I did my wedding photos and preparation day of at the Windsor Court and got married at a different location. The bridal party stayed in 2 suites with an adjoining hall way that had the option to close the hallway door, making for an easily 1,200 sq foot area for preparation. We ordered catering and had our dresses steamed with their steamer without issue. I had a huge bridal party (10) but the space was never an issue. We had 6 people getting hair and makeup done at once and still had plenty of room due to the design of the room (huge bathroom, separate vanity space, balcony, bar area, closed door living room).
The wedding pictures and photos with my husband were the true star. My wedding party of 20 was easily able to take pictures in the courtyard and polo lounge area without issue despite it being peak Christmas season. The metal frames and stairway made for breath taking bridal solo pictures and all hotel really came alive during the holiday season.
Haley and Genevieve were amazing to work with. Despite not truly being a Windsor Court bride, they treated me like one. I cannot recommend this hotel enough for bridal preparation and wedding party pictures for large groups.
We used the Windsor Court for bridal prep as well as our honeymoon suite the night of the Wedding. We requested a river view room and it was beautiful! The staff was very helpful and the hotel is very beautiful. We asked for late housekeeping after the wedding party left so it’d be clean when my husband and I would return later in the evening and it worked out perfectly. They’re also pet friendly so my dog was able to get ready with the girls. They also brought her up some PB&J treats and bowls.
We have loved and stayed at the Windsor Court Hotel since I was a little girl and I know my family has been going for over 20 years! When we decided to have our wedding in New Orleans, I knew exactly where we would be staying with our friends and family! The Windsor Court assigned us an employee who I was able to set up a room block and communicate with throughout the wedding planning process to book rooms for over 40 people! Kierra went above and beyond to help book these rooms to the exact specifications we needed for each person and couple! Ashley also communicated and helped my dad with setting up a Bloody Mary Bar the morning of the wedding! I cannot say enough about the Polo Lounge and the bartenders that put up with the amount of people that were in there Thursday-Sunday! Thank you so much for providing such a unique New Orleans experience for our guests! Lastly, the thought and care that went into the day of the wedding was unbelievable. The Windsor Courts suite that me and my 8 bridesmaids got dressed in was absolutely gorgeous and the perfect size for us to have fun, move around, and get dressed in! Not only did they Windsor Court come get my wedding dress and steam it for me but they also made sure the suite, that was used for getting dressed in, was spotless when Daniel and I got back from the wedding reception! We were greeted with champagne, strawberries, and a clean suite! We love the Windsor Court and could not have asked for a better experience on our wedding week!
Absolutely best hotel we have ever stayed in. Having our 50th Vow Renewal Ceremony there in December (we spent a week) was grand! The Christmas decor was stunning, the staff is so friendly and accomodating. The food was superb and our suite was incredible. It is on our bucket list for a return visit.
BEST RECEPTION EVER! Let me start off by saying the staff is absolutely amazing! On top of that the LA CHINOISERIE room is absolutely perfect. The balcony had amazing views, the ball room had amazing views and space, and the room next to the balcony was perfect for cocktail hour. The place is gorgeous and speaks for itself but what was superb was their attention to service and taking care of myself, the groom, and the entire wedding. We had around 135 people at our wedding and did a sit down dinner and it was the perfect size. This place was the foundation of our perfect wedding!
As a little girl, I envisioned one specific thing about my wedding – that it would be a fairy tale day. My dream came true! God provided some very special people to make my perfect day happen, one of whom was Ashley Wright at the Windsor Court.
When my mom and I met Ashley, there was an immediate peace that Ashley would make my reception exactly what I wanted: festive and beautiful with delicious brunch food. My husband (then fiancé) and I both have some food allergies – peanut, tree nuts, corn, pitted fruits, and gluten (yes, it sounds ridiculous!) – so we wanted a menu that would be free of all our allergens. And the space of the brunch had to be gorgeous. The La Chinoiserie ballrooms on the top floor of the Windsor Court overlook the Mississippi River and the city, providing elegance and spaciousness with delightful outdoor terraces, and would be perfect for the jazz brunch reception I envisioned. While this type of reception was a bit different than the typical, nighttime dinner reception, Ashley did not imply any judgment about my dream, only wanting to help me make my day what I wanted it to be. When Ashley confirmed that she could make all this happen, all within the budget we’d presented and on the Saturday of French Quarter Festival, my mom and I were ecstatic.
Then the planning started and, wow, was I even more impressed! Ashley set up an amazing tasting with the chef, at which time my parents and I sampled delicious allergen-free courses. For reception layout, Ashley and I communicated via phone, email, and Pinterest with layout ideas, and she took my parents and me on a walk-through to make sure we were all on the same page. She also met with my wonderful friend and wedding planner, Jerri Cullinan, and me on multiple occasions to sort out other important wedding details. All this time, Ashley was incredibly patient and supportive.
On my wedding day, everything was amazing. My planner worked with Ashley to arrange the wedding caravan from the hotel to Metairie Baptist Church and back. As the wedding party stayed back at the church for pictures, guests returned to the hotel for the reception and had the juice bar and hors d’oeuvres awaiting them in La Chinoiserie A, just as I’d requested. When my husband and I arrived, we began the receiving line in the foyer as Dr. jazz began playing in La Chinoiserie B, so guests moved from La Chin A through the receiving line then into La Chin B for dancing and brunch. The tables, food, and dance floor were arranged just as I’d requested. I had made a few more specific requests: the beautiful fruit juice bar before brunch then local boudin and Andouille and Mexican Coca-Cola with brunch. I also requested a special sparkling apple cider be shipped from Virginia for our wedding toast. Everything was there! And the brunch food was fabulous! The hours flew by and, before I knew it, my husband and I were hopping into a horse-drawn carriage as Dr. Jazz filled the air with jazz in the background of the well-wishes of our family and friends.
Ashley Wright and her team at the Windsor Court did an amazing job with my wedding reception. We still hear compliments from our friends and family that the wedding and reception were classic and beautiful, that the food was the best wedding food they’d ever eaten, and that the overall day was completely in-tune with who my husband and I are as a couple. To me, it was the best reception I’d ever attended. Every bride should be able to say that!
My husband, Steve and I love New Orleans and early in our relationship, we made a promise to each other that we would get married there - we just needed to find a venue. We live in the Northeast, so our initial search was via the internet. After reviewing a few hotels - we came across the elegant and luxurious Windsor Court Hotel. The website is easy to navigate and the pictures are lovely. I called Ashley Wright, the Catering Sales Manager. She was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. She was very prompt in answering all of my questions and made me feel like a "friend", not a client.
Upon our arrival to the Windsor Court, the staff made every effort to accommodate the needs of my 18 guests. Everyone, including the front desk staff, the concierge, the bell boy, the waitresses/waiters, the housekeepers were unbelievably courteous and friendly. They all made me feel like a queen.
Ashley was there with me, every step of the way, ensuring that everything I needed/requested was in place.
On the day of the wedding, Antonia, the waitress at breakfast BOUGHT me a mimosa and took care of ordering my flowers for the wedding (yes, I forgot). Within an hour, I had a beautiful bouquet of roses, my husband had his boutonniere and I had lovely centerpieces on the table for dinner.
The Palm Court and Library were the location for our wedding/dinner. It was the perfect intimate setting and the food was absolutely SPECTACULAR. Ashley helped me pick out the perfect menu including New Orleans beignets as our wedding desert!
The whole day could not have been more perfect. Yes, it was a wedding day, so I know my whole view is skewed. However, we stayed at the Windsor Court for four days and each day was better than the next.
While the food and the stay is more costly than some other hotels, I believe it is worth it. The staff really go the extra mile to make you feel like "home".
Thank you to Ashley, Antonia and everyone at the Windsor Court Hotel! Steve and I hope to see you very soon!!!!
With gratitude,
Jackie and Steve Bridges
I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with the Windsor Court and Catering Manager, Ashley Wright. From the time when Ashley gave me a tour of the hotel to the night of the wedding with her helping fix my bustle and dress- she was amazing! The most professional, calm and helpful planner!! Our wedding was a blast and the Windsor Court was the perfect venue for our reception! The service was top notch and the food was awesome. We danced the entire night and had a blast, the night went by so fast. Ashley did an excellent job a long with the whole staff at the Windsor Court. We will always love this hotel and cannot wait to go back and celebrate. Thank you for making our wedding wonderful!
I recently got married here and it was nowhere near our expectations. The accommodations that are suppose to be included were not. It is a beautiful hotel to stay in but not for a wedding and not for that kind of money. ALSO, THEY LIKE TO BLAME YOU FOR EVERYTHING!
The Windsor Court is known for its elegant ambiance, but I can't get over how perfect the bridal suite was. Ideal size for me and my 8 bridesmaids to primp for our waltz down the aisle. The room was clearly renovated recently - all the appliances and furniture was flawless and welcoming, while embodying the stateliness of a four star/four diamond hotel. The food in the Club lounge was delicious. The staff was superior. From our valet to the front desk and concierge to the porter who very quickly steamed my Maid of Honor's gown - everyone was happy, informative, helpful and expeditious. The Windsor Court is simply the finest hotel in New Orleans. And this is written by a former Ritz-Carlton employee.
Was not up to usual standards, had some major issues and it took several days of complaining to have them resolved. In the end nothing was done to compensate for the issues and I think considering everything I think we should have been taken more seriously.
My husband I were married in New Orleans and chose to have our reception at the Windsor Court Hotel's, La Chinoisseire ballroom. It is a FANTASTIC space! The entire top floor of the hotel serves as your reception space. Once you get off the elevator at the top floor, there is a lobby area, and two ballrooms which each have outside verandas overlooking the city and river! Kelly Roussell and Brent Bogan were our wedding coordinators there, and they were so helpful from start to finish. The staff are excellent and every detail is carefully planned and executed. We had our wedding in August, which is off season, so were able to get a substantial discount on our reception menu food and accomodations. There is also no rental fee for using the space, as long as you meet their food and beverage minimums for your guest count. Which is refreshing, since many of the places I called to book elsewhere charged extra for rental of the space on top of the food and beverage minimums. The bride (that was me)and groom were given a personal attendant each to make sure we always had food and beverage waiting on us. The food was superb, the venue setup on time, what can I say, it was perfect. :)
Absolutely perfect wedding venue! Took care of everything the day of. Had no stress on my wedding day because I knew that every detail was attended to. Also had a personal attendant following my husband and me around looking after everyone of our needs. The space was perfect, views were stunning. Cannot recommend enough!
Best hotel in town. It was perfection!
We stayed her the night before the wedding with my bridesmaids and had more than enough room and were upgraded to club level suite. It was PERFECT to take pictures in as we got ready and I love the new renovation. We also stayed there the wedding night and had fabulous service. Anything we needed the was at our door immediately after we asked for it! I couldn't imagine booking anywhere else!
We had our rehearsal dinner here in the private dining room in The Grill Room and all I can say is wow. The level of service they provided was impeccable. The food was amazing. They even sent out little amuse's shaped in hearts for the groom and I. Food was fantastic, service was luxurious, experience was unforgettable.
Our wedding planner was very professional. A bit non-specific however about what I could and could not get. Also was vague about pricing. I wish she had stayed for the reception. She left right after the ceremony and I think the service during the reception may have been better had she stayed and helped with the organization. I have not had any experiences with other wedding planners so I do not know how they usually run but I had hoped for a more involved planner who seems more invested in my wedding. Technically she was find, it seemed to me that she went down a checklist and that was as far invested in my wedding as she was going to be.
We had our wedding there... and it went off fabubulously! The venue was GORGEOUS.. and although they had never done a full Indian wedding before, they definitely went out of their way to make it wonderful! Kelly was very open to our ideas and helped us figure out how to make the day special. Also, the day of the wedding, our priest ran late, and Kelly and the other event manager (I am so sorry, I don't think I ever met him, but he was just so wonderful) made sure I stayed calm and directed me calmly to each event and kept the night moving smoothly. They also acted so happy and excited to be able to be a part of our night, which meant a lot to me! Also, the Chef made THE MOST AMAZING FOOD EVER! Given that it was their first full Indian Vegetarian wedding ever, the Chef really went out of his way to make a menu that we LOVED... and our friends and family cannot stop talking about the delicious food. It was a great night for us at the Windsor Court!!! :)
Great, great, great! The location, interior, atmosphere, food... The room was so nice and comfortable with the view on Harrah's and Downtown! A nice pool on the roof of the 4th (I believe) floor! The personnel is very friendly and professional! Recommend to everyone who wants to have the best experience and memories! It's the best hotel in the country!
Windsor court is beautiful. Some decor is outdated but it's still a really nice hotel.
We only stayed here for the honeymoon night and the night following, but it was a very classy hotel. We have certainly stayed in some upper end hotels, and this was very much along those lines. It is a staple of old New Orleans. The service was wonderful. People continuely addressed us by name and there were tons of other guests staying there for Jazz Festival. We were allowed to leave another car in the driveway for an extended time that was full of wedding junk! This was so helpful since parking in NOLA can be a problem, we already had 2 cars in their lot, and we wanted the car to be watched over. The only 2 complaints that I had was that we were in a honeymoon suite/penthouse, but no jacuzzi tub and that the room service breakfast wasn't exactly what we ordered. Nothing that would change my stay there, but something to take into coonsideration. Overall, it's a wonderful place to stay.
WONDERFUL! Enjoyed high tea with the "ladies" and my grandmother is still talking about it!
This is where we stayed for our honeymoon. It was perfect! Staff was extremely friendly and the place was gorgeous!
