We worked closely with Samantha, who was always quick to respond and answered any questions we had. We faced several obstacles, the main one being COVID-19. Samantha and the staff at Zen were all very communicative on any guidelines we needed to be mindful of and supported us in our decision-making every step of the way. The spaces at Zen are phenomenal! We chose to have our ceremony in the Bamboo Garden and it was gorgeous! They have an excellent rain plan (the lounge), so leading up to the day, I was confident everything would run smoothly! The spaces were clean and set-up exactly how we discussed! Our reception in the Studio allowed for plenty of space for our guests, caterers, and dance floor! My bridesmaids and I utilized the bridal suite to get ready, which was super easy! We were able to leave our personal belongings in that space for safekeeping during the reception. Our groomsmen got ready in the Lotus Lounge and enjoyed their time, as well! Zen is in perfect proximity to plenty of hotels, restaurants, and bars. If you have a lot of family and friends coming in from out of town, this is the place for you! Plenty of activities are within walking distance! I cannot recommend Zen enough! It's the perfect place for your wedding day!!

The caterer, the band, and the florist all told us up front that Zen is one of their favorite venues because they are so easy to work with and now I know why! The reception went off without a hitch. They provided ample bar tenders so there were no long lines at the bar and our every request was taken care of.

The staff at Zen sets up and takes down everything, which gave us and our families more time to relax and get ready. EVERY staff member we spoke with at Zen was so kind and supportive. We loved having our wedding there! It was beautiful and they made us feel special.

Zen bans the use of all sprays in this space—hair spray, setting spray, shine spray, dry shampoo, airbrush makeup, etc. Basically everything your beauty providers will need to use on you to help you look your best on your big day. They actually require you to walk down all the stairs and out into the garden area to spray your hair or makeup OUTSIDE. I’m not sure how you would even accommodate this if it were raining outside. All of the chairs and tables are low and swanky, and white, but definitely not the least bit practical for bridal suite purposes. Do yourself a favor and if you choose Zen as your event space, find an alternate destination for your primping the morning of.

They're forcing us to pay or they will take us to court. Take your services to another venue who will actually care about you. They are lovers of money. Run!!

much help along the way. Our wedding reception was perfect and our out-of-town guests were GUSHING over how beautiful the space was. They also provide bar services in-house and were the most affordable we found in town. The staff was phenomenal and Cameron made every step of planning feel effortless – she is truly a gem. We rented the entire facility with a reception for about 200 and it was a perfect fit. I could not recommend this space more!

beautiful environment for our daughter's special night. Zen's employees were all great especially the Bar Staff. Zen worked great with the caterers, DJ, photographers, florist and wedding planner. We couldn't have asked for a better venue. Although I had my doubts about the venue size, it easily fitted comfortably 168 guests and 24 tables. The ceremony went off without a hitch and also was spacious enough for our guests. all of our quests raved about this venue. And Best of All The Bride and Groom absolutely loved it and had a fabulous wedding.

but once we visited the first time, we knew it was perfect! The entire space is gorgeous. You don't need many decorations at all, as each room is already modern and so elegant as is. I was a little nervous, it was hard to get an idea of how everything would go and turn out, but it couldn't have been any more perfect. Zen and their staff were so accommodating day of, Amy is amazing and checked on us all day making sure we had everything we needed. We were married in the bamboo garden, again, no decorations ... it is so beautiful and peaceful! We had cocktail hour in the lotus lounge, which is an awesome little space, and the reception in the main room. There is a really cool place upstairs for people to get ready or for your bridal party to hang out day of. This entire place is just perfect. So many of our guests have raved about how amazing Zen is, we even have a friend who decided to get married here! I can't say enough good things about it. You get what you pay for, and Zen is worth every penny! If you want a wedding that is different, elegant and modern, Zen will not disappoint!

one was very cordial, courteous, and prompt with seating numbers and prices. The bride to be called the places she was interested in and made appointments for tours and information. We started early that Friday morning and ended late that afternoon, seeing 8 venues that day. The first 7 places were a definite no from Ayrn. Our last stop was Zen. We stepped in to the foyer and saw the beautiful sleekness of silver and black of reception area and the soft colors of the area for the ceremony. Ayrn knew as soon as she stepped one foot inside that this was where she wanted her ceremony and reception. The event coordinator was so very helpful in every aspect. She worked with us through everything. She also answered what seemed to be a 100 email questions. They met us at Zen on numerous occasions to let the groom and catering chef see the different areas. The owner Jeff was also great to work with. He is such a nice person and helped us make lots of decisions on the best way to decorate certain areas. The evening of the rehearsal went smoothly with lots of help from the staff. A gorgeous Saturday morning awaited us the day of the wedding. We arrived around 11:00am. All of the chairs for the ceremony and tables were in place for the reception, which had been decided on at a prior date. Everything went smoothly from ceremony to reception. We had marvelous food ranging from pork loin to waffles w/chicken. The wedding cake which was made by a special friend who owns Chubbs Cakes which is located in Donalds, SC was picked especially by the bride and groom. It was a red velvet cheesecake with cream cheese icing. It was out of this world! Not one piece was left at the end of the evening. We also had 6 different flavors of cupcakes. We had and open bar for the bridal party and a cash party for guests. We had over 160 in attendance and special friends danced the night away with the newly weds. DJ music was done by JO-JO from Honea Path, SC. As the evening came to a close and guests were leaving I was told by many of them that this was the best and most fun wedding they had ever been to. That made my heart swell with joy and delight. The pictures were all taken by CS Photography from Honea Path, SC. Carrie outdid herself. All of the pictures are wonderful and will hold so many memories for so many people who had a part in the glorious union of Matthew Gilstrap and Ayrn Sexton.

We worked primarily with Cameron throughout the year of planning, and she was always incredibly responsive and friendly. All of our questions were always answered within a day and suggestions for placements, etc., were promptly provided when requested. We rented the entire space, using the bamboo garden for the ceremony, the Lotus Lounge for a cocktail hour while the wedding party had photos taken, and then the Studio for the reception with buffet dinner and dancing. We also used the upstairs suite with full bathroom for the bride and bridesmaids to do final preparations. Because all areas are so attractive on their own, they required very little decorating from us, which made things very easy! We added no decorations outside in the bamboo garden, because the natural full greenery was very pretty without any additional decor. And the only decor added inside were floral centerpieces on each of the dinner tables in the Studio, as well as one very large floral arrangement at the entrance. As the big day neared, Cameron communicated directly with our vendors, as needed, to answer any questions, and she met with us a couple of times the week of to ensure we all felt comfortable with the plan. There was a chance of rain, so she helped come up with a backup plan, which thankfully wasn't needed! The day of, the Zen team was helpful in making sure we had a perfect day. Many guests commented what a great venue Zen was, and I couldn't agree more! It's a modern space, simple yet elegant, and the staff is so easy to work with. I cannot imagine choosing a better place for our wedding/reception and would highly recommend it to others!

I scheduled an appointment to go see the place & my husband & I immediately fell in love with it. It was so different, elegant, & beautiful! After a few days...the place was booked! The coordinator that I was personally working with & the owner were awesome throughout my entire planning! With over 350 people...our reception ended up being the BEST ever. Thanks Zen...I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place!!!

Both rooms are beautiful and fit for a great time.

My fiance and I had chosen a beautiful outdoor venue but we were not prepared for the hurricane threats flocking every news channel and weather site we visited. With only 4 days to spare we had to make the decision to change our venue with hardly any time to notify our guests or re plan the entire event. After several calls to various venues, I came across Zen and fell in love with the images posted online. I just knew that such an elegant space would be beyond our budget but called them anyway. They heard my plea for help and made an unbelievable offer allowing us to use their space and providing a full staff to ensure the everything fell into place accordingly. After my initial meeting with Cameron, I felt a major weight lifted off my shoulders and knew immediately that we were in good hands. We were given access to the entire facility for our Ceremony and Reception and felt the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. The venue itself was breathtaking and more than I could ever have dreamed possible for my wedding. The night could not have gone any more perfectly. I would absolutely recommend Zen and their hard working and professional staff for any event. The experience was an unforgettable one for all in attendance.

She was wonderful and always got back to me quickly on all of my questions I had. I wanted my guests saying that was the best wedding they had been to. And with the help of Zen, they did!!

. Zen is truly a unique space, especially in Greenville, SC. Don't worry--you pay for it. My heart was set and I wasn't having my wedding and reception anywhere else though and I was willing to pay for it. The atmosphere and decor is worth every penny, but the organization of the staff leaves a little to be desired. When I signed my contract there were lots of small perks added in and some things that were explained that became issues. The parking was free at first and then a month before the wedding it was $2 a car. Of course I didn't pay it, but it is just something I felt they are trying to tag on. Then my bar service was through them and when I signed the contract they didn't have a specific liquor list, but they assured me it wouldn't be all off brand liquors. Three months before the wedding she sends me a liquor list with all off brand liquors for the price I agreed to ($7/hr/pp). I ended up having to may $8/hr/pp, which was ultimately $400 more just to have Smirnoff, Jose, Jim Beam, and for the inconvenience I demanded Crown Royal. In the end, the place was beautiful and the staff was helpful, but they have a little work to do to be perfect.

agine a place more perfect - from the staff to the decor to the layout of the facility - Zen had everything we were wanting, and more! Cameron, Jeff, and the rest of the staff were always there to help with any questions we had while planning and had wonderful ideas to contribute! Their experience and creativity helped make our reception go so smoothly. The location of Zen was prime. We used their shuttles to transport guests from the parking lots to Zen. This was great, especially for the older crowd (or the girls with uncomfy shoes)! The industrial - modern style of Zen was perfect. From the high ceilings, to large glass windows, to murals and even the gorgeous bathrooms - Zen was not only beautiful, but UNIQUE. We did very little decorating and played up the large windows with votives. I still have people commenting on how beautiful everything was. We set food up in both rooms, had a bar in each room, and our guests loved roaming around to find new things. The balcony overlooked the dance floor and was perfect for guests that wanted to see everything going on. The patio area was beautiful. The side entrance made a wonderful exit as our guests could all line up to send us on our way! Zen was absolutely perfect and I would recommend Zen to ANYONE for ANY occasion. The staff is amazing, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the decor is breath-taking.

There was a perfect space for the band to perform. We also used the audio/visual equipment. Zen was also responsible for the bar and wait staff. The personnel were extremely helpful, efficient, and professional. Zen was perfectly beautiful and was an excellent facility for our family and friends to enjoy. Also, it was very accessible for those members of our family who needed assistance in order to be part of our celebrations. I would not hesitate to use Zen again for any function that requires beauty, efficiency, and elegance. Good Life Catering worked beautifully with Zen to provide a beautiful, delicious presentation of foods for both events!:-))
