I stumbled upon Yellow Paddle and was incredibly impressed by Cara’s portfolio, so we decided to go for it! She shot both our engagement session as well as our reception, and we were beyond thrilled not only with the finished product, but with our entire experience with her as a photographer. Cassidy began early in the day and Jesse finished off the night with a slight overlap during the ceremony and reception, and both for all the wedding photos. This was absolutely perfect. During all the photos these amazing photographers captured multiple angles of the same photo, candid photos in which some are my absolute favorites, and more photos during the golden hour than we even know what to do with.

It was clear that Cara has done this quite a few times before, and she knew what to do. Cara also did a really great job of knowing what shots she wanted and getting them in an efficient manor, but was also flexible and was able to easily adapt and adjust when things didn’t work out perfectly, such as a grumpy neighbor asking us to not take pictures in a certain area or lighting not being quite up to her standard. e were then able to view portfolios of those photographers and select them based on their portfolios and reviews. After selecting our photographer Katie K, we provided the deposit and Yellow Paddle sets up the rest based on the information you provided. We added travel costs as our wedding was 3-4 hours from Denver and we also were more than happy to pay the lodging costs for Katie as we understand for her safety it was best that she didn’t have to travel back to Denver for 3+ hours after capturing our day and driving in the dark. Even with the added costs it was well within our budget. Our Photographer then was able to meet us virtually (Covid meeting otherwise I am sure we could have met in person) and we discussed our entire event timeline and our vision of what we wanted captured. Upon the wedding day Katie was outstanding. She was on time and very professional. She captured everything and her photos are stunning. After the wedding we received our photos in just about the 8 weeks we were told but they were worth waiting for. Timeline order and more than happy with the photos. We have a hard time picking which photos we want to frame as there are too many to choose from. Overall, we were more than happy with the photos and the service Yellow Paddle provided and we were even more than happy with Katie and how she captured the memories we will cherish for a lifetime.

From helping couples find the right photographer and package, assisting with changes or questions and bringing the best team of photographers to couples in Colorado- this team focuses on all the details of the business.
All three ladies are born and raised in Colorado and have a deep personal love for the state and all it offers. Their long time friendship and work in the industry makes them the perfect team.
