My only suggestion if booking is to ask for the true set-up recommendations and education on what amount of photographers and videographers will truly be needed to make your experience the most magical based on the size of your wedding. Sarah and Shawn want to ensure all your needs will be met for your special day while keeping in mind the price point but sometimes depending on how grandiose your vision is, you may need to add more support (i.e photographers/Video to capture every moment. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES. They give amazing bundle deals as well!

icularly precious moments in a wedding. For us, none of those moments - the processional, recessional, and speeches - were properly captured. We shared a short list of the important moments to capture and it's like ValCinema used it as a checklist of things to avoid. I've shared this review with the owner and he said he used our video (as what not to do) to train staff for the future. But unfortunately for us, nothing can make up for the moments that the videographer failed to capture.

a tripod & our photographer brought what seemed like her son as her “assistant” and he opted to eat the bridal suite foot and wore a quick silver t-shirt, while the photographer herself was pretty rude to the other vendor and in the way of our photographer. Overall they were unprofessional, rude and delivered very poor quality footage. The only plus about ValCinema was that they agreed with us and gave us a full refund. Unfortunately, we cannot relive our day and get that footage back so it’s pretty heartbreaking.

k place within the context of a catholic mass and we wanted the whole thing captured. The reason for only 3/5 stars comes with several factors. First, both guys most likely have never shot a Catholic wedding (or so it seemed). They showed up to the church in hoodies and jeans, which is definitely not the dress code for a wedding let alone one at a church. My photographer, who is someone I have known personally for a very long time, said one of the guys was a little more difficult to work with. Like he thought his work was the only work that mattered. The highlight reel turned out great. We loved it. The ceremony video was just ok. There was this filter on it that really dulled down the colors and kind of took away from the vibrancy and warmth of the church. But I understand the vibe they were going for. Old family style video. But that’s interesting because one of my cousins makes home videos of family events with an old handheld video camera and with no editing, the colors were normal. The company allow small changes within a month of the delivery date, so when I asked about it (a couple days late to be honest), I was told I misunderstood the agreement. I didn’t realize that the revision was only for the highlight reel, so I was a little sad that we paid hundreds extra for it to look funny. The sound quality was also a little funky and I get that was probably because were in a church and it’s echoey. But even my cousins old video camera from the 90s didn’t have audio issues with no editing. A very redeeming quality about this company was when there was a mix up about the location for photos, (the location switched day of due to weather, our photographer tried to tell them where do go, they didn’t listen and missed the photos), they went and took extra shots for the highlight reel at the reception hall which was nice on their part. Overall, not overly ecstatic about the finished product, but the day of, the guys were very nice and I don’t regret hiring them. The biggest thing was I just wish the filter on our ceremony video was removed, especially since we paid hundreds extra for it.

g thing I asked was to capture the authentic moments of our wedding day... Well that was quite the opposite of what we got. When it came time to receive our video the manager reached out asking my husband to re record his vows on his phone in a closet because the ones he did were not usable... authentic right? Mind you on the wedding day I read my vows first and had to read them twice because of some concern of something not being quite right the first time. This was already less than ideal cause it obviously was not as authentic the second time but I would rather the videographer speak up and tell me than not. Our private vow reading was my favorite part of the day, I saw a side of my husband I don't often see. Unfortunately when I tell you that the vow reading (the most important part of the day) is terrible that is not an exaggeration. I don't understand why my husbands vows were so terrible and mine weren't when the original problem should have been fixed by the time he went? We were standing in front of a fountain which I had asked if this was a concern and the videographer assured me it wasn't. Well you cannot understand a word my husband is saying in his vows and all you can hear is the water in the background... so explain that one to me? The videographer should have spoke up and told us this was not a good spot. Also there is conversation going on in between the videographer and photographer during the vows. The videographer we had should have spoken up much more than he did throughout the day. I obviously told the manager/owner how upset I was and they apologized about the "two unfortunate flukes that were not the videographers fault". In the end they did give me a free separate ceremony video and refunded us a portion of the money after many back and fourth emails. Unfortunately I will never get that moment back and with this being their profession this should not have happened. I would not recommend for your wedding video based on my experience. I gave two stars because I was happy with the highlight film in the end.

He diffidently knew what he was doing. He was so good at directing where we needed to go to make sure he got all the shots we wanted and he did so good to get shots of everything in our time frame. 11/10 for ValCinema!

with the actual photographers/video that will be covering your wedding until a few days before. You have to ask to see their particular portfolio ahead of time. The photos are pretty generic in terms of editing and pose instruction. The photographer and videographer we got were very kind people and definitely did not create any added stress but if you are a picky bride looking for a very specific look i would go with a local photographer that you can meet with ahead of time or really get to know their body of work. Also, in the contract they say it can take UP TO three months to receive your photo/video - expect to wait the full three months. Looking back this is the one major point that would have swayed me elsewhere, maybe they have an upgrade you can pay for to receive them right away or atleast more sneakpeaks. The wait was excruciating.

f our style quiz, I told Carol our issues with them and she quickly got them re-edited for us and we couldn't be happier! The wedding video was so beautifully done. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I felt our photographer missed quite a few shots from our shot list which was a bummer. We understand there were equipment issues due to weather which was beyond anyone's control which made a lot of sound from our ceremony warped. All and all I would recommend ValCinema, they are reasonably priced, responsive, and deliver a great product

your vision, a separate videographer that you don’t meet until the day of, and someone completely different who does the video editing. Because of this, I felt there was a disconnect and the video didn’t feel as personal as if we had worked with a smaller company that does all 3 roles themselves. We told Valcinema we wanted our video to focus primarily on our ceremony. That was most important to us as it would include our vows, our families, and our wedding party. The first video they sent to us showed details we didn’t think necessary, such footage of the empty chairs before guests arrived (we’d rather have footage showing our guests in those chairs!). They also initially left out many important moments and people, such as our parents, wedding party, ring bearer, and flower girls walking down the aisle. We were very disappointed, as were our families who were left out of the video. We asked for some specific edits and were pleased that Valcinema made these changes for us at no extra cost. Overall the video turned out great, but I would highly recommend to other couples to be very specific in sharing your vision to be sure it is communicated across the team.
