A Stitch Above the Rest

With my wedding and wedding dress in another state, finding a place to alter it was very difficult for me. A Stitch Above was wonderfully flexible, especially when I had to move my appointment due to a death in the family. They were flexible in scheduling, friendly, and very clear in what they would be doing to my dress! I added a bustle, had it taken in at the hips, and had the hem shortened. The bustle was very easy to explain to my bridesmaids and didn't take too much time to tie/button up. The dress fit me so well during the wedding and the bustle kept it off the ground for dancing. Would definitely recommend A Stitch Above the Rest!

These ladies did incredible job on my dress and rehearsal dinner jumpsuit. I ordered my dress from etsy and the sleeves were measured wrong, they helped me reattach new sleeves and also helped me think through options to lower the waist line slightly. They also did amazing alternations to the shoulders that made my dress fit like a glove on my wedding day. On top of all that they are so nice and kind to boot. Wonderfully friendly and welcoming vibe in their store. Can't recommend them enough.

Do not take your high end designer gown to this place. They did not tell me that my dress was beyond their skill set and nearly ruined it. I then had to pay a more skilled seamstress to undo the damage that they did to the dress and re-alter it correctly, three weeks before my wedding. It was a nightmare.

They take care of you like your family here! Very kind ladies that do a great job. If you are looking, wouldn't be worried about this place. My only suggestion is to call and book your appointment as soon as possible. They are popular and get filled up fast. I was able to get all my bridesmaids dresses done here.
