Using Wisteria as our florist was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Steph was a dream, so easy to work with. She had the creative acumen to turn a few Pinterest pictures into a perfect, vibrant, cohesive design over the course of a few meetings. She was always ready to hear and accommodate our specific ideas, but after speaking with her several times she honestly had a better grasp of what we wanted than we did. We turned pretty much all decisions over to her and she knocked it out of the park. Steph organized exactly what florals we would need at each stage of the event, and the plan to get everything in place. Day-of, she set everything up within the tight time constraint imposed by the venue. She moved pieces around, repurposing ceremony florals for the reception in the most creative ways. Our engaged friends in attendance all took covert pictures of the centerpieces, and we had a parade of Aunts come up to us specifically to gush about the flowers. 100% would recommend Steph and Wisteria to anyone in the DC area.

Stephanie contributed to a seamless and gorgeous wedding day. She is truly an artist, with such an eye for floral arrangement, selection, and color. Even with supply chain issues due to COVID, she was flexible, creative, and made sure that our arrangements were everything we envisioned! Couldn’t speak more highly of Stephanie and Wisteria.

Stephanie is AMAZING! All of the flowers she chose for our reception decorations, boutonnieres, and bouquets were beautiful and unique. Everything was personally tailored to complement our wedding colors and overall vision, and we couldn't be happier with the final product. She is the utmost professional and a joy to work with - kind, hard-working, communicative, and a creative genius. When our original wedding date was postponed because of the pandemic, she was so understanding and helpful in rescheduling everything. We absolutely plan on working with her again - whenever we need beautiful floral arrangements, she will be the first person we call. Highly highly recommend!!

Stephanie did an amazing job on my florals! I used to work for a florist and had seen so many beautiful bouquets and centerpieces I had NO clue what I wanted. But I told Stephanie what the theme and inspiration was for the overall day of my wedding and she came up with the perfect plan. I was really nervous to see everything the day of but when I saw my bouquet and all the florals I was blown away… they were perfect! Everyone took home centerpieces they loved them so much (they were wreaths so there was no container for them). She was also really good about my budget and any last minute changes I had. I’d highly recommend!

We are so glad that we went with Wisteria for may daughter's wedding in Alexandria. They exchanged vows and had a Chinese Wedding Tea ceremony in a lovely garden, followed by a an elegant and intimate reception in Old Town. I really appreciated having a private consultation with Stephanie. I was able to share some details with her, and she took it from there. She has remarkable talent and vision. The flowers were stunning!

Stephanie at Wisteria was amazing! As a bride getting married in winter, I was so worried my bouquet would look drab and lifeless: both the flowers and the colors. My bouquet absolutely popped and was everything I wanted and more! We met with Stephanie a few times before. We didn't physically see much in terms of what our flowers would look like, but Stephanie had a plan in mind and they were beautiful. Our table pieces and entry way floral arrangement was also great. We highly recommend her -- she knows what she's doing.

Stephanie and the team at Wisteria did an incredible job with our wedding flowers! We did all of our personal flowers through Wisteria and she did a great job bringing our vision to life and helping us figure out exactly what we wanted (since neither of us knew ANYTHING about flowers). She was always prompt in responding, easy to work with, and was so organized and on top of all the details. Our flowers turned out even better than we could have imagined and our whole bridal party loved their bouquets/boutonnières/corsages.

Stephanie at Wisteria was the only florist I contacted who wanted to meet me in person for the initial consultation, which I appreciated because I really had no idea what I wanted in terms of flowers. Stephanie listened to what I did want, showed me lots of examples and was patient when explaining why something wouldn't necessarily work. I was confident after we talked that she knew the basics of what I wanted and would ad-lib as necessary to fill it out. She did warn that, as a small business, she had to take one event at a time so I wouldn't expect to hear from her until a little closer to my wedding. When we did reconvene, I feel like I had to jog her memory a bit, but once we were on the same path again, we were good to go. My flowers were beautiful and perfect for the space - they were what I envisioned and more because I trusted Stephanie to do what she does best!

The Wisteria team did an incredible job with our wedding florals. Stephanie was thoughtful and helpful when it came to listening to my vision for the day and making sound recommendations on how to go about achieving it based on her many years of experience. Correspondence was super responsive and clear as well, which was very important to me in finding a quality vendor relationship. Considerate of both my needs as well as my budget, it was definitely a partnership bringing it altogether. On the day of the event, the team was on time and set up everything to perfection. When I did a quick walkthrough prior to the ceremony, I knew everything was in good hands and didn't have anything to worry about. Couldn't recommend the Wisteria team more highly - definitely consider working with them for your wedding!

Wisteria was amazing! Very easy to work with from phone consults, in person discussions and to follow up confirmation emails the week prior to the wedding. Stephanie truly captured exactly what I was looking for, while also using blooms that were perfectly in season, open and beautiful. Her attention to detail and listening to my requests made my day magical. She and her team did a phenomenal job and delivered the flowers to the venue right on schedule, even with the fact that they had never been there before! Couldn't recommend Wisteria more to all couples. You won't be disappointed!

Working with Stephanie was fantastic! We threw together a wedding in under 3 months, and she was so accommodating and understood the exact “vibe” I was going for... her floral choices were gorgeous and spot on, from the bouquets and smal table arrangements to the backdrop/stage decorations. We couldn't be more pleased with the fabulous job Stephanie and the Wisteria team did for our wedding! The flowers were absolutely breathtaking and have been commented on multiple times in the limited number of photos that friends and family posted from our wedding two weeks ago. I highly, highly recommend working with Stephanie and the team at Wisteria for your wedding. Not only was Stephanie incredibly easy to work with and very communicative, but the floral arrangements were simply stunning and she did a fantastic job at bringing the vision I had to life! I was having a larger wedding (170 people, large bridal party, different church and reception sites) and Stephanie ironed out details of our arrangements and bouquets perfectly. Not having done this before (and also not knowing much about floral arrangements) I knew the general look and direction I wanted to head...but not much else. In the months before the wedding, Stephanie's thoughts, direction, recommendations and suggestions were so helpful and I felt like she really listened to understand the look I wanted to achieve (even though I probably wasn't the best at describing it). When we came down to the last few weeks before the wedding, Stephanie's organization, timeliness, and responsiveness were so crucial in feeling all set and relaxed for the big day. My bridesmaids all loved their bouquets (Stephanie created them all to look a little different) and so many guests at the wedding complemented me on the ceremony arrangements and also the arrangements at the reception. I would work with Stephanie again in a heartbeat!

Stephanie was absolutely amazing to work with, and her final products are breathtaking! After having a hard time finding a florist who was available to even sit down and discuss what I wanted, I stumbled upon Stephanie, who was an amazing breath of fresh air. She listened, asked questions, and truly got to know my husband and I and what we were looking for. Never once did she pressure us into more flowers than we wanted, nor did she think our ideas were uneducated or silly. She even designed a collar of greenery for our pup, who was in the wedding! The arrangements were absolutely stunning, and seeing her on the day of our wedding was such a wonderful surprise. She radiates joy and happiness, and I can't recommend her enough.

Stephanie and the Wisteria team truly saved the day at our wedding! My husband and I had such a hard time tracking down a chuppah for a Jewish ceremony. Every chuppah we could find was either too large or too small or had a ridiculous rental minimum. Stephanie and her team were able to come up with a chuppah for us last minute on top of all the fabulous arrangements they made for my special day. We fully trusted Stephanie and we are so glad we did. We wanted lush greenery and white flowers to compliment the wooden architectural elements of our wedding venue. Every piece was a piece of art and so beautifully and lovingly made it took our wedding to the absolute next level.

We hired Stephanie for our Oct 28 wedding. I saw her work on the Knot and Instagram and fell in love. Stephanie had another wedding booked that day but agreed to squeeze us in after I told he how much I loved her work. Although we were with another wedding, we never felt as though we were competing for time. On the day of, our flowers were gorgeous! She also made our cake topper and it looked amazing! We loved working with Stephanie and would absolutely recommend her to anyone.

Stephanie and her team at Wisteria were absolutely phenomenal to work with. The process started with me sending pictures of things I thought were pretty for a backyard wedding when I knew zero things about flowers. Stephanie took the time to talk with me over the phone to make sure she was creating something original and within my budget. The arch "swag" as we called it was the perfect backdrop for my ceremony and I didn't want to put my matching bouquet down. What a pleasure from start to finish.

I couldn't have been happier with the flower arrangements by Wisteria. I had a fairly specific idea of what I wanted and Stephanie made it happen. She used some beautiful seasonal substitutions and created a number of lush, romantic and artistic arrangements that fit perfectly into the space. The venue of our small wedding was our modern home, so the loose, full arrangements were a gorgeous contrast. I'm already trying to brainstorm occasions as an excuse to work with Wisteria again. Maybe a holiday party?

Stephanie is the most amazing and talented florist! My daughter and I met with her and discussed ideas of what we wanted for her wedding, and Stephanie far exceeded anything we could have imagined. The florals for the church and reception were simply spectacular! She took such great care with every detail. It seemed to us that each arrangement was unique and special. After the wedding we shared flowers with friends and family to their great delight, and we all continued to enjoy them for well over a week. Stephanie made this part of the wedding easy, fun, and magical!

I've always thought wedding bouquets were kind of kitschy, but from the moment I saw Stephanie's work here on TheKnot I was in love. Her work is unique and inspired, and absolutely stunning. As a bride coming in from out of town, Stephanie and I communicated through email, phone, and lots of photos--she was wonderful throughout all of these emails etc. We met once in person a few days before my wedding and she and her assistant were experts in their work making helpful suggestions like, our 2-yr-old flower girl would prefer a basket to a posy (she loved the basket so much she barely let go of it) and that white boutineers would look best on the men's navy suits. The day of the flowers were delivered to the church and I was running about 15 minutes late, but as soon as I saw the bouquets for me and my bridesmaids, I had a moment of calm brought on by how stunning--literally I was stunned--her work was. Everyone throughout the day commented on how romantic and beautiful the flowers were. They were exactly what I'd dreamed of and more! Wisteria is definitely a company I highly recommend.

I planned a destination wedding in VA from far away in MN and I was so nervous about how my flowers would turn out. Well...I did not have to worry! Stephanie listened to my vision and created the most gorgeous wedding flowers I could have ever imagined. They were absolutely beautiful and you could tell she really cares about every single flower. Just wonderful!

Stephanie's floral designs are absolute perfection. We received so many compliments at our wedding about the flowers at the ceremony, the bouquets, and the centerpieces. Also, Stephanie is great to work with - incredibly flexible and customized everything to meet our vision. Stephanie took our (very minimal) guidance and created a beautiful scene at a very low price. She has impeccable taste and gave us a gorgeous selection of table arrangements, plus a perfect bouquet. I can't recommend Wisteria highly enough!

Stephanie was fantastic to work with! I had a vague idea of what I wanted my flowers to look like and Stephanie was great at translating my general wishes into specifics. We had a great first meeting during which we walked through all of the details of the day and brainstormed what we would incorporate based on the season. Not only were blown away by the beauty and freshness of all the arrangements, but Stephanie is super organized and communicative which helps keeps thing stress-free, an absolute must for any bride!

I was incredibly impressed with Stephanie's work. We met in her studio over the summer, where I didn't have a vision or an idea of what I wanted. The flowers at my wedding and reception were absolutely beautiful! Stephanie has great ideas and she only uses the freshest flowers. We met twice before the wedding. I showed her a few ideas of what I had seen, and she took it from there. The best thing about Stephanie is that you can trust her. She truly cares about the flowers and the arrangements. When the begonias we wanted were not available, she suggested an alternative that was even better than our original idea. For centerpieces, we did a combination of cut flowers and potted flowers. This helped with cost. Stephanie recommended using succulents, which are very popular these days, especially for an environmentally conscious bride. Guest who took home the potted arrangements enjoyed them for weeks after the wedding. The bridal and bridal party bouquets were exquisite. The flowers lasted for days. I loved everything about the flowers at my wedding. My guests still comment on them. I highly recommend Wisteria for your wedding florist.

We loved working with Stephanie for our wedding last month. We didn't have a lot of knowledge about types of flowers, etc and she had great ideas and gave us a lot of guidance. What she came up with really matched our vision and we received many compliments on our flowers. I definitely recommend Stephanie and Wisteria!

My wedding was 2 weekends ago and Stephanie was my florist. During our previous meetings I only told Stephanie what my color scheme was and I let her do her thing. Honestly, they were better than I imagined! The bouquets, centerpieces, and ceremony arraignments were all perfect!

Stephanie was very attentive to our vision and was extremely helpful with providing feedback on which flowers would hold up throughout the day, what would go well with what, which flowers were in season, etc. It was such a relief to know that we were dealing with a true professional that really takes pride in her work. She listened to every detail that I wanted and the results were spectacular from the centerpieces to the bouquets! I highly recommend Wisteria Studios!

We found Stephanie from the preferred vendor list for our venue. We initially met with her in December 2013 for our July 2014 nuptials; she was one of our first vendor meetings (we did not yet have a coordinator). Upon our initial consultation, you could really tell that she knew what she was talking about – guiding novices around the entire process. She made great recommendations off our ideal look and provided a thorough proposal (delivered by mail). Once we hired our wedding coordinator, the coordinator reviewed said proposal and recommended that we schedule another meeting to ensure a cohesive look. We, our coordinator, and Stephanie met in early June to review the venue floor plan, overall design, and timeline. What started as a regular review of the proposal went very poorly once we began discussing design. Stephanie was not very appreciative of our amendments (making four medium-sized arrangements into three smaller ones) and very hesitant of agreeing to our first look (strongly insinuating that our flowers will die if we had one). The coordinator had to push for both the new aesthetic and the timeline – which made us feel incredibly uncomfortable. In addition, Stephanie charged us a wait fee that was never stipulated prior just so that we could have our flowers for the first look. It was a very agitating and disappointing meeting; it was not a pleasant experience and one we were expecting with our florist. In regards to the product, we LOVED the bridal bouquet and the attendant’s flowers. We felt underwhelmed by the table flowers and the birch tree alter. Most of all, we felt far more let down by the inflexibility of (and added wait fee for) Stephanie. It really put a damper on our final days of planning, adding unnecessary stress to an already-stressful day. If you are planning your wedding without additional assistance, Stephanie is great at guiding you and providing the flowers that she wants. If you have a wedding planner or coordinator we would strongly suggest that you do not use Stephanie.

Wisteria provided really beautiful flowers! We loved how she incorporated the colors, textures and flowers we requested. The bridal bouquet was particularly beautiful! The centerpieces were also a big hit -- we love how she incorporated artichokes for something a little different!

Working with Stephanie was an amazing experience, she was so intuitive and able to bring my vision to life! Everything was beautiful and she is a delight to work with!

I had six weeks to plan my wedding so my planning had to be stress-free! An Old Town florist recommended that I contact Wisteria. The wedding bouquets on their website were beautiful so I contacted the owner, Stephanie, and was thrilled when she replied that she could help me out! We met the next day at her studio to do the consultation. It was very calm, relaxing, and quiet in her studio so I had no problem explaining what I wanted. During the consultation she was very thoughtful and detailed, asking all the right questions from the style of my dress to how my hair looked to what the groom would be wearing, etc. I didn't have any special flowers in mind except to incorporate magnolia leaves and to use variations of greens and whites. She made recommendations based on what flowers were in season and the flowers that would hold up best during the ceremony and reception. I also needed flowers for bridesmaids, groomsmen, and the mothers. Stephanie also helped with suggesting arrangements for the ceremony and reception. Her price point for the wedding party flowers, floral arrangements, and rentals for the pedestals and vases was very reasonable. Since her studio was located so close to our wedding venue, she also helped me save money by allowing me to make arrangements to pick up the flowers. On our wedding day the flowers turned out be absolutely gorgeous!! I loved my wedding bouquet with its smaller sized magnolia leaves and beautiful variations of greens and whites. My bouquet wasn't overly done and didn't overpower me or my dress. The wedding party just looked classic and beautiful. Thank you Wisteria and Stephanie for helping to make my wedding planning stress-free, and especially making my wedding day a truly memorable day!

The flowers for my wedding were beautiful. The designs were modern and in the colors I specified. I was however, surprised by how spare some of my most expensive centerpieces were. I had intended they be grand and over the top and they weren't. My tip would be to ask for mock-ups or scale references for your bouquests and centerpieces before committing lest you be disappointed. Otherwise Stephanie was great and I as I noted, the arrangements were gorgeous!

We got married this past May in Alexandria, VA. This was a destination wedding for both of us and we had no idea what vendors to use. Thank God we found Stephanie at Wisteria! From our first meeting in her studio (which happened after a huge storm came through the area...no electricity or water but she kept our meeting!) throughout the year of planning, she was so informative and easy to work with. I received SO many compliments on how absolutely beautiful the flowers were. Overall, we could not be happier with the service we received. Thank you Stephanie!!!

Stephanie from Wisteria did a gorgeous job on our wedding flowers. I didn't know anything about flowers going into my first meeting with her, but after a half-hour chat, I trusted her to understand my vision and carry it through. The result was amazing! Everyone commented on the gorgeous centerpieces and the bouquets. Wedding florals in DC can be really pricey, but I think Wisteria offered a great "bang" for our buck. For around $3600 we got gorgeous flowers, which were very on-trend, and a really easy experience. Stephanie understood the rules of our church and reception venue and delivered everything in a way that made it stress-free. I would highly recommend Wisteria to any DC bride!

I cannot say enough good things about Stephanie! During the planning process she brought so many ideas to the table and I loved them all! She was so nice and easy to work with. She really focuses on making each Bride's wedding unique and she did just that. Everything turned out beautiful and I got so many compliments! I would definitely recommend her to any Bride!

Wisteria was sooo wonderful to work with. Stephanie met with me and really worked through the process and explained everything. I felt like she knew me pretty well by the end of our meeting and the flowers were beautiful and exactly what I wanted and for about $600 less than the other places I got quotes from.

Stephanie came up with exactly the classy, old Hollywood look I was looking for while incorporating non-traditional flowers (dusty miller, blue thistles, etc). She even worked in our family peacock feathers in a very artistic, yet understated way. She was easy to work with and for the first time in any wedding I've been to in years...none of the bridesmaid or bridal bouquets fell apart!

We met with three florists in preparation for our wedding but no one was as friendly, interested in getting to know US and our style, and creative as Stephanie. Other florists just took what I said and ran with it. Stephanie took my basic ideas and transformed them into a cohesive whole. Midway through the planning, we changed our entire concept. Two weeks before the wedding, I was asking her to do different arrangements in coordination with ceramic and linen pieces we had hand-picked. She did a FANTASTIC job and made our vision come to life. Our placecard table was exactly what I wanted. she uses very natural greenery, beautiful textures are added to bouquets and centerpieces and her vases are incredible - they are all RENTALS which really drives the price down. Stephanie will give you her honest opinion so if you don't really know anything about flowers (like me), she will really get to know you and figure out what you are looking for. She custom designed all of our centerpieces, different bouquets for all bridesmaids and other pieces. We wanted an array of colors with principally our two key colors and she really did an amazing job. We paid about 2500 - she worked really hard to keep the final estimate close to the original. Even with the changes it was within a few dollars! Did I mention, she helped us with the invitations? She hand-wrote all of them (we didn't trust a calligrapher with them) and it was beautiful. If you need help with this and you pick Stephanie, ASK HER. For 200 she did our 80 invitations.
