We had a fantastic experience with Wildflowers & Whiskey. We ended up choosing the all inclusive package, and would 100% make that choice again if we had to do it over. It included the heavy hitting wedding vendors (coordination, catering, bartending) while giving us one point of contact for managing it all.
Julia was our primary point of contact throughout most of our planning, and she was amazing. The resources W&W provide are great - it outlined everything month-to-month, so we never felt rushed and we never felt like we were leaving anything out as things were planned. Julia was also there to answer any questions we had throughout the process, so we were never left to figure things out for ourselves or stuck with any guesswork while putting the event together.
Once we got closer to the day of, Abi was brought in as our day of / month of coordinator, and she was just as diligent and easy to work with as Julia. We never felt like we were getting "passed around" or had to repeat ourselves - their documentation was fantastic and we really never had anything to stress about throughout the whole process. Abi managed the rehearsal and wedding day beautifully, we never had to think about any of the logistics and we had several guests tell us it was the smoothest ran wedding they had ever been to.
W&W made this such a low-stress and enjoyable process, I can't stress enough how much of a joy it was to work with Julia and Abi to make our wedding happen.
I absolutely loved the Wildflowers and Whiskey team! After meeting with other planners for our October 2023 wedding, I didn't feel comfortable with what they were offering until we met Julia. We clicked instantly and communicating our vision to her was so simple. She understood exactly what we wanted and went above and beyond probably earlier than necessary for this anxious, Type A bride (me!). Her vendor recommendations, many years of event planning expertise and team of absolute freaking amazing human beings made our day more special than we could've imagined. Danielle was there with us on the day of and was so flexible when my husband made an in-the-moment change to our timeline. She pivoted with grace and kept the good times rolling at our reception. I am so pleased with this team of professional women who answered all of my questions, no matter how silly. They took the time to educate me and search for different, more cost efficient options when/if budget became a concern. I never felt like a burden. I truly felt like I was working with my friends. I would recommend them 100x over! Love this team!
This company is amazing. Julia, Abi, and Nikol were incredible. I planned my wedding in Austin from New York, and they made it so easy! When the big day came, I didn’t have to worry about a single thing. My goal was to plan everything myself, and just have the coordinators run things on the day of. But they did so much more! They helped me find vendors and gave advice about how to avoid all the common issues that come up. They brought up questions I never would have asked, but ended up being absolutely vital. I would have been completely lost without them. Everyone was professional, personable, fun, and cared about the success of our wedding. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone, but especially folks who may not know Austin well or are planning from a distance. They helped me save money, time, and stress. They kept my family in line, on time, and looking good. I had absolutely zero problems, and needless to say, they met my expectations and then some!
Julia at Wildflowers and Whiskey was a great find! As a groom my first priority was to save time and stress of choosing vendors, coordinating them, and basically all the other things that needed to be done that I simply didn’t want to do. I wanted us to enjoy the day of our wedding, and thanks to Julia and her team, we were able to do that. For vendor selections, we got a small number of known good and reliable options which fit our vibe and personality, completely removing the too-many-options leading to decision fatigue. She had spreadsheets galore tracking our to-do list (with due dates), vendor selections, etc. It was all very well organized which helped for both of us. On the day of, she kept on top of all of the details (vendor setups, keeping the bar running/stocked, getting the show running and moving on time, etc). She was great to work with and I would definitely recommend W&W events.
I don’t even know where to begin my praises for Julia with Wildflower and Whiskey Events. She was the first and ONLY wedding planner we interviewed. Her energy just felt right and neither my fiancé nor I wanted to waste time meeting others. We booked Julia immediately! Julia was so amazing to work with. This was both mine and my fiancés 2nd weddings. Neither of us had the wedding we wanted the first time around, so it was very important to both of us that this wedding was the wedding of our dreams and would be exactly what we wanted. We talked to Julia at length about our vision and she understood the assignment. She was able to recommend the BEST vendors to help make our wedding day dreams a reality. Also, we threw an extra challenge at Julia. We didn’t want to get married at a typical wedding venue. We wanted to get married on our own property, which only had electricity. No running water & no septic / sewage. She had NO problem taking this on and was able to tell us exactly what we needed to make it happen. Things my fiancé and I never would have thought about. Her knowledge and expertise with outdoor events was invaluable. She was always there when we had a question or needed advice. And when the decision making became too much, she was able to swoop in and handle it for us. That alone was worth its weight in gold.
I could seriously go on for days about how amazing this woman is both as a person and as a wedding planner. Hiring her was one of the best decisions we made. Because of her, our day was everything we wanted it to be and more. It was absolute perfection. Thank you, Julia!
Julia was the BEST! If you are thinking about having your wedding without hiring a planner , I would advise you not too! Julia really cared about communication before our big day, and literally made it her job to stay in contact with us about all the details. Everything from the catering, flowers, cake, DJ, and etc where chosen with the help of Julia's expertise. If you want to buy your cake from HEB Julia will know the right person to connect you with. On the other hand, she (Julia) also has very deep connections with all of the small businesses around the area, and I believe that is due to her stand up character and awesome work!
Julia is amazing, super chill but get it done kind of gal. She was accommodating and very much made sure we were not stressed with anything, especially the day of.
She was recommended to us by a friend of ours in the industry, and she did not disappoint.
Julia is awesome. Fun personality, down to Earth, and gets stuff done. She listened to what we really wanted and made it happen all within our budget. The day of the wedding went smoothly and I didn't have to lift a finger! Highly recommended.
My wife and I were recommended Wildflowers & Whiskey Events by our venue (Jester King) as a great fit for a non-traditional Hill Country wedding. While our pandemic planning process was worrying at times, the wedding day itself came together fantastically thanks to Julia and her team. We were able to enjoy our day without a single thought to the complicated operations making it all happen. Julia was a rockstar on the day: meticulously executing our decor plan, effortlessly pivoting with weather challenges, and gracefully directing all the moving parts (timeline, vendors, guests) with total ease and confidence. We couldn’t have asked for a more experienced, relaxed, and fun coordinator to throw us the party of a lifetime!
Right from first speaking to Julia, my daughter told me she had complete faith in the team at Wildflowers & Whiskey Events being able to interpret her ideas and create a wedding for her that would be memorable for all the right reasons. Julia told us, stick to the timesheet and don’t worry about anything on the day and the W&W team delivered on all counts. My daughter is all about the detail and W&W were able to put her vision of her big day into practice. The timeline for us was essential as we were a little headless in the morning trying to remember our cues. The event space looked fabulous when we arrived, Julia and Lauren did their magic and kept track of things throughout the day. There was nothing that I saw or that was brought to my attention during or after the wedding that needed fixing which truly endorses a smooth operation. If there were glitches, we didn’t notice, we were so caught up in the day’s activities. It was stressful leading up to this wedding with the uncertainty of guests being well and able to travel, especially internationally because of Covid. However on the day we felt such joy to be all together at last and we are left now with very happy memories.
Julia and Lauren are not only fun to work with, but they did a phenomenal job with our décor set up. I honestly didn't know how well it was going to turn out! I gave some guidelines, but Julia really took it and ran with it, which is exactly what I asked for and needed! They are easy to work with, helpful throughout the process, constantly try to find the best options for you, and work to make your day the absolute best. We had such a BLAST and we could not have done it without their support. Thank you again, Julia (and Lauren!)
Julia and her team are ABSOLUTELY amazing! We did the day-of coordination (which is sooo much more than that) and I could not have been happier with their services. She is so thorough and thinks of every little detail that would have never come to my mind. She was quick to make adjustments with all of my last minute changes. Our wedding day was the easiest, most stress free day of my life thanks to her. Cannot recommend Julia and her team enough!!

I cannot put into words how incredible Julia and her services are- she seriously goes above and beyond for her clients. Going into wedding planning, I wasn't super sold on the idea of hiring a wedding coordinator since I am such a type-A, organized person. I figured if anyone could plan a wedding it would be me- I had no idea how wrong I was! It turns out there are about a million components to a wedding that most would never think of. I can honestly say that it doesn't matter how organized you are, EVERYONE can benefit from a planner or day-of coordinator (also don’t let the name mislead you- Julia’s “day-of” services really start six weeks out!).
Julia was able to foresee issues ahead of time that neither of us would have ever considered and was incredible at keeping us on track for both big and small items. For example, we planned on having a sparkler "send-off" for our exit. During one of our last meetings, Julia reminded us to get lighters for the sparklers- something that sounds obvious when you read it, but we were so busy with everything we had completely forgotten. If she hadn’t had remembered, we would not have had them on the day-of!
My mom, who is not a big “wedding” person, is still talking about how much of a great idea it was to hire Julia as our wedding coordinator, and that she is blown away by how much stress she saved us and our families. Julia gave us the opportunity to relax and focus on getting married- I can honestly say that besides marrying each other, hiring her was the best wedding related decision we made.
Julia was my wife and I’s wedding planner extrodinaire. She was very attentive to our needs, wants, and also had great ideas of her own.
When it came down to the nuts and bolts of it all, Julia was on top of it. And come the rehearsal dinner, and day of, Julia was great at making sure we stayed on our timeline, ‘herding cats’ so to speak, and making sure everyone was where they needed to be. She did it all with a great attitude and professionalism.
Day-of, Julia was also great at keeping things that we worried about out of our hair so that we could enjoy the day and not get distracted by menial needs, questions from vendors, guests, etc.

Julia was by far the most amazing wedding coordinator I have ever met and without her our amazing day would not of been possible. She made sure we had every detail taken care of and I truly felt the day of that I did not have to worry because she was there. She is smart, kind, caring and knows exactly what she’s doing, I couldn’t recommend anyone more suited to help with ANY important event. If you use Wildflowers & Whiskey Events I’m sure you will be incredibly happy with your decision.
Julia was such an important part of our special day- I am so thankful for her! The greatest part about having her as a wedding coordinator was that she was able to take the stress off of us and our families so that we had a chance to enjoy the party. Julia's experience in event planning and coordinating made me feel confident that our evening would go smoothly, and it was so nice to have an expert to lean on while making many, many planning decisions.
During the reception, Julia was on top of all the details, big and small. We packed almost 200 people into Scholz Biergarten in downtown Austin, so it was pretty cozy! As the garden had multiple entrances, Julia helped us create a plan for welcoming guests coming from all directions and was integral in getting the party started. One small but significant detail that Julia helped with was scouting out empty seats for those that needed one. She was so helpful in making our guests feel at home and really understood the fun and relaxed atmosphere we were trying to create.
Apart from being a meticulous wedding coordinator and event planner, Julia is incredibly kind and patient, two qualities necessary for working in the wedding industry. Wedding planning can be crazy and stressful, Julia helps take the edge off!
Julia with Wildflowers & Whiskey Events was an absolute life-saver when it came to our wedding. I am a project manager by trade, so when I got engaged in April, deciding to plan our wedding for October seemed like it would be plenty of time to get everything organized and in place. I did not realize I had just signed myself up for a 2nd full-time job. As the date started getting closer, I realized that there was no way I was going to be able to handle all of the little details, nor especially the day-of stuff, by myself. But I also hadn't budgeted for a coordinator (HUGE oversight). So after scouring the internet and having several phone interviews with other coordinators, I found Wildflowers & Whiskey Events on Yelp.
My initial consultation with Julia immediately put her on top of my list of prospects. In our 45 minute call, she had already offered multiple pieces of advice that I hadn't even considered but absolutely needed. I hung up the phone with her and texted my (now) husband, "I don't care what her quote is, Julia is who I want to work with." It was an absolute blessing that she was also within our financial ability to afford to hire. So we did.
Our first face to face ended up being onsite at the venue, where we were negotiating the booze and services, and she jumped right in where we needed her, offering support for myself and my fiance, and becoming our advocate in the process. We were only 6 weeks out from the wedding at this point rather than the 3+ months where Wildflowers & Whiskey Events normally jumps in for Partial-Planning, but Julia rose to the challenge and worked with me behind the scenes to catch up and actually get ahead of the ball.
And the most important part, she made our day go off perfectly. She told me ahead of time that I would never know if anything did go wrong, and she was right. For me the day was gorgeous and peaceful, and it wasn't until we got back from our honeymoon that I even found out about all of the little snafu's and issues she solved on the day, including that the Flower Girl's basket got left in a cooler! Julia just snagged a few extra roses from the welcome table, disassembled the petals, and the flower girl was good to go!
I really cannot say enough about how amazing Wildflowers & Whiskey Events is, or how instrumental Julia was before, during, and after our wedding.
This review is a bit different from most. I chose Julia to coordinate my Leap Day wedding because I had worked with her on previous events as a staff member. I"d seen firsthand how well she operates behind the scenes, her coolness under pressure, and how much she genuinely cares about providing a perfect experience for her clients . When it came time to plan my own wedding, the choice was obvious. From day one, Julia worked with my husband and I as if our event was the only one that she was coordinating. She made every aspect of planning our 300-guest wedding FUN. She was organized, prompt, and calmed my nerves when I felt overwhelmed. I always felt prepared because I had all the tools and information that I needed thanks to Julia.
Fast forward to the wedding day when Julia and her team executed the best day of my life! Julia coordinated every detail, planned every schedule for every moving person and part, and created the most amazing atmosphere for my guests. She was there for me every minute of those three days. All of my vendors raved about how wonderful she was, and I just could not have been more impressed with Julia’s dedication to making our day unforgettable and stress-free. I cannot imagine going through that crazy process with anyone except Julia, and I highly recommend her for ANY event of ANY size at ANY time!
It was such a great decision to work with Julia, Rylee, and the Native Roots team for our wedding coordination! We met Julia at a vendor open house at Jester King and immediately knew we wanted to work with her.
Julia is so connected in the wedding world, and helped us secure reliable & affordable shuttle transportation for our wedding when we didn't know where to start - thank you! Even though we worked with Native Roots specifically for "day-of" coordination, about 6 weeks out, Julia and Rylee really made us feel like they had everything in control and were ensuring nothing was falling through the cracks for our day. Among other things uncovered, we hadn't thought about how our DJ would get power to our outdoor ceremony site and they made sure our venue ran a long extension cord - phew. They got in touch with *all* of our vendors not only for ceremony/reception but for the entire day so that it was completely smooth for us.
On the actual day of our wedding, Rylee was the absolute best. She was there early making sure all of our materials - signs, programs, blanket gifts, centerpieces, etc - were all placed and set up perfectly. She checked in with us just the right amount throughout the night, and immediately followed through on any requests/changes we wanted to make in the moment. We never had to look at our timelines or watches, we were just able to enjoy every moment of our day. Can't thank Julia, Rylee, and team enough!!
We got married in October 2019. We hired Julia for to begin coordination at 3 months' out. We feel so incredibly fortunate to have worked with her. She is by sure the greatest wedding coordinator of all time! Not only is she so on top of her game, but it was a true gift to be in her joyful, thoughtful, beautiful presence on this very special day. Our wedding turned out perfectly -- better than we could have ever imagined -- and this is in large part owed to Julia. We highly recommend Native Roots Events!
