Willow Rose Co

Poor communication and customer service. We were a COVID wedding and were going to have to reschedule our large ceremony due to government restrictions surrounding event sizes and venue restrictions. April Cook of Willow Rose Co. & I were scheduled to have a meeting in March the weekend shelter in place went into effect. I emailed her just to ensure she knew I was aware of our planned meeting, but we were not legally allowed to meet due to shelter in place. I asked her what her emergency plan was/how she was handling events she was having to reschedule, and she told me to wait it out and that she did not believe I would have any problem being that my event was the end of May. At this point she said we could discuss a refund or reschedule later if we needed to. Fast forward several weeks into April, I emailed her and as I had not heard anything and the government restrictions were still continuing and becoming more strict. I told her we obviously would not be allowed to host a 300-400 person event but that we were considering a smaller family ceremony. I was hoping to utilize some of the services we had paid for (ie. bridal bouquet or boutonniere, maybe even a smaller version of the cake), but again received no response. I then had to hire another florist and cake baker for our ceremony. When I emailed her a second time I asked for a refund or told her I would consider it a theft of service since I had contacted her and tried to make a backup plan and she never replied. We had to hire additional wedding vendors to cover services we had already paid April Cook for. April Cook responded rudely but offered no solution. I waited an additional week before emailing her again explaining I would pursue small claims for theft of services as I made attempts to contact her with no response. She then threatened to file a counter suit saying I did not hold up my end of the contract as I was supposed to make a final payment at the end of April. Of course I never made my final payment because I had yet to receive a response from her regarding how she was going to handle our event. I am incredibly disappointed as I received her contact information from a vendor list. 0/5 recommend and I hope to save future brides time and money as it is quite clear April Cook with Willow Rose Floral Co. is only interested in receiving payment for services which are not provided despite multiple attempts to contact her.

I absolutely loved my bouquet for my wedding! Willow Rose Co. was so easy to work with. Probably the easiest out of all our vendors! April was very nice and listened to what I was envisioning and assured me it would get executed. Thanks a bunch!!

I loved working with April! She was very attenative, and made sure everything we wanted was written within a contract so there was no confusion when it came to day of and payment. I gave her full reign because I know nothing about flowers, and she did a beautiful job! She was willing to help set up and deliver (with a fee) and was so sweet and helpful! She made wonderful suggestions and was sure to update me with every design she made. She makes beautiful and delicious cakes and deserts. I definitely recommend her for everything!!!

We hired April cook last year. Promotion for flowers and for cake offering discounts. She demanded all money up front what was really hard to do but we did it anyways. Met with her about 3 months before the wedding went over what exactly I wanted cake tasted all. She wrote it down. Day of wedding cake first she was trying to come that Friday. We made her come Saturday. She showed up with her young child’s with everything. My bridal bouquet was even completed! She left immediately without even me looking at anything or approving! ABSOLUTELY nothing was what I wanted. My bridal bouquet was a Joke! She put fake flowers and succulents in there when I strictly told her absolutely none!My bridesmaids needed to run to town to get more flowers and everything for it and make it into something better! All the flowers were dead and not what I wanted for centerpieces. I had 3 burbon barrels to be covered with flowers meanwhile they looked like funeral arrangements and so much smaller. Just a mess! Colors were red and white only white flowers. Nothing requested was even given for Floral arrangements! And she promised a throw a way bouquet and all of these other things and nothing was there as promised Cakes : had a groomsmen and a naked 3 tiered cake. Let’s just say they were falling apart while in the fridge and right when she left. My 3 tiered naked cake was cheaply done no flowers what I wanted litterally falling apart like a 10 year old did it. And it wasn’t even the flavor we picked. Grooms men OU with chocolate covered strawberries on it- had finger marks all on it. strawberries fell all off and just so sloppy!! I mean it was devastating and this is still I mean 10 mins after she left! Then the anniversary cake she gives for free. Ya that’s a joke. First the way she wraps it. Let’s just say we will not have an anniversary cake for our first year. She didn’t preserve it how it should be and wrapped it in an old amazon box!!! That’s it!! We called her 15 mins after she left (my groom is) telling her to come back that nothing is right and for her to come back. SHE WOULDNT EVEN COME BACK!! The topping of the cake : I can’t even write a review or anything about her she blocked me and my husband on her page! I told kallie (scr owner ) about this she said she would remove her immediately from the list. But not sure if it ever occurred. I don’t want brides dealing with what I did that day from my experience with this terrible person. She ruined an enjoyable time and day for me. I have professional pictures of all of caked and flowers. And they are just gross and ruined the pictures. I hope this helps!!
