Joann is such a wonderful person! She made the wedding process stress free and easy going! She became such a close person to me and my family!!! We consider her family after all the things she did for us and went out of her way 💗 I high recommend her!

We worked with JoAnn and What Dreams Are Made Of for full-service coordination. She did very well in certain areas such as vendor coordination and contracting. She helped us find a few vendors, handled nearly all of the vendor coordination and did all of the final vendor reminders, which was a huge help and relief that we didn’t have to take that on. We also worked with her floral studio, Cherry Brandy Designs, and they did a fantastic job. And the band she recommended was INCREDIBLE - they made the night! However, there are many areas where I was disappointed in the work we received. I’m not someone who typically writes reviews but I was a bit disappointed by the overall experience and wish I had known to ask more specific questions during the initial interview, so I hope this review will be helpful to another bride! JoAnn was always very responsive via text, phone call and email and would almost always respond almost immediately, which was great. However, she’d respond saying she’d handle something that day and then wouldn’t do it for several days/weeks and often it seemed as if she had forgotten altogether so we’d have to follow up multiple times. One of our vendor questions fell off her radar for 3 months. She does a great job of finding ways to save you money but otherwise offered very little advice or recommendations. I was way out of my league picking things like linen colors, decorations, escort card / place card styles, etc and would have really appreciated more guidance on those. She was also not proactive in checking in or letting us know what we needed to get done when and usually waited for us to come to her, until the last month or two. She continually forgot key details or didn’t review the documents from vendors closely so quality control was often lacking. For example, the shuttle was supposed to pick up my husband and the groomsmen to take them to the venue at a time when we should have been halfway through wedding party pictures, but she didn’t notice until we pointed it out and asked her to go back to the vendor to correct it. You have to check everything very closely, which sometimes feels like it requires additional time and attention to make sure the work you’re paying for is done correctly. We also had her review our budget several times and she never mentioned how much day-of tips would add up, but that was a huge expense that ultimately set us over budget. It was often details that were coordinated via email that slipped through the cracks, but modern day brides are more and more going to rely on email. I’d suggest JoAnn have someone from her team copied on every email to help better manage these details and quality control. At the rehearsal, JoAnn didn’t want to go over some very important details such as how the ceremony would actually play out. Many members of our wedding party and family commented on how the rehearsal was not handled well at all. The hair and makeup stylists she recommended were also challenging to work with. They were rude to the photographer and videographer, who are obviously very important players when it comes to to capturing the day. JoAnn worked with the stylists when creating the day-of timeline and they would not let us outline a clear schedule for styling and that is the one piece that caused issues and stress day-of, when the photographer wanted to start taking pictures but some of the girls weren’t ready and we didn’t realize that would happen before everyone was ready since we didn’t have a clear styling schedule. We had offered to have additional bridesmaids get ready earlier in the morning to avoid this exact situation, but JoAnn and the stylists said it wasn’t necessary. I feel like I didn’t get nearly enough pictures with my bridesmaids before the wedding because of this and I really regret it. There were other small issues day-of such as JoAnn not giving our ushers the programs they were supposed to be handing out and not making sure our toasting glasses were where they were supposed to be (so we were empty handed for our toast!) but overall the day went smoothly and was very special. I think JoAnn is a great person and she has a wonderful team. She was always fun to meet with and talk with on the phone, and she did do a lot of work to make the day as great as it was. However, it would be beneficial for her to either lean on her team more for help or to take on fewer weddings so she can better support each wedding.

Choosing What Dreams are Made Of… was the best decision we made for our wedding. Joann Provenzano’s calming demeanor, attention to detail, and ability to bring our ideas to life all contributed to an absolutely gorgeous day that we will cherish forever. We never felt pressured, stressed or worried from the second we hired her. She recommended a dream team of vendors that worked so hard to make our day completely flawless. We would recommend her services over and over again!

Where do I even begin!! Hiring JoAnn and her staff was the BEST decision we made in regards to out wedding. From the first time we met JoAnn at Panera, we knew she was the lady for the job and was a new best friend. Our wedding was crazy hectic because we lived in Texas but decided to get married at West Point and without JoAnn and her staff it would have been a HUGE Mess. From the endless planning, the late night phone calls, the texts just checking up on me and going out of her way to make sure everything went perfect for us, JoAnn was there every step of the way. Since we were not from the area, we had no idea where to begin with vendors. She was quick to recommend us all her top people and JoAnn always made sure everything went according to plan. We've made a new lifelong friend and because of her our wedding was the best day ever. I don't know how to thank her for all the work she put into our perfect day, but if you enlist her I promise you won't be disappointed. <3

I met JoAnn after I choose my Venue. I was contemplating whether to hire a Wedding Planner or not. I was planning my entire wedding on my own and I did some research and bought a guide book and at first I thought I could do it by myself, however as I started planning I was overwhelmed and searched for a Planner. The first person I called was JoAnn. My first conversation went well and she made me feel good about meeting her. I met JoAnn a week after and we got along and I felt comfortable hiring JoAnn. JoAnn was awesome since day 1. JoAnn helped me through the entire process and recommended a few vendors however she didn't pressure me to use the ones she knew. I did use some of her venders and they were also wonderful. JoAnn was professional and knows the business very well. She was attentive and trusting. She recommended an awesome Reverend. JoAnn traveled to meet me wherever possible and was always available. The day of the Wedding JoAnn and her Assistant made the day perfect. I did not have to worry about anything. JoAnn took control and everything we spoke about she handled and did it with care. I felt relaxed and was not worried about the small stuff. My day was perfect and JoAnn made it happen. I definitely recommend hiring a Wedding Planner, I highly recommend JoAnn. Thank you JoAnn for everything. You are AWESOME!

We just got married on 10/21/17! which also was the best day of our lives. Thank you Joann and team for making this day stress-free. I know its only been a week since we've been married, literally I cant stop day dreaming and dreaming about it. It was the most perfect fall day...I think JoAnn might've called in a special order for the weather (I know she had no control over it but lets give her credit). The ceremony and reception were at Locus Grove in Poughkeepsie NY. Funny because when we met, I didn't tell her I had this place in mind. She knew from meeting me that this would be the perfect location, and she was right. You can tell she's been in this business a while. She knew all the vendors to use, which really pulled it all together for us. My husband and I said we should have an anniversary party every year just to relive that day again. We enlisted JoAnn’s services as a week of coordinator and the corresponding package. We feel that we did not get everything the package outlined and were unhappy with JoAnn’s demeanor during and after the wedding. 1) Our vendors were not contacted until 1 day before the wedding, while the package states contact will be made one week before. In fact, after speaking to JoAnn our photographer and transportation were confused about the location of the wedding. Consequently, my wife had to speak with all the vendors the day of the wedding to confirm where they would be going. 2) She never introduced herself to either of us, she just came up to us the day of the wedding and began to ask us questions. Even our guests thought she was just another guest attending the wedding. 3) She did set up our decor at the wedding site, but some things were left undone and in the wrong places despite detailed instructions. I had to move things around right before the ceremony while in my tuxedo. 4) Right after the ceremony our plan was to take family photos, we had told JoAnn how we would really need her help in rounding up my large family, she seemed on top of it, even requesting a copy of the Shot List which we provided. Unfortunately, when the time came, she was nowhere to be found and we missed out on some important photos (with my mom and grandfather) 5) Immediately following the ceremony, she made an off handed comment to my wife regarding how she walked down the aisle. When I brought this up after the wedding and told her that it was upsetting to my wife, her response was that my wife was “fragile.” After the wedding I contacted JoAnn to discuss our feelings about her services. We felt that in no way did we get our money’s worth. In her responses she was abrasive, blamed the other vendors, blamed us and my mother, but did agreed that we were entitled to a refund, which we ultimately declined. JoAnn’s package reiterates that she will “take charge” and “responsibility” throughout the wedding process, which we felt she did not do. She claimed the other vendors were not accepting of her assistance which to me means she did not take charge. Then when I told her how we felt about her services she took no responsibility for anything by blaming everyone else. Overall, we were dissatisfied and disappointed by this experience, and even shocked at the way that JoAnn responded to our concerns. It is quite a shame because we were on the fence about whether or not we needed a week of coordinator and ultimately wish that we had made a different decision.

Thank you so much for helping make the most fabulous day in life such a success!! We truly appreciate all of the help and the wonderful staff! Joanne we can't thank you enough for all of your efforts!! We are truly blessed!

We just got married on July 15th, 2017 at the Falkirk. We could not have done this without JoAnn and the team at What Dreams Are Made Of. They really make you feel like family. We moved from NY to Las Vegas so we ended up planning the wedding from 2,500 miles away and JoAnn was there every step of the way. She coordinated with vendors, the venue, etc. and made sure we had as little stress as possible. She had great suggestions for the rehearsal dinner as well as great recommendations for other vendors. They truly go out of their way. On our wedding night we had a shuttle bus back to the hotel and the bus mistakenly left us because I was still in the venue getting gifts, etc. to bring back to the car. JoAnn and her assistant drove us back to our hotel to make sure we got there safe! She had every detail down for everything that needed to be done from beginning to end and if something went wrong it certainly went unnoticed because she took care of it. I'm still getting compliments about our day and JoAnn and her team played a significant role in how everything turned out. I highly recommend her as your wedding planner.

Joann and her team were prompt, professional, and courteous. They did a great job of helping run the ceremony and remembered all of our little decorative touches.

JoAnn and her team were very professional and were very helpful during wedding planning . She recommended some fantastic vendors and even offered to drive me to my hair and makeup trials (I'm from out of town and don't drive). She was also very responsive to my text messages and emails. The day of the wedding I didn't have to worry about logistics at all and everything went smoothly.

Oh where to begin with my warm, fuzzing feelings of gratitude towards JoAnn and What Dreams Are Made Of! Perhaps it says it best that I bonded with JoAnn so much during what could have easily been a hellacious wedding process (managing 17 vendors over 18 months), that I'm texting her right now to find a time to see her and catch up! JoAnn was a calming and grounding force from Day 1, giving me a sense of comfort that no one (save my fiance) could provide during the wedding planning process. Before I even hired her, in our initial call I quickly gathered she is someone you can deeply trust and rely on. After we made our "wedding planning partnership" official, I gave thanks constantly (perhaps daily in the end!) for bringing on such a thorough project manager. JoAnn had endless patience for my many ideas, questions, and wide range of vendors, helping me navigate many months of decision making. I built out my ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception on a real working farm so to say there was A LOT to oversee and manage is an understatement. Whether it was coordinating vendor arrival times, setting up decor just as my neurotic emails had requested, or giving me a chuckle when I needed it, JoAnn truly made it her 24/7 job to be there for me in every capacity. Her response time across any platform (call, text, email) was the best I've worked with and continued to my wedding day and far beyond it. Her ability to resolve any problem / potential issue you threw at her was uncanny and really spoke to the years of experience she has in delivering beautiful, organized, successful wedding events. You will be in excellent hands if you hire JoAnn and What Dreams Are Made Of, and if you're lucky enough perhaps even walk away with a new friendship like I did.

We LOVE Joann!! My husband and I were married in Woodstock in June, and Joann and her team made all of our dreams come true. We live in the city and needed someone from the area to help us navigate what we were doing. From our first meeting, Joann made us feel confident that she was the person to give us the experience that we were looking for. She was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and always available. Her relationships with the other vendors in town was invaluable. Joann and her team delivered and more on their promises. We also used her floral design company, Cherry Brandy Designs, for our wedding flowers and she knocked it out of the park. My husband and I can not recommend Joann enough. A+++

I hemmed and hawed about whether or not I should hire a month-of coordinator since our venue would be assigning me a bridal attendant. I could not be more grateful to Joann and her assistant Crystal and am SO glad we hired them! I’m a type-A hyper-organized bride (with a career background in events) so I knew what I could and could not reasonably expect. Starting about two months before the wedding, I cc’ed Joann on all wedding-related emails, sent her copies of our vendor contracts, and debriefed with her about all things wedding related. Two weeks prior to our wedding, she and Crystal came all the way from Kingston, NY to New Rochelle to meet me and my now-husband at our venue to go through the entire day, down to the minute. She helped ease my anxiety and assured me we would stay on time (my biggest concern!). On the day-of, Joann greeted me when I arrived and made sure I was set up in the Bridal Suite. My bridal attendant was not particularly helpful and disappeared completely after she checked in on me at the start of the cocktail hour. Joann and Crystal set everything up with the venue, made sure things were moved from space to space, and helped us stay on time. Prior to the wedding, I had emailed Joann about getting an armchair from the venue for the Hora. She said she would take care of it. I later brought this up to our venue coordinator, who said he hadn’t heard from Joann about this and that the only armchairs they had were too heavy for lifting. I was annoyed, but ignored it and said nothing to her. On the day of the wedding, a light armchair magically appeared during the hora! I’m not sure if Joann brought one from home or if something else happened, but I was so impressed in that moment. One thing that could have been improved is that we missed out on a lot of crucial pictures because both Joann and our photographer left the group organizing to me during portraits, even though I didn’t have the shot list on hand. We missed out on group pictures of the entire wedding party together and some of the more cutesy bride/groom photos, but if that’s the only blip then I’ll take it. The wedding was flawless and if there were any problems at all I never knew about them - a sign that Joann and her team did their jobs perfectly! I am so happy with this decision.

AHHH!!! It makes me SO thrilled to be writing this because What Dreams are Made of truly made my day spectacular. Happiness fills my heart when I think of Joann and Kristen and the rest of the team. I found Joann and her team about a year and a half before my wedding, and it was the best decision I ever made. I wanted to make sure that I could enjoy the wedding process, despite being long distance, my fiance not being with me, and planning a wedding in a place where I was not currently living. The second I got off the phone with Joann after our initial phone call, I called my mom and was like YES!!!! She assured me everything would be perfect over 400 days in advance. I mean, she must be good at what she does right?! She handled everything from vendors to the small stuff. Listened to me vent about silly things, and discussed the big stuff as some things fell through on my end last minute. Our officiant had to cancel due to family issues 8 days before the wedding. I called her at midnight, and she walked me through the process, ensuring everything would be okay and the next day she was ON IT. We thankfully figured everything out, and it went perfectly just as she said! The timing of each event was coordinated in her timeline, the logistics and the day of events flowed seamlessly. We had a morning wedding, so as you know there was a bit of a time crunch, but that did not stop Joann and her team from doing what they do best! We had so many compliments on our entire wedding. Joann and her team absorbed all of the little drama and issues that come up on any wedding day, and never let me (the bride) feel nervous or stressed!!! My husband couldn't have been happier with how the entire planning and day of wedding turned out. We would not have done a single thing differently. If you are looking for a wedding planner to help you plan your entire wedding, or just the day of, What Dreams are Made of is a PERFECT choice. We are unbelievably impressed and happy that we found them and they were able to make our wedding day amazing. t is so hard to put everything I want to say about JoAnn and "WDaMO" in one review but I will do my best. JoAnn was there for me in a very exciting, but also challenging and stressful part of my life. The wedding was not the only thing on my mind - I had 2 family members pass away during our engagement and experienced a lot of anxiety with work. As a dual-military couple, my fiance` and I struggled against several deployment initiatives that got very close to postponing our wedding. Through all of this, JoAnn was not only a source of constant comfort and assurance on all wedding matters - she also became a very dear friend who consoled me in the loss of my family members and reassured me that everything would work out fine. Knowing the situation Charlie and I were in because of our military service, JoAnn paid special attention to choose flexible vendors who would honor our situation if a deployment caused our date to change. JoAnn was so easy to contact and so great about getting back to me quickly anytime I sent an email, text, or called. She never turns work off - she would call me at night on a weekend after I sent a text to make sure I didn't need anything else and she would always go to bat for me when potential vendors offered a price or contract she didn't think was fair. She also knows all the vendors in the area and only recommends the best - I took her suggestion for EVERY single vendor at my wedding (DJ, photographer, transportation etc.) and they were ALL perfect! I trust her taste and judgement more than my own! Although she NEVER advertised it, I know that JoAnn did a lot of extra work for me and Charlie at no additional cost because of her compassion for our situation and her genuine desire to make us happy and give us a phenomenal wedding. We are not local, and could NOT have done this without her. JoAnn is a special planner AND person and I am so excited to stay in touch, even after the wedding, because she is also an AMAZING friend :)

My wedding was In July of this year and what dreams are made of did an amazing job and I will be forever grateful for everything they did for me on my wedding day. From set up, to maintaining my schedule and making sure everything went the way it should have been on my special day, including clean up everything was on point. Joann was amazing, she planned, organized and choreographed my daughters wedding beyond my wildest dreams! Her connections with caters, rentals, and vendors was fantastic! Joann made a very stressful time wonderful. The wedding was not only exceptional for my daughter and me, but for all our guests. So many of our guests complemented Joann personally, and made a point of telling me how impressed they were with her skills! She is not only a brilliant organizer, and planner, but warm, lovable and has become a dear friend! You will not be disappointment!

I don't know what to say about Joanne and Karin. My Wedding day was absolutely perfect and I owe much of that to them. I'm sure that there were some small, maybe even large snafus that went on behind the scenes but the fact that neither I, nor my new husband knew a thing about them is a huge testament to how professional Joanne and her team were. We met about 3 times prior to the wedding to be sure that I was staying on track with my planning and Joanne recommended some amazing vendors that I ended up working with. She took care of all of the rentals and pretty much all contact with vendors a few weeks prior to the wedding. The thing that really made having event coordinators worth while was the morning after our wedding. When I went back out to the barn the next morning everything was pack up and sorted and put away and we had barely any packing up to do--an absolute god send! Karin was just there for everything I needed during the reception and I cannot thank her enough for that. If you are considering getting a wedding coordinator, you cannot go wrong with Joanne. She is worth her weight in gold!

Joann was my second set of eyes during my wedding planning - I live in michigan but my wedding was in nyack, ny (it was important for this day to be close to my family and friends). My reception and ceremony decor was beautifully done, and she made peace with the different vendors i had hired for my day. I really don't know what i would've done without joann's support and i'm more than satisfied on how my wedding day turned out to be!

Joanne was amazing to work with in planning our wedding. We had a lot of outside stressor and Joann was amazing in getting to a solution and assuring us that everything would be perfect and she was right! Everything was perfect and we couldn't have done it without joann!

JoAnn was very helpful with planning my wedding. I'm from New York and in the middle of the wedding planning process we moved to Pittsburgh. It was invaluable to have JoAnn in Upstate new york where we planned the wedding. She help us find wonderful vendors who worked with my vision collaboratively. She sourced all the little things I wanted for my wedding like pumpkins for carving the day before and AMAZING jam for my guests wedding presents. When our Venue was giving us problems with the contract she worked with them to sort out all the issues and kept me from having to stress about it. She kept us from having to pay for alcohol for an extra 50 guests who RSVPed no. On the day of the Wedding (and the day before) she worked for hours with her team setting everything up just right. I had a very specific vision with lots and she and CherryBrandy Designs executed it perfectly. Including incorporating 80 gold candle sticks my mother had bought into the centerpieces, and dealign with a Skid of glass I had delivered to her house. She helped us make some unplanned events happen (like when my mother in-law decided after my father daughter dance that she also wanted a mother son dance). It's been a week since the wedding and everyone who went has been telling me what a magical wedding it was. I couldn't have done it without JoAnn.

JoAnn and her team were absolutely amazing all throughout the planning process and the day of my wedding. Within days of finding JoAnn, she found us an amazing wedding photographer with whom she was also able to arrange an engagement shoot for us on very short notice, a rabbi, and an impeccable caterer, while keeping our budget and style in mind. JoAnn always made herself available and did a wonderful job assuring me and my now husband from afar (we live in TX), and more importantly, my mom, of all the details, and that everything would work out perfectly. And it certainly did, thanks to her knowledge and top-notch management approach. In addition to being a stellar wedding planner, JoAnn is a genuine, kind person who wants the best for everyone and I'm proud to say that she's become a good friend of mine and my mom's. I highly recommend JoAnn to those looking to plan a wedding or any type of party, as you will not be disappointed; JoAnn's a blast to work with!

JoAnn and WDAMO are the BEST!! We live in NC and our wedding was in NY. We knew what venue we wanted but had no idea how to book vendors since we couldn't meet with any in person. JoAnn hooked us up and got us amazing deals with all of the best vendors. She made herself available 24/7 and allowed us to reach her any way WE wanted - call, text, email, whatever. You can definitely tell how long she's been in the industry - she is extremely knowledgeable on all things wedding related. Any question we had, she answered. She took out a lot of the stress we would have felt from having a destination wedding. On the day of our wedding, we forgot to give JoAnn our final payment for the ceremony musicians, but didn't realize it until after the ceremony when we were doing our receiving line. JoAnn took care of our balance herself and we squared up with her the next day. Lastly - and this is the most important - my Grandmother did not feel well enough to come to the wedding, but only lives 5 minutes from our venue. JoAnn's assistant Lauren drove us and one of the photographers to my Grandmother's house before the reception started so my Gram could see me in my dress. That was one of the most special moments of our day, and it would not have happened if it weren't for What Dreams Are Made Of. Every step of the way, JoAnn let me know if we were on track with planning and assured me that everything was going smoothly. We jumped on a phone call every 2 weeks for the last two months. If there were any other hiccups, we weren't aware of them because she and her assistant had everything under control! JoAnn is seriously the best planner we ever could have hired. You get an insane amount of quality work for a really reasonable price (she was the least expensive of the 5 planners we interviewed before hiring her). We would HIGHLY recommend What Dreams Are Made Of!!

When our initial wedding venue went terribly wrong, Joann found us a venue that was everything we wanted and more. Best wedding ever!

I hired JoAnn and her team in March of 2015 with the plan to have a wedding in 7 months. I was super nervous that it wouldnt be enough time to accomplish everything in time. All of my fears were quickly swept aside the minute JoAnn took over. She had me a DJ, photographer, videographer, venue and florist, within a few weeks! And not only was she able to book these vendors quickly and efficiently, but she booked me the best of the best within my budget. She really got to know me and the groom on a personal level and was able to know exactly what we wanted our day to look and feel like. She made sure that everything was getting done on time and when it came to the day of, my day was carefree and stressless! She handled everything with ease and confidence! Having JoAnn be our wedding planner was the best decision I have ever made!

JoAnn was an absolute pleasure to work with! We hired her about 3 months into our wedding planning, once we had already secured a location and date and were in the madness of finding the rest of our vendors. We went for the full planning package, which was wonderful because she really did help from start to finish and even beyond the day of the wedding. As a Type A personality bride, JoAnn served as a project manager for the wedding and was willing to work on any and everything - allowing me to focus on the fun elements of the planning. We were an out of state couple planning a multicultural wedding, having JoAnn's expertise and professional network at our disposal was a big help and made it easy to finalize decisions. Her team is equally dedicated, experienced, and more than willing to go above and beyond to make their client happy. Through the 9 months of working with JoAnn and her team, I never felt like my wedding wasn't a priority or that she had a personal interest in what's best for us as a couple. My family and I are so happy that we chose JoAnn and will continue our friendship with her past the wedding!

We decided half way through planning to hire a coordinator. We searched high and low and found the best, JoAnn!! It was the best decision we made. She was a great support system and our day was perfect.

JoAnn and her team did a phenomenal job coordinating all vendors and service providers, reviewing contracts for accuracy, and keeping our budget in mind. Start the process with JoAnn early and often to ensure you have no issues last minute. On the wedding day, the team executed very nicely and allowed us to sit back and take in the moment while not having to worry about the details. JoAnn helped us plan a beautiful outdoor wedding - the first of its kind at our selected venue. Since we live in Europe we required a lot of support during the whole planning process of almost two years. On the two occasions we were in the US before the wedding, she made time to meet us several times (also on short notice) and travelled long distances to accommodate each and every one of our wishes. JoAnn was always there for us from the selection of the venue, to finding hair & make-up artists/DJs/photographers/rentals/bakers/..., up to the big day where she and her team made sure everything was set up on time and ran smoothly. We can wholeheartedly recommend What Dreams Are Make Of to every bride- and groom-to-be even (or especially) if you're not after a cookie-cutter wedding but envision something more unique and thus planning-intensive. JoAnn will have your back from beginning to end.

When I first spoke with JoAnn she told me that on our wedding day, she would handle any problems that came up and that her job was to make sure we didn't know when anything went wrong so we could just enjoy our day. We hired her as our coordinator for this reason. This was not the case at all. Leading up to our wedding, JoAnn was great, she appeared capable , introduced herself to vendors and made all sorts of promises of things running smoothly. The day of our wedding, we had a quick run through of the ceremony. She didn't have a copy of the ceremony order, so she claimed she didn't know what was going on --an important aspect to miss considering she asks for itemized lists of flower arrangements and rentals. My fiancé and I were running around wrangling relatives and friends (in heels!) while JoAnn stood around and complained about my finance's family being too slow. Similarly, she was of no assistance getting the families together for pre-ceremony photos. I had to do this and almost lost my voice yelling for our huge family to take their places. Then, JoAnn proceeded to complain to us about our officiant --that she was too slow and took too much time to do everything. Then, she complained that guests weren't sitting in the correct places for the reception. Then, JoAnn complained to my mother about the DJ's sound guy suspiciously standing close to the gifts (he was a very nice person and had no ill will). Yet, she did nothing to solve any of these problems. She just made us aware of all the problems and stressed us out. She was so unpleasant toward our DJ, who was also a close friend, that he just started to ask us questions about the reception. Then, throughout the evening as I went to change from heels to flats, I found JoAnn just sitting in the back room doing nothing. Meanwhile, my groom and my mother were having to track down the catering staff to ask for water to be served to our guests --JoAnn was nowhere to be foundIn JoAnn's absence from our party, our wedding cake was served. We had previously expressed to JoAnn the importance of us getting left over cake, even if it was just one slice. My groom and I didn't have a chance to eat our slices that were placed at our table. We also spotted a whole tray of unserved cake slices in a back room. At the end of the night, JoAnn said there was no cake left. I assume that the slices we didn't eat from our table were thrown away. Due to the importance we stressed about the cake, I feel that JoAnn should have monitored this more closely. The few things JoAnn actually did, she did well. She set up our escort cards, guest book and signs nicely. She packed up all of those things at the end of the night. Her assistant, Karen, was wonderful and attentive. In the end we were was able to enjoy our special day, but JoAnn created a negative energy that even our guests were noticing and commenting on and made an already nerve racking experience even more stressful.

JoAnn and her team were phenomenal! We had a tricky family situation (both my and my now husband's parents are divorced) and JoAnn did an amazing job helping us navigate all of the intricacies of the wedding planning process. She thought of every detail and did an outstanding job checking in to see if I had any questions and making herself available when I did have questions throughout the whole process. I interviewed other wedding planners and she began calling vendors before we hired her. I was so impressed with her quality of work. I am so grateful for her time and all that she did to help make our wedding the most wonderful day! Thank you, JoAnn!!!!

Planning a wedding is overwhelming. I quickly realized that there was no way I'd be able to handle my day of coordination myself. I needed professional help to pull of an event that involved 3 different locations (hotel, church & reception venues) and transportation! I was looking for someone to give me peace of mind that all the little details would be taken care of. That's where JoAnn and her team came in. From our initial conversations, I felt at ease that JoAnn and her team. She was very flexible - even willing to have planning conversations at 10pm since my schedule was so hectic. She visited my florist and did a walk through of our reception site a few weeks before our wedding and helped me plan a day of schedule to keep everyone on time. On the day of our wedding, while I was getting hair and makeup done, she made sure to keep me updated via text and pictures so I knew that everything at my reception venue would be perfect when guests arrived. When guests were still entering our church when I arrived, she made sure everyone was seated before I entered. When I accidentally left a check for our band at my hotel, one of her team members drove the 45 minute round trip to collect it, instead of a family member. There's really no price for that kind of peace of mind. Thank you JoAnn for making our day go so smoothly!

Joann was great from the first time I spoke to her on the phone. We live in FL and were planning our wedding in Poughkeepsie NY. She put my mind at ease with every call, email and text. We thought we had a lot of the planning done when we brought her into the loop. We were very wrong. There were so many little details that needed to be handled and she did all of it. We had so much fun on our wedding day, and Joann handled all of the issues so we didn't have to.

We hired JoAnne before we even had a vision for our wedding. We had no clue what/where we wanted. After about 4 meetings, and looking at lots of photos and magazines, we decided to do it on our own property. She brought a tent company to look at the property to see if we could do it there. We could!!! and after that, she just took over and made it happen. We had many great suggestions from her and everything went great. We really got to enjoy some time before the wedding because she handled all of the little annoying nonsense. We were worried about rain and although she wouldn't tell us what, she did have a plan B in place. Of course it didn't rain, and she says that it doesn't rain on her weddings. We still talk about our wedding daily. It was the best day of our married life.

We were very happy with the services provided by What Dreams Are Made Of. Our black tie, country club wedding was a total success thanks to the dynamic coordination team.

We interviewed so many planners. Choosing Joann was the best decision. She's wonderful and so are her assistants. We had a big barn wedding and needed so much help. She recommended her favorite vendors and they were all great. It felt good to know that I was able to completely trust all of them. I was so happy with her service.

JoAnn was an incredible & invaluable person to have on our team of vendors for our May 31, 2014 wedding. Up front, please know that I did not directly hire her wedding planning services through "What Dreams Are Made Of...". I had booked a wedding chapel (that is sadly no longer open for business) that was using JoAnn as their chapel coordinator. The Chapel package & contract included JoAnn's services for coordination with vendors and some wedding planning. While the contract indicated that she would provide a certain amount of services, she went above & beyond what was set out in the contract. Dan & I were ahead of the game, as we had already decided on the venue. JoAnn gave us suggestions for caterers, rentals, rehearsal dinner, DJ, and flowers. We had plenty of discussions & she was available to answer my questions by telephone, E-mail & in person. I loved our meetings over coffee/tea. She gave suggestions, listened to me gripe about various issues/friends/relatives (then she helped me chill out), gave ideas for setup and decoration and let me know if she thought someone was charging me a fair price. If I had forgotten to pick up an item of decoration, she'd go and pick it up for me! When the rental Chupah was delivered on the wedding day and not up to par, she set out (on the day of the wedding no less) and acquired another one. She made sure the entire day ran smoothly and Heidi was great, too. I am an independent person, so I was seeking JoAnn's advice/assistance, but I made all the choices. However, if you're a person that wants someone to make the decisions for you and plan it all out and execute it (i.e., if you are an out of town bride), I know she's done that and done it well. She is there for whatever your needs are. She was there for me all the way, for whatever I wanted, not being intrusive, but reminding me of what needed to be done. She knows her clients and how much or how little guidance they need. I was local and am very hands on and a bit of a perfectionist. JoAnn and I worked together wonderfully. She got a great read on me and my fiancé and helped me make a plan accordingly. She helped me flesh out my vision for my dream wedding and then she made it come true. Thank you, JoAnn & Heidi

JoAnn and her team were essential in creating the perfect wedding day for my husband and I. She was organized, detail-oriented and helped my vision come to life. She helped me plan every little detail from caterers to finding the perfect centerpieces. JoAnn made herself available at any time of day and eliminated the stress of planning a wedding from out of state! I knew I connected with JoAnn from the first time we spoke and she told me that she used to live on my street in Yonkers when she lived there. After reminscing about italian ices from Ana Artuso's and catching up on the neighborhood, we got right down to business. JoAnn was insightful and knowledgeable about the industry. She first listened to what we envisioned for our wedding, took ample notes, and then from there on worked to ensure that we got exactly what we hoped for. A seasoned wedding planner, JoAnn and her team knew all of the other vendors we were working with for our wedding. Her stellar reputation within the "wedding planning world" allowed for us to fairly negotiate contracts with other vendors. We had all major vendors booked 6-8 months before our wedding date, which was a major relief to us. As the wedding date approached, JoAnn's easy-going and friendly personality really kicked in. As many of you may know, planning a wedding can be stressful and tense from time to time, but JoAnn was excellent at managing the personalities and atitudes that were sure to arise here and there. In many ways she was much more than a planner, as she was always available to vent to, or even help you organize your thoughts to help you make a decision. I could probably keep going, but to keep it short--hiring a planner was the best decision we made second to getting married. Hiring JoAnn and What Dreams May Come Bridal Consultants was the italian icy on the wedding cake.

We were living in TX & LA and planning a barn wedding in the hudson valley. We knew we wouldn't be able to plan our wedding from so far away. We needed a planner that would listen to our vision and carry it out. Joann had phenomenal reviews and was a Knot Best Of Weddings winner. We contacted her, and just fell in love with her. Our wedding was amazing. Joann and her team handled everything. We had a rain storm right before the ceremony and they held up the ceremony until it passed so we were still able to have our outdoor ceremony. We will always have fond memories of our wedding day.

As our week-of coordinator, JoAnn and her team were absolutely amazing to work with leading up to our big day. JoAnn answered every email, question, and request promptly and efficiently. She also did everything in her power to keep the costs within our budget while still achieving everything we envisioned. Her strong relationships with other local vendors even helped us score an affordable and excellent DJ. Most importantly, she took all of our various ideas for the reception, guestbook and place cards and completely nailed the set up. The venue was exactly how I envisioned it - absolutely perfect. We didn't have to worry about a thing. JoAnn is wonderful!

We hired JoAnn as of week-of-coordinator, but she did much more then just help us the week of our wedding. She was always available to answer our questions, look over contracts and lend advice throughout the wedding planning process. Out of all the vendors we worked with, JoAnn was the quickest at getting back to us -- our e-mails and phone calls were always answered immediately. I decided not to plan my own wedding, because after watching all the wedding shows and witnessing how much joy is traded for stress, I opted to pay someone to be stressed for me. My fiancee and I did our homework; we researched planners and conducted interviews. We hired a woman who was highly reputable and who appeared to be the perfect fit. Unfortunately, she disappeared less than two weeks before our wedding, leaving my fiancee and I without major components completed, such as tent rentals, dishes, tables, linens, flowers, and transportation to and from the wedding site. This is when I met JoAnn and her dedicated staff. They came in with less than two weeks to orchestrate an outdoor wedding and design all the flowers, and THEY DID IT. Flawlessly. With grace, professionalism, humor, and the utmost confidence. Their team is like a well-oiled machine. They take pride on their craft, and not once did I ever feel that my most precious day was a dollar sign to anyone associated with their company. They were a pleasure to work with; my only regret is that I didn't have the pleasure of their company and expertise for the entire year prior to my wedding. Simply perfect.

My family and I thought we could do all of the planning ourself. We were about 3 months into it and the only thing we were successful in was arguing. A friend of mine suggested we seek the help of a professional. I interviewed 7 planners before meeting with JoAnn. From the moment I sat down with her, I felt calm and happy. She told me that all I had to worry about was to have fun and look beautiful. From that moment on, no more arguing! She made all of it fun. From our first meeting to our 1000 phone calls and the day of EVERY single experience was incredible. This day was unforgettable. We had over 500 guest 20 entertainment vendors, 4 interactive rooms at Villa Borghese, a 9 foot wedding cake and a 28 person wedding party... each step was coordinated perfectly.
