Wendy photographed our wedding, a pre-wedding event, and engagement photos for us and we could not be happier with her work! Neither of us have any experience in front of the camera and she made us feel comfortable and confident and captured both beautiful posed and candid photos. She was also super fun--she gave our 4 year old nephew heart shaped sunglasses to get him to smile (he did!) and one of the groomsmen said the bridal party photos were the most fun ones he's ever been a part of (and he's been in many!). Wendy's communication leading up to and during the wedding was phenomenal and she made sure we got every shot we wanted and more. The cherry on top was how quickly she sent over preview photos and the final album. Our wedding day was one of the best days of our lives and Wendy's photos will help us relive the magic for years to come, we cannot recommend her enough!

My wife and I have been working with Wendy all year long - first for our engagement session and more recently for our wedding reception! I cannot recommend her enough. Wendy photographed our wedding in early May and she was wonderful! She was very communicative prior to the event and on the day of, she made us feel very comfortable throughout the day and made sure that we got all the shots that we wanted. She sent us a photo preview the day after the wedding and all our photos within one month after the event.

I am very particular when it comes to the kinds of photos I like, so I looked at a TON of different photographers when it came to booking my wedding photographer.  I am SO GLAD I found Wendy!  She was exactly what I was looking for in a photographer.  Not only were her photos gorgeous, but she as a person was just a delightful human being.  I could tell right away that we mattered to her and she really cared about capturing the perfect photos for our day.  Her love for her work is evident and her enthusiasm during our photos was contagious.  When we arrived at the forest preserve where I had chosen for photographs, we came upon hundreds of boy scouts and their families for a camping trip that weekend.  Literally all the places I had picked out for photos were taken by scouts and their tents!  But Wendy was unfazed and found a perfect little patch of trees for us to stand by and our photos looked magical!

Wendy was fantastic to work with! She did our engagement photoshoot as well as our wedding photography. Communication was prompt and easy and we got a reasonable quote right away. Her photography style perfectly captured all the details and vivid colors present, especially during sunset, on our wedding day. Wendy got to know us well and I think that helped immensely in creating shots that would help tell our "story" - everyone agrees the engagement and wedding photos are very "us" and our personalities shine through. We couldn't be happier and would highly recommend her!

We couldn’t have asked for anyone better! Wendy did an amazing job. We had a smaller wedding, about 35 guests, with a backyard ceremony & dinner at a local venue. We had the weather on our side that day for a late October wedding & she was able to capture such beautiful pictures of all our special memories. Highly recommended is an understatement!

Wendy recently took our engagement photos and they turned out amazing! The photos captured the vivid fall day and brought it to life. We were a little nervous going into the shoot but she helped us feel comfortable and suggested some poses that felt natural and looked great in the pictures. Wendy was great to work with! From the start she was so nice yet professional and responded quickly to all my questions. We added on an engagement session for a very reasonable price and she even had suggestions of locations for this because I had no idea where to start since it was December. Me and my husband never really had professional photos done, but Wendy helped us through it all and it made us more comfortable for the wedding day! Our photos turned out beautiful and did not take long to get after the wedding. I liked Wendy’s style when I was looking for a photographer because others were either too dark or light for my liking. Would absolutely recommend her!

Wendy was such an amazing photographer for our engagement photos! Right from the start, Wendy communicated consistently and professionally with quotes and details for booking. Her engagement sessions are super super affordable and she is so flexible!!! She basically said whatever we want to do as a couple, she would make it happen! She even gave some advice on location and outfits to wear!!! When we met Wendy for our session, she was on time and handled the permit needed for the location! She also was super flexible when I asked to reschedule last minute due to a heat wave. At our session, Wendy helped us loosen up as we are pretty stiff in front of people and she had a list of poses to incorporate! Did I mention we got access to all photos within a week and a half of our session?!! Amazing client service and our pictures turned out amazing and even though we were in one location, the photos had a huge range of variety! Will definitely recommend Wendy to those who are kind of lost out there in a sea of overpriced photographers. Hire Wendy now! She's amazing!!

There are so many great things to say about our experience with Wendy! She is professional, caring, and a great communicator! We did our engagement and wedding photos with Wendy and where extremely happy with the final results. She was fantastic at giving directions and made us feel comfortable being photographed. I teach High School Photography and was picky when looking for a wedding photographer. I wanted someone who was artistic, adventurous, and had the fairytale wedding style photography I envisioned. Her photography work really stood out to me and the fact that she was also an amazing person to work with was a huge bonus! We hired Wendy to take our engagement pictures. She is absolutely amazing to work with!!! She was SO professional, prompt and SO patient throughout the whole shoot and when I was coordinating with her through text. Wendy is amazing in every sense of the word! My husband and I are not the most enthusiastic when it comes to having our picture taken and Wendy instantly made us feel comfortable. We did our engagement pictures with her first and she put us at ease right away with her calm demeanor and gentle redirection to get those perfect shots. On our wedding day it was like reconnecting with an old friend. She again made us feel so comfortable amongst the craziness that a wedding brings. When we were doing sunset pictures she encouraged my husband and I to just take a few minutes alone to be together and just soak it all in…those moments we had we will treasure and we were able to just enjoy what the day was all about. We got a preview of the pictures and I called my husband and asked him if we were now models…Wendy takes insanely high quality pictures and has such an eye for the perfect shot. I highly recommend her!!!

Our wedding was one of several weddings that was affected by COVID. After deciding that we were going to have a celebration – panic ensued because I did not have a photographer. I started my last-minute wedding photographer search late April 2021 and the wedding date was June 26th, 2021. (Yes, that is really cutting it close – like too close for comfort!) I never thought I would find a photographer, but I came across Wendy’s website during my frantic search. I sent her an email inquiring about our last-minute date, and she replied within 24 hours! She answered my several questions without frustration or hesitation always so quickly and professionally. From the moment she arrived (she was promptly on time and ready to take pictures right away) at the wedding location until the last dance – she truly was there for everything. I was concerned that since everything was last minute, and we had not met in person before the wedding day – things would be chaotic, stressful, and a little bit awkward. Thankfully, I was so wrong and didn’t have anything to worry about at all! It is like Wendy had met us already and was so prepared for everything. She was quick to think of creative and authentic poses, was willing to accommodate on the spot requests, and never missed a beat. She is so personable and truly captured heartfelt and genuine photos. There were some mistakes on my wedding planning side of things, but that didn’t faze her one bit. Honestly, words cannot describe how blessed and thankful we were to have her capture our wedding celebration. We have even received a generous amount of sneak peek pictures from the wedding, and we are in such awe of what she was able to capture and the talent behind the lens. Words cannot do justice for the pictures she took! We look forward to working with her sometime in the future! Seriously - thank you so much!

Not only is Wendy a wonderful person and a joy to spend the day with, we also could not possibly be happier with how our photos turned out! We did both our engagement photos and wedding day photos with her, and I’m thrilled with the many many many beautiful shots she captured. Wendy is beyond amazing, if I could give more stars, I would. I am typically a black and white photo person, but her photos made me fall in love with colored images. She was very easy to work with and she was timely on everything. We even got photos before she said that we would get them.

We had a great experience with Wendy! We rescheduled our "big wedding" to 2021 due to COVID, and planned a micro wedding in just a few weeks time. Wendy was very accommodating and easy to work with, plus sent us our photos very quickly after our wedding! We would highly recommend.

In case you don’t want to read this whole review I’ll put it simply: Wendy is outstanding, professional, accommodating, and talented. You should book her. Now. We hired Wendy for our 08/01/20 August wedding in January of this year. We had had a complication with our other photographer and were left to find a new one on short (for wedding planning) notice. I stumbled across Wendy and sent her an email. She immediately replied and we were able to secure a date to meet, talk logistics, and sign a contract. We first had our engagement pictures taken by Wendy and she did an excellent job. Not only did she capture us beautifully, but she created a space that felt comfortable. She helped guide us for where she wanted us, but never overly posed us. She allowed our pictures to show us naturally and it was lovely. Wendy was an exceptional photographer to have during a pandemic. She responded to every email promptly, understood and accommodated all the changes to our day. Through all the changes and difficulties of being a “Covid Bride” Wendy was never anything but supportive and amazing. My husband and I are so beyond grateful to have had her as our photographer. Our whole family sang her praises after our small wedding. One of my favorite parts of the day was when we were taking some bridal party pictures and we were looking around for Wendy and she was coming out of this large tree that had these leaves and branches hanging down. She was adamant that we had to go into that tree to take picture because it was going to look amazing. So my husband and I went in to take some very sweet and lovely photos. Wendy headed out before us and told us to hang out in there for a few minutes, she would go take some photos of just the party. Wendy gave us a few minutes to just be husband and wife alone for the first time. It was exactly what we needed and just so thoughtful. Wendy is not only in the photo business, but she is in the people business. She knows how to make sure you are comfortable and is always going above and beyond to make your day great. She is just excellent. We decided to have a very small ceremony this year and a larger gathering to celebrate next year. Wendy will be the photographer at our celebration next year as well, and to say I am beyond looking forward to having her capture another one of our days is an understatement.

Wendy was an easy choice for us. We had friends who recommended Wendy. When we met with her, I could just tell she was our person. Our photos turned out better than we could have asked for plus her prices are reasonable. She is great at catching action shots and makes you feel comfortable. She gives you guidance but not too much where you feel overly staged. Our photos look natural and were so much fun. She even stayed until midnight as we were a NYE wedding which is more than we could have asked for. I also loved that when I asked for advice or thoughts on photo ideas, she was always straight forward with me about what would and wouldn't work which I appreciated. We still receive compliments on our wedding and engagement photos and how great they turned out - which couldn't have happened without Wendy!

Finding a photographer was the most difficult vendor to find for my Husband and I-trying to find somebody within our budget without what looked like un-edited, unprofessional pictures seemed impossible! My cousin ended up telling us about Wendy and she was AMAZING. She absolutely exceeded all of our expectations. 1) She is so easy to communicate with and very friendly in person. She is punctual and prepared as well. 2) She was willing to work with our budget 3) She was so fun to work with on the day and I had fun taking pictures outside despite the cold November day! 4) I have seen many photographers be very in-the-way wedding day, always in you face. I hardly noticed Wendy and was able to enjoy my day without feeling like I was being photographed the entire time-which I loved. 5) MOST IMPORTANTLY, the pictures turned out fantastic. It's obvious Wendy has experience and knew how to pose everybody and work with the entire group to get the best pictures possible. We have received so many complements and could not be happier with the outcome. Gush over. Hire Wendy!

Wendy did an amazing job as our photographer for our wedding. We weren't very organized so we made her job more difficult but she never got upset and was very fun to work with. She was very confident in everything that she did and you can tell how passionate she is about being a photographer. As she takes pictures throughout the event you can hear it her voice on how excited she gets about certain shots. That excitement rubs off to everyone else and makes for a great time! We got our first looks 2 days after our wedding and couldn't be happier with results.

We were lucky to have Wendy in town last year to do our family Christmas pictures and we were so happy the timing worked out. She was fun and flexible given challenging circumstances (one sick kid and COLD weather for an outdoor shoot). The pictures turned out great and we loved them. We would recommend Wendy to anyone!

I had the pleasure of hiring Wendy as our wedding photographer back in 2017. Since then, I have attended/stood up in 3 weddings in which Wendy was the photographer. I was so excited to work with her again! She is great at keeping the bridal party energized and having fun throughout pictures ...if you’ve ever been in a wedding you know how grueling this can sometimes be. Not with Wendy! I have seen the photos from each of these weddings, and they are all so beautiful. They capture each couple perfectly and are unique to their style. My husband and I met Wendy through my younger sister and her wife, she was their photographer. My husband and I loved the photos so much that we wanted her to capture our special day as well. Wendy has gone above and WAY beyond my expectations so far with the photos she took at our wedding. I came to her knowing a general idea of what we wanted as far as pictures go, but she used her talented abilities to create photos that almost seem unreal, like a fairy tale wedding. I've always had my insecurities about the way I photograph at times, and Wendy was always so sweet and supportive and assured me that she would keep in mind my worries to make sure I loved the photos of myself. I was never really a fan of the way my side profile photographed, but Wendy was able to capture amazing moments from my wedding and now my favorite photos happen to be a profile view. My husband and I went into our engagement photos with Wendy having absolutely no idea what to do, and Wendy used her magic to also create amazing engagement photos. On the day of our wedding, she guided us through the wedding party photos with so much energy and fun, and all of our bridesmaids and groomsmen loved to work with her. The fact that she captured the emotion of the night so perfectly was exactly what I wanted. I will and would recommend Wendy to anyone that I know is getting married because you will NOT regret it.

Wendy is AMAZING!
