Nicoletta Richardson is a passionate journalist with an editorial background in both print and digital backgrounds. She has worked at companies such as Hearst, LittleThings, Afar Media, XO Group Inc., Time Inc., National Geographic, along with independent authors and smaller publications. Nicoletta is also a graduate of the National Geographic Research program, which made her proficient in using research databases and programs. In her spare time, Nicoletta loves marathoning the latest Netflix show, doing at-home workouts, and nurturing her plant babies.
Experience
In her final years of college, Nicoletta interned with National Geographic Kids and Time For Kids. After graduation, Travel + Leisure hired her as a Freelance Editorial and Research Assistant. Nicoletta then joined The Knot team as an Editorial Assistant, writing articles ranging from interviews with wedding experts to thematic venue roundups and Bridal Fashion Week event coverage. She spent 11 months in this position before transitioning to an Assistant Editor position with Afar Media and later Staff Writer and Copy Editor for LittleThings. Nicoletta was then hired as a Social Media Editor for Women’s Health. After this position she assumed a Freelance Writer and Editor role with kimkim.com. Nicoletta first joined the Apartment Therapy Media team as a Senior Associate Editor of News and Culture in 2018. She was promoted to her current position, Entertainment Editor, after two years.
Education
Nicoletta attended Fairfield University in Connecticut, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in English with minors in Anthropology and Art History.
