We used Whim Hospitality in Dripping Springs for our wedding tablecloth rentals. Their team had our order packed and ready to go for pick-up and the drop off process was super easy! I compared Whim to two other popular Austin area rental companies and their prices were the best on tablecloth rentals and other fees.

Everything with Whim went great! They had a great selection they have a showroom to look at everything before selecting it. Bre was very quick to respond and awesome to work with. There was a miscommunication about the date(my fault) and Bre handled everything and it wasn't a problem at all! Delivery, set-up, and pick-up also went smoothly. I'd definitely recommend them!

We hired Whim to supply our event rentals, including dish ware, glasses, linens, and farmhouse tables. We were able to visit the showroom where we got to mix and match linens and dishes to find the exact look we wanted. The Whim team was helpful throughout the whole process and when it came to wedding day, everything was seamless!

First, I think Whim did a wonderful job with set up/tear down/working with our planner and venue. We hired them for an outdoor tent in case it rained.
However, we were really frustrated with them, because they changed their permitting policy where we had to apply/fill out the information through the city. They told us about 2 months away from the date, and there was a deadline to get the permit. It just didn't seem like something that we should handle, because the permit application asks for specific measurements and set up of the tent.
Additionally, days away from our wedding we were asked if we would like to change to a tent without a big pole in the middle. Considering that we had a pretty extensive layout that would be under the tent, we said yes. However, it was more expensive to do so.
I just felt like it was pulling teeth to work with these guys regarding logistics. Not to mention they really weren't that responsive, and pretty archaic regarding their payment system. You have to call and give your credit card information over the phone, which is a pain when you and your husband have full time jobs and are just trying to speed through getting things planned.
Use them if you need a tent, otherwise I would shop around for other options.

In regards to tent permitting, we apologize for any frustration as we are now having to implement new guidelines and protocols from the City of Austin. Due to liability reasons, it has been deemed that the client/planner has to secure permitting for their event. However, we are always happy to assist our clients with the process in any way we can. We aim to make things as seamless as possible in all aspects of our event process, from preempting optimal event layouts to easy online payments. When it comes to wedding planning, having vendors who are understanding and easy to work with is huge, and Whim was both of those things. Danielle at Whim was amazing - she helped me make so many decisions and changed my proposal back and forth when I couldn't make up my mind. And, the morning of my wedding when we had an issue with the tent, she not only answered all of my calls on a Saturday while she was with her son, but she solved the issue for me, got with my venue to get it all squared away, and refunded me for the parts that we did not end up using, which was SO helpful knowing that the team had my back and made sure we were happy at the end of the day, even if that meant they were giving us money back. I can't explain how thankful I am for vendors who really want to make a positive lasting impression, and that is what you are getting with Whim. Not to mention their rentals are beautiful! Thank you again Danielle and the Whim team for being so understanding.

Everything was perfect! We had a backyard/riverside wedding with two tents, a dance floor, biergarten-esque tables and chairs. The set up and take down were flawless! They are thorough with their communication and it was worth every penny!

I got married and Camp Lucy Sacred Oaks and Whim hospitality made all my rental dreams come true. Everything was even better than what I envisioned! So many guests complimented the venue and decor. I even had multiple people ask me about having a family member have their wedding at Camp Lucy with similar rentals! I could not be more happy with the way everything turned out. While working with whim rentals I communicated with numerous associates. Usually this makes me a little uneasy, however everyone I spoke to knew exactly what I was talking about & was extremely consistent in all the info needed for my wedding. We went back & forth multiple times to determine the perfect layout & arrangement. They were so patient & understanding. On our big day, everything was beautiful & perfect. Highly recommend!

I loved my experience with Whim. I was super into the Chameleon chairs they have, which is the main reason I decided to go with them. At my final design meeting at their office Jennifer had a table setup exactly how it’d be set up at my wedding! She even switched different linens for me 3 times! I’m a wedding planner in Austin, so I’ve worked with several rental companies before. Jennifer Anthony is the first manager/sales person I’ve ever seen show up at the venue the day of the wedding. It’s almost always just the delivery drivers/set up crew, so I was very impressed by this. She is so easy to get along with, and was very accommodating throughout the entire process. We were also trying to dodge the rain on our wedding day, and just days before the wedding I was back and forth with her trying to figure out what the latest time possible would be for them to deliver. This was a moment I started to feel a little bit of bridezilla come on, but Jennifer continued to work with me so easily. 5 star employee, 5 star company. Thanks for everything guys, I’m so happy with it all!

We got our tables, chairs, linens, and coolers from Whim Event Rentals. They have a great selection of high quality items, and we had everything we needed. The prices are a little higher than other places, but they are willing to work with you if you ask. I wish they had been more communicative about pickup and drop-off times. They came earlier than expected to drop everything off, and we didn't receive any sort of notification when they came to pick up. They also gave us one set of linens that were not the same color as the others! Overall though, a positive experience.

We absolutely loved working with Whim Hospitality! Having all of our vendors able to work together with our venue was a huge time saver and convenience, and they were able to give us the most perfectly beautiful day! We couldn't have hoped for more. Everyone was so friendly and easy to work with, and they were lal patient and helpful as we designed our perfect day. The details in the florals were perfect and beautiful, the rentals met our needs perfectly, and the food was absolutely delicious. We couldn't have chosen better! Our guests continue to tell us what a beautiful day it was and how wonderful the food was, and we couldn't agree more!!

Whim rentals is a great vendor!!! I would recommend them to anyone!!!! First of all, they have the best variety of things to rent!!! All different styles to choose from and I loved that!!!! They went above and beyond and every little detail was perfect!!!! Easy to work with and very accommodating. As a bride, I changed my mind a lot and I remember thinking I wanted something different and so had to come in from out of town a second time. They were great about accommodating to my schedule!!!

The Whim Rentals team is awesome! They worked with us to upgrade our Sperry tent to a larger size (due to the rain) just a few days before our wedding. They are easy to work with and have A LOT of great outside lounge furniture and beautiful dining sets.

By far, the BEST decision we made when planning our wedding. Whim is the real deal, the whole package, and worth every cent! They were so personable, respectful, accommodating, and communication was NEVER a problem. Whim Rentals did a great job making the wedding of our dreams come to life! Their showroom of the different options was incredible and we were able to test different colors, sizes, patterns, and textures of table cloths, napkins, and tables. The rental team did a great job of putting together a neat diagram that showed the layout of all of the rentals and how they would fit in the wedding and reception areas. They also did a great job of explaining and advising us on the flow of our guests over time at our wedding, and which layout would be the most optimal and cost-efficient. When it came to the day-of, everything was executed perfectly, and there were no problems in repurposing rentals from the ceremony to the cocktail hour to the reception. Whim rentals put the elegant, classy, and personal touch on our wedding day! Like every area of Whim, excellence is the norm, personal touch is the expectation, and execution is flawless.

Our coordinator worked with us directly for all of our rentals so I did not work with anyone directly. When we visited the showroom, it was great to be able to set up mock tables by using their dishes. silverware, linens, etc. We made some last minute changes to our proposal a few weeks prior to our event and they seemed very quick to updates. They have a nice selection of dishes, silverware, tables, chairs, etc.. and we were able to select exactly what we were wanting. I personally think the cost was a little high because every item was À la carte but in the end that could be beneficial to those who only need a few pieces and not entire sets. We selected a large dinner plate, water glasses, iced tea glasses, forks, knives, table linens, and ottomans. We decided to bring our own plastic cake plates and plastic forks for the cake table to save $. We were very satisfied for the items we rented.

Randi at Whim Catering is the best!! She made sure everything was perfect and was super helpful with everything from setting up our floor plan for buffet stations, to making sure our plate/linen order was right, to getting us GREAT food. First off, everyone loved our food! It was incredibly delicious and the choices there are endless. BEST MAC N CHEESE. and it was reasonably priced as well. Second, Whim had never catered at our venue so Randi took the time to go over there and make sure she was familiar with everything for the night of our wedding. Third, they care so much! They took such good care of my husband and I at the reception and made sure we got all the food we wanted and drinks during the reception. Thanks Randi!

We enjoyed meeting the Whim crew and they were extremely helpful when we had questions or needed advice. However, I feel they were extremely overpriced for linens, and their service fees were as well. I work in this industry and have been very surprised to see what a lot of vendors charge for service fees, outside of the initial cost. Our end cost was for an extra table, and table cloths ONLY. No other rentals.

Our experience with Whim was TERRIBLE! Initially, it seemed that all was well. We met with Luke a number of times to place our initial order and then to tailor it as we came closer to our wedding date.
During our multiple conversations with Whim we repeatedly discussed that our tables were to be set in the tents outside of our venue for lunch and, thereafter, moved inside the venue for the reception. We paid additional fees for this. In addition, Whim was to set up a stage for the wedding and to tear it down and remove it for the reception. We emphasized that this was important because my dad has bad knees and would have difficulty getting on and off the stage during the reception. Despite repeatedly confirming this, on the night before my wedding, while I was on the way to one of our events, we received a call from Whim stating that they would not move the stage for the reception and that we would have to pay an additional $800 to have it moved. This was well out of my budget and I could not afford to pay an additional $800. In addition, the next day, the stage had been set up in the wrong orientation and the tables, that were supposed to have been set up outside, were set up inside the venue.
As a result, my dad and a number of our guests had to move the tables outside. I did not know this at the time. I only found out when my dad was not able to walk for a week after the wedding due to incredible pain in his knees. Not to mention the fact that he and became very ill because he was moving these tables in the freezing cold and had not come dressed to my wedding prepared to do this. If I could give Whim a negative rating, I would.

I went to their actual location and the girls helped me pick table linens from the centerpiece items that I brought in to show them. They had so much fun putting it all together, and the linens came out great. I was on a tight budget, so they worked with me to create an expensive look for a budget friendly price. This venue was great to work with and I highly recommend them!

Dripping Springs Party Rental is a great place to go if you need wedding/party rentals in the Dripping Springs/Hill Country area. They were professional and courteous. And, most importantly, they are willing to work with you. We went back and forth on what we needed to rent all the way up to our wedding day and DS Party Rental totally accommodated us. They are efficient and the most affordable in this area. The other nice thing is if they do not have what you are looking for; they will find it for you. They didn’t have the particular tent that we needed for our wedding, so instead of us having to handle that situation, they took care of it.
We only used them for rentals, but they do offer other services such as wedding coordinator and floral . . . so if you are looking for one stop shopping, they can handle it. They will also recommend other vendors if you need help. They helped us find our wedding venue and we couldn’t have been happier.
