Founded in 2018, Yellow King began as a humble craft coffee venture at CT local farmers markets and events, offering gourmet coffee, iced teas, and freshly roasted beans, with a special focus on creating exceptional cold brews. Co-owned by Rob Vitale and Shama Khan, Yellow King is proudly a 50% woman-of-color owned business, committed to bringing diverse, high-quality beverages to our community. Today, Yellow King is based in Wallingford, CT, and offers unique wedding beverage services.
In early 2022, we elevated our vision with the opening of our flagship location in Wallingford, CT. We expanded upon our coffee creations with the addition of a full bar specializing in espresso martinis and cold brew cocktails. The bar also features exclusively Connecticut craft beer with 16 rotating drafts. Our Wallingford shop quickly became a standout destination in New England, debuting the Espresso Martini Flight—a bold, innovative concept that has captivated customers since its launch in Summer 2023. Our Espresso Martini Flight has been featured on numerous social media food influencer accounts, including on Instagram and has received over 1 million views. To date, we’ve sold over 5,000 Espresso Martini Flights, making it one of our signature offerings.
In December 2023, Yellow King grew even further with the opening of our second location in Bristol, CT. Though a smaller, more intimate space, Yellow King Bristol offers the same unforgettable cocktails and coffee in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that invites connection and conversation.
