We decided to go with Wheelhouse's simpler drop-off catering option which met our needs and budget. Jake interviewed us about our food preferences and proposed an incredible creative menu with local, seasonal produce that also met the dietary needs of our guests. Wheelhouse made every step of the process clear and easy, keeping us on schedule, reaching out to schedule calls, and handling all of the details with great care. They even gave us great advice on local rental companies, checked our rental item order, and advised us on bartending and other needs we weren't even hiring them for to help make our event a success. Truly above and beyond! The day of the wedding Wheelhouse delivered everything exactly as planned. The food exceeded our high expectations; beautiful mezze board apps, caprese with fresh local tomatoes, braised short ribs, slow roast salmon, vegetarian pasta, broccolini with fried garlic, old bay smashed potatoes, and fresh baked bread. All of the flavors and details were so well balanced and artful from the pepita sauce on the salmon, preserved lemon in the creamy vegetarian pasta, and the fresh baked bread with herbed butter. Many guests complimented us on how delicious the food was, including one of our guests who is a well-known food writer and editor in Boston. We are so happy that we chose Wheelhouse for our wedding and highly recommend their catering services!

Guests are still reaching out with comments like: “This is the best chicken I’ve had in my entire life.” “I’ve never had food this good at a wedding.” “It felt like dining at a high-end restaurant, not just wedding food.” “Everything tasted so fresh and homegrown.” “The carrot tostadas were to DIE for!” Every dish was vibrant, flavorful, and beautifully prepared — from the crisp, farm-fresh salad to the family-style entrées. Wheelhouse’s thoughtful touches, like the shared serving style and the printed “food philosophy,” made the meal feel warm, intentional, and memorable. On top of it all, Cassie and her staff went above and beyond to take care of us — even helping me and my groomsmen with a quick outfit change after dinner and thoughtfully packing up desserts and pasta for us to enjoy later. Those little things made us feel so cared for. Wheelhouse made our wedding meal unforgettable, and we cannot recommend them highly enough. omment - hands down the most delicious food they've ever had at a wedding. Actually, forget the wedding part - it was simply just a delicious food experience. We think the "tomato galette" might become famous after Saturday. The donuts!!! But all the other desserts too - just amazing. Even the signage - just perfect! I'm highlighting things, but it was quite literally everything. The servers were amazing and could not have been more professional. Zofia managed the event and everything leading up to it and did everything to make sure it was all perfectly executed. Both Zofia and Jake not only lived up to our expectations, but also exceeded them. From start (a year ago) to finish they both were an absolute pleasure to work with. We just knew we were in good hands. They truly made the day unforgettable.

They were the height of professionalism and took all of the food allergies very seriously and made sure every guest had a dish they could eat. During the actual wedding dinner, the food was absolutely amazing!! We got so many compliments on the food. They also designed special cocktails for us which were a huge hit. I had narrowed down my search to a few and Wheelhouse stood out to me with both fair prices, great communication, and I really felt like they cared. Better yet they didn't upcharge me for it, which is something the GF community is sadly more than use to. Our custom dishes were delicious, we even had a Nasi Lemak which is a traditional Malaysian dish (where my husband is from). My husband was very impressed at our tasting as were the other Malaysian guests at our wedding. They clearly did their research! Our wedding had many guests with their own allergies including dairy, walnuts, peanuts, garlic, onions, and so much more. I had one guest who couldn't have a single dish we designed and they called ahead of time to custom make a dish that was safe for them that they would enjoy! Every single guest was spoken too by the staff and was individually brought out their plates. I was told by so many people how great, cared for, and safe they felt eating their food. As someone who has lots of anxiety around food I absolutely loved hearing that. Wheelhouse was great from start to finish. Designing the menu, the tasting, the logistics, the food, the service and clean up. They truly went above and beyond. I couldn't dream of a better caterer for my wedding.

I was particularly impressed by how accommodating they were for our guests with food restrictions, ensuring that they had options for the day. The staff even personally checked in with these guests throughout the night to ensure they knew which foods were safe and that they were having a good meal experience! They also made sure great grandma was brought a plate by the staff rather than having her or another guest go through the buffet line for her, a small accommodation that meant the world to us! They gave us enough say to make it feel curated and special to us with foods that we enjoy, while still putting their expertise and talent into the dishes they suggested. The food was truly SPECTACULAR. So many of our guests said they had never had better food at a wedding and many tables requested second platters of things (particularly the corn and cherry tomato risotto!!). We also loved the ability to do family style dinner and both passed and stationary apps (which was a gorgeous mezze board) to help with the flow of the cocktail hour. The staff was also really organized and so easy to work with. We mostly worked with Stephanie (and then Slyvana) and they were organized, attentive, and super clear about the point of each meeting, when we needed to decide certain things, and what to expect on the night of so everyone was on the same page and there were no surprises. They have also worked with Quonquont quite a bit and were very comfortable communicating with them separately and organizing various roles throughout the evening. We also had a fair amount of nut allergies at our wedding and those guests felt very accommodated, and most importantly, safe to feast and enjoy the food! We could not have imagined a better dining experience for our wedding and now I am trying to think of another event I can host in Western MA so I can feast on their delicious food again soon :).

On our wedding day, they worked so well with all of the other vendors to make our day go smoothy. Bartending was superb with an amazing selection of drinks and cocktails with the best service. The food was delicious, everyone still is talking about the prime rib and chicken dishes. They even went out of their way to dress up our cake with greenery we brought to make it look exactly as I envisioned. I love their business model, being locally sourced and in season, so their menus are never the same. If you want to feel extra special and fancy, while down-to-earth at the same time, this is the caterer for you! I can't recommend Wheelhouse enough!!

They dropped off food for our welcome dinner and catered the wedding reception dinner. They were incredibly communicative and organized. After hiring them, we had zero concerns about logistics of the service or food. I knew we were in good hands! They were also incredibly flexible and were able to accommodate us on our new date when we had to reschedule from July 2020 to July 2021 due to the pandemic. We first spoke with Jake to get to know them, and he answered all of our questions and provided multiple menu options for our welcome dinner and reception appetizers and meal. After learning our preferences, he coordinated with the kitchen to create the menu options based on what was in season. He was very kind and patient as we requested to see a few different menu options early on. We had a two-month out and a one-month out phone call with Stephanie to confirm the menu and numbers, etc. Once Jake knew she’d be the one on-site for the weekend of the wedding, we then worked directly with her. We had made the plan for our menu in 2020, and even when they had to accommodate some new dietary restrictions in 2021 they were incredibly flexible, even with less than two months until the wedding. After our check-in calls, Stephanie would send a detailed summary, including the action steps for both her and I so I could easily track what needed to get done. This was immensely helpful!! Stephanie also helped me coordinate with Florence Pie Bar for pies to be dropped off to the Wheelhouse kitchen so I could surprise my husband with those, in addition to the Flayvors of Cook Farm ice cream we had chosen for dessert through Wheelhouse. We did a lot of research before choosing a caterer, and we feel we got the absolute best food and the kindest, most professional service for a great price. Our guests raved about the food, and agreed that the people we worked with and the service was amazing! We feel so lucky to have worked with Jake, Stephanie, and the rest of the Wheelhouse crew, and would jump at the chance to work with them again. We hope to attend one of their farm dinners at some point too!

When some of our guests had very restrictive diets, they were happy to oblige and make unique plates just for them. Day of the wedding the food was outstanding and the portions were perfect. No microscope plates here! And the real seal of quality for me: the people were so kind. Every sever and cook was nice and welcoming to both me and my guests. I would use Wheelhouse again at the drop of a hat.

The food was delicious - everything from the Spanish tortilla appetizers, to the main courses, and especially the churros for dessert! We’ve had a number of our guests rave about the food served at our winter wedding, too. No doubt, the best decision we made for our big day!

I still have people telling me it was the best!!
