This was a wonderful venue for us! We did both the ceremony and reception here which is not very common, but it went wonderfully. Our wedding was in the middle of July with about 200 guests, and the venue never got hot!! Not only was the building breathtaking, the owners were wonderful to work with. I highly recommend this venue to anyone to who is looking to get married in beautiful, historic downtown Georgetown.
I couldn't have imagined having my wedding and reception at any other venue. Winyah Indigo Society Hall was stunning f
Beautiful location and building. This historic scenery gave our reception the exact old-soul feel to match our personalities and taste. It was very functional with the various room and elevator for elderly guests. Parking was a slight problem for elderly having to walk a distance . Rental is more expensive that we originally wanted to spend, but for the amount of time you have the venue and the tables and chairs included, it can be justified. our biggest disappointment was that the chairs were extremely dirty, stained, and scratched. We had chosen to not have chair covers so we lost a significant amount of time cleaning chairs.
