Weddings with Lorraine

Thank you to Lorraine for officiating our October wedding! Bryan and I appreciated all of Lorraine's help in preparing our ceremony script and her professionalism on the day of the wedding. Her prices are reasonable and she really offers a lovely turn-key service. I'd recommend Lorraine to any couple regardless of their faith.

We met Lorraine because our officiant had a family emergency and could no longer perform our wedding ceremony. We had a draft of our ceremony already, but went to meet with her at her home, where she was very warm and welcoming. She definitely has a more spiritual/scholarly take on faith, which was what my husband and I were looking for. She also brought in some very loving and sweet touches to our script, as well as a knot tying ceremony, which everyone at our wedding loved! Overall, she was a little eccentric to interact with one on one, but those "eccentric" tendencies translated to someone who was very warm and professional at our ceremony. As an officiant, she was really excellent!

Lorraine was amazing! My husband and I got married 4/21 in Chesapeake City MD. Lorraine was extremely organized and professional! She came to our pre-wedding meeting and listened to all our requests and suggested wonderful ideas like the wine box ceremony. She provided us with a beautiful customized script of what she would be saying at the wedding and was open to any changes or additions we wanted! Day of the wedding she was incredible and helped us create a beautiful and memorable ceremony! We would highly recommend Lorraine!

Lorraine was wonderful! She was willing to work with us within our budget and provide us with a customized script for our ceremony. She was very responsive to requests and to questions. She made our day very special.

I would rate her a 0 but it wouldn't let me. After 15 months of planning and interviewing dozens of vendors, asking about their backup plans, what-if scenarios etc, we thought we had the perfect team. On the wedding day, I got a phone call at 5:10 Lorraine was going to be late but she would be there at 5:40.(5:30 was our start time) 55 minutes later she showed up. Since the ceremony didn’t start until 55 minutes after it was supposed to, everything was pushed back an hour and cocktail hour was 15 minutes! We rushed through the ceremony, then we had to fit an hour of pictures into 15 minutes. Luckily, our photographer was top notch and she got the shots that we wanted. During this time, Lorraine wanted to leave as she had an appointment with another couple on the same grounds! She tried to leave without even saying goodbye, or apologizing to us. The venue and my mom told her she needed to stay and apologize to us. I am shocked she signed our marriage license. We ran past our venue time by 30 mins, which was an extra cost and all of our vendors needed to stay longer which WE also had to pay for. WE had to pay extra money to all the vendors because she was late. How is this fair? She told us she would get to the venue 30 mins prior, but to get to our venue, she would have had to leave by 4PM. To get there 55 minutes late - something doesn't add up. She told us that she’s from Bucks County so she’s very familiar with the area so I had no doubt that she would be there. I am here to recommend that this woman retire from presiding over weddings. I also hope she reads this. We felt so comfortable paying in full with her before the wedding, only to have it blow up in our face. I really thought she would have called or emailed after the wedding to apologize, refund some of the money or even offer to pay for the vendors staying later because SHE was late. We never heard from her since our ceremony. I am still very upset about this even as I’m writing this review. I hope another couple can avoid this same situation.

The wedding ceremony that Lorraine performed marrying my daughter and son-in-law was absolutely wonderful! The ceremony was custom made for them and it was perfect. Lorraine was very flexible and customized the ceremony including love letter and wine box ceremony for them. We will forever cherish the memories of this amazing day and wedding performed by Lorraine.
