Your Wedding Day deserves to be remembered

"Everyone deserves to remember their wedding" is what ValCinema advertises, yet utterly failed to deliver on. I am painfully reminded every time I go to a wedding. There are particularly precious moments in a wedding. For us, none of those moments - the processional, recessional, and speeches - were properly captured. We shared a short list of the important moments to capture and it's like ValCinema used it as a checklist of things to avoid. I've shared this review with the owner and he said he used our video (as what not to do) to train staff for the future. But unfortunately for us, nothing can make up for the moments that the videographer failed to capture.

Super great to work with. Reasonable pricing. Made me feel good on my wedding day. Would use them again.

Please beware when booking this vendor. We had the most poor quality raw footage delivered (we only purchased raw footage). The footage was awful quality, shot through windows, on a tripod & our photographer brought what seemed like her son as her “assistant” and he opted to eat the bridal suite foot and wore a quick silver t-shirt, while the photographer herself was pretty rude to the other vendor and in the way of our photographer. Overall they were unprofessional, rude and delivered very poor quality footage. The only plus about ValCinema was that they agreed with us and gave us a full refund. Unfortunately, we cannot relive our day and get that footage back so it’s pretty heartbreaking.

If you were looking for the definition of a mixed review, you got it. To start, we did the smallest package and paid extra for a fully edited ceremony video because our wedding took place within the context of a catholic mass and we wanted the whole thing captured. The reason for only 3/5 stars comes with several factors. First, both guys most likely have never shot a Catholic wedding (or so it seemed). They showed up to the church in hoodies and jeans, which is definitely not the dress code for a wedding let alone one at a church. My photographer, who is someone I have known personally for a very long time, said one of the guys was a little more difficult to work with. Like he thought his work was the only work that mattered. The highlight reel turned out great. We loved it. The ceremony video was just ok. There was this filter on it that really dulled down the colors and kind of took away from the vibrancy and warmth of the church. But I understand the vibe they were going for. Old family style video. But that’s interesting because one of my cousins makes home videos of family events with an old handheld video camera and with no editing, the colors were normal. The company allow small changes within a month of the delivery date, so when I asked about it (a couple days late to be honest), I was told I misunderstood the agreement. I didn’t realize that the revision was only for the highlight reel, so I was a little sad that we paid hundreds extra for it to look funny. The sound quality was also a little funky and I get that was probably because were in a church and it’s echoey. But even my cousins old video camera from the 90s didn’t have audio issues with no editing. A very redeeming quality about this company was when there was a mix up about the location for photos, (the location switched day of due to weather, our photographer tried to tell them where do go, they didn’t listen and missed the photos), they went and took extra shots for the highlight reel at the reception hall which was nice on their part. Overall, not overly ecstatic about the finished product, but the day of, the guys were very nice and I don’t regret hiring them. The biggest thing was I just wish the filter on our ceremony video was removed, especially since we paid hundreds extra for it.

We used this company as our videographer. It had started off well, the owner was very kind and communication was great with the manager leading up to the wedding day. The only thing thing I asked was to capture the authentic moments of our wedding day... Well that was quite the opposite of what we got. When it came time to receive our video the manager reached out asking my husband to re record his vows on his phone in a closet because the ones he did were not usable... authentic right? Mind you on the wedding day I read my vows first and had to read them twice because of some concern of something not being quite right the first time. This was already less than ideal cause it obviously was not as authentic the second time but I would rather the videographer speak up and tell me than not. Our private vow reading was my favorite part of the day, I saw a side of my husband I don't often see. Unfortunately when I tell you that the vow reading (the most important part of the day) is terrible that is not an exaggeration. I don't understand why my husbands vows were so terrible and mine weren't when the original problem should have been fixed by the time he went? We were standing in front of a fountain which I had asked if this was a concern and the videographer assured me it wasn't. Well you cannot understand a word my husband is saying in his vows and all you can hear is the water in the background... so explain that one to me? The videographer should have spoke up and told us this was not a good spot. Also there is conversation going on in between the videographer and photographer during the vows. The videographer we had should have spoken up much more than he did throughout the day. I obviously told the manager/owner how upset I was and they apologized about the "two unfortunate flukes that were not the videographers fault". In the end they did give me a free separate ceremony video and refunded us a portion of the money after many back and fourth emails. Unfortunately I will never get that moment back and with this being their profession this should not have happened. I would not recommend for your wedding video based on my experience. I gave two stars because I was happy with the highlight film in the end.

These guys are amazing...everything was so incredibly organized and professional. There are a couple meetings before the wedding day and they were so perfect because I needed to have things done for them before the meeting which made me keep on track. The day of the wedding couldn't have gone better. They came in and everything was so smooth. He diffidently knew what he was doing. He was so good at directing where we needed to go to make sure he got all the shots we wanted and he did so good to get shots of everything in our time frame. 11/10 for ValCinema!

My mom always told me, if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. The only nice thing I can say is that they held accountability for their mistake and were responsive. It seems like they hire photographers through freelance (double check my fact) but make sure you know your photographer well before the wedding and request their portfolio.

Great video, easy to work with

ValCinema is a great option for a budget conscious couple. They provide great value for the money. Some of the pros are the affordability and ease. Cons are you have no interaction with the actual photographers/video that will be covering your wedding until a few days before. You have to ask to see their particular portfolio ahead of time. The photos are pretty generic in terms of editing and pose instruction. The photographer and videographer we got were very kind people and definitely did not create any added stress but if you are a picky bride looking for a very specific look i would go with a local photographer that you can meet with ahead of time or really get to know their body of work. Also, in the contract they say it can take UP TO three months to receive your photo/video - expect to wait the full three months. Looking back this is the one major point that would have swayed me elsewhere, maybe they have an upgrade you can pay for to receive them right away or atleast more sneakpeaks. The wait was excruciating.

Valcinema was incredible to work with and did an excellent job of capturing every important moment on our wedding day! Their editing and A/V skills are top notch. They worked with me every step of the way before, during, and after to make it the best day ever. 10/10 recommendation!!

Carol was great to work with, very responsive, and on time with all deadlines as she noted. When we first got our pictures back we felt they weren't edited to our style based off of our style quiz, I told Carol our issues with them and she quickly got them re-edited for us and we couldn't be happier! The wedding video was so beautifully done. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I felt our photographer missed quite a few shots from our shot list which was a bummer. We understand there were equipment issues due to weather which was beyond anyone's control which made a lot of sound from our ceremony warped. All and all I would recommend ValCinema, they are reasonably priced, responsive, and deliver a great product

Our final video turned out nice, however there were a few hiccups that I believe were due to the way the company is organized. There is a sales person working with you to identify your vision, a separate videographer that you don’t meet until the day of, and someone completely different who does the video editing. Because of this, I felt there was a disconnect and the video didn’t feel as personal as if we had worked with a smaller company that does all 3 roles themselves. We told Valcinema we wanted our video to focus primarily on our ceremony. That was most important to us as it would include our vows, our families, and our wedding party. The first video they sent to us showed details we didn’t think necessary, such footage of the empty chairs before guests arrived (we’d rather have footage showing our guests in those chairs!). They also initially left out many important moments and people, such as our parents, wedding party, ring bearer, and flower girls walking down the aisle. We were very disappointed, as were our families who were left out of the video. We asked for some specific edits and were pleased that Valcinema made these changes for us at no extra cost. Overall the video turned out great, but I would highly recommend to other couples to be very specific in sharing your vision to be sure it is communicated across the team.

At first I was a little skeptical with the way things were managed, that I didn’t actually get to talk to the videographer before the wedding, that I communicated with multiple people, but it was the best deal for the features that we wanted for our video with no outrageous extras fees. Chavais, our videographer, was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the event. Carol was great to deal with leading up to and after. We are very happy with the footage we received and the highlight video is just fantastic! A wonderful team to help us preserve our special day!

ValCinema did a fantastic job for our wedding video! They tied in our ceremony and reception perfectly. We love that we get all the footage so we’ll never forget the small details from that day! Every time we watch our wedding video it brings us so much joy. Some people out there think they won’t want a video, but we strongly recommend it. Video, as well as photos, last forever!

Wow! I was skeptical at first. How will they meld all these videos and quality and shakiness together. I don't know how they did it - but it was magical. How could I have a videographer at my wedding under $500? YouFilm! My friends and family provide the content, I got a 5 minute dream. I can relive my wedding every day for the rest of my life and I'm so thankful for ValCinema's expertise!

I absolutely LOVE the highlight film!! It was so beautifully put together & orchestrated. Christian did a great job at capturing the best parts of the day and and editing team made the highlight film leave you wanting more!! The response time for the vendors is very quick & great customer service.

As we looked through vendors, ValCinema caught our attention, but we were skeptical because we live in Northeast Ohio and they are based out of Atlanta Ga. We contacted them and received an immediate response from Shawn, the owner. After a FaceTime call and follow up call we were sold! Shawn made me feel at ease with the details and tailored our contract to include things we wanted. Carol was awesome with running everything and figuring out exactly what we wanted and what shots were most important to us. Our photographer and videographer Ryan and Justin were so professional, easy going, amazing people and fun! They were able to get all my shots I wanted and more that I wanted on the spot.

I worked with Shawn when I was looking for a videographer for my wedding. His responses were quick and he was easy to get a hold of via email, text, and phone. He was able to create a custom package to accommodate all of my needs. Their website had various examples of the content they create, which was helpful to me when making the decision to hire them or not. I love the style and quality of videos ValCinema's produce and I cannot wait to see the video they create from my big day!

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. We unfortunately chose ValCinema & definitely paid the price. If you are looking for a good videographer & actually care about your wedding video I would 100% recommend NOT booking with ValCinema. Our wedding video was awful. Looked cheap & didn’t flow. It was a painful process trying to get our video fixed. They did however fix it, but I’m still embarrassed to show others & post it on social media. Do more research & don’t make the same mistake I did by hiring this company! ValCinema is an absolute joke.

I hired ValCinema for my September, 2021 wedding. The price was right and the quality looked solid when looking through their portfolio. I also liked that I didn't need to hire both a photographer and videographer -- I wanted to minimize the number of vendors I worked with. The planning process was pretty seamless, filling out some forms and going over the schedule with my coordinator and me. I reached out a few weeks before my wedding to ask who my photographers and videographer would be, since they aren't finalized until around then. I had 2/3 people assigned, and the owner called me a few days before my wedding to inform me that the assistant photographer had to drop out and they didn't have a replacement. He assured me that with my schedule (only one venue for the whole day) and the two people they had assigned, I would be just fine with one photographer. The videographer and photographer had worked together before and had been with the company for some time. Of course, they refunded me for the assistant and comped me an upgrade (more hours, I think I picked). This close to the event, I didn't have much choice. The duo (Joaquin & Jee) worked well together and were very professional on the day of the wedding. They kept us at ease and captured everything we requested. We got our pictures back a bit early, and the videos back right on schedule. They turned out great. I am happy with the quality and quantity. Now I don't like certain aspects of some pictures (my hair or the background, for example), but I'm sure some editing magic could fix those things if I needed. Overall, I am quite happy with how this went. One caveat: ValCinema contracts out the photographers and videographers. Meaning, you might get brand new people or people who haven't worked together before. Or you might be like me and find out a few days before your wedding that they never secured someone you paid for. If I were to do it over again, I would spend more time interviewing photographers and videographers individually and following referrals to find people who have worked together before. I do think I had a bit of luck that everything went well for me in the end.

We were deciding on multiple videograhers for our wedding in Lancaster, PA but after talking to Shawn we were sold! He took the time to speak to me on the phone discussing all of the differences in the package options (ie difference between raw footage vs edited ceremony video) as well as explaining in detail how they hire their videographers and what to expect leading up to my wedding day. After having some regards concerning the price range, he worked with his team to make sure we could get everything we wanted in the price range we were hoping for. He genuinely seemed so happy and eager to work our wedding and I appreciated his enthusiasm!

I cannot say enough good things about Carol and the entire ValCinema team! They truly made every dream I had for my wedding video come true! Our highlight video was delivered on time and was wonderful and when I decided months later that I wanted a ceremony edit, they had it to me in a day! I am blown away by the quality and professionalism of this team and would 1000% recommend them to any couple on their wedding day!

Loved talking to this vendor about using them as our videographer! Everyone was so kind and helpful during the process! Super customer/client oriented ! One thing that i enjoyed about them was that when i was first interested in using them, they didnt send constant text messaging/calls ( too overwhelming for me) they reached out in a professional manner, set up a time to talk about packages and pricing, took their time to make sure everything was correct, and really made sure everything i wanted was in the package! I didnt feel pressured into using them or had a timeline to commit by, it gave me time to talk pricing and details over with my fiancé and then make a final decision.
