We met Dewayne Ross during our venue search as he came highly recommended by one of the venues we toured. However, after we selected our venue site (which was different from the one where we met Dewayne), we chose to go with the planner recommended by our venue. We secured this particular wedding planner twelve months prior to our wedding date. After seven months into planning, it became clear that we chose the wrong planner for our needs. Not surprisingly, Dewayne had continued to stay in touch with us from our initial contact. He sent follow-up e-mails inquiring if we had taken care of certain particulars on a standard wedding timeline and if we required any assistance from him. Because we already had a planner, we ignored his e-mails for many months. However, when we found ourselves in the predicament we were in with our previous planner, he was the very first person we thought of! We discussed our situation with Dewayne, and within 24 hours he followed-up with an action plan for the remaining five months of our timeline. Needless to say, we quickly secured a contract with him as our new planner/coordinator. Over the next five months, we experienced a level of care and attention uncommon in the wedding industry. Dewayne has a natural ability to listen to the needs of his clients and respond with genuine interest. Some planners have experience with what works and while they "act" interested in your vision for your day, they ultimately want you to end up fitting into their mold (with their preferred vendors only) of what produces a successful outcome. It takes a truly skilled and experienced planner to apply unique and personalized solutions to accommodate their clients' vision. Dewayne did this and more! In fact, he absorbed our vision so well, that he negotiated a specific layout and service format at our venue that had never before been implemented. The result was simply outstanding, and matched our style to a tee! Dewayne never once made us feel like he was too busy for us; and he consistently found ways to go above and beyond our expectations. He had many clients at the time of our booking, yet treated us as his top priority. He was able to flawlessly execute the final five months of our planning while simultaneously correcting communication issues with vendors that had arisen from our previous planner. Dewayne can also officiate your wedding if needed. Although he didn't officiate ours, his experience in this area proved valuable as our ceremony contained multiple officiants and a civil court judge. He met with our ceremony participants well in advance of the rehearsal day to discuss logistics, and the success of this meeting produced a smooth rehearsal as well. We will be the first to admit that we were high-maintenance clients. Dewayne never gave us the impression that we were a burden or "too much"; instead, he was excited to take on the challenges we presented him with. His creative ability helped us to implement the more impactful ideas and save costs where needed. Our guests were able to find the meaning and significance in every detail we planned together. Dewayne is resourceful and well-connected in the industry. He has successful working relationships with vendors to accommodate all budgets. This speaks volumes about his relationship-building skills and integrity. He does what he says he will do... And MORE! We’d like to give a heartfelt thank you to Dewayne Ross of Wedding Bliss Events; our wedding officiant & planner. We had a unique vision of our wedding in the style of Classic Hollywood/the Jazz Era. This was going to be a complicated wedding with Filipino customs and traditions from one side melded with unconventional Norwegian family traditions, two birthdays, along with a live seven piece swing band doing multiple sets to add to the complication. Dewayne helped make our dream wedding come true! Throughout the planning process Dewayne was organized and well thoughtful of presenting choices which accent and contributed to our vision and kept unnecessary options from distracting and taking away from what we wanted. His years of experience planning weddings and intimate knowledge of the venue helped us choose options and navigate the hundreds of choices that come when planning. He also made wedding rehearsal a breeze with respect to everyone’s time and attention. His familiarity with multiple cultures and traditions smoothed over what we tried to blend with respect to Filipino and Norwegian customs. He coordinated with the venue to allow us to store family items and photos the night before to add a personal touch to our wedding. He also coordinated with our band to ensure timely and proper set up and break down. On our big day, Dewayne officiated our ceremony and kept everything running along with his stage presence while not overshadowing the bride and husband to be. After the ceremony, he was in the right spot to offer us an opportunity for a brief refreshment and kept the party going smoothly by taking care of the clearing of tables to make more room for the dance floor. Dewayne was a life saver when during the reception we had a wardrobe malfunction and he was on the spot with safety pins to patch us up and continue enjoying the night. Even the little details such as cookie distribution and cleanup of our gingerbread-cake ran smoothly so we could focus on our family, our guests and most importantly, each other! Dewayne was a wonderful part of our wedding and is worth his weight in gold for easing through all the little details and making sure our wedding ran without a hitch. We absolutely recommend him for your wedding or event no matter how large or small to ensure its success and have it run smoothly.
Working with Dewayne was one of the best decisions we made early in our wedding engagement. He is very creative and will listen to your ideas and concerns, always finding a good solution. Being that my husband and I were really busy with work throughout the planning, Dewayne helped us a lot dealing with vendors, which otherwise we would not had time to shop around for. All the vendors he recommended were very professional at what they do and did an excellent job. He will also work with vendors you find should you wish to do so. We got the premium package and it had the right amount of time we needed. Dewayne has a talent of making your event looking very high end, and personalized. On the wedding day, everything went very smoothly and without incident. Everything turned out better than we expected. Our stress level was kept to a minimum because we could count on Dewayne working “behind the scenes” and making things happen. His coordination was seamless, and the event was very beautiful and organized. We still get a lot of compliments from our guests. Dewayne is very patient and easy to work with, plus he’s got a great personality. We highly recommend him and will definitely keep him as our first-go-to person for planning our future events.

We used Dewayne and was not disappointed! He put my entire wedding together in 45 days and not only kept it in budget but saved me money! He is an angel to work with and always gets the job done. He knows everything and everyone! His name was well-known in the wedding community... TOP OF THE LINE - I was in great hands. Nothing but compliments! He knows so much about the business and how to help you save and come out looking the best for it. It was amazing. dewayne was great! i am a total control freak so he dealt with me accordingly and helped me concentrate on the important things. he made sure everything ran smoothly. he was a huge help and it allowed my mother and i to enjoy ourselves without worrying about anything the day of.
