We shop at Westborn all the time and they always have the most gorgeous flowers so I scheduled a consultation to get information for my wedding flowers. The consultation went great as we discussed my vision and the types of flowers I wanted. I was assured it could be done within my budget and I would get a proposal in about a week. Three weeks later I received a proposal (only after I reached out to inquire about the status) that was double my initial budget. When I asked what we could do to shave down some expenses, I never received a response. I ended up with Beth Amazing Petals Florist in Lake Orion and could not have been happier.

I have nothing but great things to say about Westborn. Jeanie was so easy to work with and she sure knows how to make some BEAUTIFUL arrangements. All of the flowers were breathtaking and exactly what I envisioned for our special day. Jeanie worked with my budget and the day was beautiful thanks to her work. Highly recommend Westborn!!

I was very happy with how the flowers turned out for my wedding! I met with Jeanie to go over initial ideas and showed her some pictures of things I wanted. I didn’t want to spend a ton on flowers and Jeanie worked with me to find cheaper, yet beautiful, alternatives! I also went into our meeting not knowing a lot about different flowers and she is extremely knowledgeable and even got up to show me what certain kinds looked like. Jeanie can be a little difficult to get a hold of but I’d definitely use Westborn again!

I did not want to spend a fortune on flowers for my wedding, but I still wanted beautiful bouquets, and Westborn delivered big time! Jeanie met with me once to go over my vision for the flower choices, and then we corresponded several times after to narrow down choices, and she assisted with cutting some costs from the bridesmaids' bouquets as well. We received so many compliments from guests and the bridal party about their flowers, as the roses were so gorgeous as well as all of the added greenery. I will definitely be using Westborn again for floral arrangements, and sending the husband :)

I would highly recommend Jeanie at Westborn Flower Market. She was WONDERFUL to work with. So knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. The bridal and bridesmaids bouquets were better than I imagined. Our groom and groomsmen had succulent boutonnieres that were top notch. She truly made the day beautiful at a reasonable price! Look no further than Westborn for all your wedding needs!

I was absolutely thrilled with how the flowers for my wedding turned out from Westborn and had so many compliments from guests. Westborn was always the florist of choice for my husband (then fiance) to get me flowers, so I knew they were a solid option beforehand, but am even more confident now. A little background for my wedding: 7 bridesmaids, 7 groomsmen, the usual mother/father/grandparents/pianist/pastor, 210 guests, 26 guest tables and 2 centerpieces. I had the flowers delivered and picked up at the end of the night, and also rented some pillar stands and some of the glasses for the centerpieces. I had mostly hydrangeas and assorted greens (seeded eucalyptus, dusty miller, etc.) with some roses and peonies the bouquets. We did three centerpieces (one short floral, one tall floral, and a trio of pillars with flowers/water/floating candles. I knew flowers for a wedding of that size wouldn't be cheap, and I shopped around before ultimately going with Westborn. Our total was around $5000 for everything. While that seems like a lot, it was wayyyy less than my quote from a popular florist in Ferndale that included fewer flowers (ie: more floating candles, etc.) that was around $7500. Jeanie was at my wedding to set up and everything went perfectly as planned. I wish I could add a picture of the flowers since they were gorgeous! I only took a star off because it was a little hard to get in touch with Jeanie- emails weren't always responded to and she was sometimes hard to catch in the store (busy with consults, etc.). Luckily, I live nearby and shop at Westborn often, so it was not a problem to stop in to work together in person and I didn't mind doing it at all. Jeanie was incredibly knowledgable, creative, friendly, and conscious of price/availability, etc. I would highly recommend Westborn, but just know that you'll want to build in extra time for planning meetings and communications since Jeanie is really busy with other orders and the retail side of the store, too.

The flowers were just as I envisioned, possibly better. They were very colorful and unique. While planning the bouquet, Jeannie worked with me on a Saturday morning to make sure the types of flowers I loved would be included and to tell me which would be unavailable and which would be available but extremely expensive during the month of our wedding. She brought together samples of flowers that would still be available months later for my wedding to give me an idea of the color scheme. She was also very thoughtful about bouquet size relative to the bride's body size and allergy issues that could arise from certain flower species that produce a lot of pollen. We attended several other flower consultations, and Jeannie was the most knowledgable and creative floral designer. I also felt she has the best taste and is the most artistic. Not going to lie, the flowers were more expensive than at much of the other places, but the quality really showed in our pictures. I'm glad we splurged a little on the flowers. I ordered a bridal and toss bouquet, five bridesmaids' bouquets, ten boutonnières, three corsages, and a fake flower ball for the one-year-old flower girl to bash around.

I'd like to say first that Jeannie at Westborn was incredibly nice, but there were a few issues before my wedding and also with the flowers I received. The first issue was that Jeannie keeps banker's hours- this makes it difficult to schedule a consultation when you work full time. She also was not responsive to email- you have to call Westborn and try to get ahold of her. She did give me her personal cell number, which helped. The contract allows her to make substitutions as needed, but I didn't realize that half my choices would be substituted. For example, I ordered blush peonies but ended up with bright pink. I ordered seeded eucalyptus that didn't make it in at all, and somehow I ended up with yellow roses in my altarpieces that I didn't order. All of this could be easily forgiven if not for the last issues: some of the flowers (including the blue delphinium showpiece of my arrangements and bouquets) were a little old- it looked as if things had been put together a few days in advance with some of the flowers on their last legs. The last and worst is that they didn't deliver my flowers to the bakery as promised. When my day-of coordinator went to pick up my other flowers on the wedding day, the cake flowers were still at Westborn. When she asked about it, she was told they were "too busy" to deliver them. That is the worst excuse I have ever heard for breach of contract and absolutely unacceptable. All things considered, it seems like Westborn takes on more work than its staff can handle. The condition of some of the flowers, the fact that half my flowers were substituted, and them blowing off a delivery that they promised makes me feel that my small wedding was an unimportant afterthought to them. I spent over $1000 for 2 altarpieces, 1 bridal bouquet, 1 bridesmaid bouquet, 2 wrist corsages and 6 boutonnières- not a huge order, but expensive when you consider the price per piece. I could have gotten many of the same flowers at Sam's or Costco for a fraction of the price- what I was paying for with Westborn was service, and they unfortunately fell short on that.

Jeanie did a great job - everything turned out perfect! Our bouquets were wonderful, the centerpieces were exactly what I had in mind. My husband's boutonniere didn't make it through the hundreds of hugs given out, but the groomsmen's lasted all night. Highly recommed!

FANTASTIC! GORGEOUS! VALUE! My wedding and reception was in downtown Birmingham. I sat down at the time of my consultation and I explained what my needs were and what my budget was. I didn't have a lot of $$$ to spend on flowers. They were very accommodating and they gave me above and beyond what I could have ever imagined. They were friendly, kind and appear to sincerely care about me and what I wanted. The delivery and set up was flawless. I highly recommend.

Westborn was AMAZING at making my vision come true while staying in our budget. Rachel was so helpful and positive, a true joy to work with. We had a large wedding party with 9 attendants on each side - every boutonniere, bouquet, and table centerpiece was perfect! I highly recommend them as a full-service florist.

...and go here for your wedding flowers! I went to numerous florists and Westborn charged me HALF of what the competitors appraised me for. Initially I was only going to get a few centerpieces as I worried about cost but I was able to get my bouquet and nine table settings for $500. That's a true deal! Also, these flowers were absolutely gorgeous. I brought in a picture of what I wanted and my centerpieces included a gray berry that's a little different (forgive me I forget the name). They incorporated this interesting piece beautifully. Everyone commented on the the beauty of the flowers, from guests to the venue staff! This was by far the best case scenario for me as a bride.

My fiance, family, and I had the most wonderful experience working with Nicole at Westborn Floral Market for our wedding! Not only were the arrangements gorgeous, but Nicole was a pleasure to work with. She kept us on-task, in the best way, and worked with several of our other vendors to coordinate for the day of. Westborn Market did a fantastic job on our flowers. The consultation went great and they were very helpful. I had a picture for my bouquet and that helped drive the conversation. When I went to an overview appointment a week before they had an example of our small centerpieces. I was able to make adjustments to it and the other pieces before the final bouquet. I'm SO glad they had an example so I could make those changes. And the changes they made were perfect. A few days before the wedding they sent me a picture of an actual centerpiece and I love it. Our flower arrangements were exactly what I wanted them to look like and they were so full! Everyone was talking about the flowers during the reception and I could not have been happier. I wanted flowers people would talk about and I got them!

My fiance and I met with Westborn Market in Berkley for our floral consultation. The meeting was good, but I didn't feel like she fully understood my vision for our wedding. None the less, we anxiously awaited our proposal from them. We were told a couple days after our meeting we'd be emailed the cost information. We NEVER received the proposal. We decided not to contact them and ask for it because we didn't think that they were reliable enough for us to feel comfortable with them following through for our wedding.

We used the Westborn in Livonia. We didn't know what we wanted and somehow without much detail they made our flowers exactly what we wanted. My bouquet was so beautiful and stayed looking fresh all day long. We got bridal bouquet, two bridesmaids, 5 boutonnieres, 2 wrist corsages at less than $500 in total.

Richard was our designer at the Livonia Westborn Market location. He is an absolute artist. He was happy to give suggestions or what brides typically want but will go with your vision.

I had to rebook my florist 2 weeks before my wedding. They were so helpful, fast, and provided me relief that my wedding would still have flowers!

I chose Westborn Market in Livonia, Michigan, to provide flowers for my wedding in September of 2013. Richard was my consultant, and he was very pleasant, professional, and easy to work with. I appreciated his availability, knowledge, and consideration of our budget. He was more than willing to help us cut costs wherever possible. The flowers were delivered to the church and the reception site promptly. They were fresh and beautiful!! We received many compliments about them from our guests. I would highly recommend Richard and the staff at Westborn if you are considering a floral vendor. I think you will be very pleased with their service and the quality of the flowers they provide.

I cannot emphasize enough how much of a pleasure it was to work with Westborn Market. They were truly wonderful. Throughout the entire process they made me feel like my wedding was the most important event to them and they were incredibly helpful! They gave great advice as to how to get the look I wanted for a fraction of the price. They did a beautiful job on the bouquets, boutineers, centerpieces and church flowers. Everything was perfect and so much less expensive than I ever thought possible. A few weeks before my wedding I had a hiccup regarding who would be able to set up the decorations for the reception and Westborn Market came to my rescue. We went to Westborn flower Market for our wedding flowers. I had several appointments with other highly rated floral places in the Detroit area, but for one reason or another I eliminated them all. During my consultation with Nicole I knew that Westborn was going to be the place that would give us the floral arrangements of our dreams. Nicole made us feel comfortable right from the start. She made sure that we were comfortable, having fun, and truly happy with our designs. She truly wants to see that every bride has the wedding floral of her dreams. I was impressed with the pricing of Westborn market. Their pricing was by far the most fare that I had been quoted during our wedding process. There weren't any hidden extra fees, any early delivery fees, etc. Westborn is truly straight forward in their pricing. I will vouch for Westborn their pricing may be more fare but this does not mean that it lacks quality. The quality of their floral is amazing. They don't use anything but the most fresh cut flowers. Just have a look around the store in the floral cases for every day sale. If the flowers look that good for every day sale, imagine the special order wedding flowers! Mine were gorgeous. Did I mention I was an out of town Bride? I live in Grand Rapids,MI but my family is from the east side of Michigan. I knew I needed to pick a place that I felt comfortable with that would help me with my vision but not require me to take a lot of trips to execute our ideas. Nicole was extremly responsive to any emails we sent with pictures, ideas, questions, and concerns. Nicole helped us to build the wedding floral that we had dreamed of but couldn't quite capture on my own. She was willing to switch the floral ideas around as much as we needed. A few weeks before the wedding we did a run through and she had a wonderful centerpiece set up for us as it would appear on our wedding day (which we drove in to see). It was so nice to see it in person a few weeks before the wedding and have a chance to make adjustments (none were needed). The best suprise was that we were able to take it home with us! Our heads were filled with dreams of our guests all sitting around tables filled with the wonderful centerpieces on our drive home. The week of the wedding the floral arrangements were started a few days before the wedding. As the boquests and centerpieces were made I was sent pictures with another chance to make any changes I might want to make. It was so relieving to be able to see the floral before the wedding and feel confident that the floral would be perfect! There are tons of things for a bride to be worried about before her wedding, it was so nice to have the floral not to be one of them! I knew that I had nothing to worry about when it came to the delivery and setup of the floral arrangements. Nicole truly treated our wedding as if it were her own in the months leading up to the wedding and the actual day of the wedding. All the floral was beautiful and we got so many compliments! I think Westborn Market on Woodward is the best kept secret in town! I would highly recommend at least a consultation with Nicole before you make any final decisions on floral!

I wasn't one of those girls who grew up with a "dream wedding" planned out and wasn't quite sure what I wanted for our center piece arrangements, what would be in season for our wedding (it was a fall wedding), how to save on costs, etc. Richard was absolutely AMAZING to work with because he asked a few questions as to what we thought we would like and what we have drawn inspiration from, and within 5min of sitting down with him, he already had gorgeous ideas for the bouquets, boutonnieres, center pieces, and how to save us money without skimping on the detail. He was even able to show us a basic arrangement with what they had on hand and was willing to do a free demo centerpiece! I didn't have to ask for that--he suggested it because he wanted to be certain we would be happy with it. And let me tell you we couldn't have been happier when we saw the piece! Coming into that situation without a clue as to what I wanted, Richard was able to magically know EXACTLY what I wanted before I did! The man knows his stuff, clearly loves what he does, and I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone!

Westborn did an amazing job at both my wedding this year and my brother and sister-in-law's wedding 2 years ago. They gave my mom and I great advice when deciding which flowers to choose and gave us tips when it came down to what we could do to keep the price within our budget (and still get quality flowers!). We received tons of compliments on ALL of our flowers. I was OBSESSED with my bouquet. It turned out EXACTLY like the picture I gave to them. I couldn't believe how gorgeous it was. For my wedding, we had a succulent theme. I was originally going to have succulents in each bouquet, but decided just to have them in my bouquet to keep costs down. However, a few days before the wedding, Nicole (from Westborn) told me she knew how much I loved the succulents and wanted to let me know she was going to add some to the bridesmaids bouquets :) They turned out amazing. Also, I found a picture on pinterest of a wedding cake with succulents and willow wrapped around it, and I showed it to them to see if they could do it. They were able to coordinate with my bakery and the cake turned out just like the picture once again! I highly recommend them!

I worked with Alysonne for my centerpiece, bridal bouquet, and bouquets for my bridal party. She was such a pleasure to work with and took my vision and created such beautiful centerpieces that were breathtaking! The trial centerpiece that she created for me to see took my breath away and heightened my excitement for the wedding. As a gift, a guest from each table was given the centerpiece to take home and the florals lasted for several weeks. Such great attention to detail and the florals used were so beautiful!

Did an assortment of 3 caramel apples and they were delicious. I couldn't of been able to do it with Danny their produce manager.

Richard, the head of the flower department really knows his stuff. The bouquets were beautiful. He was also very conscientious about cost and while we were brainstorming he let me know which flowers were pricier than others. He even advised me on a hearty wild flower I could pick myself for free. I loved them! I also didn't like the idea of regular ribbon and brought in burlap and twine for the bridesmaids bouquets- they looked awesome! Richard really works with your vision and helps you achieve it in a cost effective manner. Great experience and loved the outcome.

Richard at Westborn was absolutely wonderful! He understood my vision for my wedding day perfectly from the very beginning. He was happy to order sample flowers and answered questions throughout. We decided only use the florist for bouquets and ordered bulk flowers to do the centerpieces ourselves to keep costs lower. Richard was understanding and helpful in what kind of flowers might work, as well as ordering amounts. The flowers were absolutely beautiful and the experience was stress-free and wonderful!

Nicole was great to work with and the flowers were beautiful. They are a little pricey for what you get I think, but the nice thing is you don't rent the vases. They are yours to keep so you don't have to worry about a pick up charge at the end of the night

Westborn Market in Berkley, MI is a great place to get your wedding flowers! Their florist is creative and knowledgeable about all kinds of flowers. She will help you pick a design out if you're unsure of. She was easy to work with and was open to my suggestions and provided me with suggestions. Westborn will work with you and your budget.

He and his staff went above and beyond for my wedding- coloring my peonies :), making gorgeous arrangements to making sure the delivery went smoothly to the hall. I felt confident and in great hands. Richard and staff are so kind and did everything they could to make sure my flowers were perfect. The flowers themselves and the arrangements were gorgeous and recieved many many compliments. My peony bouquet was breath taking and was exactly what I had dreamed of carrying. I felt like a princess carrying them. I cannot recommend Westborn Market highly enough. They are wonderful!! Nicole Magewick from Westborn Market was without a doubt one of my favorite vendors to work with while planning our 2010 wedding. She is an all around fabulous person-deigner and consultant.Based on reviews I had read about her,I booked her without even meeting her. When we did finally meet,we just clicked. One of the many things I loved about her is that she has her hands in everything-from the consultations to the ordering and actual design work to the final delivery of the product. Many of the other big name florists have several people involved in the process and i worried that things would get lost in translation with a system like that. Having one person to work with really helped calm my nerves. Nicole helped me hone the look I was going for and was always prompt to respond to my emails and phone calls. She was great at providing input and advice when I needed some inspiration. I knew that everything would be beautiful and sure enough, she didn't disappoint. I remember going to see my flowers the day before our wedding and when I walked into the cooler, I was blown away! I literally teared up. Everything was gorgeous and spot on! Flowers were a big deal for me and I'm so happy that Nicole was able to make my dreams a reality. Hope my review helps:)
