Wintergarden at PPG Place

The Wintergarden was amazing from start to finish through this whole process. Shauna is the most responsive wedding professional we worked with through all of the planning. Her team, Emily and Tiffany, were both equally as awesome. Aside from the venue being absolutely beautiful, the food and drinks were outstanding. Bartenders, chef, and waitstaff killed it as well!!! I can’t recommend this place enough. 

The Wintegarden....where do we even begin??? This was one of the greatest experiences we could have possibly asked for. We are so so happy with the decision to hire the Wintergarden for our Wedding venue. They went above and beyond in every possible facet throughout the entire process. Shauna, Emily, Tiffany and Chef Josh were so easy to work with and truly made the entire experience seamless! Towards the beginning, we were mostly working with Shauna, but as we got closer towards the wedding (taste testing, etc.) we started to work closely with the entire staff. We put together a list of venues that we were interested in, and we started scheduling tours of these venues roughly a year and a half before our wedding date. My wife knew she wanted the Wintergarden to be honest, but we wanted to give other places a chance. We toured the Wintergarden first, and Shauna gave us a full tour of the venue and thoroughly explained how everything was going to work. She was already so easy to work with, we walked out of there and decided to cancel all of our other venue tours. We knew the Wintergarden was the one the second we walked out.... From the start, we knew we did not want to hire a wedding planner, because we were expecting a large wedding and we just didn't think we could justify it in our budget. Ultimately, this was something we were slightly nervous about in the beginning, but we quickly came to realize that Shauna is just as good as any wedding planner! We know that's technically not her title, but working with her leading up to the wedding made us quickly forget about the fact that we didn't have a dedicated wedding planner. We truly cannot say enough great things about her. The entire Wintergarden team was in constant communication with us the entire time. We had our food tasting and the food blew us away....which we saw on other reviews. That was one of the main reasons we were interested in the Wintergarden from the start. We ended up asking if there was any way we could make all of the food Halal, and they didn't hesitate to make this accommodation. Not only were they okay with this, they didn't charge us anything extra! We ended up having to change multiple aspects of the menu that we picked out and they were more than okay with it. Chef Josh wasn't phased at all and the food was unbelievable the night of the wedding. Even during the cocktail hour, people kept coming up to us raving about the appetizers. We wanted to try to separate a portion of the bar for people who don't drink alcohol. They set up a satellite bar for us on the other side of the venue and this bar was labeled as a non-alcoholic one. All of these are just small examples of how they want above and beyond to make sure we had the greatest experience we possibly could have. The venue itself is soooo gorgeous, that you really don't need to do much to decorate it. They already provide you with all the linens, silverware, charger plates, chairs and glassware. All you need are your florals. They even provided battery operated candles for us, it looked amazing. We had 265 guests, not including vendors. Our wedding was a major success. We're a month out and we still have people continuously telling us that it was probably the best wedding they've ever been to....and again, no wedding planner. We could truly write another 10 paragraphs about the Wintergarden, but there's a character limit. Needless to say, BOOK THEM FOR YOU WEDDING!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!

Shauna and her team were top-notch throughout the entire process. They took amazing care of us, didn't miss a single detail, and made our big day a tremendous success. They went above and beyond to communicate with our other vendors to ensure that everyone could operate smoothly and on very reasonable timelines. The food and bar received so many compliments from guests, both on quality and service. On top of the amazing level of service that we received, the venue is hands down the most iconic one in the city. Can't wait for our photos.

This was the best day of our lives and was made entirely possible by Shauna, Tiffany, Emily, Chef Josh, and their AMAZING team at The Wintergarden. They host incredible events every weekend yet they made us feel so special and welcome. Our family and friends could not stop commenting on the delicious food, gorgeous venue, great drinks, and all around incredible atmosphere. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

From the moment my now wife and I saw this place, we knew our wedding had to be held here. Shauna and her staff at Wintergarden are hands down, the greatest group of people to work with. They are unbelievably organized, incredible with transparency and communication, so inviting, and really know how to help throw an unforgettable wedding. The food was to die for; everyone raved over how good it was. And based on pictures, it goes without even saying, but the venue is spectacular. You could not ask for a more perfect and beautiful venue in Pittsburgh to hold your wedding. We can't stop thinking about and reliving every moment of our night there, because it was simply so perfect. Let me start out with how beautiful and wonderful The Wintergarden facility is. My daughter's wedding reception was held here on 5/31/25 and we all are extremely happy and over the moon with the way the event unfolded. The coordinating staff of Shauna, Tiffany and Emily are very understanding of our needs, accommodating and first class. They made the entire process of planning and holding a wedding reception of 200 plus guest a breeze. They took care of every detail, large or small, to make the experience the best. Everything went off without a hitch. The food was above excellent, and the bartenders and servers were all first class and very accommodating. I highly recommend The Wintergarden facility for your next wedding reception and/or event. You will not be disappointed. If I could give The Wintergarden a 6 out of 6 star rating, I would, unfortunately I am limited to giving it the maximum of 5 out of 5 star excellent rating this site allows. Thank you to everyone! Book this venue. Absolutely nowhere else will top the experience you will get with PPG. When we got engaged in 2023, we found this venue on The Knot and immediately reached out to book a tour and the reviews speak for themselves. The second we walked in and met Shauna, we were sold. This is the only venue we toured and knew within seconds of being there it was the one for us. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful but the true magic of it is because of the incredible people who work there. Shauna is truly an angel on Earth and will do whatever it takes to make your day exactly how you want it to be. She was the best and easiest person to communicate with and she never asked questions, no matter the requests we had - she just made it happen. Tiffany and Emily knew our plans better than we did ourselves and made the day of go without a single hiccup. Our day was absolutely perfect because of these three people - not one single thing went wrong (and I mean not one single thing) and they brought our vision together better than we could have ever imagined. I also cannot forget Marty - every single person who came to our wedding raved about Marty’s service and just who he was as a person. I could not have asked for a better bartender to keep the party alive and bring such joy to all of our favorite people on our new favorite day. I cannot say enough good things about this venue or the people who are a part of it. Our wedding day will go down as the best of our lives, and it is because of the people we got to work with during this process!!

Hosting our wedding at the Wintergarden was a phenomenal experience from beginning to end. Shauna, Emily, Tiffany and Chef Josh are all outstanding. They made our wedding planning as stress-free as possible with their expert guidance, quick response to questions, and day of coordination. Every single detail was perfect, and our guests are still raving about the food, service, people and ambiance over a week later. We had the absolute BEST experience working with Shauna, Emily, and Tiffany at the Wintergarden - if you are even slightly considering having your wedding there, you will not be disappointed! After touring the venue a year and a half prior to our wedding date, my husband and I were completely blown away by the space and knew we had to have our reception there. We were looking for an elegant and timeless venue in the city, and the Wintergarden is just that! The space itself is not only stunning but it also comes with so much offered in-house, which definitely helped eased some of the planning stress because we didn’t have to coordinate outside food, drink, linens, etc. Shauna is fantastic to work with - she answered any and all questions we had in record time and was extremely organized and easy to work with. During our wedding weekend, Emily and Tiffany were just as great! The food here is insane (so many compliments, thank you Chef Jeff!) and the service is top notch. We could not have imagined our wedding day anywhere else - thank you to the whole Wintergarden team for helping to make our dreams come true!!

We loved working with everyone at the Wintergarden. Shauna and the rest of the team made the day run absolutely seamlessly and were more than happy to accommodate our requests. Plus the food was absolutely to die for! Our guests raved about the quality and portion sizes of the meal. We waited 2.5 years for our big day and it was absolutely perfect thanks to everyone’s hard work at the Wintergarden!

We as newlyweds, just like you understand how important where your going to host your special day is. The Wintergarden and the entire team there are second to none. Just about all of our guests made numerous comments about how absolutely stunning this place was and how incredible friendly the entire staff was. I cannot begin to recommend our coordinator Shauna and her team more as they were absolutely vital in making sure our special day was stress free. They went above and beyond for us and I know they'll do the same for you! Seriously this venue in our honest opinion is flaw free and you will not regret choosing this beautiful venue as the start of your forever! -Asa & Shay

PROS: This place is BREATHTAKING. It truly checked all of my boxes in terms of aesthetic for the vision I had for my wedding which was very romantic and whimsical. Shauna, the event planner, was AMAZING to work with. She is so sweet and super efficient! She took care of everything and responded in a timely manner. No wedding planner needed! (maybe a day of or month of depending on preference). Staff was super nice and accommodating and made my husband and I feel like royalty. Food was amazing and all of my guests complimented how delicious it was and how they were very pleased that it was actually warm as so many weddings they have gone to the food was cold. The servers were super-efficient as well and everyone was eating in no time. CONS: BEWARE, NO REHEARSAL. This was the only drawback to the day. The venue does not guarantee a rehearsal the day before your event as they usually have another event the day before yours. I opted for a rehearsal, and they told me it would have to be between 1 and 3 pm the day before, which is a terrible time for people who work, and they said it could not be guaranteed. There ended up being an event the day before, so we were unable to do a rehearsal. The annoying thing about that is that they expect the bridal party/parents to be at the venue 45 minutes before you walk down the isle, ON YOUR WEDDING DAY, to do a "quick" rehearsal right before you get married. I hated the idea of getting fake married before getting actually married right before your ceremony as it would take away the specialness of the actual moment, but there was simply no other option. We did a first look so it wasn't like the Groom saw me for the first time at the rehearsal, but I couldn't imagine this scenario if a couple chose not to do a first look. Also, we paid a lot of money for our photographer, and this took time out of our day from photos to do this rehearsal. Also, there is no way to enter the Wintergarden without your guests seeing you. There will always be those guests that arrive super early, and I was seen by several people before walking down the isle which was disappointing to me. Lastly, the acoustics in the place are very tricky. It was hard to hear the speeches of anyone even on the microphone.

Shauna and her team were amazing for our wedding in August. I still to this day hear the raves about the food and venue. They took care of everything in a very professional manner and I cannot thank them enough!

Our wedding reception at the PPG Wintergarden was absolutely perfect. From starting everything with Shauna, to executing everything day-of with Tiffany, they exceeded all of our expectations. The coordinating team accommodated every special request and made the day so special. They were extremely responsive, professional, and also game great input when needed. The venue is so unique and beautiful. The food was another huge hit that everyone enjoyed. I would highly recommend the Wintergarden to anyone.

From start to finish, Wintergarden was communicative, professional, and easy to work with. Shauna’s experience at the venue and in wedding planning showed so clearly when helping us bring our vision to life, and she was quick to help answer any of our questions along the way. We had our wedding reception at the PPG Wintergarden on July 20, 2024 and it was a dream come true!! It was exactly what we were looking for in our search of wedding venues! We wanted something that showcased Pittsburgh, was classic, timeless, and beautiful . We got all of that and more at the Wintergarden! All of staff are truly incredible to work with! Shauna is with you every step of the way, and will always be there to promptly answer any questions or concerns you have. She is also just a true delight to work with! We had Emily working with us on the day of the wedding and she truly made the day feel so enjoyable and effortlessly perfect! The Wintergarden team works so hard to make you feel at home, comfortable and special! The food was absolutely incredible!! All of our guests raved about each dish! From the appetizers to the salads to our main dish - everything was cooked perfectly! I didn’t get to finish my dinner because I was talking with guests, and they made sure to wrap up my food to take with me at the end of the night. We also had a wonderful waitress named Maggie, who made sure my husband and I always had food and drinks whenever we needed. She was the best! Our guests still cannot stop talking about the beautiful venue and kind staff! We especially loved whenever it got dark in the evening and the venue lights up inside! It is truly like something out of a movie! I could not recommend the PPG Wintergarden enough!! It is the perfect place to hold any special event! We could not have asked for a better venue than the Wintergarden. Shauna made the planning process so smooth and was incredible to work with through the entire process - always responding quickly to our questions, helping us understand the best way to layout our vision and making it come to life. The day of coordinators, Emily and Tiffany, were absolutely amazing and helped us pull everything together. They helped keep us on schedule and make sure everything was moving. The venue looked stunning when we arrived for our reception and the service was great. No one ever waited in a line for drinks and there were constantly people buzzing around making sure everything was good. The food was probably the best food we have ever had at a wedding and our guests have echoed that feedback. Our wedding was perfection thanks to this amazing venue and team! Sales coordinator Shauna was incredibly responsive and knowledgeable. She gave us ideas and opinions when we needed help making decisions that shaped our day. Our food tasting with Shauna was so efficient and organized, it left us feeling like we’d be in good hands for the day of which we absolutely were. Our day of coordinators, Emily and Tiffany, were also amazing. It felt like they were one step ahead of us all day, handling basically all the setup and tear down, offering us food when we needed it, making adjustments as we asked, and much more. The food (and Chef Josh) also deserves its own shout out. So many guests complimented the unique food and side options, and said it was some of the best wedding food they’ve had. The cocktail hour snacks went over great as well. In terms of the venue itself, we couldn’t have asked for anything better. We did both our ceremony and reception in the Wintergarden space with about 160 guests. Between events, the space was seamlessly transformed from ceremony seating the reception ready. All of our guests gave the venue and team high compliments. We loved the lighting and how it turned into a real party atmosphere as it got darker. All in all - perfection!

Wintergarden was everything I could dream of for a wedding venue! It has a lot of natural light from the windows and doesn’t need a lot of extra decor to make it beautiful. The staff was super helpful, attentive and quick with responses. The food was phenomenal. I couldn’t recommend it enough!

The staff at the Wintergarden offer and execute a premium wedding experience. They are incredibly organized, proactive, and customer-centric. We emailed / called Shauna tons of questions over the 11 months, and she always answered promptly and actively followed up on anything left outstanding. The day of and day before, all the staff were very helpful and doing whatever they could to decrease stress on us / our family. When I was a little girl and I had a piano recital at the Wintergarden, I knew that if I was going to get married in Pittsburgh, this is where I would have it! My husband (fiance back then) and I had the honor of working with Shauna throughout the whole planning process. She was very attentive and responsive to all of our questions. She was very well organized and a pleasure to work with. Emily and Tiffany helped with the day of and they were amazing! I, nor my now husband, had ever been to a wedding where the food was 10/10. Everything was delicious! Every guest has raved to us about how amazing the food was! My husband and I have been to be a bunch of Michelin restaurants and if I do say so myself, the Wintergarden should be on there because of Chef Josh! To the highest of all recommendations, we had the best experience working with the Wintergarden team.

I truly cannot recommend Wintergarden enough. The venue is absolutely beautiful (and photographed amazingly) and the food was way beyond what we were expecting - we’re still getting compliments on it. Shauna, Emily and Tiffany are amazing. Shauna was one step ahead of me the entire wedding planning process and Emily and Tiffany made sure the entire day went off without a hitch. I didn’t have a wedding planner or day of coordinator, and I was still able to fully enjoy my day and not worry about anything because they managed to stay on top of everything the entire day. They were also just unbelievably nice and friendly, and really fun to work with. So grateful to the Wintergarden team!!

The perfect aesthetic + utmost professionalism and organization. When I walked into Wintergarden to tour the venue, I immediately fell in love and felt that it was "the one" based on looks alone. Now, post-wedding, I recognize that not only is it a beautiful venue, but the total package. The food is all in-house and was honestly incredible. I don't ever expect wedding food to be anything to write home about, but Wintergarden really commits to making exceptional meals and we heard this as feedback from guests as well. The team at Wintergarden, featuring the incredible Shauna, is incredibly responsive. In the two YEARS leading up to my wedding, there wasn't an email or message that Shauna didn't answer promptly, and quite honestly it was often within the same hour. It seemed that the notes from old conversations or planning meetings were always maintained and organized - I never had to send repeat requests or make corrections. We worked with Shauna and our planner, Madeline Kelly, to build our layout and wedding timeline, and Wintergarden was extremely amenable to accommodating our preferences and requests. I think the beauty of this venue really speaks for itself and is worth booking. But knowing the food, the team, and the all around experience is all equally as exceptional as the space makes Wintergarden truly a uniquely special find. I whole heartedly recommend it to all!

We recently had the pleasure of working with the excellent team at the Wintergarden for my daughter's wedding reception. Shauna, Emily, Tiffany and Chef Josh were absolutely incredible in every aspect. The venue setup is perfect. The food was amazing, with guests raving to me about the quality and how the staff was able to serve 175 guests so quickly and efficiently. Every person on the staff was absolutely phenomenal. The day went exactly as planned thanks to everyone around us keeping everything on track. Not only were the moments amazing, the food was the talk of the town after! When they recommend the short rib, go with it! Wow... where to start! First of all, what an absolutely stunning venue. This place looks incredible any time of the year. Second, the service was top notch. Shauna, Tiffany, and Emily were responsive, hardworking, and dedicated to make our day perfect. Third, the FOOD. Our guests told us that it was the best wedding food they had ever had, and I would have to concur! The Vegetable Bolognese is under-rated, it was delicious. From start to finish, the planning process was seamless and easy. I cannot thank the staff at the Wintergarden enough for making our wedding dreams come true! If you are thinking of booking your wedding here, do it!
