They nailed it!! Jane was a true professional from start to finish and beyond. She helped us set realistic expectations, stay organized, and kept us on track. She was transparent, systematic, and a great communicator. Planning a wedding can at times be extremely stressful but Jane had it all under control and it made all the difference keeping me sane and feeling good about everything. On the day of the wedding, everything went perfectly and it was because of her and her team. There were some curveballs thrown but she handled them with grace and like a boss! The night went seamlessly. Shout out to Jenni and Joseph for all their planning and coordinating help! They were rockstars. Jane was more than a planner, by the end of it, she become one of our biggest cheerleaders and friends. Highly recommend Yu & Us! Jon’s playlist kept us dancing all night! His Google form was a great tool to keep us organized. He was super chill and communicative. He managed to fulfill all of our music requests and there were a lot of them. He accommodated the unexpected and made everything flow well!

The most amazing wedding planning power couple. Jane and Jon were so detailed, kind, and organized. They know all the intricacies of planning a wedding and their G-Suite documents make the process so easy and turnkey. If you are thinking of hiring a wedding planner...look no further than Yu & Us. Kept us sane and on track At the same time that we were getting married, my company was going through massive layoffs and my partner and I were moving to another country. Our wedding was going to be the last thing in Los Angeles before we left. Jane helped keep us on track and handled everything so no one could tell how stressful everything was. We had so many compliments on the wedding - from the DJ being absolutely smashing to the decor, clear organisation, food, everything. We really could not have done it without Jane and Jon. Highly recommend! Jane saved us more than once through this process DJ Services - THE BEST PART OF THE WEDDING! Jon got ~*weird*~ with the music late at night, and the dance floor was on fire. He kept it social and blended while the older family members were out, but got everyone on the dancefloor and kept them there until the house lights came on

Highly recommend Yu & Us! Jane and Jon were an absolute pleasure to work with! We interviewed a few planners and didn't feel a connection until we spoke with Jane and it clicked immediately for us! She was knowledgeable, personable, and made us feel comfortable about the wedding planning process. Though we live on different coasts, she always made herself available to chat and even flew over to do a bunch of site visits with us which we really appreciated. She listened to our expectations for our wedding and provided advice and thoughts along the way to make it even better. On the day of the wedding, you could just tell that Jane was a professional and a well oiled machine. She handled everything seamlessly (seriously, everything was perfect!) and the wedding was amazing largely due in part to Jane and her team! We also used Jon's DJ services and he was SO good - he had our guests dancing all night long right until the end of the wedding! Working with Yu and Us (founder Jane Yu) was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. We hired her as a month of coordinator. She was wonderful and on top of it all. Even though she was based in LA and we were in NYC, it wasn’t an issue. She was communicative and easy to get in touch with. Also, even though we hired her months before our wedding, she kept in touch throughout- checking in, giving pointers, acting as a voice of reason. As we neared our wedding (~3 months), Jane reached out with useful checklists and timeline templates for us to fill out / be familiar with. She also helped provide last minute wedding contacts when we needed it (e.g. HMU, transportation). She provided much needed advice and suggestions along the way, which we welcomed given her years of experience planning events in NY. On our wedding day, Jane was a beacon of calm as we went from a noon tea ceremony, to first look, then catholic church wedding and finally our rooftop reception, with two full outfit changes along the way. Even during the reception, we had a lion dance, full band, and table to table ganbei’s, and Jane was with us every step of the way. Only thing I wished I did differently was to have her for more hours during our wedding! She was wonderful and I would recommend her to other brides, whether for the month of services or even day of.

The best partner for planning your wedding! We hired Yu & Us early on in our wedding planning journey and it was easily the best decision we could've made. Our wedding had a lot of moving parts and was not an easy one to plan! But Jane worked tirelessly to handle all of it, keeping us on schedule, communicating with all our vendors, and collaborating with us creatively to execute our vision. She was always just a text or call away, and never made us feel like we were taking up too much of her time. Everything on the day-of was handled exceptionally, even on a 100+ degree day! I HIGHLY recommend Jane at YU & US Events. First, Jane is a beautiful person. We met with tons of planners and she was the clear standout. She helped us navigate so many challenges - like our wedding venue straight-up cancelling our wedding!! All along the way, she made herself available to us and offered her expertise and emotional support. In the end, we had the wedding of our dreams and none of that would have been possible without her. 10/10 recommend. Not only is Jon a super cool dude (one of the best dressed people at our wedding hands down) he's an amazing DJ. He worked with us to curate our dream playlist and executed it flawlessly. You're really able to tailor the experience you have with the team to get the most out of your experience and where you need the most support. Jane is first and foremost a producer, who knows how to efficiently organize, communicate with, and plan every detail (including the ones I missed!) to make sure that everything goes off without issue. I was relieved knowing I had someone who had my back and was there to make sure everything ran smoothly and communication was on point. Jon worked with us to ensure that not only our specific favorites were included, but that the vibes in each area of the wedding matched exactly what we were going for. He comfortably created moods that helped spur conversation, dance, and fun.

Veil & Vinyls is an amazing company to work with! Unfortunately, we had to cancel our big wedding due to the pandemic and didn't even get the opportunity to hire them in an official capacity, but because of that we were even more impressed by how they were with us every step of the way. We spoke to several different wedding planners during the interview process but none compared to Veil & Vinyls - they were the only planning team who continued to check in with us after our first discovery call! They were also happy and quick to answer any questions and offer us guidance through issues as they arose (trying to nail down a date, dealing with shifty venues, having to cancel completely!). Not to mention they were extremely patient as we asked for more time to make a decision and were beyond supportive when we had to let them know that we would no longer be planning a large wedding/hiring a planner. Veil & Vinyls is extremely professional, personable and empathetic. We highly recommend using this amazing team for your wedding, and if our wedding plans change (again!) we'll definitely be using them for ours! Jane and Jon were amazing to work with – literally from the first time we talked, I knew that they would be great additions to our wedding day. Jane and I come from similar event production backgrounds, so it made a huge difference that we were speaking the same language. Jane gut checked my ideas and vision and real talked me when there was a better way to do things. One of the most important things for me was to have my ceremony run on time so I could get magic hour photos and I am so happy to say that everything went so smoothly and I got my photos! Jon was an incredible DJ – we were on the dance floor the ENITRE time! He was the exact vibe we were going for and we got so many compliments from our guests. He was able to read the room so well and one of my favorite moments of the wedding was when he played ‘We Are Family’ and both my husband and I’s families all danced together! We will never forget it! ❤️

Our wedding went perfectly, thanks to Veil & Vinyls! I hired Jane for my month-of-coordinator, and she was such a joy to work with. She was on top of everything, from contracts to vendor coordination to having us and our guests stick to our schedule that she had meticulously planned. Our wedding was in Phoenix, Arizona, where she had never done a wedding before, and she was still able to execute the day perfectly. Thanks to her coordination, our day was absolutely perfect. Jane was the most important decision we made for our wedding day. She executed the entire day with her team flawlessly and she was on top of EVERYTHING! My guests even mentioned how on time and on top of it she was. She also was extremely responsive throughout the weeks leading up to the big day. We really would not have had the day we had if it weren’t for Jane and her team. She has the greatest eye for details and she was able to handle all items with the greatest level of efficient and poise! We could not be more thankful for Jane. We would not have been able to go through that day without you!!!

Jane and Jon were the perfect pair, and were a dream to work with! We hired Jane as our month of coordinator and Jon for our DJ. My father in law and other guests are STILL mentioning how amazing Jane was on the day of our wedding, so that says a lot. For someone like me who is often anxious and paranoid, not only did she put me at ease the month before the wedding but the day of I was able to completely let go of all the concerns, only because I fully trusted Jane to manage everything. We had a ton of different vendors and a lot of DIY, all of which is handled effortlessly and confidently. She also gave us invaluable advice throughout and built a good rapport with our vendors. She thought of details and potential issues that I would not/could not have thought of and would make sure to get my input and opinion but then would take care of everything. At (and after!) the wedding, I got compliments on Jane’s professionalism and her stellar ability to stay on top of vendors and timing. She also made sure all the DIY was taken care of and stayed at the venue after everyone had left (including me and my husband) to ensure that the venue was spotless and taken care of. I can honestly say I wouldn’t have had the perfect, most seamless wedding if Jane wasn’t our coordinator. She went truly above and beyond. I also can’t say enough about Jon. He was so easy to work with, gave us everything we needed to know which made it easy. He also familiarized himself with the venue so that not only was he our DJ but he ended up helping us with sound questions for our ceremony band, including providing recommendations for extra sound equipment for them to rent. Lastly, he was such a fun DJ! Played the best songs (also got a ton of compliments on the song choices) and handled all the transitions seamlessly (both music and emceeing) It was perfect. I would HIGHLY recommend.

We had such a great experience with Jane. We had a wonderful first meeting with her. She was very chill and, I think, got to know us very quickly. We were very relaxed about the whole wedding but Jane still took her job seriously. She helped us corral all of our vendors, which was no easy feat (we got our dessert from a small shop and they frequently dropped off the grid!) The day of our wedding she worked hard to keep us on schedule and make sure things went well. Some highlights for me: - got me out of the hotel on time - made sure we drank water while we were taking a million pictures - got us down the aisle on time - made sure we got to eat, even during cocktail hour! - when our lights wouldn't dim, she was immediately on the phone with the vendor and got it figured out - did all of the cleaning (along with the caterer) and gathered all of our items that we were keeping - if it weren't for her, we definitely would not have been out on time because I had no concept of time. - when we realized my parents didn't take a decorative mirror with them, Jane kindly took it home with her and then DELIVERED it back to us. It was really sweet and truly an act of kindness. I can't thank Jane enough for making sure our big day went well - I don't know what I would have done without her!

Jane and I worked together, and as a coworker, she is the one entrusted with our experiential activations at the agency. I knew she would take on our wedding with the professionalism and care that she does, with every event she takes on. I'm not an event planner, I've never been married before, I've never planned a wedding, and it's only one day! It's overwhelming to even know what you're supposed to ask, let alone get done, on a day that is so important, and costs a lot of money. Being a bride that has an aesthetic but didn't want the day to feel overdone or so overly planned, Jane had great direction for the things that I didn't have a strong opinion on, or have a good sense or vision for, explaining the pros and cons of each option. Should we do the ceremony outside and reception inside, or vice versa? The venue's coordinator had a ton going on with the several weddings she had going on, so to be able to have Jane correspond with her was a weight off of my shoulders. This is maybe just specific to me, but our caterer was Korean speaking and it was tremendous that Jane was able to communicate with them also. Jane's personality is cool and calm while being productive and efficient and to be able to have that energy during a stressful time was so helpful. We were so thankful for Jane. Would recommend her to everyone I know ten times over.

Jane was super organized, communicative, and a go-getter. This is exactly what we needed for our day-of coordinator. Jane was flawless in planning out the schedule the way we had envisioned our wedding and ensuring there was a seamless line of communication with all vendors. On our wedding day, Jane and John delivered on every aspect -- keeping everyone in check and, most importantly, keeping Richard and I stress-free! At the end of the wedding, they packed our belongings as we had requested, all vendors were paid accordingly, and load out was completed per the venue's rules and policy. But Jane and John's services didn't end there. A couple of days after our wedding as we were preparing to leave for our honeymoon, the venue contacted us about a damage that would cost our whole security deposit. Jane was very quick to jump in and speak on our behalf -- allowing us to leave for our honeymoon stress-free knowing that Jane was handling it for us! We have nothing but high praises for Jane and John for their services and we would highly recommend them!

They Say Team Work Makes The Dream Work. I’m here to confirm that never has there been a truer statement. Jane Kim and her team at VeilandVinyls.com made our dreams come true. Janes understanding and commitment to our vision coupled with her tireless efforts to see that vision come to fruition was OVER THE TOP. I hired Jane to step in and take the reins six weeks prior to my daughters wedding. I’m a very organized and capable working woman ….but even the best among us wants to be able to take a deep breath at some point and enjoy the special time before the wedding…and certainly the last few weeks. I needed guidance in certain area’s and I wanted a partner ( other than my extraordinarily talented daughter ) - I didn’t know at the time that I would have so much confidence in Jane that I would happily and eagerly surrender the process to her . Several executives I know ( including my daughter ) had encouraged me to meet with Jane - they sung her praises loudly, both professionally and personally. Her prices were very reasonable. I had nothing to lose and everything to gain and BOY DID I. I am now one week post wedding and have had time to really reflect on just how much Jane’s expertise afforded me. We had our first meeting at my daughters apartment. Jane asked us exactly what we had accomplished thus far, the venue, the band, the flowers,… the big stuff…. She guided the discussion drawing from us our vision, our expectations etc. I knew immediately - just by the detail oriented questions that were asked that I was way out of my league and immediately beyond happy that I had made the decision to hire Veil and Vinyls to carry the ball as there was no shot I would have been able to enjoy this special time and maintain my sanity without their guidance and help. We were off to a great start. After that meeting we provided Jane with all of our contact information for everyone and anyone involved with the wedding. We shared a google file with all of our contracts, timelines, photo boards, to-do lists etc. She then became the main liaison with all of the vendors - always keeping us in the loop, consulting us before any decisions were made -100% eliminating the drudgery and hassle of the event planning aspect and the myriad of details that go with from our day to day lives. AND IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. Another huge bonus.. Jane knew where and how to negotiate some of these over the top contracts. I would never have had a clue. She is keenly aware and sensitive of spending your money. She is there to help you save money a very respectful and unexpected aspect and added bonus that I most appreciated and so will any of you rewarding this review. Wedding expenses are no joke and anywhere you can save…. Yay. When all is said and done, and its Go time - THIS IS WHERE YOU LOOK UP AND THANK GOD you have Jane and her team by your side. The day of the wedding. Until you have experienced this, you can’t even imagine… especially if there is a bridal party ,change of venue, and photographers etc involved. Jane had drawn up a time line that had every 10 minutes of the day scheduled for not only the bride, the groom, the bridal parties, the make up artists, the food being delivered to the suite’s , the first look photo’s … I mean…. She practically had time built in for bathroom breaks. It is not easy to manage a bridal party of 24 ( YES, 24 ) and several locations and do it all with 110% POISE and CALM. Always smiling. Jane provided my wife and me with wedding planning and day-of coordination for our wedding in Vieques, PR with 75 attendees. She used a streamlined, digestible strategy to execute our “dream” destination wedding at The W in Vieques. She helped us understand our contract with the venue, and led rounds of negotiations for price and deliverables. This included planning a welcome party, the ceremony/reception, and a Sunday brunch. As our liaison with vendors, she kept us protected from all of the back-and-forth while still checking in with us for necessary approvals along the way. Once everyone had successfully arrived on the island, Jane coordinated everything, making the weekend an absolute dream. If any small issues arose, Jane troubleshooted with the venue coordinator and only conferred with me when she thought it was absolutely necessary. She also seamlessly led the transition of the pool side reception to an indoor reception because the weather turned a couple of hours before the ceremony. As a bride, this stressed me out, but Jane did everything in her power to mitigate the situation. We will forever be grateful for Jane’s services. She helped create the absolute best weekend of our lives. Jon also was our MC and DJ. He was professional in his approach and was incredibly prepared for the day/night to run smoothly. We received so many compliments on his dance set, some saying it was the best wedding music they had encountered. This is coming from a group of people (me in particular) who are very picky about music/dance/venue vibe. The entire reception party was dancing for hours!
