We truly don’t have enough words to express how grateful and overjoyed we are with Wedding Connections—and more specifically, Nicole Luka. Our wedding was two weeks ago, and every time we look back on that day, we’re filled with so much happiness and appreciation for how perfect everything was. Nicole played such a pivotal role in making that happen.
From the very beginning, Nicole went above and beyond. While we initially hired her as a Day-of Coordinator, she quickly became so much more—our planner, sounding board, wedding therapist, and, most importantly, a friend. She responded quickly to every single email, text, or call from day one, always ready with a kind word when we were stressed and creative solutions when we hit a snag (which happened more than once).
Our wedding was actually postponed due to Hurricane Helene, and we were absolutely heartbroken. Despite dealing with her own challenges at the time—including not having power—Nicole still reached out to us with a positive attitude and immediately helped get things back on track for our new date. We truly felt like she made us a priority.
On the day of the wedding and during our rehearsal, Nicole handled everything with incredible professionalism, calmness, and grace. She was organized, experienced, and completely in control. Several members of our wedding party commented afterward that they’d never seen a planner so on top of things—and many of them have been to a lot of weddings! She thought of everything. From keeping everything on schedule to making sure every vendor / wedding party member remembered their responsibilities, she helped create a day that was flawless in every way. It was, without a doubt, the best day of our lives—and we have Nicole to thank for so much of that.

I cannot say enough about how amazing Nicole was. We hired Nicole for the Full Service Planning option. She was there for us the entire way through. I came with minimal ideas and half a vision. Nicole was able to organize my thoughts and execute my vision to perfection. Nicole also made many of the pieces at my wedding including the welcome sign and seating chart which came out beautifully. We originally had our wedding planned for October 25th, which due to Hurricane Helene was canceled. Even with limited cell service and no power, Nicole still contacted us and reassured us that everything would be taken care of and handled. I was of course upset about the cancellation, but Nicole eased the stress to almost 0. It got rescheduled for Dec. 7th. Nicole reached out to every single vendor and all were still available. The day of the wedding went absolutely perfect. I had zero stress in terms of how my vision would look when all put together. I walked into the venue and was awestruck. Nicole oversaw all of the details and things that I would have missed. The night flowed so well and we had an incredible time. After the reception, Nicole packed everything up for us so we did not have to worry about a thing. I would recommend Wedding Connections to everyone. I could not have done it without her. Nicole was absolutely fantastic. I had my wedding at the Biltmore Deerpark avenue and it was absolutely beautiful. I reside in South Carolina so Nicole was a huge help in making sure all of the North Carolina requirements were met in planning everything and served as a great resource for area recommendations. She also has an extensive selection of props and decorations you can use as well as wedding programs, seating charts etc. Our day would not have been so perfect without her.
I used Nicole's services for my son's rehearsal dinner (my DIL also used her for the wedding). I'm very glad I hired Nicole. She is organized, friendly and knowledgeable. I was glad to hand over the reins and know she had it all under control. Nicole made several suggestions that we incorporated that added a special touch. We had an issue with some table linens, which Nicole handled with ease and even secured a refund from the vendor without us having to ask! I would recommend Nicole and Wedding Connections!
Nicole Luka was worth every penny! As a matter of fact, she saved me quite a bit of money through her experience with certain items. And our interactions were always super friendly and comforting in a time of stress! She was very familiar with our wedding venue, and had good relationships there, making everything run smoothly.
We worked with Nicole for our wedding at the Cathedral of All Souls and she was great! She helped us coordinate with the church, determine the best possible flow and kept us on track on the day of the wedding. Nicole made the decision-making process much easier and less stressful with her hands-on approach. Nicole is a great person who I would highly recommend working with for your wedding!
We are so glad to have used Wed Connections as our planning team. We used the partial package/wedding planning 1 month before the wedding package and it was perfect for us. Nicole was very helpful in terms of connecting me to vendors and giving me ideas from the beginning. The wedding day was amazing. We had both a Hindu ceremony and Christian ceremony and Nicole made sure the day went as smoothly as possible. It was such a magical day!
Nicole was incredible from our first meeting to the end of our wedding day. She took care of the details that I didn’t even know needed to be taken care of. She was so great at our rehearsal. She has a commanding presence, so everyone in our 30 person wedding party listened and followed her, and everything ran so smoothly. Day-of, she fielded all questions away from me and my mom, so we didn’t need to worry about anything other than enjoying the day. 10/10 recommend using her to plan your events!
Nicole was incredible to work with. She listened to all of our needs and made it happen. Her day-of assistant, Olivia, was equally amazing. Everything was flawless and they were so enjoyable to be around. It was hard to say good bye at the end of the night! Highly recommend.
When our venue required us to book a day of coordinator, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Upon my first call with Nicole, I knew she was the one. From then on, it was pure magic. Nicole was always available for urgent items, a quick check in, or even just a dose of moral support. She found solutions to countless problems and did so with patience and ease. Leading up to the wedding it was a pleasure partnering with Nicole — I didn’t think it could get any better. Plot twist, it did! Nicole is very organized and well connected in the party world. She did an excellent job planning my daughter's wedding. She communicated well with everyone involved and coordinated a beautiful event. Her work allowed me as the mother of the bride to really enjoy the engagement and the build up to the wedding. On the wedding day, Nicole was indispensable. She is easy to be around, good to bounce ideas around with you, and then proficient in executing what is decided. During the wedding weekend, I heard from many people involved in the wedding that they were impressed with her and appreciated her talent. I would definitely use her again if I had it to do over.
The wedding has much more exceeded my expectation. It was so perfect and beautiful. All of the guests enjoyed this a lot. The magic thing is that I only put some photos on pinterest and shared with Nicole. She has made my wedding exactly as what I have in my mind and even better. This is a life time memory for me. She is amazing! I chose full planning service because I don't know much about planning an event nor do I have time for it. She did most of the things by herself. I had the pleasure of working with Nicole this past weekend for my niece's wedding. Being a wedding planner myself for the past 20 plus years, I can assure you I am extremely "picky" about the professionalism of other wedding planners. Nicole absolutely blew it out of the water with every aspect of her wedding planning. She is extremely knowledgeable about the industry, extremely organized and professional in every aspect. When we began planning our wedding almost three years ago, Wedding Connections quickly impressed us as the wedding planning service of choice. We worked with the original owner, Sara Field-Bridges, and the new owner, Nicole Luka, to get us to the big day. Both Nicole and Sara were very responsive (which I cannot stress enough how amazing this was), extremely well organized, and clear subject matter experts in their field. Their large network of wedding vendors ensured we had the best that was to offer in Asheville. They were also extremely helpful in navigating us through delays because of the pandemic and were with us every step of the way. Through their guidance, we had a wedding that our attendees say was “the best wedding” they’ve ever been to Nicole loves what she does, and the results speak clearly to that. Our wedding day was a work of art, with so many moving parts, all of them expertly managed by Nicole. The best is that through the planning, the delays, and everything else, we gained some amazing friends.

We worked with Holly and to say she was the best vendor we hired is a huge understatement! We started talking a few months out even though we only had a month-of package, and she was super helpful with recommendations the entire process!! I work in event planning myself so knew I could potentially be a demanding, type A bride, but Holly had every little detail covered and truly put me at ease!! There were a few hiccups during the day/night and she made sure everything went on without a hitch, and overall was such a huge part of making our big day as perfect as it was!!! As mother of the bride, I now miss Sara some 2 months after the wedding. She was a delight to work with and will forever be considered a dear friend. Organizer extraordinaire with creativity, patience, and insight, she gave us incredible resources with whom we were equally thrilled - florists, baker, DJ, rentals, stationer, Website and print designers... But her greatest contribution was communicating with my daughter, my son in law, his parents and my family - some of us wanted the full details, others wanted only the key decision factors and she accommodated everyone in planning the entire weekend. Harmony survived and abides - and budgets were met. Her bright attitude and flexibility made a wonderful and memorable wedding.
Came across Wedding Connections way before I even knew my wedding venue or date and had emailed Sara (the owner) about their packages. When I finally decided months later on my wedding date and my venue in Lake Lure, I went back to Sara. She was so kind and really gave me confidence that I needed in a wedding planner. I ended up going with month of - day of coordinator as I had done a lot on my own since I was living out in Puerto Rico. I started early and paid for extra hours for specific things that I couldn't just do due to my location. I was honored to work alongside Holly. She was an absolute dream! She is a DYI queen and let me text, email her even at 1 am to tell her an idea, what I needed help with or just to freak out - she was there for me! On my wedding day, Holly turned my visions into a reality and I am just so amazed at how everything turned out. She exceeded beyond what I imagined and I was super relaxed that day because I knew I could trust her. She is the sweetest person and I am so HAPPY with her work, dedication and commitment she had with me. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner and company to work with for my special day!
Sara Fields and Wedding Connections made our day so much easier and better than anything my wife and I expected. Her attention to detail, her ability to read client's needs, her agreeable demeanor and her ability to work amidst an array of personalities makes her services extremely valuable.
Here's the groom's perspective- Sara worked between my wife, my mother in law, my parents and me. She got a feel for each family member's desired level of participation and tailored her presentations and inclusions accordingly.
For example, I didn't need to know about all of the tiny details in the reception. There were a few things that I had an interest in, but I didn't need to be part of all of the planning conversations. Sara picked up on this rapidly and adjusted accordingly, saving my sanity.

Without Sara and Wedding Connections team, everything would not have been absolutely perfect. They made the wedding week my fairytale a real thing. No words can express my deepest gratitude, appreciation and respect for Sara and the Wedding Connections team. We started working with them when we initially thought we'd get married in Asheville, NC, where the Wedding Connections team is based. Upon switching locations to our hometown in Atlanta, however, Sara was ready to take on the challenge in a brand new city, and she did so beautifully!
We worked with Sara on the Day-of Wedding Coordination + 25 hours of Communication. Throughout the entire planning process, Sara was transparent with us on budget/costs, responsive to our requests and needs, and made us feel taken care of, listened to, and supported. The month leading up to the wedding, Sara took care of every detail. The Wedding Connections team has literally thought through everything. We couldn't have done it without her.
Because nothing goes PERFECTLY on the day of the wedding, I'd like to share a story on Sara's professionalism. During the reception, one of the servers from our catering company suffered from a seizure. Sara worked with the on-site staff and identified a nurse who was attending the event. The Wedding Connections team called 911 and made sure the server was attended to in the meantime. Sara even requested that the ambulance turn off its siren when coming up to the reception site to avoid any alarm or panic. She had her team standing in front of the closed door to divert any attention away from the emergency event. All of this was done without the bride, groom, bride's family, groom's family OR guests knowing that this was happening behind the scenes!! We still felt taken care of, we still felt like everything went off without a hitch. In fact, we didn't even find out until the next day! I think it speaks so highly to how Sara works swiftly, calmly, and thinks everything through carefully.
I am grateful for the Wedding Connections team. Our day would not have happened without them. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Wedding Connections. We were looking for a day-of coordinator late into the planning stage when I heard about Sara in a North Carolina wedding forum. She and Holly were there for us the day of and for so much more. She came from Asheville to Raleigh twice beforehand to visit our venues and made contact throughout the planning stage, including the week before, with our vendors. She asked the questions we didn't know we needed to ask, helped us with our day-of timeline, and checked in with me often in the weeks leading up to the wedding to help with anything on my mind. It was a wonderful experience! She's like That Girl who happens to fabulous, cool, smart, and plugged-in, but also supportive and always very professional.
Planning a wedding from 600 miles away is never ideal, but working with Sara Fields of Wedding Connections made it an absolute pleasure. I grew up in Asheville, and though now we live far away, we knew the location would be great for our wedding. Throughout the planning process, Sara listened to our ideas and made great suggestions. She steered us to just the right vendors, from the cake bakery to the photo booth to the DJ and the hair stylist! Her knowledge and professional demeanor made it possible for us to enjoy our wedding in ways that we couldn't have without her help. Working with Sara of Wedding Connections was only a pleasure. As the wedding's maid of honor, I had many opportunities to work directly with Sara during and leading up to the wedding. We had two weddings in two years and Sara planned them both. She is simply amazing—a wonderful person and fabulous wedding planner. My husband and I hired Sara Fields to be our wedding planner; we didn't expect her to take on the role of counselor and friend. This woman is absolutely the definition of competent. She is thorough, responsive, punctual, communicative, and precise. And in a role most of us would find stressful, she brings an air of calm kindness, light heartedness, and flexibility to the process that left us feeling happy and stress free after each meeting, and most importantly, on our wedding day. For every detail of our wedding, we felt total trust that Sara would bring our vision to life, and she did. She is charming and intelligent, and so was able to nimbly smooth over tricky personalities on both sides of our family while effortlessly managing and collaborating with all of our vendors. She was assertive and persistent when needed (hippie bus service that didn't respond to any calls or emails), and deferential when called for (prickly minister who felt territorial about the leader role). All-in-all, she made our wedding feel perfectly magical and allowed us the space to fully savor the day without getting pulled away to manage the logistics of the event. Hiring her is absolutely the smartest decision we made about our wedding aside from the best decision we made, which was to marry each other.
We hired Wedding Connections to help with day-of coordination for our wedding. In the time we worked together, Sara was so quick to respond to my emails and questions with clear, helpful information, resources, and advice when needed. We did quite a few things ourselves (self DJ'd, a friend baked a cake, made and assembled all the decor ourselves, borrowed tables from friends) and Sara didn't blink an eye at our DIY plan, it was clear that she was committed to making our vision happen, whatever that looked like. In the week and days leading up the wedding, going over all the details with her left me feeling calm, prepared and ready to let everything go and just focus on getting married!
We were planning the wedding from out of town and Sara was really flexible with meeting times to make it work for our travel schedule. It ended up raining nearly our entire wedding weekend , which put a few kinks in our plan for a backyard reception at my fiance's parents house. The wedding connections team came early to set up and was even out in the rain and mud helping to make and keep things as dry as possible. They were completely essential in getting everything set up and ready in time and we would not have had the wedding we had without them!
I would recommend hiring Sara in a heartbeat - super professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and such an ally in a stressful and unfamiliar process - not to mention just a lovely person in general :)
At first we thought we could have the wedding of our dreams without a planner, but as time went on we realized how important it was to have someone to help us throughout the wedding weekend to ensure everything was perfect! Hiring Sara as our wedding coordinator was the best decision we made! Her professionalism, enthusiasm and dedication to our wedding vision made it possible for everyone to sit back and enjoy the experience rather than worrying about vendors arriving, décor being setup etc. We had a very specific vision for our wedding day and Sara took the time to understand every detail and made sure things went as planned. As the bride, I was nervous and excited to be getting married but knowing that everything about the ceremony and reception were being taken care of kept me from being stressed. I have planned many large and elaborate corporate events in the past and thought "how hard could it be?" to help plan my step daughters destination wedding. We had 13 months to plan the wedding and within the first 2 months we booked the reception band, ceremony musicians, the videographer and the photographer. Living in Florida, it became quite clear that I needed help finding quality vendors in Asheville for the flowers, linens, bakery, transportation etc. In viewing Sara's beautiful website I discovered that our photographer also had a relationship with Sara and that was it for me. Sara was the one who I knew could make it all happen. In my ignorance, I did not hire her as the wedding planner but over the course of the next 10+ months, I kicked myself for not having done so. Don't make that same mistake - hire her to plan your wedding or event! She and her team worked tirelessly with me - more hours than I deserved, and there was no question too dumb to answer and no problem that she could not solve. Her diplomacy is unfailing, her patience never ending and she is an absolute delight to work with. She has the patience of a saint, responded ever so quickly to any email or phone call I placed and her answers were always spot on. She is an exceptional listener and talked me off the ledge more times than I could count and without a hint of frustration. Sara's connections in Asheville and the surrounding region are with only the most talented and quality organizations, all of whom I consider to be masters of their game - just like Sara. She is an exceptional individual - so talented, trustworthy, responsible and genuinely committed to ensuring your wedding is THE most special day of your life. I really loved working with Sara and now that the wedding is over (and yes, it was spectacular thanks to Sara!) I am missing our communications. Sara is truly the best of the best!!!

As soon as we got engaged we started planning our destination wedding in Asheville, NC and my husband and I also decided to involve a wedding planner. Once we found the Wedding Connections website and read the "about" section I knew that we had found the right wedding planner. I was so convinced that Sara was the right person to help us, that we actually planned OUR wedding day around HER schedule, and to this day, I do not regret the choice. I half-jokingly started called her "Sara Wedding Fairy", but through this year of wedding planning she became nothing short of that.When she describes her service as "full service", she means it. Sara and Holly really took the time to get to know us and understand the kind of vintage and classic wedding day we dreamed off.
From creating schedules for cake tastings,caterer meetings, music and even to creating budget spreadsheets and much more Sara and Holly were right there with us and led us through the weeks/months of planning. They so helpfully suggested the most amazing local vendors that ended up making our wedding week so special. Nothing is impossible with the amount of connections Sara and Holly have and thanks to the unbelievable amount of people they know, we got a gorgeous and memorable wedding filled with details and love.
Whatever idea I would come up with, or whenever during the week I had that idea, Sara was always ready to help out, with suggestions or full-on encouragement of whimsical ideas. Honestly, we had a blast planning our wedding and made an amazing friend while doing it. And once the day finally arrived, neither my now-husband, or I had anything to worry about. Holly, Sara and Leah managed every single team on site with grace, took care of every little detail and made our day easy, worry-free and so stunningly beautiful. We will never forget the role that Sara and her team played, to make the first day of the rest of our lives the most magical we could have imagined.
Without question, the best decision we made with respect to planning and executing our dream wedding was working with Sara. She is a hard working, diligent, forward thinking professional who will go above and beyond to ensure her client's visions become reality. Her genuine personality makes her easy to talk to and her superb communication and organizational skills put my mind at ease throughout the process. We cannot thank her enough!
