not mine. It took 5 tries to get her to do it my way, and my plan worked beautifully. On the wedding day, she messed the cues up again. It only worked out b/c my MOH ignored her cue and waited for the correct timing with the music.
2) She didn't play the music for our unity ceremony, even with my pastor cuing her for 10 minutes and the info in the program and on her computer screen. I was devastated.
3) Her assistant was dressed unprofessionally in tight patterned yoga pants. This was a black-tie formal wedding. Her assistant was very rude ot me and to my wedding party.
3) At the reception, Lynn sat making notes in notebooks rather than assisting guests.
4) She was incredibly rude to me and to my bridal party. She glared at them and yelled at them. Everyone felt uncomfortable.
5) I had no support in our meetings. It was completely up to me to determine what to talk about...no recommendations other than arguing with me about music.
6) Lynn said that she coordinated with my vendors prior to the wedding. My reception started late b/c the photo booth vendor was refusing to enter until their final bill was paid. I sent payment earlier that was not processed. The vendor was screaming at me, and I had to quickly figure out a way to pay. This was incredibly stressful just before my grand march and made me feel awful going into the party. This would have been avoided if she had done her job or had and contacted the vendors.
7) Lynn told me at booking that she had done a lot of work at my venue. My venue indicated later that Lynn was not a regular nor recommended planner.
8) I booked her partially because she has a large inventory of rentals. I ended up not renting from her b/c she did not have a way to show me what she has. I made a list of decorations I thought I might want (had to create this on my own since she didn't help) and then learned she only had a couple of the items for rent. The overall lack of support was very surprising and disappointing.
I do not recommend WED for wedding planning/coordination. Above all, it is a planner/coordinator's job to listen and to follow the bride's wishes. I have been planning this day since I was a little girl and am no amateur to this business. Her inconsiderate nature and disregard for my plans as a bride heightened my stress level. I was sick the entire time worrying about the wedding rather than being able to rely on my coordinator. I did not enjoy my day because I was nervous that she would not follow through or would continue to question my plans. A professional would have raised concerns but deferred to what we wanted as a couple, not her own ideas.
This is long overdue. To get straight to the point, I highly recommend W.E.D for wedding planning, decorations and DJ services. We took advantage of all three and have ZERO complaints. Not kidding, ZERO complaints. It is not very often that people can get to the end of the night and say "I wouldn't have changed a single thing." My wife and I look back at our wedding and that is what we are left with. Not one thing we would have wanted to change. Now, I have no idea if the team at W.E.D had any chaos or frustration, because they never told us and I'd argue that is how it should be on your wedding day. They handled everything for us and it was truly perfect.
Now, to add a few other details for anyone who might be like me. I did not think we needed a wedding planner. It seemed like a waste of money, but my wife disagreed. I wasn't so excited about meetings either. I am probably a little too "go with the flow" for the average person, especially a team like W.E.D that needs to know every detail, but I am just being real. Hiring W.E.D was simply to make sure my wife felt good going into the wedding. That said, despite having to change wedding dates due to COVID, despite going from a small wedding (state mandate), to all of a sudden everything is lifted and now we can invite our entire wedding list, W.E.D was excellent. They managed to juggle changes for other couples, were clear that communication would occasionally be later than expected, because June/July 2021 became mass chaos in the industry. We got married on July 17th and despite everything W.E.D was going through, they made our day absolutely perfect and once again, my wife was right!
Even if you are on the fence, hire a wedding planner. I'll take that one more step and say hire W.E.D. Lynn and I have complete opposite personalities which was SO needed. She came through in every way you can imagine and I cannot thank her enough.

Lynn helped us with everything - from planning, to talking to vendors, to just easing our nerves when it came to figuring out how things should run. She helped us when our wedding became a vow renewal and had to be pushed back a year, helped us find a bakery, and was just all around essential to what we needed. The actual ceremony went wonderfully and smoothly thanks to her. She made everything easier, and we are SO grateful to her! We already have recommended her to our friends and they're not even getting married yet. =D
Lynn is absolutely the best! My daughter’s original wedding date in 2020 was rescheduled due to Covid and all this year we were not sure whether we would have to reschedule again or have the wedding but face limits on guests, mandates etc. To add to this stress, we ( the bride’s parents) live in a different state than the bride and groom, and both groups of us lived in a different state from the wedding site , Grand Rapids Michigan!! Lynn was recommended to me by our reception venue. She was not flustered that none of us were living in Michigan even though that wrinkle caused me great stress! Lynn was wonderful- clearly an expert in her field. She kept us informed, checked on us, held multiple Zoom meetings, and did everything she was supposed to do and even more. She also did our floral arrangements for the wedding and they were just perfect! My daughter was thrilled with how perfect everything was on her special day. We can’t Thank Lynn enough.

My wedding day absolutely could not have happened without Lynn. She was my day of coordinator, decorator, and florist. I hired her 2 years before the event and even through the pandemic she was constantly checking on us and keeping contact. The planning process was easy and professional. Lynn even used some of my fonts that I specially wanted for decorations because I can get a little picky about that which I appreciated! Now to the day of… I literally didn’t have one concern during my wedding day and actually had the opportunity to truly enjoy it and that’s the greatest service/gift I could’ve ever hoped for. Lynn kept us organized, on task, and even helped me breathe through my anxiousness. If you’re a type of bride that just wants to have things taken care of and trust that it’s done right… W.E.D is 100% the way to go.
Lynn was so helpful! Before the wedding, we met several times to go through the plan of action such that by the time the day arrived, I could just relax and enjoy it, knowing that everything would be taken care of. Much appreciated!

We had a great experience working with Lynn! We decided we needed a wedding planner as soon as we got engaged as we both work full time and did not want to devote all our free time on planning a wedding. Lynn worked with us throughout the entire process and helped us plan our dream wedding...AND THEN, Covid happened!
Our dream wedding was large AND indoors, which was no longer allowed under the pandemic rules. In two months we had to cancel/reschedule all our vendors from Wedding #1 and completely plan a new, smaller wedding in our backyard. Lynn was INVALUABLE during this switch. She set up all the new vendors (tents, restroom trailer, food truck, etc.), rescheduled our old vendors, and helped us plan a wedding that wasn't our original vision, but was still gorgeous! There is no way we could have pulled off an entirely new wedding plan in two months without her help and support.
The whole experience of planning a new wedding that was not our original vision in two months was an insanely stressful process which I wouldn't wish on anyone, BUT if you have to do it I would definitely recommend using Lynn! I can't wait to work with her again for our vow renewal!
Working with Lynn was the most wonderful experience. I have/will recommend her to all of my friends getting married in Michigan. Her worth far exceeds the pricing. I contacted Lynn once my COVID delayed wedding had to be moved outdoors and I was struggling with my vision of the day and how to have it in a tent (never my plan). Lynn was full of wonderful suggestions and support in creating my vision. She helped me connect with vendors for linens and design details and provided many items we were able to rent from her (custom signs, card box, etc) all while working in my budget. She also was extremely helpful in navigating COVID laws and regulations as they changed throughout our planning. We had many calls leading up to the day that helped me feel on track with my planning and reduce my stress. Lynn is very calming and organized, from the moment I had my first call with her I knew I didn't have to worry about anything falling through the cracks. Knowing she was there on the day of the event to have everything run smoothly was the direct reason I was able to enjoy our wedding without constantly wondering if details were being taken care of. Lynn was easily the best investment I made throughout our wedding process! Bonus: she also has an incredibly intuitive online website/program to keep to-do lists, budget, guest list, vendors, notes, etc organized and accessible on your laptop or phone.

Lynn and Matt literally turned my wedding day from being an absolute disaster, to the most magical, outstanding, perfect wedding. An hour before our ceremony, there was an awful storm, it looked like night time at 10AM, it was awful. I stayed in the getting ready room to stay relaxed, but my entire family was absolutely amazed with how quick she was on her feet, how hard working she was, and how dedicated to her work she was. You will not find another planner who is as passionate, kind, and amazing as Lynn. She made the planning process easy, I did not feel overwhelmed, and she coordinated everything with me beautifully. Matt was an AMAZING officiant and DJ. I was beyond glad I was able to book both Matt and Lynn for almost half of our vendors. Matt played the perfect songs, he energized our guests and kept things moving and flowing beautifully. Long story short, BOOK W.E.D. You will thank yourself later.
We hired Lynn as our day of coordinator and decorator. We wanted a winter wonderland theme to our wedding using black/white decor with silver accents. We knew that we would not have time to put together our dream wedding the day of and needed to hire someone that we could trust that would get it done in the way we wanted it done. SHE DID AN AMAZING JOB! Our wedding was absolutely gorgeous and we received compliments from almost everyone that is was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to!! Read on for more specifics:
I did most the work on putting together our vision ( this was not her job as we were only hiring her for our day of coordinator) and shared all this information with her either via email or print outs at our meetings. I am very organized and if you choose to go this route then you need to be also if you want your wedding to go without a hitch. I created outlines of each area of our wedding on what the decor will look like. In my opinion, she wont fully understand what you're trying to explain to her since she's not in your head and can't tell what you're thinking. These outlines included pictures and short descriptions of what our vision looked like. Help her help you. I purchased all the decor, with the exception of the backdrops for both ceremony and reception which we rented from her and they looked absolutely amazing. There was a lot of stuff! And I do mean a lot of decor for her to deal with and handle. Google winter wonderland weddings and you'll see for yourself. They are not easy to pull off and require A LOT of work. I put the decor together as much as I could prior to delivering the boxes to our venue. I also labeled the boxes and each of the boxes was organized according to what area they were being used at. For example: photo booth area, head table, centerpieces, dessert table, ceremony, ect. She does not have time if she is doing a lot of work to organize thru a mess of stuff that you may have. If you go the route we did then you need to keep in mind you are hiring her for day of services only. If you expect more then pay her for more.
She arrived the night before the wedding to start set up. It took her that night and much of the day of the wedding to get our decor done. This may sound like a long time however, she is very meticulous to detail (which you want for your wedding) and makes sure everything looks as good as possible. Even going as far to steam the backdrop areas AFTER they were set up. I gave her full rein on any last minute decisions as I knew things come up that I would not be able to predict. She did wonderful knowing what our vision was and making the right calls.
FYI-she is up front and has a strong personality. I can see how this may come off as rude with people of different personalities. I too have a similar personality as she and was worried that at times we may clash. We did not. I explained my thoughts to her thoroughly and professionally so there would not be any confusion on anything. She communicated well with us throughout the entire process and was professional. You will not find this level of expertise anywhere else for this price.
Bottom line, she is not there to be your best friend, you are hiring her to do a job and she needs to be given the proper tools to do her job. SHE WILL GET HER PART OF THE JOB DONE. As long as you do your part she will do hers. Hire her, she awesome and will not disappoint you!
Lynn is amazing! We opted for W.E.D.’s Day of Coordination Service, as well as all of our decor. When you hear ‘Day of’ you would not imagine the monthly phone calls, the advice, the accountability, and the best shoulder to lean on for all details. Her attention to detail is impeccable!! Sometimes I thought she knew my vision more than I did! We could not say enough good things about Lynn, and her wonderful husband! They turned our day into something that exceeded all of our wildest dreams ♥️
I hired Lynn with W.E.D as a full on wedding planner. I was disappointed from the start and started to question whether or not I needed her at all or for the day of and did I want to pay her anymore money? I did all the work for my wedding, setting up appointments, finding vendors, etc. We hired her husband as our dj (of course she pushed this before we decided on him or any dj. Telling us she thought we’d hit it off with him.) and her daughter for the photo booth at that point so we felt like after talking with her about our concerns regarding her as a wedding planner, we would continue to use her as she promised things would go differently from that point on. Things did not go differently and when I thought she would be worth it/make up for what she didn’t do throughout the planning process, she’d make up for at the wedding, well I was wrong and she didn’t. I won’t go into to many details as there is so many. For example, I bought votive candles and holders that she told my Aunt she was not putting out because the candles messed with her allergies 😂. Umm last I checked that’s not your call. You worked for me, therefore in a sense I’m the boss, so if I bought something for my wedding, you have no right to say you won’t put them out. She has an attitude out of this world especially when you don’t go with what she wants or her vision. Good luck to anyone who wants to work with her but I definitely recommend not doing so!
I planned a wedding in Saugatuk Michigan this summer without visiting before the wedding! Lynn was able to secure the venue and provided the beautiful flower and decor, the musicians and hair and makeup appointments, all staying within our budget. I can't imagine doing the wedding without her. The floral arrangement were outstanding, and the place cards were provided by Lynn also. She sent spread sheets with details and up to date schedules of what needed to to be done. Her husband was the officiant and worked closely with my daughter to include the thoughts she found meaningful. I would highly recommend Lynn for your wedding. She provides a complete service and was the last person to leave our reception! The BEST!
Matt did an amazing job as our DJ! He and his wife Lynn were super organized and considerate! Their prices are also very affordable for the quality of service that you get. Matt did a great job reading the room and keeping people on the dance floor! At the end of the night, people were chanting "one more song" because they were having such a good time! :D He definitely kept the party going strong, without making it feel like a club. The only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that sometimes it was a little tricky to hear what people were saying for speaking announcements, but the volume/sound quality of the music itself was fine. Overall, we're very pleased with the quality and value of W.E.D. DJ service!
We hired Lynn as our wedding planner and for our decor. She was/is amazing! She made my dream wedding come true and made the day so much easier. Anything I needed or wanted she did, with no questions asked. She is brilliant! We also hired her husband for our DJ. He was also wonderful! He knew how to keep the guests on the dance floor. I highly recommend hiring them both!😊
We hired Lynn for our DOC coordinator and Matt to be our DJ for the wedding. They are a great husband and wife team. They both did an amazing job. Lynn gave me the peace of mind of staying on track and making sure I had everything done. There was so many little things I didn’t even think of that she made sure to mention. If you haven any questions on how to do any of it she knows the answer. I had so much fun the day of the wedding knowing that she was there to take care of any of our needs or any problems that may have popped up. She even went and picked up our late night pizzas and brought them back for us. Matt was also awesome. He did such a great job DJ’ing. He played great music all night and kept the dance floor packed. He knows what he is doing and you can tell. You’re in good hands if you hire these two.
Matt was a great DJ and kept us informed and moving on events. Rocky start with W.E.D due to lack of communication, but after reaching out again they made up for it with a get DJ for our reception.
Matt did our wedding this last weekend and everything turned out amazing and smooth! Couldn’t have asked for a better guy to handle everything! Great price and the photobooth was awesome!
Lynn was amazing to work with before our wedding on July 21, 2018. She is very organized and always made me feel like I was right on track after each meeting. Matt was actually there as out DOC for our rehearsal and the big day, he was the best! Everything ran smoothly (that he could control) and looked beautiful! I had always thought a Day of Coordinator was an unnecessary expense that I didn't need and could not afford, but I am SO glad that I hired Lynn (WED). Lynn was absolutely amazing! From my initial inquiry email to our big day she was professional and thorough and I'm not sure we could have pulled everything off without her! Through our meetings leading up to the wedding she brought up so many things that I hadn't even thought of and she was so flexible with everything that we wanted! Lynn served as the perfect point person on our wedding day. I was able to sleep the night before knowing that everything would be taken care of. Originally when looking to book services I was only looking for decor for the ceremony, but boy am I glad I went with the day of coordinating package as well! Looking back now that my wedding is done, the fact I was going to attempt the day without a coordinator doesn't seem possible!
For the decor I did end up going with - it was beautiful! They had a great selection, and Lynn worked with what I wanted (aka my pinterest board) and had a ton of options to choose from! Our ceremony was beautiful, and exactly as I envisioned it.
As for day of coordinating services... WOW! So. Worth. It. Lynn made the day run ENTIRELY smoothly - from being there with us at our rehearsal the night before, to setting up the decor the morning the day of and working with all my other vendors for me, and to actually making the ceremony and reception go perfect too, I have no idea how she did it! We also experienced a major issue with our shuttle service that Lynn completely took care of! Even throughout the night, she just ensured myself and my husband were having a great time and would confirm any information with us/venue (i.e. bringing pizza out earlier, when running low on wine, etc.).
It truly was a pleasure working with Lynn and I could not recommend her enough. As an out of town bride all I could do was rely on other reviews and I was not at all disappointed! Also as a bride, in my early planning process I completely underestimated the need for a day of coordinator and now I am SO glad I got one. Matt and Lynn did a great job at our wedding! We not only had Matt DJ, but we also had them bring their photo booth. The music was great and the photo booth was a blast! Everyone had such a great time at our wedding, and the music was a huge part of that. They were also so helpful and easy to work with throughout the wedding planning process. I can't even begin to say how much of a life saver having Lynn by my side was. I suffer from anxiety and was worried that the process of planning a wedding wouldn't be doable for me. Lynn made it possible. She was everything I could have asked for. I felt lucky because of her I was truly able to enjoy my day and look back with no regrets. She went above and beyond including sewing my dress 30 minutes before walking down the isle!! Brides, if you are looking to enjoy your day and take in every last part, Lynn is a necessity.
Matt was amazing!! He kept me informed through out the whole night! He played a great mix of music. My new in laws are still talking about how happy they were they could dance to some of the songs played. He was accommodating when it came to a birthday surprise for our friend. We used W.E.D. for D.J. and Day of Coordinating services. It was one of the best decisions we made. I was originally planning to handle it all myself and I'm so glad I didn't. Having Lynn there really eased our anxiety about the day. W.E.D. provided Décor and Day of Coordination services for our Secret Garden themed wedding in May 2017. From the first meeting with Lynn, she not only understood exactly what we wanted, but was able to make it much more than we could have ever imagined. Walking into the venue before the ceremony, we were speechless at the beauty and attention to detail. With the Décor service, we did not have to worry about set-up or take-down the day of the wedding, which reduced the stress of the day immensely. Her extensive collection gave us lots of different options for table settings, signage, and any other décor we needed. Lynn was always flexible with our meetings, even willing to meet in the evenings. With the Day of Coordination, if something unplanned occurred during the ceremony or reception, we would have never known it. The day before our wedding, our officiant was unexpectedly unable to attend the wedding, and Lynn found us a replacement that same day. This is the type of impeccable service that you will receive when utilizing any service from W.E.D. Lynn and Matt take such pride in their work, and are so invested in the weddings they help plan, that by the time the day shows up they feel like part of the family. Needless to say Lynn made our wedding day so perfect. We were not stressed at all and actually enjoyed the planning process. She was very willing to work with our schedules and helped us think of things that we never would have thought of on our own. We absolutely loved working with Lynn and would reccommend her to any of our friends string married in the future!
Lynn did a fantastic job at my son and daughter in law's wedding. The wedding was at Packard Proving Grounds and we had to contract with vendors to provide everything including the caterer, chairs, linens, flowers, decorations, cake, bar and even the ice! Lynn is extremely organized, reliable and creative. She assisted with making all the plans. On the day of the wedding Lynn was the point person for all the vendors and she made sure everything was done so that the bridal party and families could relax and enjoy the day without worrying about details. At every wedding there is always something that "goes wrong" and Lynn fixed all the little problems. We could not have pulled this together without her! Thank you Lynn!!!!
We used Lynn for the full planning services as well as purchasing their decor package. All of our vendors used were recommend by WED, and they were all amazing!! We live in Minnesota, so planning an out of state wedding is very difficult. It was nice knowing Lynn had connections with these people, and everyone was so nice and professional. As the bride, I felt like there were never ending decisions that needed to be made. Occasionally conversations felt stressful, as I think Lynn is SO knowledgeable with everything, and I didn't know much about planning events like this....so we weren't always on the same page. However, it was helpful having someone there, to listen to my desires, and somehow find a way to make it all work within our budget. When all is said and done, everything turned out wonderful! When it came to decor, that's where I really appreciated Lynn's expertise. She truly made my dream a reality. I remember walking into our reception room for the first time, and thinking, "This is SO pretty, is this really our room?!" . I couldn't stop smiling and looking around at all of the details. She even purchased some new pieces because she thought they fit my vision. It was wonderful to have her set-up and take-down decor services as well. My family and I were able to fully enjoy our day. Lastly, we used Matt for our DJ services. He was great, and kept the dance floor going all night! It's so fun looking through our wedding photos, with everyone dancing and seeing the happiness!! I recommend Lynn and Matt, -and appreciate everything they do!
Our whole experience with W.E.D was incredible. We mainly interacted with Lynn via email leading up to our wedding and had the pleasure of having Matt as our DJ at our wedding. Lynn was super accommodating, sweet, professional and always quick to respond. Matt was a fantastic DJ! He was prompt and fun and truly made our wedding day special. Bonus points for having a nice little black umbrella which he was kind enough to let us use for pictures outside since it was raining. Matt was professional and fun! We were worried about having a DJ that was tacky, but Matt was completely the opposite. He was so professional, helpful and kept the dance floor full all night! My wife and I couldn't imagine wedding planning without Lynn. She was absolutely wonderful and made sure things were done when they needed to be done. She took a lot of stress off my wife and to me that was priceless. Let me just say that Matt and Lynn were the best investment we made for our wedding. Our guests still talk about our chic, farm themed wedding! We hired both Lynn and Matt as our DOC and DJ. They both did a good job in making our wedding run smoothly. However, Lynn was a little too pushy with her ideas and what SHE felt was best for the wedding, decor and how we wanted to do things. She did give a lot of tips and advice that were very helpful but she sometimes took over with what she thought was right not what we wanted or with what fit in our budget. I did most of the planning and work myself, almost seemed like we didn't need to hire her at all but in the end I'm glad we did.
Matt did a great job as our DJ. The music was fun and he played everything we wanted. Was good about making sure he played what we wanted and knew our taste in music.
I cannot tell you how awesome Matt was! Lynn, his secretary is so organized and helpful and has all the best tips! I wasn't even sure what I wanted for our small, low-key wedding at MSU's Conservatory, but Matt has been at the venue and knew everything I didn't! He kept the music going at just the right volume and pace, and got everyone on the dance floor! We had special request music, and some high-maintenance requests and he made everything happen. He knows when to ask the Bride or Groom questions on the Big Day, and when to make the calls. He is friendly, organized, and knows his stuff! I had so many people tell me they thought it was the best wedding music that had heard. I couldn't believe how affordable it was for such a professional service. I would 100% recommend Matt!!
We were living in Chicago while planning a Michigan wedding. Living 4 hours away meant it was hard to meet with vendors and plan the big day, but thank goodness we had Lynn at W.E.D. helping us through it all. She was able to get us set up with amazing local vendors, helped us make difficult decisions regarding decor and other logistics, and made sure we thought about all those things that someone who has never planned a wedding wouldn't even realize were important. Lynn gives so much of her time and energy to your special day. We had a beautiful fall wedding in East Lansing and I didn't have to worry about a thing that day because I knew Lynn had it covered. The decor she created and designed was beautiful. The staff at our reception venue said ours was one of the most beautiful they'd ever seen, and we had so many compliments from our guests! I didn't really realize how much work goes into planning a wedding and Lynn was there every step of the way to offer advice and keep us on track with the important things. I was a bride that was skeptical about the spending the money on a wedding planner or day of coordinator (especially since I'm quite particular and a little bit of a control freak). That said, we were planning our wedding an hour away and I gave in to the fact that there was no way I'd be able to handle all the wedding decor at the reception the morning of the wedding! I really enjoyed working with Lynn; she helped us keep on pace with a to-do list, helped us think about details we might have missed and was a voice of reason when we were overthinking or over stressing on small things. I really appreciate the fact that she respected my budget and helped me make sure I wasn't spending money on things that weren't necessary to make our big day special. I felt confident going into wedding week that Lynn had everything covered and it was great to see her at the rehearsal and at the ceremony to help calm any last minute nerves. She made sure our reception decor was a success and I was beyond pleased to see it exceeded expectations and matched the vision I had been planning in my head for the past year. Even better, she took concerns my mother, and my (now) mother in law had on rehearsal day and simply took care of them - I didn't have to do a thing! Small price to pay for a little bit of sanity! I felt more confident about being able to handle any snafus that could've popped up throughout the planning process and on the wedding day with Lynn by our side. I would certainly recommend her to anyone, including brides like me who like to be in charge of everything :)
We hired Lynn for her day-of-coordination services, and are very pleased that we did so! She was a force for sanity amid all the hustle, bustle, and stressors (many of them out of our control). We were a very “hands-on” couple, but in the weeks/months leading up to the wedding, we really appreciated her detailed review of our timeline and spot-on questions regarding tasks that we hadn’t thought of. But it was that week before that she most definitely proved her worth beyond any doubt. She made herself amazingly accessible, and when our day came, worked her tail off to make sure everything came together as smoothly as possible. A number of friends/family independently told us that our event was better for Lynn’s presence.
Our one regret was that we did not take full advantage of Lynn’s help as well as we could have, in particular, especially with respect to reviewing contracts with potential vendors.
If your budget allows, hire Lynn. And if you have a greater-than-average number of moving parts, hire Lynn even if it means cutting back elsewhere. We highly recommend her.
Matt did an absolutely awesome job. He played all of the music we requested, and found the perfect music to get people out on the dance floor throughout the night. Everyone loved it! He knew when to speed it up and when to slow it down. I would recommend Matt with W.E.D for anyone planning their wedding! Most of the DJs we were looking at cost the same or a little more for only four hours of service, but this company has an "unlimited hours" clause. It didn't matter how long we needed his services, it cost one flat fee, which was great for us because we wanted a really awesome DJ but we were on a budget. Matt with W.E.D was affordable and exceeded our expectations. We could not have asked for anything more, he did such an awesome job!

Hiring Lynn (W.E.D.) was the best decision we made for our wedding, and it wasn't close.
I was stunned how many thing went into planning a wedding. Things I never would have known without Lynn. I'm sure you could figure some of this out on your own, but it would be very time consuming, stressful, and not nearly as good.
You can spend money for a wedding on a lot of things, but hiring W.E.D. is BY FAR the best investment, because it is the ONLY thing you can do that can make every single subsequent investment, all other aspects of your wedding, better. Lynn knows the best vendors. She's a master with arts and crafts, designs, and final details. She immediately understood my brides vision for our wedding, and her taste on individual items. Not only will she keep you on budget, she'll know how to maximize things to get the most out of your budget. She's got crazy pull with vendors too. She convinced all our vendors to waive their standard travel fees. She convinced our photographer to show up early and stay late at a crazy discount.

Lynn will work TIRELESSLY. Its insane. It really is. I shudder to think what we paid this woman per hour. She worked for us for a year. She met with us after normal work hours at our convenience. It was very common for me to get an email from Lynn at 11 pm, and another one at 630 am the next morning. To say that she will work tirelessly for you to make your wedding perfect is to barely scratch the surface of how hard W.E.D. will work for you.

Lynn is a BEAST the day of. She makes sure every detail is perfect. She makes sure the set up is exactly right. She made sure my bride was hydrated. When I couldn't get away during cocktail hour, she made sure a waiter brought me a full plate of food just for me. She's amazing. It's hard to even explain.

When I got engaged I was so excited about marrying my best friend, that we decided to get married only 5 months later! I had no idea what that would entail, and all of the work/thought/details that go into planning a wedding.
Luckily, one of my coworkers told me about W.E.D, and that Lynn and Matt would take care of everything. They were right! After our first meeting with Lynn, I knew that that wedding would be special. She added so many creative touches that I could have never come up with on my own. She took my ideas and color scheme and went to work. They even designed and built a cupcake stand and huge chalkboard with handwritten details of my husband and I to go with the theme!
My guests are still talking about our reception and ceremony decor to this day. The venue coordinator also commented that she had never seen the venue look so beautiful, especially the head table.
I would highly recommend them for decorations, but also for wedding planning if you need someone to handle the details so you can enjoy the planning process!!

P.S. We had met with another company prior to Lynn and they were so focused on money that the fun was lost. They were also very pushy, and we never felt either of these things with Lynn and Matt!
We used Lynn for Day of Coordination and decor services. She was very friendly and helpful with making decisions. She also helped keep us track leading up to the wedding day with the timeline of booking other vendors - which was especially important because we were planning our Michigan wedding from Seattle. Lynn was a great help for avoiding stress before and during our wedding day.
Lynn from W.E.D. did a phenomenal job in helping to plan our wedding! I knew she was the perfect planner for us when I first talked to her on the phone. She was bright, cheerful, and already putting together ideas and suggestions over the phone after only hearing a few of my wants and desires. From there, she was able to help me orchestrate the multitude of vendors we employed for our big day. Although I am notorious for over-planning and over-organizing, I still found Lynn to be invaluable. She went above and beyond my expectations and I would gladly hire her again!
