We absolutely loved our experience with Dave and Cara and we could not be happier! The location, building, ceremony, getting ready space, kitchen, bar, our day was 100% perfect and we are so thankful we came across this venue. Great communication beginning to end, easy going atmosphere, and they are willing to help however they can to make the space yours.We are so glad we chose them and recommend them to anyone looking for an event site! Thank you guys for everything you did!

Dave was absolutely wonderful to work with! The venue is already decorated beautifully and we didn’t need to add much other than flowers. We had no problem setting up tables for 230+ dinner guests inside the reception hall. Dave was there the entire time we were decorating and was able to offer advice and help locate extension cords and other last-minute decor items. The outdoor ceremony space was well-maintained and worked out well for pictures. There was plenty of space on the lawn next to the covered pavilion for outdoor games for our guests. Dave was also very flexible as far as our beverage requests for the bar. The kitchen has a huge fridge and we were easily able to fit 6 electric roasters on the counter (without blowing a fuse) for our self-catered reception meal. There’s also a lovely hair and makeup area in the ladies room that was plenty of space for my three attendants and me. My family also rented the on-site house that slept 12 people with room to spare. We even hosted our rehearsal dinner on the two outdoor decks for 50+ people, which worked out well. If you’re looking for the perfect, picturesque location to host your Black Hills wedding, this is it!

The place is a beautiful charming place in the black hills. Dave the owner is so great to work with. He was very responsive to all my questions and a few visits before the big day. He’s pretty easy going and always happy to help! The setup for the venue is perfect! So many options for areas for the actual ceremony and he even just added a new addition for the ceremony location in case of rain! It was so fun having a campground and the house to rent onsite! I loved our big day! Dave was fantastic to work with!!

We are a couple born and raised in South Dakota. Cara comes from a farm by Watertown and Dave comes from Mitchell. We met here in the Black Hills and have been married for over 30 years. We built our venue ourselves and help from our freinds. We wanted to preserve the open and forested space we enjoy so much. We love to meet new people and learn about all the different lives/experiences that bring them together.
