From the moment we booked with her she was super responsive to every email, question, and need that we had. She kept us right on track through our nine month engagement for each step of planning. Erin is the nicest, most helpful and patient person I got to work with on my wedding. She was a day-of coordinator at my reception, but I really felt like she helped me in many little ways along the way. She replied to any email, at any time, and made sure to have gotten to know me before the reception so she could be my best advocate. As a control freak, the idea of just not being in charge once I got to the reception was super scary, but once I got there and knew I was turning it over to Erin, it was surprisingly easy. I knew she would keep everything running smoothly and deal with any issue that came up. She even helped pack up the cars when it was over! I'd hire her again in an instant for any type of occasion.

Erin from the first time we met was truly incredible. We had already taken care of some things on our own and while she had packages already set up, she was willing to create a custom package for my husband and I based on our needs. Anyone who can make negotiating a contract a pleasurable experience is already an A in my book, so the fact that I can now call this woman a friend is just an awesome bonus. Erin is detail oriented, calm, and willing to answer the dumbest questions while reassuring you they are not dumb. She was fantastic with my entire family the weekend of the wedding and even humored my grandmother when she came into town 10 months before wanting to see the venue and feel like she was part of the process. Erin herself is an incredible designer so even if you have no idea what you want your party to look like, she can do everything from ceiling concepts to arranging flowers. Best decision I made besides for marrying my husband was to bring Erin on my team for this incredible occasion.

Blame Lifetime or Oxygen, but I had very high expectations for a wedding planner. Those expectations unfortunately resulted in my interviewing six planners; Tara at Your Event by Erin was the last person I interviewed, and I'm not exaggerating when I say she felt like divine intervention. I liked her the moment she answered the phone. At a stressful stage in wedding planning, feeling lost without a planner and worried that we had picked the wrong venue, she immediately put my mind at ease. My husband proposed a month after we both finally landed our dream jobs which meant that throughout planning, we worked 60 hr weeks. Moreover, our a-la-carte venue didn't come with a planner, and I really wanted the wedding we had dreamt of for 9 years, but when it came to interviewing, that seemed impossible. We had hoped for a comfortable, unique, "anthropologie-like" wedding (but on a budget), and they looked at me like I was crazy, but not Tara. I am so in love with Tara; I feel indebted to her. I came to her with a huge vision, a venue that came with nothing, 7 vendors, and a garage full of random things I spent 13 months collecting. Out of that mess, she magically constructed the wedding of our dreams-- NO, it was so much better than that. It was a wedding that would not have been possible without her and it was something bigger and more beautiful than I could've ever dreamt Although she was only my day-of planner, she was never more than a friendly email away. She was amazing on the phone, quick to respond, wonderfully personal, and committed to my happiness as a bride. She made me feel very, very taken care of. Planning a wedding takes lots of important decisions, and I'm pretty sure my favorite one was Tara. Even after the wedding, she continued to help, and my mother talks of her like she's an angel (she kinda is.) She's selfless and dedicated. She's perfect. Hire her right now!
