We had the absolute pleasure of working with Monique Semper from YOJ Events for our wedding in Charleston, SC, and we cannot recommend her enough! From start to finish, Monique was incredibly accommodating, making the entire planning process seamless and enjoyable. It truly felt like there was nothing she couldn’t make happen.

Ashley at YOJ was the best! So easy to work with and extremely responsive. Ashley is also super nice, assertive, organized, and hard working. A wedding planner was a must for me and she made sure everything was perfect for our wedding day. As the bride, I was fully able to relax and enjoy myself at the wedding!

One year ago, we visited the Charleston venue where my daughter would be getting married. We also met Jessica Laskow of Yoj Events on that visit. Today, I am sitting at home, with my feet up, reflecting on the perfection of my daughter’s (& new son’s) wedding.
The planning began with the list of suggested vendors that Jess/Yoj gave us. From there, she kept track of everything…communications, time-lines, expectations, payments, responses, etc.
Because Jess knows the Charleston market (extremely) well, she knew what vendors needed to be booked quickly; making sure my daughter got her first choices. It was so wonderful to mention “Jessica from Yoj” and immediately feel like a priority customer. All the vendor responses were the same, “She is wonderful to work with!” (Such a great feeling for a MOB who didn’t live in the wedding destination)
Jessica is the ultimate professional. She showed up for tastings, ran the rehearsal, made sure the vendors knew when & where to be… At every turn she had the ability to command excellence from those involved, while still being Really cool to work with! I Never once doubted that the outcome would be anything but amazing!
When I walked into the venue, just prior to the ceremony, I couldn’t help but get teary! Jess had turned that room into my daughter’s dream wedding. I was able to focus solely on my daughter and our family, while Jess did all the heavy lifting. What a gift to the MOB!
We couldn’t have done this last year, without Jessica Laskow of Yoj. She was there, Every step of the way, guiding & encouraging us as needed. She truly made magic happen in Charleston and we are forever grateful. Thank you, Jess (& Yoj) for an amazing lifetime memory🤍

Monique did a fabulous job on my son and his brides wedding this past weekend. It was a destination wedding in Charleston and they truly could not have done all they did without her and her team. She was on point with returning calls and emails promptly. Was helpful and answered any questions we had. The whole weekend ran so smoothly. If you are getting married in the Charleston area, and need a planner. I highly recommend Yoj Events. It was such a pleasure working with Monique and her team.
Hands down, hiring Monique & her team at Yoj Events was the best decision we made in our wedding planning process. When I first walked up to the venue on the day of our wedding, I cried at how beautiful every detail was. It went beyond my wildest dreams. Putting aside the day of, which truly blew my mind, Monique was a dream leading up to it. She is incredibly communicative, responding to every e-mail almost immediately. She has a wonderful vision as to what the day of should look like, but also solicits your input and makes sure that the wedding reflects exactly what you want it to be. Monique was patient, fun, and an incredible sounding board throughout the entire process. Our guests are still raving that it was the most beautiful wedding they've been to. From the get go, Monique was on top of hiring the best and most cost effective vendors in all of Charleston. If I could continue to write about Yoj and Monique and sing her praises, I would. I can't put into words how fortunate we feel that we were able to work with Yoj & Monique for our special day.
Monique and her team at Yoj have provided full planning services for the bar and bat mitzvahs for my two children in 2020 and 2023. I cannot say enough good things about Yoj and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. All planning and details were handled seamlessly. Both events were perfect and I received many compliments from my guests. I really appreciated that deference was given to me in areas I wanted more involvement in and in the areas that felt overwhelming, Monique took control to take it off my plate. I have also attended several other events planned by Yoj which were great as well. I felt so much peace of mind knowing that the team at Yoj was handling the planning of these events.

We live in Massachusetts – approximately 1000 miles from Charleston --and had less than 8 months’ notice to plan our daughter's wedding. This is not for the faint of heart and we worried that it would be an impossible task. The solution?Monique Semper at YOJ Events.
A good friend in Charleston referred us to Monique and it was the best referral we could ever have received. Our daughter and new son-in-law’s wedding was just about 2 weeks ago - early September 2023 - and it was absolutely lovely and everything went off without a hitch! Why? Because of Monique--she is incredibly knowledgeable, resourceful, flexible, responsive, great communicator, friendly, patient, thoughtful, empathetic, had phenomenal suggestions, and on and on. If we had a question, Monique had the answer! Moments of panic? Not to worry, Monique knows how to manage it. She has literally "seen it all."
She was also open to ideas and was willing to explore anything the future bride and groom wanted-- ready and willing to find a way to implement their dreams. She knows everyone in the area, knows the best wedding vendors, and was able to get the best prices for absolutely wonderful vendors. She was the contact/lead on every issue and detail that needed to be implemented! Best aspect, and possibly the most important – she is absolutely calm and reassuring throughout the process. She stays with you every step of the way, from opening discussion to the wedding day and was there at the very final moments at the close of the reception.
Bottom line: there is NO way that we could have pulled off our daughter and son-in-law's spectacular wedding in 8 months without Monique and YOJ. She worked tirelessly to make a wonderful and memorable day. We recommend Monique whole-heartedly and if 20 stars were available on a scale of 1 to 10, then we would give her 20 stars! Do not hesitate to retain Monique—she is the best!
I truly can’t put into words how exceptional Monique and her team are. My husband and I both agreed that after saying “yes” to each other, hiring Monique was the best decision we made regarding our wedding!!! She goes so above and beyond, I have no idea how we could’ve had our wedding without her. She was the glue to it all!!! We had an unexpected move cross country throughout the wedding planning and Monique made sure we didn’t miss a beat! No detail was ever missed throughout the entire process. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about our wedding, saying it was the best one they’ve ever been to, and it was all thanks to Monique. A complete bonus that it’s also an absolute pleasure getting to know Monique. My husband and I say how we miss chatting with her now that the wedding is over! I can’t emphasize enough how YOJ Events is the absolute best at what they do. There’s no comparison at all. Thank you Monique!!!!!
This is truly the most overdue post of my life but I wouldn’t ever forgive myself if I did not give YOJ Events the praise it deserves. I had a four day American/Indian fusion wedding in Charleston that wouldn’t have been possible without YOJ. To start, we ended up parting ways with our wedding planner four months before our wedding. We weren’t hitting deadlines and given the attention we deserved so was on the hunt for a new wedding planner. When I tell you my husband and I instantly fell in love with Monique, it was INSTANT. She is so wildly attentive, hits the ground running, and on top of her game. Our wedding was handled by Monique and Jordan who were the complete dream team. Jordan hit the literal nail on the head with my vision. I asked for quite a few alterations to stay within budget, hit non-negotiables, food and liquor dreams, etc and she made every revision so quickly and better. Monique and Jordan are truly advocates for what you want and with vendors. In four months they completely learnt what had been planned so far, finished planning, getting vendors, making deals, and executing our dream four day event. They handled every little request with a smile on their face – even with requests and vendor additions the night before. They also were the voice of reason between all the parties involved with the multi-day event when it came to my wants, my husbands wants, and our parents wants. They find a way to always find the happy and best solution. There aren’t enough words to describe how wonderful this team is and I am so sad my wedding is over because it means I don’t get to talk to Monique and Jordan everyday anymore. Hiring YOJ will be the best thing you do – PROMISE. From a once formerly stressed, sad, and upset bride-to-be due to bad wedding planning to a fulfilled, appreciative bride because of YOJ!!
To start off, Jessica Laskow did a fantastic job as our lead planner, not only leading up to the wedding, but the day of was such a stress -free & organized day thanks to her! We weren't exactly sure on the process to start, but Jessica took us through one step at a time & offered great vendor recommendations. As a clarification, just because you hire a wedding planner, doesn't mean you're off the hook for everything - you still have to review & make all the decisions, which I wasn't fully aware of the commitment I'd still have to make in the process. However, the last month before the wedding, while some brides are scrambling, Jessica made it seamless & handled all the final details, so I didn't have to worry. She gave helpful advice & was very accessible for questions during the year we worked with her. With her help, the wedding ended up being everything we wanted & we received compliments all night on how well planned it all was.
Monique at Yoj events took us in two months before our date after we had a negative experience with another planner. Everyone at Yoj was extremely responsive, helpful, and wonderful to work with. I am someone who asks a lot of questions and they were always quick to respond with an answer for me. They helped design the reception space which turned out beautifully! Day of everyone was super organized, made sure everything went according to plan, and were a delight to work with. Yoj truly saved our wedding when we were in a bad place and made our dream become a reality!
Monique was a tremendous help in guiding us through all the wedding preparation (it was more than we expected!!). She kept us on schedule with a sense of calm, joy and excitement all at once! Her ability to match our personalities to vendors was also very intuitive. We loved working with her and highly recommend her!!
As father of the bride, I stepped off on the day to day planning but was involved in the major decisions, food/bar/band. We had a few ideas of our own and she guided us on fair pricing with our choices.
The day itself was excellent, I never felt it spiraling the weather was chilly but sunny and it was an indoor/outdoor reception. She had a blank canvas and made it so much fun.
Monique coordinated all the vendors the day before and day of. She was with us at the church guiding and organizing, and kept the group on track. There are so many details to think about and you can become overwhelmed very easily.
After the wedding she stayed to supervise the breakdown until 1am.
I would highly recommend Monique she was easy to work with, responsive and firm when she needed to be.
I cannot praise Jessica Laskow, our wedding coordinator at Yoj events , HIghly enough. I worked with Jessica very closely as the in town MOB involved in much of the planning. My daughter and her now husband live in Atlanta full time and very busy jobs did not have the bandwidth to be on top of all of the details. But Jessica certainly was. Her professionalism, knowledge, and take charge attitude left us very confident that we were in very capable hands. Did I mention that the wedding day was the day after Hurricane Ian? Jessica's grace, tenacity , and quick contingency planning kept us all calm. We are enormously grateful for Yoj and Jessica's expertise to turn an incredibly stressful finale into a beautiful and well organized wedding.
My wedding day went seamless. It came as close to perfection as anyone can imagine. Jessica at YOJ stepped in after I had to terminate my original planner and the experience with Jessica was a complete 180. I selected the partial planning service with YOJ and it was exactly what i needed. Jessica immediately connected with any vendors that I needed along with the agency that handled my room blocks. She always responded to emails within 48 hours and did any additional research needed. She informed me of any changes that needed to be made. On the day of the wedding, she made sure that the wedding party was where they needed to be. One of the concerns the I had for the ceremony was whether or not my mom should walk down the aisle bc she has physical challenges. Jessica made sure that my mom got that experience by making subtle changes. I highly recommend using YOJ for their wedding planning services.
My husband I got married at Legare Waring House in Charleston, SC on May 29, 2022. We used the services of YOJ Events, owned by Monique Semper. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint!
During our wedding planning, we lived in California and needed the help of a wedding planner to plan a wedding from across the country. We researched wedding planners in the Charleston area, and from the very first phone call with Monique, I just felt like she just ‘got me’ and my vision, even throwing out cool ideas and possibilities even from the very first phone call (which I loved and was so impressed)!
Additionally, Monique and her team are some of the sweetest people we had ever met. They were more than willing to bend over backwards for their clients, and Monique and her team truly make you feel like they care about making your big day special! Working with Monique was incredibly easy. You get that one-of-a-kind boutique service that is extremely personalized.
Monique and her team were always available for calls, even with the big difference in time zones, and responded to emails in a timely manner- many times even within an hour or two. YOJ Events has many contacts in and around Charleston, whether it be for venues or vendors, so we felt like we always had a lot of options. Their recommendations were always on-point, with vendors who were well-known and with excellent reviews.
If something was out of our price range she would either negotiate, or look elsewhere, often coming up with even better plans or designs. Also, I really appreciated Monique’s organization. My husband and I have extremely busy work schedules, so it was great that she was able to keep us on top of deadlines. Throughout the wedding day, Monique and her team stayed behind the scenes, but were always nearby in case of any questions or problems.
She was busy coordinating music, food, photography etc. to ensure a seamless day. Monique is extremely professional, courteous, and polite with an awesome sense of humor. It is apparent that Monique loves her job, because it shows through in her beautiful work. I’ve never seen such attention to detail. YOJ Events really outdid themselves. I felt like my wedding was nothing like anyone else had ever seen, and I loved that it was so personalized and unique. Monique and her team were able to make my wedding day even more beautiful and fabulous than I had imagined in my head. My husband, myself, and all our guests said they'd never seen anything so amazing!! YOJ Events made our wedding the most magical day of our lives. If anyone is planning on getting married in or around Charleston, you will not go wrong with hiring YOJ Events!
Monique is absolutely incredible! Our family friend is a wedding planner, but was booked on our date. They recommended Monique & she did a fabulous job. She helped us stay within our budget & worked with countless separate vendors coordinating all aspects. This created such an easy & stress free planning & event. Our day was very smooth, she even played bartender briefly to help with a backlog as the receptin started to keep our guests from having to wait. Every special request she managed perfectly. I cannot speak highly enough about Monique and her team at Yoj Events. My fiancé and I wanted to get married in Isle of Palms, SC within 90 days of getting engaged. Due to the pandemic, neither of us had ever been there! But, we found the most amazing venue and just needed help planning the rest! From the first phone call, Monique took the time to learn about us and the vision we had for our special day. We were impressed by her professionalism, easy-going personality and attention to detail. We clicked with her right away and knew she would do a wonderful job planning our wedding. Monique recommended high-class vendors and her attention to detail in putting together the wedding day itinerary was amazing. She did a great job communicating with us, both on our wedding day and in the weeks leading up to our wedding. She made sure we were timely with our decisions and that we knew the items we were responsible for… and she also made sure everything stayed on time and flowed smoothly the day of our wedding.
Our wedding was even better than we could have imagined and we truly got to enjoy our day. I would highly recommend Monique and Yoj Events to anyone… they were a pleasure to work with and we couldn’t have pulled off our wedding without Yoj Events. I cannot say enough positive things about working with Yoj Events! I hired them for day of wedding coordination and was so happy that I did. Monique and her team were so organized and made the entire planning process stress free. The day of, the team was on top of it all working behind the scenes to make it a perfect day. They were an absolute dream to work with and were so kind and fun to be with all day. I highly recommend working with then for any event!
The true superstars of our weekend!! Monique and Jessica were amazing to work with and we couldn’t have had the wedding weekend of our dreams without them. They were there every step of the way and I went to them with every question I had or if I needed some advice and they responded promptly every time. They made my dream become a reality and during the weekend they made sure everything ran smoothly. They were there and anticipated my every need before I even asked, whether that was making sure I had some water or needed something to eat. I can’t recommend them enough and thank you both (and Ruth) so much for making the weekend so special and beyond anything I could’ve dreamed of!!
This was the best decision/ investment we ever made when it came to wedding planning HANDS DOWN!!Our planner was Jessica and she went above and beyond! And I do really mean above and beyond! From the very beginning she was nothing but kind, honest, and considerate of all our wishes. She had the best recommendations on vendors, and the best ideas on making our wedding stick out. From helping us pick vendors, manage budget, creativity and design, working through all the “what if” scenarios and making it all come together. And when it absolutely poured on our wedding day, she absolutely nailed it. Everything was so beautiful. Guests raved about every detail. Jessica and Yoj are who you need to plan your special day, don’t even give it a second thought!!

Monique and her team are AMAZING! I could not have done it without them. Monique kept me organized and thought of everything. Monique and her team are very organized and prompt. I had my wedding at my grandparent’s home in the Old Village. They did not have anything to accommodate a wedding, but it had been my dream since I was young to have it there. Monique /her team were able to figure out a way to work around the unfamiliar venue. Monique made the wedding of my dreams come true. She had great suggestions and also was very familiar with the vendors around town. We were able to save money by using her because of her connections. Monique/her team and the people at Event Haus were able to bring in tents, chairs, generators, lights, etc in order to make the venue feel like a wedding and not just an average backyard. I could not recommend YOJ events more. They are all amazing.
We can’t say enough great things about Monique and her team. We began working with her team prior to COVID-19 and with 3 rescheduled wedding dates, Monique was nothing but gracious, patient and accommodating throughout the entire process. We are so incredibly grateful for her and her team’s support and initiative through our wedding process. My daughter used Monique and YOJ Events as her planner for her recent wedding. They were wonderful every step of the way in working through all the details and working with our budget. They had deep knowledge of all the venues in Charleston, SC and had excellent recommendations for vendors. Including florists, tuxedo rentals, wedding photographer, caterer, limo transportation, etc. The entire team was very responsive and was there every step of the way so that our family did not have to worry about details. The wedding and reception went by flawlessly thanks to YOJ Events' expertise. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding planner in Charleston.
As I am self admitted disorganized procrastinator, there are not enough words to describe how wonderful Kendall was to work with! She kept us on track with our timeline, was extremely communicative and gave awesome recommendations along the way. She made our wedding vision come to life and we did not have to worry about a single thing on our big day. We cannot recommend Yoj and more specifically Kendall enough.
I did not think I would need a wedding planner for my petite 18 guest wedding, but I was so thankful I had Kendall/Yoj. Everything went off without a hitch, the set up was beautiful, and I did not have to worry about one logistical thing. Would highly recommend, no matter your wedding size!
From start to finish we had an amazing experience working with Hannah from YOJ Events! The day couldn’t have gone better. Hannah helped me pick out details from flowers, to table cloths, you name it! She contacted vendors making sure everyone was on the same page and kept us to a timeline for the day. I would highly recommend YOJ Events ☺️
If only our hearts and souls could talk! Wow Wow and Wow! We have been together 24 years and engaged for 20 of them. Late summer 2019, we had that 'ah ha moment' and decided to get married. We are from Ohio, and had visited Charleston on vacation a few years back. We immediately fell in love with the city's charm, food, and most of all, the people. While having all of our family and friends with us for our special day would have been ideal, we decided to 'elope' ... yep, just the two of us! This would be a second marriage for each of us. We struggled with having that typical wedding. In the end, let me just say, we would do it all over again, the exact same way. So, we began the infamous Google Search regarding Charleston Weddings, filled out the 'online forms' and who responded immediately? Jessica Lasko from Yoj Events. The tone of her email was very inviting so we decided to connect via phone conference. There are seriously not enough adjectives in the dictionary to describe Jessica's magical touches. From the moment we spoke with her, it was quite obvious that she is beyond passionate and fully committed to making sure our special day was just that, SPECIAL! Over that next year, we exchanged emails, and spoke periodically. The 'big' items had been decided on and deposits made. With Jessica's guidance, we selected Magnolia Plantation for the wedding (with access to the bridal suite and an absolutely BREATHTAKING setting), Erin Turner as our Photographer (FABULOUS FABULOUS FABULOUS photos by the way!), Kim Findlay as our Florist (OMG! Absolutely stunning bouquet and boutonniere) and Kasey King as our officiant (HIGHLY recommend Kasey ... we spoke with him about one month prior to our wedding and completed a couples questionnaire .... he was SPOT ON with his message during the ceremony...brought us to tears). Since we never actually met these most important people that are helping to create such a special memory for us, we had to completely put our life in their hands. And can we say, it was the BEST decision ever!!! We are beyond blessed and truly grateful for Jessica's expert and professional guidance as we eloped to Charleston, SC for our special day on July 11, 2020✨😘🎉💍🍾! We have relived that day, every single day since then, and would do it all over again tomorrow! Our most sincere gratitude to Jessica and everyone who made our day so special....WAYYYY beyond any expectation we could have had. Every single individual was AMAZING. If there is one regret, it's that we wish we had more time to spend together with Jessica and the rest of these very special and beautiful individuals✨ We can’t express our appreciation enough💕 Thank You💕 Thank you 💕 Thank you 💕
Monique and her team at Yoj went above and beyond to help us create the wedding we dreamed of. From the initial meeting helping us clarify the vision to the very moment we said "I do" to our final toast, everything was considered. Their expertise added details we never would have thought of. The magic touches they brought in to the weekend set everything off. Plus, it could be one of the most stressful and overwhelming times with all the choices, but they made it so fun and exciting. Best decision working with Yoj. When we renew our vows, we will definitely have them by our sides.
I always believed that the true character of an individual, and for that matter, a company, does not present itself in ordinary times. In times of hardship, when they are needed the most, that is when you find out what the character of a person really is. Monique, and the staff at YOJ stood by us through the replanning of our daughters wedding three times, with compassion, encouragement and thoughtfulness. Throughout the process, her advice on what to expect from, and how to deal with numerous vendors was invaluable. Countless phone calls, texts, that where answered almost immediately, and numerous emails later, there was Monique guiding us through the day at Cannon Green.
I could write several pages on how well they did and how hard they worked, but I just want to relay how we hired YOJ. My daughter had interviewed several planners and then had an appointment with Monique. At this point she was just not connecting with anyone. Then she called me and said, “Dad this is it! Monique is who we need, trust me on this.” I wrote a check that day and never looked back. I know Monique and YOJ will have continued success In the future and can not recommend them enough for anyone looking for an event planner. Thanks Monique!
I never considered using a wedding planner until I realized that most venues in Charleston required one. I started putting out feelers to planners whose style I loved on Instagram. I heard back from Yoj right away while many other companies took weeks to respond. I connected with Jessica for my consult call, and knew when I hung up the phone that she would plan my wedding. She listened to everything that I had to say, and brought my vision to life. A normal review would probably end here, but then COVID-19 happened. The panic and heartbreak I felt from across the country would have been entirely too much without her. She navigated the postponement of our wedding while helping us to keep our vendors and avoid losing deposits. She fought for us more times than I can count. Days before our postponed wedding, a travel ban caused us to cancel. Knowing that we still wanted to be married, Jessica pulled off an elopement four days in advance with all of our original vendors. Without any bridesmaids or friends able to attend, Jessica stood in to put on my jewelry, shoes, and veil, and hold my bouquet. When the world fell out from under us, I had Jessica. We had our wedding this past weekend (yes, in the middle of Covid) and with their constant contact and attention to detail, it went so much better than we could have ever imagined! With Monique's years of experience, they were always a step ahead. She was able to give us so many great, original ideas that made our day extra fun. They both gave us so much guidance and support, especially in this stressful time. There are so many things that we now realize that we never even had to think of during the wedding weekend. Looking back, their touches, that they often did without any prompt, made everything so beautiful. My fiancé wasn’t totally sold on the idea of the wedding planner when we got engaged and it ended up being his favorite vendor we booked. Monique and Hannah at Yoj events were incredible! Planning a wedding is stressful, but planning a wedding during COVID19 felt impossible without the help of the Yoj team. I was absolutely thrilled with Jessica from Yoj. We received fantastic, professional yet personal service for our daughters wedding. The kind and efficient manner in which she handled the days events, and her assistant at the rehearsal could not have been better. The wedding ceremony ran smoothly and beautifully.

Monique and Kendall were the main fixtures that helped me plan the wedding of my dreams. I would HIGHLY recommend these ladies to any couple getting married in Charleston, SC! We used the partial planning service. Monique was highly attentive from the start and helped me really figure out my vision. She kept track of all of the vendors that I picked and the never ending checklist of things! From start to finish she was amazing! She and Kendall helped with coordination on my special day, and not only did she run interference with a family member’s significant other, but she made sure that everyone was happy and content and knew what they were doing! She kept track of our timeline, our setup, and made sure that I was able to eat! (I stated at the very beginning that this was one of the most important things to me - the food at our venue was AMAZING) Not only did she make sure I ate, she coordinated cake, toasts, and even a picnic for us when we got home.
Monique handled all of our rental orders for us, which was a huge relief and made our day of so much easier and enjoyable! She made sure that I had all of the contracts in order and that all of our vendors were taken care of. I’m pretty sure that she and Kendall also made batteries magically appear for our LED candles and they found sparklers after we forgot to bring them over from my in-law’s house on Mount Pleasant! No detail was too small for them. They kept our timeline realistic and also made sure that our guests had everything that they needed, and that they were having fun as well! They truly made sure that my wedding day was everything that I ever dreamed it would be.

I can't say enough about Monique and Kendall. We wouldn't have been able to have the wedding we did without them! From day one of the planning process, they were always readily available to answer my questions and help plan certain parts of our day. They handled our rental order which was SO helpful and were in communication with the venue and our other vendors to make sure everything would go smoothly! The day of was very windy and our wedding was outdoors - they were able to plan around it the best they could and it was still wonderful and beautiful! Aside from my groom, working with Katherine Miller to plan and execute my big day was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding. Katherine is amazingly intelligent, organized, knowledgable, and helpful and over the course of the year we worked together she became a really good friend to me. When I came to her at the beginning of our process I had so many crazy ideas for our wedding and the design and decor and she helped me focus, and refocus, and refocus my vision and indecision until in the end it came out more beautifully than I ever could have ever imagined. In the weeks leading up to the wedding when I should have been most stressed I was so thankful to know Katherine was working diligently behind the scenes confirming all our vendors and even helping take a few last minute projects off my plate. On the wedding day itself Katherine's talents and amazingness shined the most. She traveled back and forth all day between our reception venue, the church, and the hotel where we were getting ready making sure everything and everyone was taken care of. Whether it was helping put on the groomsmen boutonnières, sewing up my dress when the bustle buttons broke, making sure the whole wedding party including five children was ready on time, or calming my last minute control freak nerves, Katherine seemed to be everywhere at once and have everything under control. Our ceremony and reception started on time and I have received compliments from numerous friends that it was the only wedding they had ever attended to start precisely on time. When we made it to cocktail hour Katherine had a pair of flip flops waiting for my sore feet and patiently stood with me holding my shrimp and grits glass to make sure I got a bit of substance in my stomach before drinks. She was never an overwhelming presence, but at just the right moment she would show up and update me that it was almost time to cut the cake, or deliver our sunglasses to the dance floor, or make sure my champagne glass was full for toasts, or perfectly coordinate our bubbles exit to result in fantastic photos. Katherine helped keep our day classy, beautiful, and low stress and I am so thankful to have her as a wedding planner and a great friend!
My wife, Carly and I used Breeze and particularly Emily Weidle as our wedding planning service for our recent wedding on September 14th, 2014. We live in San Diego, so there were obvious challenges ahead to planning a wedding in Charleston. Carly found the full service Breeze package via some word-of-mouth and online research. Upon talking to Emily Weidle only once Carly was immediately sold that Emily was who she wanted to work with on our wedding. Emily came across as professional, honest and forthright, down to business, and most importantly a genuinely nice person. We both thought that genuineness was a critical characteristic to find in the wedding planning industry. Emily did not disappoint on her first impression because she displayed these great characteristics that I previously described throughout the entire wedding process. We couldn't have been happier with our choice of planner or how our wedding turned out.
Emily navigated the challenges of planning a Charleston wedding with a cross-country couple with ease. She listened and understood our needs and desires and went the extra mile on so many issues that I can't even list. She was super accommodating to us being on a different time zone and never seemed to get annoyed with a plethora of emails and calls as the wedding approached nearer and nearer. Most importantly Emily saw our vision for our special day and made it happen with literally almost no real stress to Carly and I. We had our 30 day-out call with Emily where we went over every little detail and how we wanted the day to go. Emily remembered every single detail of that conversation and executed on all of it. Literally everything from that conversation happened on our actual wedding day exactly how we had discussed with no hiccups at all. Emily had covered every single detail to a tee. She helped give us the wedding celebration that we had dreamed about and she and Breeze pulled it off terrifically!
I would very honestly recommend Emily Weidle to anyone planning a wedding in Charleston or anywhere for that matter. She executed perfectly, put together the day-of celebration of our dreams, and minimized the stress to the bride and groom. What more could you ask for? The team at Breeze was the best decision I made (outside of my husband) in regards to my wedding! My wedding was a destination wedding, and I never felt apprehensive about letting Emily and the other planners take control of my wedding. From day one, Emily was super-quick to respond to any email inquiries I had. Furthermore, when I was making decisions in regards to vendors, she was very polite and professional in reminding about budget, even if there were certain items that I knew I wanted to splurge on. Whenever coworkers and friends asked how the planning was going, I honestly did not know what to tell them because I felt no stress during the experience! Laura in the accounting department was also very attentive when it came to questions, and she was very easy to work with as well.
On the day of the wedding, I was able to focus on my family and friends and not on any minute details that came along throughout the day. My mother was thrilled by this, and ranted and raved about Emily after the wedding. My mother-in-law also mentioned how perfect the day was. If you are considering a wedding in Charleston and are looking for the perfect planner, please do not hesitate to call the Breeze team! You will not be disappointed.
I really couldn't say enough great things about Breeze! I planned a wedding in Isle of Palms from out of state and needed help. I found them online and the first thing that caught my attention was their website, which has an amazing tool to help you figure out if what you want will work within your budget. They were absolutely wonderful and professional on every aspect of wedding planning. I got to work with Emily, who is probably the best wedding planner in the area! She made my life so much easier and I don't know how people can plan weddings without a planner, I wouldn't recommend it! Everything was taken care of, they were on top of all the details and facilitated the wedding and rehearsal flawlessly. My day was absolutely perfect and all of the vendors they worked with were great and definitely worth the price. Also the price was great, they helped me stay close enough to my budget to keep everyone happy. I would recommend them to any bride, so so worth it!
I chose Breeze because we wanted to get married in Charleston and we didn't live in Charleston and I thought it would be easier to have an all-inclusive planner that would handle everything for me and the vendors were already packaged so that I didn't have a million people to call. They put up with me and all of my requests and complaints, which I respect and admire. They were always very professional and helpful when I felt lost. When it came down to our wedding day I was a little disappointed in how things turned out. I sent pictures to my wedding planner, wanting what I saw, and that wasn't really what I got. I was expecting better fabrics to be used than what I actually got. I wish that I had known that things were not included so that I could have perhaps tried to include things (such as a dance floor rather than carpet), but looking back it really didn't matter and I don't think anyone would have cared. The planner and her assistants were very informative of the agenda and what was going on, what needed to be done, where we needed to go... they were on top of their game. Overall, I am glad I went with Breeze because I couldn't have done it all by myself with all that was going on in my life at that time.
