I originally came to this shop as a bridesmaid. My best friend was getting married and got her dress there. They gave her 10% off her dress since she had purchased it the first day she came in. They treated her wonderfully. The bridesmaids ...on the other hand were not treated well. We had to order our dresses twice because they weren't entered in correctly the first time..even though we were told the dresses would be steamed free of charge all 4 of us had very wrinkly dresses (I complained and they steamed mine, but everyone else had wrinkly dresses on the wedding day)..then I just had the overall feeling of frustration coming from the consultants. They have beautiful dresses and in the end everything turned out fine for me (and the bride), but it took a lot of work.
I am now the bride and was not going to purchase my dress from them after that experience, but they had a clearance sale so I thought, "Why not?" I actually ended up finding a dress I loved. I didn't get 10% off, but I'm guessing that was because it was already deeply discounted from the sale. Another thing that bothers me is the fact that they charge $75 to steam and store the dress. Every other bridal shop I had gone to actually vocalized that they do not do this. So basically I have to pay $75 to ensure I do not have a wrinkly dress.. which duh, of course I will pay and not because I want to but because I have to.
As the bride, I do feel more respected than I did, but I now fear something horrible will happen to my dress... like get lost in the sea of dresses in the back. Or a stain will magically appear on it and they'll tell me I'm responsible for the condition of the dress since I bought it on clearance. Probably just the normal "bride-gone-crazy" thoughts going through my head, but I find it more likely now than I might have had I not been a bridesmaid shortly before.
My bridesmaids are going to David's Bridal for their dresses, saving themselves the headache and about $100+ each.
As far as price goes, they are very reasonable. If you are looking for an absolutely fantastic looking dress but don't necessarily have the money for one, I would recommend going during their clearance sales, which are probably only once a year in mid autumn so they can make room for new stock.
