My experience at Wendy’s Bridal Columbus was by far the best bridal shopping experience I could have asked for!
My stylist took the time to genuinely get to know me, understand my vision, and listen to what I dreamed my wedding dress would feel like. She made the whole experience feel so personal, and ultimately, she helped me find the dress!
As a mid-size bride, I also can’t say enough about how amazing it was to have such an inclusive selection of dresses to try. Being able to actually see myself in the floor samples—and feeling so beautiful in them—made such a difference. I never felt limited by sizing or like I had to “imagine” what a dress would look like on me.
I felt so comfortable, confident, and celebrated throughout the entire appointment. I’m so grateful to my stylist and the whole Wendy’s Bridal team for making such a special experience even more special.

Wendy's Bridal Columbus is a Dublin, OH-based dress company specializing in wedding couture. We believe that everybody is beautiful! For 50 years, we've helped brides of all shapes and sizes find the right style to flatter their figure—and rock their gorgeous look. We make it easy for you! Many bridal shops simply do not carry a good plus size selection, or they say they can order a dress in your size, but you can't try it on first. We feel that this practice unfairly limits your options and makes the dress-shopping experience much more stressful than it needs to be.
At Wendy's Bridal Columbus, we have built up one of the largest selections of designer wedding dresses in Ohio, with more than 100 styles in sizes ranging from 18 to 34. With the help of one of our knowledgeable stylists, we will do our very best to find the perfect bridal gown for you!

In my personal time I love to garden with my husband, travel, enjoy nature, and be adventurous with cooking. I am a foodie and a wine enthusiast.

She mentored me for three years as I tailored and learned textiles and fit for bridal. By the early 1990's I was working 1 on 1 with brides and styling them; I loved it. The privilege of helping a bride find the perfect gown for her big day is something I never lose sight of, and seeing her glow when she find the right dress never gets old. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 38 years. We have two terrific grown sons and two amazing daughter-in-laws. When I'm not working with brides my favorite things to do are playing with my four fun-loving grandchildren, spending time in nature with walks and dipping my toes in the sand. I thrive on my faith, music, good food, coffee and of course wine.

I worked with Kathleen and she was amazing! She was very attentive to my thoughts and patiently helped me choose dresses to try. She actually was the one who picked out and had me try on the dress we bought, while I had walked right by it earlier! I am so thankful she was there to help with the process.
Everything about the day was great: the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms, the variety of dresses to try, and the prices were reasonable. While I did not buy the dress immediately, as I had another appointment somewhere else that day, they were super flexible and told me to come back if I am still thinking about it later. We did exactly that.
I would recommend this place to anyone and am excited to get my dress and work with their alterations team as my date gets closer!

I had an amazing time wedding dress shopping! They directed me to browse specific aisles after sharing my initial design choices, then Sarah had hand-picked a few after my try-one....
I wasn’t rushed, I went during the week. Sarah actually helped my stepmom pick a dress completely out of my vision board and it ended up being MY dress. I got compliments and design feedback from the owner and other designers. I felt very welcomed and extremely comfortable. I’m so glad I tried this shop!

They ensured we were on track for the dress to be ready by wedding day and I had multiple appointments to ensure everything fit correctly. I also had my dress and veil (purchased elsewhere) pressed at Wendy’s a few days before the wedding. Everything came together beautifully and I had a great experience with the shop, I’d highly recommend it!

Lila allowed me privacy to try on each dress, and only came into the fitting room to secure each gown. After showing Lila my Pinterest board, she led me to a selection of gowns that matched my vision (and her first recommendation actually ended up being the dress I chose)! She even helped narrow down my choice of veil, after letting me try on at least 5 different lengths and styles. Lila sent me follow-up emails after our visit with pictures of my favorite gown, and thanked me for coming in and trusting Wendy’s Bridal with the journey.

d me narrow down what I was really looking for with a couple options that she chose. She took my all of my input from the variety of dresses that I tried on and pulled the most gorgeous dress for me. She was patient and thoughtful and brought a great energy. Wendy's bridal has a great selection of dresses and she stayed well within my budget. I never felt pressured to make a decision or like there was a sales pitch, they truly wanted me to be happy and find my perfect dress. My experience at Wendy's bridal was everything I could have ever dreamed and I cannot recommend them enough.

I was one of those annoying brides who was EXTREMELY picky about what I wanted in a dress--for a long time I was convinced I did not want a white dress, did not want anything too ...
"big" or "poofy," did not want too much "doily-looking" lace, etc. Not only that, but I wanted it all for an extremely affordable price (under $1k was my goal). I tried numerous vendors around the Columbus area, all of whom were lovely but either out of my modest price range or who did not have the dresses I want. Wendy's Bridal was my last choice before I was going to custom order online. And then I found my dream dress--$700 on clearance in exactly my size, a blend of both a white and mocha color. It was magical. In addition, we worked with one of their in-house seamstresses who, despite having a PERSONAL EMERGENCY the entire time she worked on my dress, never missed a deadline. I also asked for numerous complicated alterations (removing straps, creating off-the-shoulder straps, creating a back, adding boning, etc.) and everything was executed beautifully. The women who work there are so kind and patient and really make you feel like you are not too "picky" etc. I cannot recommend Wendy's Bridal enough!

dress would be tailored, and there was a large miscommunication about how the dress would look when finished. When I picked up my dress, I was upset with how the bottom hem looked (blocky 2-3in hem - not what I wanted). I thought the seamstress knew what I was talking about when I asked about the hem at my 2nd fitting, and she did not. After I arrived home and my mom saw me crying, we returned to the store to try to get a resolution. One of the women was rude when we arrived and asked if either of us sewed and told us there was nothing to be done without explaining very well why. I realized while we were there that there was no way to resolve the hem issue, as the seamstress removed fabric from above the original hem and then sewed the hem back to the dress. On the way out, someone asked us to tag them in wedding pictures. This business offered nothing after the miscommunication on their end but wanted publicity. It left a bad taste to the whole experience. The dress was still gorgeous, and I got so many compliments, but this should have never happened.
On top of the miscommunication with the hem, once I was in my dress on my wedding day, I realized that it was hemmed slightly too long, something that was not an issue at my second fitting.

ave the sample size 12 barely fit over your butt and then you're standing in the mirror trying to envision you looking beautiful on your big day but are distracted by the sausage rolls from the elastic clips helping keep the gaping back from flying open? I went to Wendy's and they have EVERY. SINGLE. DRESS in a 12 and a 22 so that EVERYONE can get an idea of how they will look. I also did my alterations here, which were the same price, if not better, than a few of the independent seamstresses that I checked out around Columbus. Truly a one-stop shop. I wish I got married more than once so I could have the experience of trying on dresses more than once! :)

want to try on and other than that there's not really ANY guidance. So make sure you already know what you're looking for. I had called ahead about my dress budget and been told they had plenty of new options in that price range, only to get to my appointment and find out that only the dresses that were discontinued "off the rack" were anywhere close to my budget so I did feel lied to and couldnt even find 3 that were my size in my price range. Size 8 btw. The ONE saving grace was my Seamstress Lana. She was AMAZING at each appointment and helpful with explaining the alterations. If not for her, I would not even recommend this store for your wedding gown if you are under a $2000 budget. Staff was nice enough but not very helpful when picking out dresses or helping you determine what you're looking for. I lucked out with an off the rack dress that was a size too big that Lana was able to tailor down to fit me thankfully.

I made an appointment at Wendy's and upon arrival was introduced to my stylist, Lila. I was solo, and without any inspiration pictures. I told Lila I didn't have a particular style...
in mind, and just wanted to try on a few different dresses from the off-the-rack section. I picked out three and when I tried them on, we talked through what I liked and didn't like about each dress and she helped me figure out what I was looking for. When I went back out to look around, I saw a dress that I thought I might like on me based on my conversation with Lila. We took it back. I tried it on. She zipped me up. And when I saw myself in the mirror, I knew it was the one! I met Lila's eyes in the mirror, and she knew too. Thanks to her, I had a quick and easy experience and found the perfect dress in less than an hour. It was perfect! I'd recommend working with her to any bride!
