From start to finish our experience was beyond easy! They really take care of everything and make your vision a reality. The food was delicious, the staff was polite and kind, our guests had such good feedback about everything! From the menu planning to the execution, we felt we were in good hands and they did not disappoint. I still think about that roasted salmon and risotto from our wedding and hope to go to a tasting event one day to have another bite!

Wheelhouse was the ideal caterer for our wedding: the food was delicious, the service phenomenal, and the communication was absolutely perfect. We worked with Cassie and Stephanie and I can’t say enough good things about working with both of them. After every call, I felt prepared for the next step and confident about our decision to work together. We wanted to create a unique menu that included some of our favorite foods (everything from local cheeses, to oysters, to duck!) and Wheelhouse hit it out of the park. So many people came up to us to compliment the food – one vegetarian guest said her selection was the best she has had at a wedding! I also really appreciated that Wheelhouse made sure we ate – I feel so lucky that I was actually able to enjoy every appetizer and entrée we served at our wedding. Thank you, Wheelhouse!

We are so grateful we found Wheelhouse for our rehearsal dinner. They executed our vision perfectly from the food menu to the table scape. Jake and Cassie were wonderful to work with throughout the whole experience. They were timely with their responses, great communicators, extremely organized and attentive to detail, and assisted us throughout the process to ensure stress free planning. The food was PHENOMENAL and we received so many compliments from our guests. I cannot say enough good things about this catering team and their food. I would use them for every event if I had the choice!

We had the pleasure of working with Wheelhouse for our wedding, and from start to finish, they were absolutely tremendous. Wheelhouse catering was one of our best hires for our wedding. I am gluten free and finding a caterer that would do a 100% gluten free wedding was something at the top of my list. I had narrowed down my search to a few and Wheelhouse stood out to me with both fair prices, great communication, and I really felt like they cared. Better yet they didn't upcharge me for it, which is something the GF community is sadly more than use to. Our custom dishes were delicious, we even had a Nasi Lemak which is a traditional Malaysian dish (where my husband is from). My husband was very impressed at our tasting as were the other Malaysian guests at our wedding. They clearly did their research! Our wedding had many guests with their own allergies including dairy, walnuts, peanuts, garlic, onions, and so much more. I had one guest who couldn't have a single dish we designed and they called ahead of time to custom make a dish that was safe for them that they would enjoy! Every single guest was spoken too by the staff and was individually brought out their plates. I was told by so many people how great, cared for, and safe they felt eating their food. As someone who has lots of anxiety around food I absolutely loved hearing that. Wheelhouse was great from start to finish. Designing the menu, the tasting, the logistics, the food, the service and clean up. They truly went above and beyond. I couldn't dream of a better caterer for my wedding.

We worked with Wheelhouse for our wedding in October and cannot say enough positive things about them!! From day 1 Stephanie was super communicative, easy to work with and flexible - she and the team accommodated multiple menu changes and day-of updates all the way to the month before the wedding. But above all, the food and service were STELLAR. We put together a seasonally-focused menu with the perfect fall dishes to compliment our beautiful surroundings, and everything was fresh, unique and delicious - we still have guests bringing up how incredible the short ribs were! On top of that, the serving staff and bartenders were super friendly and pleasant. Overall we could not have been happier and will recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great caterer!

We had an amazing experience with Wheelhouse for our wedding at the Montague Retreat Center in October! The food was absolutely amazing, and our guests are still raving about it two months later! They are so detail-oriented and communicative in the menu and meal service planning for the wedding day. I was particularly impressed by how accommodating they were for our guests with food restrictions, ensuring that they had options for the day. The staff even personally checked in with these guests throughout the night to ensure they knew which foods were safe and that they were having a good meal experience! They also made sure great grandma was brought a plate by the staff rather than having her or another guest go through the buffet line for her, a small accommodation that meant the world to us! Highly recommend for the amazing food and a thoughtful, personal meal service experience!

The Wheelhouse catered our wedding at Valley View Farm in August. Wheelhouse and VVF went above and beyond to make every detail of our special day absolutely exceptional. Our guests are STILL talking about the food and drinks served throughout the night. Wheelhouse paid attention to the smallest of details, catered to our foodie needs and just created all around delicious and unique food. Alex, Stephanie and our VVF planner Shannon were dedicated to bringing our wedding day vision to life, and that is exactly what they did. I wish we could relive our day a million times over again!

The Wheelhouse team catered our wedding at Valley View Farm, and we cannot say enough about the food itself, as well as the menu planning process. Many of our guests have told us it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Stephanie helped us put together a custom menu that was catered completely to our and our guests' tastes, providing us with suggestions and making sure every detail was to our liking. They truly want to make your wedding menu special for you, and they source the best fresh, local ingredients. We can't wait to go back to visit Valley View Farm to taste some more of the incredible food and see the team again! We cannot say enough about them and our experience.

Valley View far exceeded our expectations. We are forever grateful to every single person who was apart of making our special day magical. Just to mention a few - Shannon, Maggie, Alex, Thaddeus - and so many more that I am probably forgetting! The day of our wedding was stress and worry free because of the hard work and dedication from this amazing team. The morning after, all of our decor was packed into my car, and we didn’t have to lift a finger to clean, organize, or stress over clean up. It was the perfect venue and the perfect team. We could not recommend this beautiful venue enough.

I am still dreaming about our magical wedding dinner with Wheelhouse farm. My wife and I met in the restaurant industry, and the food and hospitality were extremely important to us for our wedding day. Wheelhouse made all of our dreams come true and totally wowed our discerning guests. The communication with Stephanie and Sylvana was so warm and professional from start to finish, and we could tell we were in experienced hands. We wanted our dinner out in the meadow behind our home, which is a logistically complicated undertaking and the team perfectly executed our vision. The entire team was professional, kind, and went above and beyond to accommodate our guests. We felt so incredibly lucky to have them for our wedding and we can't recommend them more highly.

We got married almost 2 months ago and had the best experience working with Alex and Stephanie at Wheelhouse! The process was so personal, the food at our wedding was important to us. We wanted to incorporate dishes that gave a nod to my Vietnamese culture and Wheelhouse knocked it out of the park with the spring rolls and duck dishes! Everything we had was phenomenal, I said the next day and stand by it, my biggest regret from the day was not eating more and more!! Alex made sure we had more than enough and got to try everything but I could’ve eaten that food for days to come and not gotten sick of it! Our guests came up to us saying it was by far the best wedding food they’d ever had, we couldn’t be happier with Wheelhouse and their entire staff!!

We literally chose our wedding location / area so that we could have Wheelhouse cater our meal after having a fantastic experience with them at a graduation party many years prior. And they delivered above and beyond our expectations!! The menu planning process was a breeze. They gave us enough say to make it feel curated and special to us with foods that we enjoy, while still putting their expertise and talent into the dishes they suggested. The food was truly SPECTACULAR. So many of our guests said they had never had better food at a wedding and many tables requested second platters of things (particularly the corn and cherry tomato risotto!!). We also loved the ability to do family style dinner and both passed and stationary apps (which was a gorgeous mezze board) to help with the flow of the cocktail hour. The staff was also really organized and so easy to work with. We mostly worked with Stephanie (and then Slyvana) and they were organized, attentive, and super clear about the point of each meeting, when we needed to decide certain things, and what to expect on the night of so everyone was on the same page and there were no surprises. They have also worked with Quonquont quite a bit and were very comfortable communicating with them separately and organizing various roles throughout the evening. We also had a fair amount of nut allergies at our wedding and those guests felt very accommodated, and most importantly, safe to feast and enjoy the food! We could not have imagined a better dining experience for our wedding and now I am trying to think of another event I can host in Western MA so I can feast on their delicious food again soon :).

Wheelhouse catered a large family gathering in my home. From the minute I first made contact with the staff until the last plate was cleaned, the only word to describe the experience is perfection. Incredible professionalism, attention to detail, personalized service, and absolutely delicious food. I can’t recommend it enough. Thank you Wheelhouse for making our family event truly special.

My husband and I got married at Montague Retreat Center this fall and we were lucky enough to have Wheelhouse as the exclusive caterer for our wedding day. We attended a spring tasting event and fell in love with both the food we were served and the people serving us. Everyone from beginning to end worked with us to establish a menu and a feel for our wedding day/reception that fit us as a couple perfectly. Stephanie and Dakota were gems to communicate with and very responsive and helpful-giving advice about napkin colors and folds to help lessen the stress of decision making. On our wedding day, they worked so well with all of the other vendors to make our day go smoothy. Bartending was superb with an amazing selection of drinks and cocktails with the best service. The food was delicious, everyone still is talking about the prime rib and chicken dishes. They even went out of their way to dress up our cake with greenery we brought to make it look exactly as I envisioned. I love their business model, being locally sourced and in season, so their menus are never the same. If you want to feel extra special and fancy, while down-to-earth at the same time, this is the caterer for you! I can't recommend Wheelhouse enough!!

They were so helpful in narrowing down our menu, giving us a variety of options for all courses of the meal. The food was delicious, from the appetizers to the dessert. Everything is locally sourced also! The entire staff was extremely helpful during our wedding weekend with any tasks that needed assistance. We would highly recommend catering through Wheelhouse in the future. They made our big day stress free and we could not be happier with how things went!

We couldn't recommend a catering company anymore. Wheelhouse created the most amazing farm-to-table menu I've ever had. Every single wedding guest mentioned how amazing their food is, at a wedding that's unheard of. Every aspect of the menu was unique, we were able to edit anything we felt was necessary. My husband and I tried all three menu items, beef, chicken and vegetable risotto, we couldn't pick a favorite. We highly recommend Wheelhouse Catering for anytime you want to have the best meal ever!

We'd hire Wheelhouse again in a heartbeat and HIGHLY recommend these people and their food! We hired Wheelhouse Farm to cater our wedding weekend in July 2021. Working with Wheelhouse, and Stephanie and Jake in particular, was an absolute pleasure! Their food was locally sourced, creative and absolutely delicious. They dropped off food for our welcome dinner and catered the wedding reception dinner. They were incredibly communicative and organized. After hiring them, we had zero concerns about logistics of the service or food. I knew we were in good hands! They were also incredibly flexible and were able to accommodate us on our new date when we had to reschedule from July 2020 to July 2021 due to the pandemic. We first spoke with Jake to get to know them, and he answered all of our questions and provided multiple menu options for our welcome dinner and reception appetizers and meal. After learning our preferences, he coordinated with the kitchen to create the menu options based on what was in season. He was very kind and patient as we requested to see a few different menu options early on. We had a two-month out and a one-month out phone call with Stephanie to confirm the menu and numbers, etc. Once Jake knew she’d be the one on-site for the weekend of the wedding, we then worked directly with her. We had made the plan for our menu in 2020, and even when they had to accommodate some new dietary restrictions in 2021 they were incredibly flexible, even with less than two months until the wedding. After our check-in calls, Stephanie would send a detailed summary, including the action steps for both her and I so I could easily track what needed to get done. This was immensely helpful!! Stephanie also helped me coordinate with Florence Pie Bar for pies to be dropped off to the Wheelhouse kitchen so I could surprise my husband with those, in addition to the Flayvors of Cook Farm ice cream we had chosen for dessert through Wheelhouse. We did a lot of research before choosing a caterer, and we feel we got the absolute best food and the kindest, most professional service for a great price. Our guests raved about the food, and agreed that the people we worked with and the service was amazing! We feel so lucky to have worked with Jake, Stephanie, and the rest of the Wheelhouse crew, and would jump at the chance to work with them again. We hope to attend one of their farm dinners at some point too!

Choose this caterer. I have never had such an incredible experience with a caterer before. Not only did they design the entire menu around my wife's and my flavor preferences, but they were incredibly kind, professional, and timely. We knew the deadlines for everything well in advance and when issues came up they were ready to help. When some of our guests had very restrictive diets, they were happy to oblige and make unique plates just for them. Day of the wedding the food was outstanding and the portions were perfect. No microscope plates here! And the real seal of quality for me: the people were so kind. Every sever and cook was nice and welcoming to both me and my guests. I would use Wheelhouse again at the drop of a hat.

We are so grateful we had Wheelhouse on our team for our wedding! Every person we worked with along the way was nothing short of incredible. My husband and I both have severe food allergies, and our main goal for the wedding day was not to worry about what we were eating. Wheelhouse accommodated our allergies (and other guests' needs) without hesitation and made us feel so cared for. This allowed us to have a totally stress-free food experience on our big day. It was truly special and we'll never forget it :) The staff was so attentive and checked in with us throughout the planning process to make sure we were covering all the bases. We even chose to do all compostable dishware, which was something we hadn't seen offered anywhere else. Wheelhouse was also super supportive of our own ideas and worked with us to create the menu of our dreams that incorporated both elegance and playfulness (fancy mac 'n cheese and late night popcorn!!). We've also heard from most of our guests about the wedding and the first thing pretty much everyone raves about has been the food and the Wheelhouse staff. The guests were just delighted and couldn't believe how fresh everything tasted. Working with Wheelhouse was truly a flawless experience. Don't hesitate!!

Wheelhouse was amazing!!! They catered to all of our meal requests for our wedding, were so accommodating, and everyone LOVED the food! We have some chefs in our family and food snobs (don't tell them I said that) and they absolutely loved the food and the experience they helped to create for our wedding. Wheelhouse was the first we chose and it was the easiest and best decision we made throughout our wedding planning process! Stephanie and Emma were a delight to work with. Both were super responsive, easy to work with - and most of all - creative when it came to incorporating the Spanish flare we were so desperately seeking! My wife, a native Spaniard, was so thrilled to have found a caterer who was so willing to work with us and come up with a menu that perfectly blended Spanish cuisine with locally sourced ingredients. The food was delicious - everything from the Spanish tortilla appetizers, to the main courses, and especially the churros for dessert! We’ve had a number of our guests rave about the food served at our winter wedding, too. No doubt, the best decision we made for our big day!

Wheelhouse was absolutely fabulous to work with. When they heard my wife was gluten free, and many of our guests were vegan, they created a menu perfectly catered to our dietary restrictions. My wife was able to eat anything on the menu, and our vegan guests were very happy with their menu option as well. We worked with Stephanie throughout our planning process (which ended up being 3 years long due to the pandemic), and then we worked with Dakota most closely in the last couple months before our day. Both were excellent to work with, very responsive, and very kind and helpful. On our day, Dakota and the rest of the stuff blended right in to our group and helped make our day so special. Our meals were fantastic, and everyone raved about them. We even had a 10 year old vegan guest that hates cauliflower and had the cauliflower steak and absolutely loved it! We are beyond happy that we chose Wheelhouse, and we would not have had it any other way. Thank you to everyone for all you did to make our wedding so special.

Wheelhouse was one of the first vendors we hired and we are SO glad we did. Guests raved about the food and service (as did we) and the team really worked to make sure our values were represented with our food choices. Everything was easy, clear and delicious. Last year I began my search for the perfect caterer for our outdoor wedding. I called and emailed many companies, but Wheelhouse really stuck out for me. They were detailed and thorough right from the beginning during our first phone call. We worked with Stephanie throughout the past year. She was helpful, knowledgeable, and always willing to answer my questions and work closely with what we wanted and needed. Fast forward through many emails and several phone calls to my big day. Stephanie showed up early to begin setting up with a smile on and a calm presence, just what a bride needs! Their team served soup and bread as a first course and everyone said it was the best fall soup they ever had! My now husband doesn’t even like butternut squash soup but he ate the entire bowl. We served our main course family style. Again…everyone loved the food. It was so delicious!! Everything was cooked perfectly and was served to my guests hot. I still have people telling me it was the best!! I could have eaten several plates of food if my dress allowed (lol) I recommend hiring Wheelhouse for your wedding or next event, you won’t be disappointed with the food, the people, or the service. Jake, Emma, and the rest of Wheelhouse staff are absolutely amazing! They were so responsive about everything we asked for and made sure everything went smoothly. They even picked up our wedding cake from a different bakery. The food was amazing and delicious. All our guest were blown away by the food. Jake and the rest of the Wheelhouse team - including Stephanie, Dakota, Emma - were wonderful to work with. My husband and I were originally supposed to get married in 2020 and had to postpone our wedding due to the pandemic. Jake and his team were incredibly patient and kind as we adjusted our plans over the course of two years. Moreover, they were able to accommodate all of our particular menu requests. Our guests raved about the food and service! We can't recommend Wheelhouse more highly.

We had a diverse set of guests at our wedding (I am half Indian half French Canadian and my husband is Italian), and we wanted the food to reflect these cuisines as well as to be unique and delicious, and Wheelhouse did an incredible job! We needed a lot of the food to be vegetarian friendly and they put together a menu that seamlessly incorporated all of these ideas into something great. Our guests are still raving about it. Also they LOVED the taco truck, so I definitely recommend that!!

I cannot say enough good things about Wheelhouse and their staff. Stephanie was incredibly kind and responsive, and so so helpful! My husband and I wanted an all vegan wedding, and Wheelhouse accommodated us perfectly with amazing food and service. Jake was great at helping us come up with dishes that were seasonal and would work well for us. I know it's not easy catering a completely vegan event, and they knocked it out of the park. Honestly I am not the type of girl who likes to plan anything, but the second Valley View Farm recommended Wheelhouse catering and I spoke with Stephanie, I couldn’t wait to start planning out wedding. Stephanie was so easy to talk to, was there any time I needed to make changed or have questions AND prepared me for any and all things that I would need to rent when it came to dining utensils. I didn’t think it could get any easier and then enters Dakota – She gave me the breakdown of the cocktail hour all the way through to dinner and clean up. These people are amazing and all I had to do was listen and answer the questions they asked. SO EASY!!! Honestly the weeks leading up to the wedding everyone could not believe how calm I was and that is a huge testament to all the hard work Wheelhouse and Valley View Farm put in to making our day as magical and amazing as it was. Our DJ pulled us aside to let us know it was the best meal he has ever eaten at a wedding! Our guest are still talking about the fall of the bone chicken! I can’t thank this team enough they were beyond amazing!

One of the benefits of working with Wheelhouse is how customizable the menu is. We described our taste and got a menu that was perfectly suited to us, including a brownie sundae bar as opposed to a traditional wedding cake! The whole process of working with Stephanie was super simple and she helped us find affordable tableware rentals, coordinated a tasting, and accommodated many dietary restrictions. In addition to the food tasting amazing they also pay a lot of attention to detail to make sure it looks beautiful as well. All of this was also for a fairly affordable price. I highly recommend Wheelhouse as your wedding caterer!

Wheelhouse Catering truly made our farm-to-table dreams come true for both our rehearsal dinner & our wedding! We had our rehearsal dinner at a winery and worked with Wheelhouse to create a Mediterranean-themed menu to pair with the wine. They hit it out of the park! Everyone was raving about the food that night and more specifically, one of my bridesmaids is a vegetarian and she told me she is still dreaming of her dish! She was so impressed by her unique, fulfilling vegetarian meal. For me, our chicken dish with chimichurri sauce was absolute perfection. And this was just the rehearsal dinner! The wedding meal was just as great with a charcuterie display during cocktail hour then a few options for the meal. They were so accommodating as we navigated the COVID restrictions on a day-to-day basis and was even able to make a last-minute change when the restrictions were lifted the week before our wedding! Stephanie was so great helping us navigate the menu planning process, having multiple calls with us leading up to finalizing the meals. She listened to our vision and provided recommendations when applicable. My (now) husband and I love unique & interesting food but are not great at coming up with the options, so Stephanie was able to take all our likes (some) dislikes and create a truly personalized menu. Dakota was the most amazing day-of point person. She was so friendly, and so accommodating! When I asked if my mom could bake/supply the desserts for both the events they were so great about it! They even offered to bring serving platters, etc. I cannot say enough good things about Wheelhouse’s planning, execution & staff! They truly made our wedding weekend one to remember…and have kept the guests talking about the best food out of any wedding they’ve been to!

Wheelhouse is incredible! Stephanie and Dakota went above beyond during the planning process and on the day. We were able to work together to plan the menu to meet the needs for our microwedding from a distance since we do not live in the area. Our expectations were exceeded on the day. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and were a delight to have as part of our special day.

Wheelhouse has a great team of caterers and managers ready to assist in your big day! Dakota and Stephanie responded to every call and email extremely quickly and were very easy to work with. The tasting was superb and left us wanting more and more! Our guest loved the food and staff was friendly and accommodating. Some guests could ha e used larger portions but overall fantastic!

Jake, Stephanie, and the wheelhouse team catered our wedding, one of the first to be allowed amidst the covid chaos, and you would have never guessed they were navigating uncharted territory. They were fantastic! From planning, and re-planning to re-planning again, they always made sure we knew all of our options every step of the way. They were so open to our ideas, as long as they kept our guests and their staff safe (which was huge in my book). Everything we discussed was executed perfectly and they did so with the best attitudes. The food was absolutely amazing, so unique, so customizable and beautifully plated. We would choose Wheelhouse time and time again, pandemic or not!! Thank you for taking part in our perfect day!

Wheelhouse catered my daughter's wedding recently, and the food was fantastic. With covid restrictions, they delivered the food to the house and we service it buffet style. Delivery was spot on time and they called just before arrival to make sure we were ready. Everyone loved the menu, very well balanced for every taste, including duck and pork, and vegetarian dishes that my daughter wanted. Farm fresh and home grown. Can't thank them enough for making this special day complete.

With their incredible food, wonderful service and meticulous organization, we truly felt like we were in good hands. We took a risk in hiring them- in that we didn’t get a chance to try any of their food before the wedding- but we went on our gut instincts that they would be amazing and we weren’t let down. They talked us through every step of the way and were very honest, open, and flexible about the pricing of everything. Their team is extremely communicative and helped us feel very well taken care of. Although as the bride I didn’t get a chance to truly enjoy much of the food, I got rav reviews from all of our guests. The display was beautiful and the tastes were truly scrumptious. Weddings are stressful and overwhelming, but everything about working with Wheelhouse helped keep me calm. They were truly phenomenal. Hire them for your wedding now!

Selecting Wheelhouse as my wedding caterer was the best decision I could have made. They checked in with me once a month for the 3 months prior to my wedding, ensuring any changes were addressed. The menu was superb and every guest thoroughly enjoyed every dish. Their food is unique yet appealed to the broad range of guests in attendance. And I can’t say enough about their extraordinary staff. When the cake didn’t arrive Stephanie checked in with me and was on it! She singlehandedly managed to get the cake delivered on time and saved the day! Obviously I can’t say enough about this wonderful catering company. Every person in attendance who is getting married in the future plans on using them. Anyone who knows someone who is getting married in the future has recommended them. I highly recommend them to you. They will go above and beyond to make your day special.

Wheelhouse was the perfect catering choice for our wedding weekend! We used Wheelhouse for our rehearsal dinner (taco plates from their food truck) and for our wedding reception (buffet style meal for 175 guests). The menus for both nights were creative, incorporating locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, and the food was delicious! Wheelhouse also did an amazing job accommodating our vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free guests. As other reviewers have mentioned, the communication from the Wheelhouse team is top notch. We worked closely with Jake and Stephanie. They were very easy to coordinate with and readily available to answer questions, which was extremely helpful during the wedding planning process. Shout out to Stephanie for running point on our wedding day...she was a rockstar and ensured everything went smoothly! We’d recommend Wheelhouse to anyone, and we hope to get to eat some of their delicious food again sometime soon!

Our goal was to have the *best wedding food ever* and Wheelhouse made it happen! From our first taste of their food (we went to one of their farm to table dinners the year before our wedding), we knew that they were the caterers for us. The team was amazing to work with from the beginning menu planning stages through helping us understand our options and making it work with a variety of dietary restrictions, to amazing service the night of, and everything in between. We wanted a menu that would reflect the fall flavors and the bounty that local farms had to offer at our October wedding, and the buffet menu they put together included cider braised brisket, beets, salad with kabocha squash, and more. An added bonus was the beautiful and delicious signature cocktails that they created for us. And best of all, our guests agree it was the best wedding good ever!

Wheelhouse is awesome. We loved working with them for our wedding. They took care of so much: pre-wedding logistics, special food options for guests with allergies and other dietary restrictions, festive signs at the bar, printed menus at each table, and, of course, serving up their incredible, locally sourced food. They worked within our budget and were a true, bona fide joy to work with at every turn. 11/10 for this crew. The very best.

Wheelhouse made amazing food for our wedding weekend and we couldn’t recommend them more. Jake was very detailed with planning and gave great recommendations for our menu. Wheelhouse catered our rehearsal dinner and perfectly fit the vibe we were looking for with their food truck. Our reception dinner was delicious. Wheelhouse did an exceptional job catering our wedding! We contacted a variety of vendors and we were so happy that we chose Wheelhouse.  The Menu: The chef put together a proposed menu that looked so good that we really didn't change much. It was interesting, seasonal, and special without being pretentious. We had a lot of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free guests, and there were plenty of options for them while still having a couple of great meat dishes. The few special requests that we did make were enthusiastically accommodated.   The Communication: The communication from the Wheelhouse team could not have been better! We worked primarily with Jake and Rosa, both of whom were friendly, helpful, organized, and so knowledgeable. We felt completely confident that we were in good hands and that everything would go smoothly (which it did!). Special thanks to Rosa for being so calm and pleasant while orchestrating everything that needed to happen on the day of the wedding-- she made it look easy.  The Service: Everything went according to plan on our wedding day. The food was plentiful and hot, the buffet line moved quickly, and the staff all seemed really friendly and cheerful. They set all the tables and bused everything promptly. Food presentation was lovely. For example, we purchased pies from another vendor, but Wheelhouse set them up on the dessert table in such a lovely way and took the extra time to garnish the table with wildflowers. Did we mention that they pulled all this off in a field with no running water? The Food: Delicious! We have gotten so many comments from guests about how great everything was, and that it was so much better than "typical" wedding food. Our vegetarian/vegan/GF friends (who are used to having to make do with salad and side vegetables) were totally happy and satisfied. The Price: Incredibly reasonable. No hidden costs or surprises. Our final bill was almost exactly what the initial proposal indicated, and payment was easy. In summary, Wheelhouse was fantastic and we couldn't have asked for a better caterer. We wish them many successful years ahead!

I can’t say enough about the food and service provided by Wheelhouse for our July 2019 wedding. From the initial planning stages to execution of the event, it was a pleasure to work with Jake, Rosa, and the Wheelhouse team. They were organized, professional, and flexible; they worked with us to create a menu that would satisfy a mixed crowd of vegetarians and non-vegetarians as well as guests with gluten, dairy, and nut allergies. The main menu was a fusion of American and Indian foods that did not disappoint – roasted chicken, beef brisket and biryani. We chose buffet style so that guests could have their choice of dish and didn’t have to pick only one main item. The presentation was elegant and the food was fantastic. We heard from so many of our guests that it was the best food they had ever eaten at a wedding!

We hired Wheelhouse to cater and bartend our wedding in late July, and we absolutely could not have been happier!! We are still getting compliments about how delicious the food was, and it pushed an already wonderful day over the top. Our wedding was at the Montague Retreat Center in the Pioneer Valley, and we wanted to make sure everything we did was as local as possible. Wheelhouse fit the bill exactly. All the food is locally, organically grown. Because it is so local, what is available can vary from season to season. Unfortunately, this meant that we weren’t able to taste the food before we booked them, since we were planning a summer wedding in the middle of winter. In the end, it didn’t matter -- the food was phenomenal and incredibly fresh. Our menu was vegetarian, but not one of our meat-loving guests walked away disappointed. We also have to compliment Wheelhouse on making everything so easy. Jake and Stephanie were a pleasure to work with -- they helped us pick out seasonal great menu choices that would suit our dietary needs, and on our wedding day the entire staff was kind and professional. We had them design a custom cocktail for us (delicious), and design our menu (beautiful), and we’re so glad we did. Really, we just can’t recommend Wheelhouse enough.

I cannot speak highly enough of our experience working with Jake and Wheelhouse Catering! We booked Wheelhouse early on in our wedding planning process and found working with them to be easy and stress-free. Jake was highly responsive, friendly, and very organized. We worked together to craft a menu that was locally sourced and would work well for the family-style meal that we envisioned for our wedding. The food was absolutely amazing! Our guests were raving about everything from the massive charcuterie appetizer spread to the late night taco truck. I am certain that every single one of our guest left full and happy!

We used Wheelhouse for our wedding. The food was amazing and it was beautiful. I like that they used local in season produce so everything was so increasingly fresh and of course in season. They are very friendly and have great ideas and great service!

From the minute I said "I do", I knew who my wish-list caterer would be and that was Wheelhouse! In fact we set our wedding date on July 7 because Jake told us he had that weekend available. From the first planning meeting to the big day, we found Wheelhouse to be a class act: friendly and personable, genuine and supportive, knowledgeable and professional! Having tried their food I knew what I had to look forward to: Local food made to perfection that celebrates the rural farm community that surrounds our home. The menu was diverse and beautiful. The staff were on time, diligent and customer service oriented. Jake checked in throughout the months leading up to the event and gave us helpful tips that enabled us to save money and meet our hopes and dreams too. If you care about local food that is displayed in such a way that will distract your photographer and make it into your wedding photo book; if you want food that will make your mouth water; and if you want to deal with a group of people that feel like family, then choose Wheelhouse for your wedding. You won't regret it. You'll LOVE it!

Wheelhouse provided catering, cocktail creation, bartending services and day of coordination services for our wedding. Jake, Stephanie and the rest of the team were amazing. The service was impeccable yet relaxed and we got numerous comments about it being the best wedding food many of our guests had ever had. If you are having a wedding in western mass it would be foolish to overlook Wheelhouse.

Wheelhouse catered our rehearsal dinner and wedding in June 2018. In short, everything was perfect. From the day we contacted Jake and his staff, to the day of the wedding, they were incredibly organized, quickly responded to all of our inquiries, and were a pleasure to work with. Because our venue was very DIY, they helped us calculate the dinnerware that we needed, made beautiful little menus to place on the tables, and it was so convenient that they were also able to provide certified bartenders. The tacos for our rehearsal dinner were incredible, and the staff hustled to make sure everyone was fed for our rehearsal dinner. On our wedding day, they prepared a plate with cheeses and apps for my husband and I to make sure that we ate, and did an incredible job with the family-style meal for 200 people. Our guests raved about the food. I cannot speak more highly of Wheelhouse and I would not hesitate to hire them for your wedding. We will be attending one of their ticketed farm dinners this summer just to we can enjoy the food again!

We loved Wheelhouse for our wedding for so many reasons. From the first call with Jake we knew we had the right caterer. He helped us think through what we needed to know and decide, provided tons of useful suggestions and ideas from his experience, and guided us through the process. We opted for buffet style, almost entirely vegetarian nibbles, dinner and late-night snacks. Wheelhouse also managed our bar and coordinated with Florence Pie Bar for deserts. This gave us lots of options and flexibility for our 150 guests. They were super helpful with dietary restrictions and never seemed worried about our many questions and changes in plans. The meal was diverse, fresh and looked as good as it tasted. Even the most hardline carnivores commented that the food was amazing! There was plenty of food, the support and service was excellent, and the whole team just made our lives and our wedding feel [almost] effortless. Our only regret is not writing this review sooner! Can’t recommend Wheelhouse highly enough.

After an intimate wedding amongst redwoods in CA in July, we had a festive and casual reception in our backyard in September -- and having Wheelhouse cater our event was the absolute perfect fit. We value and enjoy local, fresh, delicious food made with in-season ingredients and wanted our guests to have a choice of hearty but healthful balanced food and Wheelhouse could not have been better. Jake was tremendous to work with from the first contact until the end; the set-up was easy; the staff were kind, friendly, and wonderful; the overall service was outstanding; and the food was SPOT ON. We received compliments all night long, and are so grateful that Wheelhouse was a part of our day! We would definitely seek out Wheelhouse to work with for another party in the future -- or attend one of their farm dinners. Highly recommended. Bravo.

My wife and I were married this past June in the Berkshires and knew we wanted to prioritize serving delicious, fresh, local food to our guests. After doing some research, we narrowed down our choices and started tasting. We went to an event thrown by Wheelhouse and were blown away with the quality and consistency of their food! It was a done deal. Leading up to our wedding, they were so easy to work with and extremely organized. We went back and forth a few times about menu ideas and they were accommodating and flexible! Each person we spoke with had a really calm, kind vibe that made working together easy and not at all stressful. We used Wheelhouse for an outdoor rehearsal dinner and then the main event the following day and they really nailed both. We loved the food, but so many guests came up to let us know that things were really delicious. The staff was helpful, professional, and on top of it! We're so grateful they played a part in our magical weekend and would absolutely recommend them.

Wheelhouse catered our wedding and they were amazing. The food was absolutley spectacular. They also added many beautiful aesthetic touches that really made the space seem magical. Finally, they were always responsive, and really allowed us not to worry about the food. We haven’t stopped recieveing compliments about the food yet, and we’re already a month away from the date.

We cannot say enough good things about Wheelhouse: They were a joy to work with both in planning our wedding and the day of. They made our small, unusual venue work well. Their food was incredible. They are so dedicated to local food and so legit in their connection to local farms. They were so on point with in creating a menu for us based on our vague ideas about what it would be. More than all this they were thoughtful, genuine, and generally good people. Not being able to sample the food that was on the menu was a leap of faith on our part, but our confidence in Wheelhouse was rewarded by their incredible food and expert coordination. The Food: We chose Wheelhouse because of their commitment to local food, but for the benefit of everyone else reading our review I’ll describe how delicious it was. Bottom line - they won rave reviews from our foodie friends as well as our meat- and- potatoes family. In our experience, wedding catering usually means sad, bland vegetables and dry meat. Not only was their beef juicy and full of flavor, but all of the vegetables tasted so fresh and the flavors of each one came through. Neither of us really like cauliflower, but we LOVED the cauliflower dish they made. For our meat dishes, it was this excellence in produce that really gave an added dimension to the dishes (in addition to cooking the meat just right). AND when they had to bring in an outside vendor (like the pies that we wanted for dessert) they really chose the best around. That being said their initial cheese selection for our appetizers was underwhelming, but they were completely willing to work with us on this and the final version day of was fantastic. Organization/ Logistics: They were by far the most organized vendor at our wedding, despite feeling the most small-scale and personable. Our wedding was very bespoke/ a la carte/ choose your own adventure, and they followed us effortlessly through all of the details, weird requests, and special considerations of our wedding. They never came to us with setbacks or complications. They were really good about checking in, and structured our interactions in the months leading up to the wedding so that we were all on the same page with the many, many details to keep track of. Day-of Logistics: They were so unobtrusive and friendly, despite unpleasant surprises from other vendors. When our rental company failed to deliver some items and put others in odd places, they helped pick up the pieces. When our venue went back on its word as to where they could put their cooking tent they rolled with it. When we decided day-of to hold our photoshoot where they needed to work they were so good about working through it. Personal touches: It’s no coincidence that they gave us exactly what we wanted in terms of food. They paid close attention when we told them our preferences were and were genuinely attuned to our likes and dislikes. During the planning process my husband mentioned how he always goes back for seconds at wedding buffets. Based on this aside, they gave him a HUGE platter of food, which we both found to be so touching, special, and funny. Tipping: Their guideline to us was that if we were pleased with the job they did we should tip 10-20%. Not totally unheard of but worth mentioning since different caterers do it differently.

We were so happy to have chosen Wheelhouse as the caterer for our wedding. From start to finish they were wonderful to work with - warm, responsive, and super accommodating of our vision while also staying true to their mission of staying locally sourced and sustainable. Jake, Will, Stephanie and the entire team were the consummate professionals. Most importantly, the food was top notch. We had so many guests comment on the food - how the meat fell right off the bone for the short rib, how tender the chicken was, and how delicious the desserts were. They also made pierogis for our stationary appetizers which were all gone within seconds! We were so, so happy with the service Wheelhouse provided. Would re-book in a heartbeat.

Wheelhouse catered our wedding this past weekend and it was SUCH joy working with them. Stephanie and Calla were so organized, helpful and responsive. They guided my partner and I through the entire process and scheduled monthly check-in calls leading up to the wedding in which they provided tons of support, suggestions and peace of mind! Will and Anna worked with us to create a menu we loved and they took our suggestions and ideas and made them a reality. We did not have to think about food, drinks, dessert AT ALL during the wedding - everything ran seamlessly, the food was spectacular (we got so many compliments from our guests), the displays, app tables, bar and dessert were all set up beautifully and all of the servers and cook staff were friendly, helpful, and respectful of our space. Wheelhouse was absolutely fabulous from the professional, timely conversations with Jake and Calla as we prepared our menu to the delicious meal that had our guests asking about locally sourced ingredients perfectly prepared by Chef Will to the beautiful presentation led by Zoe and her team. My wife and I decided to throw a backyard wedding which came with more struggles than we had anticipated. Jake, Will, and the rest of the Wheelhouse staff were the most steady, responsible, and responsive vendors we worked with. The food was inventive and packed with flavor. The little decorative touches they put on the buffet and bar only elevated the aesthetic of the event. I could write a novel praising Wheelhouse, but I’ll leave it at this—if you want to work with consummate professionals who deliver amazing food and can set your mind at ease when you’re stressed about things going according to plan, call Jake and Will.

I cannot recommend Wheelhouse Farm enough. They were responsible for our reception meal (cocktail hour appetizers with a sit-down salad course and main course served family-style) and dessert (strawberry shortcake!) served at our wedding of 70 guests in the Berkshires in June. They serve food from local farms and their menu is dictated by what is available and in season - thus, we were able to sample their food in general, but we knew our wedding menu would be different. Once you taste any of the food they cook, though, you will trust them with whatever menu items they recommend because their food is so, so, so delicious. Our only request was that they serve strawberry shortcake as the dessert, and they were able to freeze strawberries from one season just in case strawberries weren't available once our wedding rolled around in June (luckily, we got fresh strawberries when the day finally came!) - we so appreciated this thoughtfulness and flexibility. Throughout the entire process, from hiring them one-year out from our wedding date to our phone conversations and email correspondence, they were professional, detail-oriented, attentive, and super responsive. We worked mostly with Jake and Calla, who were both exceptional. We also seemed to have won the lottery with dietary restrictions from our guest list, giving them a whole list of various restrictions (nut-free, dairy-free, vegan, gluten-free, you name it, we had it at our wedding), and they were so graciously able to accommodate every single guest with delicious alternatives. Their staff was incredibly friendly and attentive while being mainly in the background during the reception. And, most importantly, people cannot stop talking about the food - weeks later, friends are still waxing nostalgic about the food. If you want an incredibly professional catering experience plus the knowledge that you will receive delicious food that is local and supports Massachusetts farmers, why would you hire anyone else?!
