We worked with Liz and Layne and we could not say enough good things about them all.
Our wedding was on the smaller size in terms of guests (150) - but hugely detailed and massively complicated in terms of the coordination factor. WINK! totally blew me away in two categories -- #1) Getting everything that was in my mind to actually happen in the real world...even when I couldn't communicate what was in my mind because I didn't really know...and #2) Giving me complete confidence that whatever happened, they would be able to manage and handle it without ever becoming a problem for me.
I was literally the happiest most carefree person ever on that day because I had full confidence that I didn't have to worry about a thing. They also gave us great vendor recommendations - all whom they personally trusted.
They are incredibly sweet, creative, but get what they need to done! Would recommend these ladies in a heartbeat.
We worked with Elizabeth Brandon and I cannot say enough good things about her! She is so responsive, creative, caring, and thinks of everything. I used Elizabeth as a partial/day-of planner, but she did so much more. Since we planned a destination wedding, I never had a chance to meet Elizabeth until our rehearsal. I trusted her completely and felt comfortable having her for our wedding from the very beginning. She responded quickly to every (and there were MANY) email I sent her. She had such great ideas and really helped me tie the whole wedding together to get a very cohesive feeling. I had so many questions because we planned an intimate wedding of 25 people, with the ceremony and reception in the same location. You don’t see many weddings of this size or structure, so it was hard to find a good sample on the wedding blogs. Liz had so many ideas on how the wedding should flow! She was flexible and did our rehearsal early (the day before our wedding, the venue was booked for another wedding) and she let me ship her some decor items for the wedding, since I didn’t have anywhere else to send them. I shipped a giant (and heavy) cornhole game to her that she lugged to the site for me and she was such a great sport about it! She even did some last minute decor assembly I did not get to finish. She went beyond wedding planner duties and helped out as if she were my best friend!
Elizabeth is able to stay calm and keep me calm! During the ceremony, my Grandmother fainted and an ambulance needed to be called. It was obvious that she had handled this sort of situation before. She helped keep all of my family so calm, and got the wedding back on track once they took my Grandma to the hospital.
Elizabeth is one of those people you feel like is an old friend the first time you meet her. I cannot thank her enough!
My husband and I worked with Elizabeth in Southern California for our wedding in Rancho Del Cielo in Malibu, CA and she was a godsend! Although Rancho Del Cielo was beautiful, it had its kinks as a venue and Elizabeth went above and beyond to make our wedding go off without a hitch. We had some issues; from a canyon fire that blocked a main way to get to our venue for rehearsal, to one of our vendors forgetting certain items the day of, and not to mention some communication issues amongst vendors and our venue, and yet she and her team worked what me and husband call miracles. She was the invisible hand throughout our wedding that made it absolutely amazing. I do not believe our wedding would have been as amazing without Elizabeth's insight and wisdom; she helped so much and not just up to the wedding, but after. She had wonderful tips and throughout the process and afterwards, such as recommendations for dress preservation and etiquette, etc. All in all we had such an amazing wedding that a week after, we miss it all. I highly recommend Elizabeth! She is fun, quirky, and truly cares about her clients. You will be in good hands and brides---Keep Calm. Elizabeth is your Wedding Planner.
We worked with Jenn and she was just the best! I would recommend her in a heartbeat!! Even if you think you have it altogether (I consider myself very organized), it's the most amazing thing to be able to hand over your work to someone you trust & just experience every moment of your wedding!
Leading Up to the Wedding: She was always available via phone and email - so responsive! She always shared tips and suggestions while keeping our priorities, desires and budget top of mind. In the end, she recommended our DJ, venue & rehearsal luncheon location - all of which we were thrilled with! We also used Wink! for the a design session where Carolyn met with us to understand what we're looking for and created vision boards for us to share with our vendors. This was such a wonderful way to collect our ideas and get a consistent vision early on. It made planning and decisions much easier as time went along.
Rehearsal: She was thorough yet efficient. Everyone knew what to expect and we all had fun doing it - even in the rain! She took that time to walk the space a final time to discuss details and confirm that we were all on the same page one final time.
Day Of: She was a *dream*! Jenn found the perfect balance between keeping us on schedule and letting us enjoy the moment. We were on a fairly tight schedule and Jenn made sure we stuck to it while still getting the pictures and video we wanted, the special dances, and some time to just mingle and enjoy ourselves. My fiance & my parents all raved about her as well - saying how she made sure everything was packed away at the end of the night.
We've loved working with Jenn & may need to find an excuse to keep emailing her! :D
"You're engaged! Congratulations! Here, call WINK! Weddings. Ask for Liz, Tayler, and Mary Laura." I think I've had this conversation a dozen times since working with WINK! All three of these wonderful women were outstanding and made our wedding more than we could have dreamed!
The timeline they created was excellent and kept everything moving without feeling rushed. It was detailed and masterful, so you know nothing will be forgotten or overlooked.
Tayler and Mary Laura were phenomenal stepping in last minute to be our day of coordinators. Mary Laura is sweet, genuine, and beyond patient and Talyer is enthusiastic, thoughtful, and attentive. Having them there was such a relief knowing that all the details my husband and I couldn't oversee would be artfully executed. They communicated with our vendors throughout the day and even saw us off at the end of the evening. I am also so grateful they helped coordinate the surprise shadow puppet show I performed for my guests and husband at the reception. I was hesitant about it, but they jumped right in and together we made it happen. Both were so personal too, taking and sending me pictures with their iPhones even days after! They were always three steps ahead and are just wonderful at what they do!!
We didn't get to see Liz at our wedding, but she is wonderfully organized, spirited, and you just get the sense that everything will get done under her watch. She was so effusive at all our meetings about all the details my husband and I planned. She also has great taste!
We only hired WINK! as our day-of coordinators because my husband and I are pretty organized and felt confident talking to vendors. For someone who might need a little extra help, I would definitely ask for full planning but no matter what, you'll have a wonderful experience with WINK!
