So most importantly let's establish that setting your DJ up outside the building will be hard for any DJ to create a smooth flowing reception, with announcements and to engage your guests so they will stay later and dance. I had a timeline that we mapped out at our final 30 day out client meeting to what their final plans were. That evening I came inside the building from time to time to ask if they were ready for the next thing on there timeline. I simply asked were they ready to do the toasts at the time they had on their planning sheet. I was simply following their plans, they outlined for me to do. My payment policy is final payments on your contract are due 30 days out at your final client meeting, that's my policy. I downloaded the song I needed for the ceremony a day before and re-looped the song for the brides walk down the isle. It was the right song, just re-looped. It doesn't make a difference if I am using CD's or music downloads, it's the performance of the DJ that counts. If asking your grandma how things are going that evening, is offending her, well that's all I said to her the whole night and the only time I talked to guests was to take song requests. Riley gave me a very detailed song sheet and I had her come over to my DJ booth 2 times to show her what songs I had played and what songs she would like to hear next. The whole night there were only 2 songs that I didn't have. All of the brides songs were played because I showed her all the crossed out songs that I did play. I am a very professional DJ and I would never say or do anything to upset or offend anyone at anytime. Look at all my other reviews, they are very good. The bride thought it was my fault that all the guests left by 9:00 pm. They did leave early, as I was set up on the deck outside waiting for guests to come out and dance. If you don't have a DJ/MC inside helping with the flow of the night, engaging your guests throughout the evening with the necessary announcements, grand entrance, cake cutting, toasts, etc, its really hard to engage guests, & create a smooth flowing reception when you have your DJ set up outside. I mentioned this red flag to the bride and she still set me up outside. I have talked to Daniel the owner 2 times since then and I am welcome to play there again, as I have had a few brides call me and want me to play out there. Randy Drewel-A Lasting Impression DJ
