Z&G has our heartfelt gratitude for the amazing food and service at the Dajon-Gallardo wedding. We really appreciated the event designer and staff's knowledge, professionalism, and hospitality, both in the planning and execution of the event. Their knowledge of the facility (Chesapeake Bay Foundation) and the facility's operations were essential in ensuring everything was set up perfectly. At the event, the exquisite appetizers and entrees were beyond excellent. The oyster bar was a huge hit, the bar service was flawless, and the staff were so proficient and accommodating. It was just awesome. Our guests kept remarking on how elegant and wonderful everything was--the food, the ambiance, the tables, the decorations, the service. And it was in no small part due to the event designer working closely with us and our wedding planner beforehand to make this happen.

Zeffert and Gold were amazing from start to finish. Lisa, specifically, was so helpful and accommodating. She answered all of our questions promptly, and helped soothe my anxiety. The all-inclusive pricing was very fair considering all that was included. We looked at other catering options, and there was a lot that Zeffert and Gold offered that other caterers did not. The food was so good, and our wedding guests couldn’t stop talking about it. Sarah also was very attentive on our wedding day, and was always available to bring us food and drinks. I would highly recommend Zeffert and Gold to anyone having a party.

We recently got married, and Zeffert & Gold was our caterer. They did an incredible job managing everything and making our vision come to life. I contacted a lot of caterers in the wedding planning process, and Z&G was one of the best at communicating things clearly and concisely. When I reached out for a quote, they asked relevant follow up information and shared clear proposals with pricing laid out. Some other vendors would only give vague price ranges, but Z&G sent me custom proposals with price break downs for the various components needed for a wedding. It really helped me understand the value we would be getting with them as our caterer. We worked with Adelaide Kachur specifically, and she was excellent. I cannot understate what a pleasure it was to work with her, and how easy she made things the day of our wedding. She truly is an event designer, and she worked with our coordinator to pull off the event of our dreams. The dining space for the reception looked wonderful, and everything was exactly what we wanted. Overall, the catering staff was helpful and kind. When one of them overheard my new husband and I lamenting we hadn't even tried the appetizers during cocktail hour, they brought us a tray with all the apps on it, just for us! They also made sure we had enough water all night, and re-supplied us with cocktails as needed. They were so thoughtful. Also, the food was absolutely PHENOMENAL. We did a tasting before booking, but it was all great. We had the teriyaki salmon, greek stuffed chicken, braised short ribs, and chickpea cakes as entrees offered at our wedding and got rave reviews about all of them. Z&G also made us little to go boxes of all the food since the wedding day flies by, so we got to enjoy all of it the next day too. With Zeffert & Gold and Adelaide, every detail was considered. They leveraged their expertise about how weddings work and used it to ensure our wedding would be as enjoyable and beautiful as possible. We are so, SO grateful we chose them, and that they delivered in such an exceptional way. I highly recommend them if you're looking for a caterer or event planner!

Amazing food! Our guests a month later still compliment us on it! The middle of the tier bar was also fantastic! We the staff was attentive to us and making sure we had food and drinks. Samatha was great!

After a month of research of many catering companies, we chose Z&G and never came to regret that extremely important decision. From beginning to end and all in between, Samantha was a delight to work with! Responsive to all the variety of questions we had to given very sage advise and recommendations. Planning our wedding was (naturally) an overwhelming experience but NOT due to anything related to catering. I felt 100% confident that Z&G would deliver all services as promised and they did!! Our guests went on and on about the quality of the food and how delicious everything tasted. I even recieved accolades on the bartenders and how awesome they were. (As a side, we purchase our alcohol from Total Wine and More and the Z&G crew carefully handled all of our bottles so we were able to return all unused for a refund). I just can go and and on about how wonderful and easy our experience was with Z&G but I'll end on the note of saying we HIGHLY recommend them. It was a best decision EVER!! xoxo Erica & Matt

Matt Gold and Matt Cobleigh were an absolute pleasure to work with and provided excellent service, were easy to reach, punctual in response and delivered a fabulous product!! They came highly recommended by our other vendors and one friend, and now I understand why! Their attention to detail and their hospitality stands out! I’m still in awe at how beautiful everything turned out! The day of our wedding , they exceeded our expectations and took such great care of my husband and I. They worked very well with our vendors and helped keep us on time! Thank you so so so much for making our day beautiful!

Zeffert and Gold catered our wedding and everything was incredible. Throughout the planning process, we worked closely with Addie, who made everything so easy. She worked with us to create a customized menu and helped ensure that our day was perfect and went off exactly as we envisioned. Zeffert and Gold has so many options and is able to work with your budget. Having good tasting, quality food was a very important part of our wedding, and our menu turned out to be amazing. Our guests have not stopped raving about the food at our wedding. On our wedding day, the Zeffert and Gold staff took care of everything. My husband and I did not have to worry about anything other than making sure we were able to enjoy or reception and time with our guests. The staff made sure that our guests had everything they needed, and dedicated one staff member to making sure that my husband had everything we needed and wanted throughout the night. Zeffert and Gold's quality and service is truly unmatched and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend choosing Zeffert and Gold to cater your wedding!

Z and G food is AMAZING! Everyone was raving about our food and was so jealous that we got to take home the leftovers. Catering was the most expensive thing in our budget, but it was well worth it. They allowed us to customize so many things and the service was wonderful. Matt was so helpful throughout the entire process as well.

The catering experience at Zeppert & Gold Catering was exceptional! I catered the gourmet desserts to add to the wedding experience for the Jones/Ziegler wedding. The gourmet dishes were exquisite! The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating to assist me in the setup and cleanup. Víctor Ramiro and his team were very professional and helpful. They set the standards high in customer service.

Lisa was amazing to work with the months leading up to our wedding. The day of, the food presented well and was delicious!

We can not say enough good things about Zeffert and Gold. Adelaide and the whole staff were very helpful from the start and were very good about calming our nerves while planning the wedding. It was difficult to decide which menu options to choose because all of the food from the tasting was delicious. They could not have been more wonderful on the day of the wedding. They made sure that my husband and I had enough food to eat and made sure that we had a drink whenever we wanted one. They went above and beyond to help one of my guests who was pregnant and realized she could not eat the food she had chosen because she was not feeling well. The staff worked with her and gave her an entire plate of mashed potatoes because that is what she could eat at the time. They also worked very well with our Day Of Wedding Coordinator. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the leftovers that they gave us and we were glad that we were able to try the food that we did have time to enjoy during the reception. We wish we could plan another big event so we could hire Zeffert and Gold again!

I 100% enthusiastically recommend Zeffert and Gold catering for your wedding. First of all, our tasting was one of the best meals I've ever had, it was so so good! And they made every step of the planning process much easier. We had our wedding at the Cloisters Castle in Baltimore and they knew the venue inside and out, which made everything easy. And on the wedding day, Samantha made sure that we had the food and drinks that we wanted, without us even having to ask. She was absolutely amazing to work with, I couldn't recommend them more.

Zeffert & Gold is the absolute best! Great food for our guests was one of the highest priorities for my fiance and I when planning the wedding. When we visited an open house at the venue, Z&G's tastings stood out far and above the rest, and every other vendor who had worked with them only had the highest praise. We (and our families) could not believe how much incredible food and high quality service we received for the price. Lisa Schatz was a pleasure to work with, through numerous emails finalizing the details and the lovely couple's tasting experience to choose the custom menu. Thank you so much for great experience!!

Matt and team were incredible to work with. They made every step of planning so easy, flexible, and accommodating. Our taste testing was fun and they helped us come up with the perfect menu (they were even honest about items to remove from our menu, which I appreciated). The day of our wedding, their staff executed everything flawlessly with minimal instruction. I felt so welcomed by the service staff and they made sure my guests had a really fun time. I don't think I ever saw the bottom of my glass because they kept refreshing me! Everyone (vegans and carnivores alike) raved about the quality of the food. Amazing work.

Lisa went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect day. She was incredibly patient while I asked a thousand questions. We changed the menu several times until it was exactly what we wanted. On our wedding day the staff was professional and were constantly coming up to my husband and I with drinks, and making sure we didn't need anything. They made sure we had a private plate while we did our photos after the ceremony of the cocktail hour food. The food was out of this world. We are STILL months later hearing about it. They sent us off on our wedding evening with a to go bag of all the food offerings. It was the greatest surprise! They work with several budgets. I truly cannot recommend them enough!

Adelaide and her team at Zeffort and Gold were awesome to work with. Our venue listed them as 1 of 4 preferred vendors and when we got quotes from all of them, Z&G's presentation and thoroughness blew us away. We had several calls with the team and finally landed in our preferred budget. Our food tasting was a blast and the food.... wow! Some of the best food I have ever tasted! Adelaide quickly and happily answered all of my questions and was helpful in other areas outside of catering. On our wedding day, Adelaide was out there serving people herself just to make sure everything was perfect, and it was! Our guests raved about the food, the presentation, and the service! Highly recommend using this amazing company!

My husband and I have nothing but praise for Zeffert and Gold Catering! From the initial inquiry all the way through our wedding day, the Zeffert and Gold Catering team was an absolute pleasure to work with. We worked primarily with Adelaide, who is one of my favorite humans of all time; she is truly like family to us! I cannot stop raving about her. She acted as a day of planner and supported us throughout the stressful and crazy wedding process. She was incredibly kind, professional, understanding, responsive, and organized, which made for a seamless planning process and provided a sense of comfortability throughout. She worked with us consistently until the menu and wedding set up was exactly what we wanted it to be. My priority was a nacho bar, and she and the chef worked with me to make sure that it was perfect, which it was. My husband and I tried multiple catering companies before settling on Zeffert and Gold, and really what pushed us was their amazing food, supportive team, and Adelaide of course!! Every single bite of food was phenomenal! Our wedding guests RAVED about the food and stated that it was some of the best wedding food they had ever eaten! At the wedding, we had Jane as the day-of manager, who was absolutely incredible! She made sure the wedding day progressed smoothly and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Additionally, Zeffert and Gold assigned a personal assistant to provide drinks and food for us throughout the entire wedding day. This was such a unique touch and showed us how much Zeffert and Gold cares about their couples. I cannot put into words how much we appreciate all of their hard work to make our wedding day so special. We were so grateful to have Zeffert and Gold be a part of our big day and provide such phenomenal food and décor. We would recommend them to anyone and everyone 1,000 times over! Working with Zeffert and Gold was a dream. We got so many comments at the wedding about how the food was actually 1) warm; 2) delicious; 3) accommodating for the many dietary restrictions we had at the wedding. We did family style for dinner. Admittedly they are not the cheapest caterer to hire, but you 100% get what you pay for with them. They also made us a bag of leftovers to take home and even the leftovers were delicious! We worked with Matt and he was always very responsive and accommodating. You will not regret hiring Z&G!

Z&F were an amazing wedding caterer! The staff was extremely organized, friendly and professional. Everything went so smoothly the day of, and we received many compliments on how delicious the food was! Lisa was amazing to work with during the entire wedding planning process.

5 stars is not enough to describe how amazing this company is! We had the pleasure of working with Samantha and she was extremely kind and helpful throughout the entire planning process. All of the food was absolutely amazing and it was very sweet that they boxed up the extras for us at the end of the night. We got so many compliments from our guests, and I honestly think it may have been the best wedding food we’ve had (and we’ve been to about 25 weddings). The drinks were also very good. I don’t think the mixed drinks were heavy on alcohol which we really appreciated, everyone has having a great time but no one was too drunk. One of the bartenders, Lily, was super attentive to my husband and I and made sure we had whatever we needed throughout the night. Our wedding was such a success and that was mainly due to Zeffert and Gold. I would happily recommend them to anyone!

From the first meeting followed by the tasting to the meet-up at the venue in preparation of wedding event, Zeffert and Gold met and exceeded our expectations. The staff worked in July summer humidity and heat without complaints. The runners kept the appetizers floating through the guests who were quite spread out at the venue. Everyone was pleasant and made the tasks they perform look easy. During the reception, the stations were well-manned and dishes never ran out. Children were treated with dignity and respect. Each station had delicious dishes that represented the regions from which the bride and groom had resided including the crabcakes from Eastern Shore, the corn-peach gazpacho from the Rocky Mountains, and tropical shrimp tacos from the Hawaiian Islands. The individual serving desserts were so delicious one wanted to taste them all! Even the table linens were a perfect match with our daughter and son-in-law's color scheme. I fully recommend the services of Zeffert and Gold Catering. You will not be disappointed! Even the payment schedule was accommodating. They were an additional blessing to this Mother of the Bride. Our daughter shared with us that everything was just as she had dreamed about all of her life. As the celebration continued, there appeared the most beautiful rainbow arching above the horizon. The entire Zeffert and Gold Team was amazing, from early planning and selecting our family style food to the service on wedding day, everything was perfect. The food was fabulous, the service was outstanding and they helped make the celebration a special day.

The catering team was incredibly organized and the food was so delicious! They even helped us coordinate a Persian tea reception and a special Persian rice dish to help make our wedding and reception more meaningful to us.

Zeffert and Gold was the easiest and best decision we made during our wedding planning process. We knew that Z&G was the most commonly used caterer at our venue, Gramercy Mansion, and liked the idea that they would be a well-oiled machine when it came to understanding how to work with the venue’s indoor and outdoor spaces. We already had high expectations given everything we had read. That being said, Adelaide (our point of contact at Z&G) managed to blow our expectations out of the water. Her professionalism, promptness, and expertise relieved so much stress and made us feel confident going into our wedding. The fact that Z&G manages all the rentals relating to the food (cocktail hour tables, dining tables, table cloths and runners, napkins, silverware, etc.) made it so much easier to coordinate all the pieces for how we envisioned our reception. Even when we had a last-minute change of mind, Adelaide was able to quickly change out the colors of our fabrics. Throughout the entire process, Adelaide was always looking out for us and giving us recommendations based on our budget. It never felt like Z&G was nickel-and-diming us, and we got what we wanted without having to pay for numerous extras. Our food was the best wedding food we’ve ever had. Right from the tasting, we knew we were in great hands. Our guests have continued to remind us that the food and drinks were memorable and set the standard for wedding catering. Plus, the signature cocktails were strong! Additionally, we had a dedicated server (Talia) during cocktail hour and dinner who made sure that my husband and I stayed hydrated and got to eat during the chaos and busyness of it all. Overall, we cannot recommend Z&G enough!

Lisa and the Z&G team were fantastic and truly brought our wedding home! We contacted them ~4 months before the wedding and from the first meeting until the end of the wedding night, they were professional, efficient, helpful, kind, and fun. Lisa had worked at the venue often, made great recommendations for other vendors, and added personal touches - like remembering that I referred to the espresso martinis as "Dancing Juice" and making a sign labeling them as such at the wedding. Lisa was willing to share her opinion when I asked, but was never forceful or demanding across all the small decisions that go into a wedding. She coordinated all rentals, and has an impeccable eye for layout. The night of the wedding the service was on point, efficient and the food was delicious. Staff were kind, accommodating and informed. It was easy to accommodate guests' dietary needs and it was clear that the staff was all on board to take especially good care of the bride and groom. Our wedding ran so smoothly, all credit to Lisa and her team. Working with Z&G is what made our rapidly planned wedding possible. I want to throw more large parties just to work with Lisa again!

Zeffert and Gold was the caterer for my son's wedding on November 12th at the American Visionary Art Museum. They were fabulous! My son and his wife hired Zeffert and Gold and worked with Matt to handle the details. Being the mother of the groom, I was not sure what to expect. I had used a different caterer for my daughter's wedding years ago and had a less than pleasant experience. Zeffert and Gold helped to make the night absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived at the venue prior to the ceremony, the staff was kind, pleasant and accommodating. They introduced themselves and made sure they knew who the parents of the bride and the groom were. Kimmie was the server assigned to the bride & groom, the bride's parents and my husband and me. Kimmie checked on all of us, all throughout the night, making sure we were doing well and continuously offered to get anything that we would need. The rest of the staff was equally kind and accommodating all night - to all of the guests. The appetizers were plentiful and delicious! The sit down dinner was hot and the food delicious! Our guests all commented on how delicious everything was and how wonderful the service was as well! Each detail was covered and it truly was a perfect wedding reception. I cannot thank Matt, Kimmie and the rest of the catering staff for their hard work and kindness throughout that entire event, from set-up to break down. I would highly recommend Zeffert and Gold!

We hired Z&G for a stations-style reception. Our event manager, Samantha, was extremely responsive to the dozens of questions we had about our guests' various food restrictions; they were able to accommodate everyone! And all of our guests raved about the food, from cocktail hour through to the mini donut bar! The Z&G team is very efficient, professional, and friendly. Would highly recommend having them cater your wedding or event!

Zeffert and Gold - let’s start with the most obvious, their food is amazing, the bakery that bakes their cakes is amazing. But the thing that really is special about Z&G is their attention to detail. Our wedding was at the BMA so our reception and ceremony were in the same room. Z&G had to transform the room during cocktail hour and they did an amazing job! I want to specifically thank Adelaide for all the work she put into catering our wedding. She was instrumental in its success.

We had a great experience working with Zeffert & Gold for our wedding. Adelaide was very responsive and helpful when we were planning, and the food on our wedding day was incredible. Several guests commented it was the best wedding food they have ever had! Could not recommend Z+G more strongly!

Monroe and team were AWESOME. Left and right Monroe made recommendations for us that fit our wants/likes/needs/budget and I cannot thank him enough for going above and beyond. My husband and I can honestly say that we left with full bellies and got to taste everything we had on the menu. I cannot recommend Zeffert & Gold enough to anyone looking for a caterer for their wedding (big or small).

As most of the other reviews have said, Z&G completely knocked it out of the park at our wedding. We have received nonstop compliments from guests that were able to enjoy the delicious food. Z&G also worked with us very closely to tweak, create and deliver on each and every detail that we envisioned during our cocktail hour and reception. They also made sure to curate a plate of all the hors d'oeuvres immediately following the ceremony and guarded the door so my wife and I were able to enjoy those first marriage moments and reflections while enjoying all of their delicious food. We also leveraged Z&G for the bar and mixers. We supplied the alcohol but Z&G executed the drinks to perfection. We had 2 signature drinks and the bartenders constantly delivered. Not only that, I would be remiss if I didn’t highlight the fact that Matt went above and beyond to ensure that my wife and I were never empty handed. It was honestly super impressive and almost as if he had super powers. Aside from navigating some curveballs and ups and downs, the dessert sealed the deal. They highlight the donut thing but I gotta say, they can offer so much more. We asked them to create and deliver desserts in a shot glass. Matt Gold was sweating it for a second but I don’t know why, because they delivered far beyond our expectations. Honestly it was absolute fire. Dessert shots of blueberry cheesecake, s’more cheesecake and Oreo cheesecake were delicious and convenient. I could keep going on and on. When it comes to catering, Z&G is bar none. They even help plan the schedule and help crest the table vision. My wedding planner commented that they have never worked with a more professional and diligent catering company. The DJ played extra songs because the food was so good. I’m not even mentioning how Matt helped to navigate handling the extra alcohol we had to return when the company didn’t show up or packing up all the leftover food to go. He also separately packed a to go for for my wife and I to have a late night snack. I have to stop myself from continuing this review. If you’ve even come close to reading this, stop what you are doing immediately and hire Zeffert and Gold to cater your next event.

BOOK THIS CATERER!! I cannot express enough how amazing Zeffert and Gold is! Their food is phenomenal and plentiful. We hired them for our wedding on 11.04.22 and could not be more pleased. We worked with Aaron leading up to the wedding day and he made all our requests work. I knew from the tastings that the food would be great, but I did not anticipate such an amazing staff. Of course, as the Bride, everyone was checking on me all day, but the Z&G staff waited on me, complimented me and made me feel like royalty. The staff was on point and found answers to my questions in record time. My guests complimented both the food and service which made me so incredibly happy. I hope to have the opportunity to hire this fantastic company again. If only they had a restaurant because I need more of their food in my life! A million compliments to the chef and all of the incredible staff!

We used Zeffert and Gold Catering for our wedding on 11/5/22 at the Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime park. We worked with Lisa Schatz and her team and they were PHENOMENAL. Our guests could not stop talking about how it was some of the best food they have had at a wedding. Lisa and her team were so knowledgable about the venue which was three stories tall and a lot of moving parts. I felt comfortable working with them the whole time. The dinner service was so smooth and we were so excited when we returned to our hotel after the wedding and saw they had packed us a goody bag with two meals and appetizers that we may have missed during the day. They had also provided us our own tray of appetizers in our 5 minute break before we joined our cocktail party. They servers and bartenders were incredible too. They checked in with us constantly and made sure we had what we needed as well as our guests. The bartenders were incredible and were even dancing with us throughout the reception. I cannot reccomend Zeffert and Gold Catering enough for a seamless, stress free wedding day your guests will rave about.

Z&G were amazing. Food was incredible. One guest told me it was the best salmon they have ever had! We loved working with Lisa. She made planning easy and was always quick to reply to our requests. Highly recommend them! Also appreciated them giving us recommendations on venue spaces or different things we could do to make our day special (i.e. signature drink ideas, taking some time away from everyone to be by ourselves with apps and drinks!, etc.)

We hired Zeffert and Gold for our wedding (cocktail hour and 4 course dinner/reception) and it’s one of the best decisions we made!! The food was insanely delicious, our friends and family are still raving about the dinner meal! We worked with Lisa and I cannot express how wonderful our experience was. She made everything easy. She was always available to answer questions and she went out of her way to make sure our needs were met. We were so impressed!! From the food tasting to the day of, we felt cared for and supported. On our wedding day, her team was amazing, always checking in to make sure we were enjoying the food and had a drink in hand. It was so appreciated!! Lisa helped create our vision into a reality in regards to our wedding cake and the timeline for the reception. Everything was truly spectacular and we cannot recommend this company enough!!

Zeffert and Gold catered our June wedding for 140 people at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. In addition to food and drink, they helped coordinate all rentals like tables, chairs, and linens. We did have changes in our contact person while working with them which led to a few miscommunications but overall everything went really smooth and we were pleased with how it turned out. The food was very good, which was important to us. The team at Zeffert was professional and were quick to answer any and all questions. We highly recommend them!

This review is long overdue! My husband and I were beyond thrilled with our experience with Zeffert & Gold. They were everything we could have hoped for in a wedding caterer. We worked with Amie, who was attentive, responsive, flexible, and patient. She and the entire Zeffert & Gold team were very accommodating, even when we had to change our wedding date on short notice due to Covid. There were so many great options for food that it was difficult for us to narrow our choices! We opted for all of our favorite foods, which included crab dip, pasta, BBQ sliders, tater tots, etc. Everything was delicious and our guests were quite impressed by the food. They even were willing to make my husband's family recipe for sloppy Joes! On the day of the wedding, they set up our reception space quickly and beautifully, and their staff was kind and professional. We were also able to take home our leftover food, which was wonderful. We can't say enough good things about Amie and Zeffert & Gold!

DELICIOUS food and incredibly attentive customer service!!! Matt was an absolute blessing for our big day! From the table set up and linens to the meals we chose, everything was executed perfectly!!! Our guests talked about the food for months!!! As the bride, the bartender always made sure I never had an empty glass. And believe me when I tell you their mashed potatoes are INSANE! Would 100% recommend

We want to acknowledge what a lovely job Zeffert and Gold Catering did for our daughter's wedding reception. We started working with them in 2020, but due to the pandemic had to rebook twice. They were more than flexible and accommodating. The staff was professional, kind, and patient. A special shout out to Amie Gold and Jane Parker who assisted a very nervous MOB on the big day. Jane's calm presence and experience made things happen on time and kept key players in good spirits. The food was even more delicious than I recalled from the tasting. I can't recommend Zeffert and Gold high enough for any occasion where you want an expert caterer to provide wonderful food and quality service.

They were very professional up to my wedding day. My wedding day I was very disappointed. The food did not taste the same from when we went to the food tasting and the food on my wedding day. Come to find out, they had another cook. Then not only did the staff setup....the table fell in half on me and my 8 month baby at the time with all my food, drinks and etc on it.
