I hired Trisha a year before my wedding through Zola and when her constant disregard for my requests and lack of communication left out critical elements of my event, I went on there to leave her a review but was unable to. When I emailed them to ask if there was a glitch in the system, they told me that she was no longer part of the Zola community but were unable to tell me why. Well, I have a pretty good idea why. She had probably received too many poor reviews and they didn’t want to be associated with her. For my wedding, she did not do the job outlined in her contract. She was extremely disorganized and many things I requested clearly both verbally and in writing for my wedding day were mishandled and/or not done. When I emailed her with feedback; she gaslit me and refused to take any accountability for her negligence and basically suggested that next time I do it myself which is not an acceptable or professional answer. If you are having a small wedding, she should probably be ok to help you with coordination. However, if you are having a medium to large wedding; I wouldn’t trust her unless you have absolutely no visions, opinions, or ideas about your special day because that seems to be a problem for her. Of all the vendors I worked with for my wedding, she was the hire I regret the most, by far. Unfortunately, she played one of the biggest roles in the outcome of the wedding. Had other vendors not stepped in and picked up her slack, I’m certain things would not have gone as well as they had, as in most of my guests didn’t know about all the things that upset me and they had a great time. I recently talked to someone from the venue where I got married and he said that he had never seen or heard of her in all his years working there which leads me to believe that the reason I ultimately hired her (she said she had experience planning events at that venue) was a lie as well. My advice to you would be if you’re thinking of hiring Trisha to coordinate your big day, hire a last-minute task rabbit instead and you would probably get a better result.
Trisha is not the best at communicating nor does she have what it takes to plan a wedding. We committed to her (which was a mistake) as we wanted to believe the best of her abilities due to the reviews however we quickly regretted that decision when we saw how poor her planning and organizational skills were. Our bestest regret was not letting her go once the demands became about her and not about our vision for our wedding. We wish we can say there was a moment of clarity or the final results outshined all the battles we faced but sadly that was not the case. If you choose to proceed with her please remember to be patient and accept she will want you do things her way.
We got engaged November 2021 and had our wedding November 2023. Neither of us have a creative bone in our body and I knew life ahead of us would be stressful so honestly, we needed someone to hold our hands lol. Trisha was recommended to us by a friend who was a guest at a wedding Trisha planned out, and with the words of my husband: “she really pulled through”. He was so impressed by how the wedding came out, and we both enjoyed our day. She has connections with amazing vendors and our wedding day was fantastic. To summarize our two years with her: we had no idea what we wanted and she provided a lot of ideas, we moved across the country, got married through the court a year before the wedding day, went through personal losses which she understood we needed breaks in planning for, etc. She was very accommodating and we appreciate everything she did.
Trisha is more than a Planner/Designer. She takes your concepts and ideas amd really brings your event to life. Our family was super impressed with her professionalism and speed to execution. Everything from day one planner to the day of coordinator she was excellent and really made our Wedding/Reception/Baby Shower a stress free event. We are based in Chicago and our event was in New Jersey and Trisha was boots on the ground for us. She has a great vendor based which made life so much easier. She has a fantastic budgeting skills which allowed us to within our budget. You can tell when someone is passionate about what they do and Trisha loves her job and genuinely want to see you have a stress free day. Whether you are on the East Coast , Mid West or South Trisha Trisha is truly the Queen of the North!!!
Trisha is an absolute dream to work with. She just gets it. Aside from the wedding day turning out to be better than I could have ever imagined (like she made all of our dreams come to LIFE), she was also incredibly transparent in her communication throughout the entire process. Her ability to read the room with grace and poise was also helpful in moments of high stress or massive confusion - both before and during the wedding.
She was able to help put together a wedding in a very alternative venue space that is not made for weddings - and with only a few months to do it! With our budget in mind the entire time, she was honest with what was doable and understanding that we wanted the whole "less is more" vibe. I am confident that no one else could have done it better than her. Please trust Trisha with one of the most important celebrations of your life. QUEEN.
Would recommend! Trisha spent the better part of a year helping me plan my wedding in Prospect Park, and her husband Jamaal was the perfect coordinator. Trisha did the grunt work with vendors and made the planning process easy. Jamaal was a rockstar at the venue. Everything was perfectly placed and if there were any issues, I had no idea. Great team!
Trisha is so amazing! She made my special day flawless and stress free. I could not have done it without her. She understood my vision and executed perfectly. Paid attention to every detail, no ask was too big or small. I highly recommend her for your wedding planning needs. I’m so happy that I had her help.
Xclusive Services’ day-of coordination magic helped my now-husband and I make our dream wedding come to life.
Trisha is everything that you want in a planner - she is responsive, creative and organized. I certainly enjoyed bouncing off ideas with her. From creating the timeline, to rallying all the vendors, to providing us other supporting documents to make sure we are all set - Working with her made us feel comfortable and secure. We understand she has other weddings but we never felt like we were just another client. Trisha never left us hanging and that's exactly the kind of support that couples planning a wedding need.
We had Melanie as the on-site coordinator on our wedding, who is a ray of light and expert efficiency. She helped execute our vision and if anything wrong happened, we wouldn’t have known.
(Also, as a bride, she checked on me all night and I appreciated that a lot!)
If you are looking for a planner, look no further! You’ll be in great hands with Xclusive Services.
Having a partial planner/day of coordinator was a non-negotiable for me, even before I got engaged. I really wanted someone to take the reins so my Type-A brain could relax, and do a bunch of design work I couldn’t quite put into practice. Trish awas great for both! She answered all of my texts and concerns, adjusted getting things done based on my just wanting to get things done early, and was very pleasant to work with. My only complaint is that she did confuse some vendors with the timeline (which of course changed a couple of times before the day), resulting in the 2nd videographer missing the men before they left their location for the first look, and sometimes her communication with certain vendors wasn’t super polished. My husband did say that when he called day of to confirm when the shuttle would pick them up, she seemed busy with her child and he felt like he was bothering her. I also wish she’d dressed a little more formally for the event, but that’s also on me for not asking about it! But besides that, she was awesome to work with! She took all of my concerns into mind, calmed me down when I needed it, and created beautiful centerpieces and decor for our reception. Our centerpieces were made from artificial florals and were so great, you couldn’t tell at first!! The florist she worked with created great bouquets and boutonnieres for us and it was all beyond what I could have imagined, so I’m forever grateful to her. Despite some snafus, I’d still recommend and use her services again.
So Trisha was honestly the BEST vendor we hired for our wedding. We had no clue how much work goes into it all and without her our wedding would not have been the success it was! She went way beyond her scope, truly looked after the families and did so much work. She even added a few fun surprises too! Thank you so much for all your help!!
Trisha is very friendly and professional. She is on every details and guides you through the whole process! Her work is so pretty. I recommend her to whoever looking for an outstanding service and amazing work!
