Our whole team at Marriott was wonderful, they worked seamlessly with our day of coordinators to deliver an amazing event from start to finish. The planning process was easy and the team was very flexible with our multiple visits and timezone coordination as we were planning our wedding in Maryland from the West Coast. They were so experienced with indian weddings and lots of our wedding vendors communication flowed easily between our entire team! We are so grateful to Armecia, Stephen and Sharon for making our big day possible!
Our wedding at Westfields was nothing short of magical! The hotel is majestic. From the initial planning stages to the grand celebration, the entire experience was seamless and exceeded our expectations. We had initially signed and put down a deposit at another venue. But we attended the Desi Shaadi Showcase and fell in love with Westfields and just had to have our special day there - and since our guest count went way up - this was just perfect for us. We had 3 of our 5 events at Westfield - the haldi and the reception and a 2nd wedding ceremony.
The venue itself is a stunning blend of elegance and charm. The well-manicured grounds provided a picturesque backdrop, and the ballroom was the perfect setting for our reception. Every corner of Westfields exudes a sophisticated ambiance that added a touch of luxury to our special day.
The staff deserves special commendation. Both Erin and Megan were our fairy godmothers/angels/life savers. Their professionalism and attention to detail were evident throughout the entire process. They both worked closely with us to bring our vision to life, and the service provided by the entire team on the day of the wedding was exceptional. Our guests were impressed by the warm and accommodating staff, making everyone feel truly taken care of.
Additionally, the accommodations were top-notch. The bridal suite - which was the presidential suite was amazing, providing the perfect space for getting ready and capturing those precious pre-wedding moments.
Choosing Westfileds as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions we made. The combination of a breathtaking setting, attentive staff, and exceptional amenities created an unforgettable experience for us and our guests. Thank you, Westfields for being the perfect backdrop to the beginning of our happily ever after!
The day of our rehearsal dinner and the day before our wedding, the hotel cancelled 10 guest rooms that had already been booked. At least a week beforehand, they knew that they may have to cancel these rooms, and the night before they made the decision to cancel them, but the hotel waited until almost the very last minute to contact us and force us to choose 10 guests who had to move to another hotel.
There were plenty of other communications issues and misleading statements that got us to sign with them in the first place, but that pretty much sums everything up.
This hotel was everything we wanted for our wedding. Working with Erin Rolaf was absolutely incredible. She was super responsive, professional, and flexible with all of our wedding needs. From our room block, to a dinner at the restaurant Friday before the wedding, the entire wedding day, and even a Sunday brunch after the wedding, Erin coordinated everything seamlessly. The hotel was beautiful (even while it was going through some room renovations) and the hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. The Fairfax Dining Room worked perfectly for our needs as well. We did the ceremony in one area of the room, the cocktail hour close by, and the reception in the room as well. The staff was incredible throughout the event and everything looked beautiful. I highly recommend this venue for those looking for a ballroom wedding (especially with on site accommodations), and I recommend Erin Rolaf with 11 out of 10 rating!
This hotel was exceptional for our room block and rehearsal dinner for our wedding.
- Logistics: It has a continuous shuttle to/from the airport every 30 minutes that reliably transported 40 guests. It was the furthest north-east Marriott we could find that had a continuous shuttle instead of an on-call shuttle.
- Suites: Many of our guests told us after how much they loved their suites. They were large but also reasonably priced.
- Event support: The space and service for our rehearsal dinner were great, and the hospitality suite conference room accommodated preparation for 9 bridal party members with 4 hair and makeup artists.
- Staff: The staff, especially Phillip, went above and beyond to accommodate our preferences, concerns, and last minute changes.

We used Westfields Marriott for our room block. The hotel itself is huge and gorgeous. We had multiple points of contact for different things (one for booking the block, one for organizing and keeping tabs on the block and one for any events at the hotel) which made things pretty confusing. At the beginning it was hard to get in touch with people because all of the planning occurred during COVID and staff was down to a minimum. Once the hotel opened back up more and people came back to work it got much better and everyone was pretty responsive. They worked with me to organize a welcome get together for my out of town guests and a thank you breakfast the day after the wedding. They gave me a bunch of options to help stay within my budget which was fantastic.
I was able to book the presidential suite for me and my bridesmaids to get ready in but I was initially told that none of the suites would be available (this is almost a year before the wedding and the hotel wasn't even open at the time, I'm pretty sure they were waiting to see if somebody else booked it first).
There were a couple large Indian weddings going on that weekend and it felt like those groups were being prioritized over mine (I get it, they were spending a whole lot more money there than we were, but still). My guests who reserved rooms via the block were spread all across the hotel and a couple of them told me that the rooms had not been properly cleaned prior to them checking in.
Overall, everything turned out well and my guests enjoyed their time there.
Our guests stayed at the Westfield Marriott for our wedding. The hotel is absolutely beautiful - great rooms with tons of amenities, the grounds are landscaped and maintained and there is a restaurant/bar for people to congregate. It was easy for our guests the reserve rooms in the block and my husband and I were comped a suite for the wedding night which was so nice. We arranged to have happy hour priced cocktails at their bar after the rehearsal dinner and the wedding and they were very accommodating. We had a few miscommunication around these two receptions but the hotel worked with us to resolve the issues. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend the Westfield Marriott.
The Westfields Marriott is the perfect location for a wedding. Everything you need is there so your guests don't need to leave. We had a cocktail reception on the outdoor patio, reception in the gorgeous Fairfax room upstairs, and after party (late night snacks and cigars) at the hotel bar. Everything was perfect and done so professionally. Our Marriott planner, Monica, was amazing to work with and remembered so many little details from our contract, brought our vision to life, and made our day absolutely flawless.
Wow! I just had my ceremony and reception here and I was so impressed!! The staff go above and beyond to make sure every detail is perfect! Maria Flores was our event manger and she was beyond phenomenal. She made sure the groom and I were fed, and ever little touch we wanted to make our night unique was in place. What a gorgeous venue, luxurious accommodations for your guests, and perfect terrace for an outdoor wedding.
I can see why this has become the place to get married! The Westfields is such a unique and beautiful hotel and is perfect for Indian weddings that hold a baraat! Not only was the venue beautiful but everyone from the sales department to the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Our coordinator did an excellent job managing the day and tried to accommodate everything we asked for! While the hotel was far from my house it was perfect for my out of town guests that could land at Dulles only a few miles away.I am so glad we chose this hotel for our big day!
We had both our rehearsal dinner and reception at the Marriott. Both nights the food was amazing. Jennifer Simmons was our event coordinator and she was wonderful, responsive, flexible and very sweet! We booked the Marriott over a year in advance so we started working with a few people that no longer worked there by the time our wedding actually came around but that never got in the way. Ellen Ouellette the director of event planning even reached out to us to make sure everything was going smooth with our transition. The hotel itself is beautiful and makes for amazing pictures both inside and out. I recommend booking the suite for the night before the wedding as well. It was perfect to get ready in with my girls and really makes you feel like royalty the whole weekend! The only issue that we had was that the lighting people did not actually respond to our emails and we did not get the up lights that we wanted. I believe they are contracted out but be on top of that if it is something you really want.
I frigging loved this place. Christine and Lynann went above and beyond and made the experience a heckuva lot easier. It was beautiful, my guests loved the accommodations, and it was SO EASY having most everything in one place. Between them and my planner, I just got to do all the fun stuff! If you are looking, START HERE! It's not going to be beat.
Our wedding was perfect because of John at Westfields. We worked with John for months and he executed everything perfectly, just as we talked about. The venue is beautiful and was the perfect setting for our fall wedding (ceremony was outside on the patio) and all the guests raved about the service, food, and hotel rooms.
The guests loved staying here. Most of them were there for an entire week. They loved the staff and the rooms were spacious!

Westfields Marriott did an amazing job! We loved every single minute. The entire staff from the Bellman, to Front Desk, to the Banquet and Pub Staff did everything they could to make our weekend as special as possible. A special thank you to Marissa Goessling our Event Manager. The day was perfect thanks to her!! Her patience and calm kept me calm and knowing she had everything under control let me enjoy the entire day. A special thank to Chef Sullivan, everyone is still raving about the food. Thank you to Kodjo Walker and his team for executing the event flawlessly! Thank you to Mary Ashe and Nazila Shadmard for all of your help and patience with all of the tiny requests with the sleeping rooms. Thank you to Ben Debragga and his Bell Staff for making every guest feel welcome from the second they pulled up to the front of the hotel. Thank you to Virgina Keeler and Kelly Andrews that got us started off on the right foot. Every single person in the hotel went out of their way to make our wedding weekend more than we could have ever asked for. It is a weekend and a place we will never forget. Thank you from the bottom of hearts for everything!
I worked with Sara Twigg, who is absolutely great! Sara was assigned to my wedding 3 weeks before the event as my previous catering manager left the hotel. Sara was very helpful and friendly. She was always available to help and responded to all questions in a timely manner.
They took care of everything and it was wonderful!
I looked at a few hotels for our ceremony and reception. None of them even came close to the Westfields. It's hard to find a nice outdoor space in Northern Va that doesn't look like northern Va. The Westfelds was amazing. The staff was great to work with, they really hooked us up with some great deals and were willing to work with us to achieve the look we were going for the only negative I have issue an outdoor wedding you are right in the flight path for Dulles. We had a plan fly over during our ceremony. The food was also amazing. Many of my guests thought the salad course could have been the main course. It was just mouthwatering and delicious. I have nothing but glowing recommendations for the Westfields Marriott and their staff!
The serice we received while booking rooms was great but it got even better the week of the wedding. The staff went out of their way to group our guests near each other and provide any level of service we required. This was customer service at its best from the valet to the manager, this hotel is worth every penny!
All my guests stayed at this hotel and they bend over backwards of all of us! Excellent customer service and they will really work with you on a reasonable room rate! I was very impressed!
My wedding from the walk down the aile to the last dance went seemlessly! I couldn't be more happy. They were very accomodating, the value for my budget was great, and the location is just gorgeous!
5 stars is not enough for the Westfields Marriott - I wish I could give them 100! I can't say enough good things about the Westfields Marriott - they were fantastic. We got married on their sunset terrace and had our reception was inside. Everything was executed flawlessly! My wedding was the most perfect magical day ever and it's because they made everything stress free for me. They were so wonderful to work with. Virginia Keeler is so great and she explained everything to us and we got exactly what we were looking for. Marissa Goessling was my event manager and she did a GREAT job! Everything was perfect. The staff was amazing and everyone made us feel so special. The event staff at the reception anticipated my every need. They exceeded my every expectation. I HIGHLY recommend them!!
My experience with the wedding planning at Westfields was great. Jason Horni was my event coordinator. He was wonderful to work with. The food was excellent!!!! People are still raving about it. The service at the reception was terrific.
However, the hotel reservations side of the hotel gave away the reserved rooms of several guests - including the Best Man and Godparents' of the groom because the hotel overbooked the itself. Our contract with hotel included a reserved block of 40 rooms that was released several weeks before the wedding. All of the displaced guests made their reservations while the block was in effect. When my guests went to check in on the night of the wedding, they were flatly told to find different hotels and to coordinate their own transportation (with a $20 cab fare provided). Marriott has since provided my guests with vouchers; however, it does not exactly compensate for the fact that some of these guests booked their rooms in March for a June wedding and flew from California for the event.
The venue was wonderful! IT was more than we could have ever dreamed! They certainly went above and beyond the contract!
