Weddings by Border Grill Las Vegas

Food was absolutely amazing. I wish i would of gone with a meal plan verses unlimited appetizers, reason being I don't think the appetizer's were being handed out fast enough.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Border Grill and it was a such horrible experience! During the planning process there was a lot of turnover with staff on their behalf (3 sales and events managers left the position). It was annoying because each time someone else got the position we had to start the planning process from square one. In the end we worked everything out with Destiny Hampton and even met with her two days prior to our event to go over final details. But, upon entering the venue on the day of our event the space was set up incorrectly. They had no sweetheart table set up for my husband and I, there wasn't enough seating for our guests and our guest were crammed in tight quarters. When my husband and I told the wait staff that the venue was set up wrong their response was "no one told them how to set it up." In addition, my husband and I had a tasting prior to our wedding and we loved the food, which is why we selected Border Grill as our venue. However, at our wedding reception the food didn't live up to what we expected and had tasted prior. The empanadas were soggy & dipping sauce was left out, the grilled skirt steak was flavorless and the yukaton pork that was served was missing elements to the dish (no guacamole and plantains). Even the cake that we ordered through them was the wrong flavor! Furthermore, the wait-staff were extremely inattentive to a point where our guests were starving and had no drinks (not even sodas or iced tea). Myself and my husband had to constantly go look for them to request that they take our guests food orders, bring drinks for our guests, etc. As if things weren't great already, an object fell from the ceiling and hit one of our guests. A Border Grill staff member was there when the incident happened but completely disregarded it happening until that guest spoke up. Overall, our experience at Border Grill was awful and we WOULDN'T recommend this place to anyone! What was supposed to be a wonderful day/event for my husband, our families and myself turned out to be something that we all simply wanted to be done with and forget. Destiny and the Border Grill staff ruined our wedding day and tarnished what was supposed to be a joyous memory.

We just had our reception at Border Grille on 12/12 and everything was so amazing! Nikki, the wedding planner, was more than helpful with the various requests and questions that we had. When my husband (so amazing to say that!) and I arrived, we were greeted by our equally amazing banquet server, Tiffany. She made sure the drinks never stopped flowing, and the food came out at the perfect time. All of our guests raved about how amazing the food was, saying it was some of the best they've had at a wedding, and we have to agree! We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and would pick Border Grille all over again if we had to. Thanks to the amazing staff that made our day so special!

We had our wedding reception for 50 ppl at the Border Grill on 7/18 and it was perfect! I worked with Christina and Destiny prior to the event and they are wonderful. So helpful throughout the process, which was made very easy by them. All of the recommendations they made were perfect. The food was amazing- we had action stations and everyone was saying how full they were while on their way to get more, it was that good. Drinks were just as delicious. Our servers were Autumn and Jamie who are both phenomenal- I cannot say enough good things about them. Truly, they were the best and made the evening completely flawless. We had the South Side dining room and patio- very fun atmosphere while at the same time being very pretty in the evening. All of this and the cost was extremely reasonable. We booked this site unseen and food un-tasted and if we had it to do over again we would not change a thing- everything was just perfect!

I cannot speak highly enough of Border Grill. They were my best decision in the whole planning experience. I also think they are one of the best kept secrets in for a wedding reception in Vegas. Destiny and her team really know what they are doing. This team is the whole package… they set up, caterer to your every need and clean up at the end of the night. My friends and family cannot stop talking about the food and how much they are wanting to go back just to have the steak, chicken enchiladas and the bacons wrapped dates! The food was phenomenal and they drinks were on point. Their wait staff made sure no one ever had an empty drink. Their patio was there perfect location for our wedding ceremony and later transformed into our dance floor. The lighted trees on the patio are the perfect touch to the whole ambiance this venue has to offer. This restaurant is located in the convention center part of Border Grill, so at night you really have the whole place to yourself! Don't be a sucker for the wedding packages at the hotels, go to Border Grill!!!!!

The food was amazing at Border Grill, however some of our guests did not get the drinks they requested from the servers. Definitely know what is all included in your package, etc. We had paid for FULL open bar.

The food was amazing, drinks were fantastic, they let me bring in my own centerpieces, decor and music! They have SO many menu options/price options for events, it's very easy to stay within budget here while planing with them. The event coordinator Destiny and her assistant Autumn are so helpful and easy to work with, they made my life so easy! We are so glad we made the decision to have our reception here, it was so perfect we even went back for brunch on Sunday morning!

Fantastic!!!!!!!!the food was great, the guest loved the plantain empanadas. Great menu, the drinks were strong, and they allowed us to play our own music. Wonderful staff.

We had our wedding reception at the Border Grill at the Mandalay Bay and it was a blast- great food, great drinks, great service all around good time for everyone. We wanted something hip and new and fun and the Border grill definitely provided that. They also provide a coordinator at no charge to help you plan everything from the menu to decorations to music and anything else you want. We worked with Destiny Hampton and she was amazing. Very attentive and helpful. She knows how to plan parties. All of our guests raved about the food and how much fun they had. I highly recommend this as a wedding reception location in Vegas.

Susan Hall was the absolute best person to work with. It was about 2 weeks before the wedding that we had made the decision to eat at Border Grill, and so many changes were made! Susan made us feel like we were the only large group that day, even though they had a party of 200! It rained that day and there was no problem on moving indoors. Great food, great service, great venue!!

Trendy atmosphere excellent food close location to ceremony;Room was very small. Music is restaurant was loud everywhere.

The staff was aboslutey amazing! Everything went so smoothly and we were taken care of as if we were spending hundreds of thousands of dollars! They were great! The outside patio was awesome for a small recpetion of about 75 or less .. plenty of room for a Dj dancing and a great time! Great food drinks and a wonderful staff made for a memorable time for me and my husband and family! I highly recommend this place if you are looking for something more on the casual side and a more fun/party environment and it had an awesome view of the beach at Mandalay. We didnt have to worry about breaking anything or being too loud!

the management was wonderful. Extremely helpful. The food was out of this world. Everyone at the reception kept talking about how good it was, and that they would come back to eat there.;I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it. I'm allergic to olive oil, and they went out of their way to make sure no oil was used that I would have a problem with. Mike, the chef, was extremely good with alternatives in seasoning and used lots of lime, cilantro, etc. to match would the taste would have been had he used olive oil.
