She really has such a good eye and was able to ask the right questions Not only this but Jan took the time to talk me through things and have time where she and I could discuss my feelings before showing my family to make sure she was on my side about expressing how I thought. I could not have asked for a better experience. We ended up finding the perfect dress.

maid of honor was amazing. The selection of dresses was fantastic, and I was able to try on so many beautiful options. I am completely in love with my wedding dress. It was exactly what I envisioned for my big day!!

d were told the rentals would arrive two weeks before our wedding. As the date approached, I repeatedly called for updates but received little to no communication. The contract clearly stated that the rentals would arrive two days prior to our event on October 3, 2025—yet when I called on October 1, I was told they would not be arriving until the following day. After further calls, my mother-in-law discovered that the shop had entered our wedding date incorrectly as October 4, not October 3. Because of this mistake, the suits didn’t arrive until the day before the wedding, forcing several members of our wedding party to take time off work to try them on. Seven out of the ten members were measured in-store by The Tux Shop staff, yet every single member of the party had at least one item that did not fit correctly. The staff’s “solution” was to overnight the correct items directly to our venue in New Virginia, Iowa, promising they would arrive first thing in the morning. Instead, the replacements did not show up until about 1:20 PM, just 40 minutes before our scheduled photos at 2 PM—and only a few hours before the ceremony itself. Throughout this ordeal, the staff were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, acting as though we were inconveniencing them for following up about our missing and ill-fitting suits. What should have been an exciting, joyful time turned into unnecessary stress because of The Tux Shop’s poor communication, data entry error, and complete lack of accountability. Despite all of these issues, we were not offered any form of compensation, apology, or acknowledgment for the inconvenience and added stress their mistakes caused. I would not recommend this business to anyone planning a wedding. The level of disorganization and unprofessionalism we experienced is simply unacceptable—especially for such an important event.

I gave 3 stars because I had a horrible experience picking up my dress, where they just left me in the room with the dress, no help, no reassurance that I looked good, and then wanted additional payment to put it in an actual wedding dress bag. They were taking phone calls the whole time. They didn't have me sign anything and just basically let me walk out without further support. Maybe I shouldn't have expected to have a similar experience to when I was looking to purchase my dress but it was really off-putting. I also found the same dress (brand/style) I purchased, online for $1.5k less than what I paid in-store so I don't think I'd recommend this wedding salon for purchasing the actual dress as it seems the markup was a little high, especially given the overall experience from trying-buying-picking up.

she helped pick dresses that fit that idea, as well as some to give different styles a try. Jan was never pushy, even when encouraging me to try on different styles than I thought I would like. She made the experience so fun and I felt no pressure and at ease the whole time. She reminded me that if I didn’t like something, I could just take it off. Jan encouraged me to try on a dress that was beautiful and that’s the one I ended up choosing! I would recommend Weddings By Design to anyone who is looking for a fun, no pressure, and amazing experience when finding their dream dress!

’t like about the dresses I tried on. She quickly figured out my style and interests and was able to supply other dresses for me to try on. While I didn’t find *the* dress for me, I was very impressed with my appointment and would definitely recommend this store for all brides-to-be!

find my dream wedding dress by keeping in mind the style I wanted, and she was wonderful about fluffing the train, hanging the dresses, and encouraging me with the different dress styles. She was amazing and helped me find my dream wedding dress!! 20/10 recommend!!

me to find the right dress, and she was helpful when it came to comparing the dresses I liked and with determining what aspects of a dress I liked. I got to go through all the dresses and pick ones out I wanted to try on, and Karissa helped by finding dresses with specific elements I wanted. She also helped me keep my budget in mind and would note to me if a dress was out of my budget before I tried it on. She wasn't pushy at all but was very supportive along the way. As for the shop as a whole, they have separate try on areas for each person, and the experience does feel very personalized. All the staff I interacted with were so sweet; it felt like they really wanted it to be a special experience for each person.

and decided to just have fun trying on every type of dress that caught my eye (within reason) and had such a blast! Ashley was so fun and made my family feel so included. Between her and the rest of the gals in the store they brought out one great dress after another and I walked away with the most breathtaking wedding dress and wedding look! Cannot say enough about how perfect it all was.

I had and it came about a month early. Both consultants I worked with were great. They have a variety of options in a variety of sizes which is nice as a plus-size bride there were a few stores where I felt like I only had 2 or 3 options or all the options were slightly different dresses with corsets.

alterations. Spent $1100 on alterations so I was not expecting for Jude to have my dress for 5 months and still not have it done two days before my wedding. When she showed me the dress, it had two metal loops VISIBLE. She had to sew two coverings on it right on the spot and had me sit there after the store was closed. My appointment at Weddings at Design was my first bridal appointment. Jan did an amazing job. She was so patient and kind and knew exactly what I was looking for after only a couple dresses.

ore I went to and was blown away by the customer service and selection. All of the staff are so sweet and willing to answer any questions I had and offer suggestions. Despite all my indecisiveness, they helped me find the wedding dress of my dreams! I was also able to find my veil there and they were able to order a new one for me with no issues! It was so nice that I was able to store my dress and veil there until the day before the wedding, as well as have it professionally steamed. I cannot recommend Weddings by Design enough!!

I loved how they had plenty of space in there rooms and they put you in the dress themselves instead of you trying to put a dress in this tiny room, then the attendant clipping you in like what I experienced at the 2nd bridal store I went to. Kelsey was wonderful she seemed to go above and beyond with answering every question my mom and I had. I didn't make it to the 3rd bridal shop I had schedule that day, I was able to call her after -a very different experience after the 2nd shop, Kelsey had my favorite dress pulled from the first time round when I got there, which was the one!!! The whole experience was happy and effortless, never felt like I was prom dress shopping like the other salon. Thanks so much! Unforgettable experience!! So appreciative ❤

find the right one for me. When I finally found the one (which was nothing like I had thought I wanted) the ordering process was easy! It came in a little earlier than expected. When the big day came I had them store and steam my dress. They made sure to call me ahead of time to confirm when I would be there and were so nice. Their kindness is something I truly loved about my experience with them! And I still can’t get over how beautiful my dress is!

he tuxes! We had issue after issue with them and when my 2 y/o son went in to try it on and he was overwhelmed and crying (as toddlers are) the lady helping us was less than ideal. She was very clearly annoyed with him and having to take his measurement.

I did end up going somewhere else for that just because they were more than what I could afford. If I ever had to buy another wedding dress I would definitely go back to Weddings by Design!

There will be dresses that haven’t yet made it to market and if you buy a trunk show dress, there is a discount! Also, go for the $75 storage, steaming deal that they have to keep your dress safe until wedding day.
