This was my first stop for a mother’s dress. I did not know I was greeted by the manager, Sarah, until now. She was in the middle of something but greeted me pleasantly and took me to an area where I could browse. She assured me a stylist would be with me shortly. Cristina came over and Sarah introduced her. She was amazing, knew the inventory and asked the right questions. Helped me try on various styles with different fabrics. Offered objective opinions. I became emotional thinking about the enormity of my daughter getting married. She understood and was not intrusive or pushy. I will return. Excellent experience and highly recommend. Customer service is a priority.

For 50 years, we've helped brides of all shapes and sizes find the right style to flatter their figure—and rock their gorgeous look. We make it easy for you! Many bridal shops simply do not carry a good plus size selection, or they say they can order a dress in your size, but you can't try it on first. We feel that this practice unfairly limits your options and makes the dress-shopping experience much more stressful than it needs to be. At Wendy's Bridal Columbus, we have built up one of the largest selections of designer wedding dresses in Ohio, with more than 100 styles in sizes ranging from 18 to 34. With the help of one of our knowledgeable stylists, we will do our very best to find the perfect bridal gown for you! Being here at Wendy’s for the past several years has been a great experience. Seeing my brides beam when they find “the dress” makes me so happy and fulfilled. When I’m not working at Wendy’s, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband of 11 years whether we’re playing games, seeing a movie, or enjoying a beautiful afternoon at the zoo.

I began my career in bridal in 1989 on the encouragement of my mother. I knew quickly that this was something that I was going to do for a long time. Many trends and styles have changed over the years, but this one thing has not. I still feel honored and privileged everyday to be able to help brides as they plan one of the most important days of their lives. I am the mother of three beautiful grown daughters. In my personal time I love to garden with my husband, travel, enjoy nature, and be adventurous with cooking. I am a foodie and a wine enthusiast.

My passion for bridal started in 1989 when my extraordinarily talented mother became head of alterations here at Wendy's. She mentored me for three years as I tailored and learned textiles and fit for bridal. By the early 1990's I was working 1 on 1 with brides and styling them; I loved it. The privilege of helping a bride find the perfect gown for her big day is something I never lose sight of, and seeing her glow when she find the right dress never gets old. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 38 years. We have two terrific grown sons and two amazing daughter-in-laws. When I'm not working with brides my favorite things to do are playing with my four fun-loving grandchildren, spending time in nature with walks and dipping my toes in the sand. I thrive on my faith, music, good food, coffee and of course wine.

I am the wife and mother of three amazing kids that are now adults. I also have two wonderful fur babies that make me laugh every day. I have always been in sales since I was in high school and I love talking up the perfect product to anyone who will listen, (even total strangers at the grocery store). When I decided to enter the bridal industry I didn’t realize what an impact it would have on my life as well as the brides and their guests. There is nothing more satisfying to me than seeing the look on my brides face when they find their dream dress. Knowing that they will walk towards the love of their life in a dress that I helped them find is an amazing feeling. The tears, hugs, smiles and joy knowing that I had a little hand in this is pretty remarkable!

s. I worked with Kathleen and she was amazing! She was very attentive to my thoughts and patiently helped me choose dresses to try. She actually was the one who picked out and had me try on the dress we bought, while I had walked right by it earlier! I am so thankful she was there to help with the process. Everything about the day was great: the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms, the variety of dresses to try, and the prices were reasonable. While I did not buy the dress immediately, as I had another appointment somewhere else that day, they were super flexible and told me to come back if I am still thinking about it later. We did exactly that. I would recommend this place to anyone and am excited to get my dress and work with their alterations team as my date gets closer!

cation on the same day I was seeing another area. When I arrived for my appointment, my family and I were greeted and seated by someone other than my designated stylist. The woman asked if I’d tried on dresses previously. I let her know I’d had an appointment earlier in the day. In that moment everything changed, the woman who greeted us instantly became cool and distant. My stylist, who was a member of management, was just as icy and dismissive as the woman who greeted us. She gave an extremely brief overview of their dresses and provided me with clips to designate the styles I wished to try. Perhaps the Wendy’s team takes a more hands off approach, but there was no discussion of what styles I would be interested in seeing, price points, which dresses has special information, etc. When it came time to try on the dresses, the Wendy’s stylists just hand you the dress and you’re on your own until they zip, lace, clip it. This can be a big challenge given the volume of some dresses. My stylist said “I’m sure you know what you’re doing,” in reference to my having already had an appointment that day. There was a dress I wanted to try, but the sample was about two sizes smaller than I would have needed. The stylist said she didn’t think it would work but I could attempt to try it on. No offer to help or suggestions. While this was a fitted dress, based on my experience earlier in the day and watching other people shop for dresses, most stylists will go out of their way to help you get into the dress or at least get an idea of what it would look like. I was simply told that she didn’t think I’d end up liking the style anyway. Overall, what should have been a fun and exciting experience was dampened by staff’s behavior.

Lila allowed me privacy to try on each dress, and only came into the fitting room to secure each gown. After showing Lila my Pinterest board, she led me to a selection of gowns that matched my vision (and her first recommendation actually ended up being the dress I chose)! She even helped narrow down my choice of veil, after letting me try on at least 5 different lengths and styles. I was one of those annoying brides who was EXTREMELY picky about what I wanted in a dress--for a long time I was convinced I did not want a white dress, did not want anything too ...

"big" or "poofy," did not want too much "doily-looking" lace, etc. Not only that, but I wanted it all for an extremely affordable price (under $1k was my goal). I tried numerous vendors around the Columbus area, all of whom were lovely but either out of my modest price range or who did not have the dresses I want. Wendy's Bridal was my last choice before I was going to custom order online. And then I found my dream dress--$700 on clearance in exactly my size, a blend of both a white and mocha color. It was magical. In addition, we worked with one of their in-house seamstresses who, despite having a PERSONAL EMERGENCY the entire time she worked on my dress, never missed a deadline. I also asked for numerous complicated alterations (removing straps, creating off-the-shoulder straps, creating a back, adding boning, etc.) and everything was executed beautifully. The women who work there are so kind and patient and really make you feel like you are not too "picky" etc. I cannot recommend Wendy's Bridal enough!

At first, I was so happy with this business. I was able to find my dress during my first meeting and the dress was gorgeous! During alterations, it was not made clear to me how my ...

dress would be tailored, and there was a large miscommunication about how the dress would look when finished. When I picked up my dress, I was upset with how the bottom hem looked (blocky 2-3in hem - not what I wanted). I thought the seamstress knew what I was talking about when I asked about the hem at my 2nd fitting, and she did not. After I arrived home and my mom saw me crying, we returned to the store to try to get a resolution. One of the women was rude when we arrived and asked if either of us sewed and told us there was nothing to be done without explaining very well why. I realized while we were there that there was no way to resolve the hem issue, as the seamstress removed fabric from above the original hem and then sewed the hem back to the dress. On the way out, someone asked us to tag them in wedding pictures. This business offered nothing after the miscommunication on their end but wanted publicity. It left a bad taste to the whole experience. The dress was still gorgeous, and I got so many compliments, but this should have never happened. On top of the miscommunication with the hem, once I was in my dress on my wedding day, I realized that it was hemmed slightly too long, something that was not an issue at my second fitting.
