Adagio stood out to us from the beginning with Jay’s positive and professional communication and their glowing community reviews. For every couple’s review you read, I’m sure there were hundreds of guest comments about how awesome the DJ was! We loved their online profile for building a playlist and Jay’s extensive team of DJs, knowing that we’d be matched with someone awesome who would enjoy playing our music for our special day. Speaking of… Anna knocked our reception out of the PARK! She was so fun and excited on our phone call talking about the playlist and our special dances. She even helped us with some special surprises including playing the Father of the Bride theme when our reception space was revealed, to playing a recording of my husband and I singing together from high school during dinner. Anna created a great balance between upbeat and slow songs, modern to oldies, and our dance floor was full the ENTIRE night! Her positive and professional attitude on top of her incredible skills absolutely made our reception the success that it was. Thank you, Anna!

We had the best night ever and it wouldn’t have been possible without our DJ! We had Derek and he was AMAZING!!! He was so nice, helped carry along our timeline even when we decided to run a little earlier on things! He was able to read the room and the vibes and make wonderful choices of timing and songs! The dance floor never died once! There was always people dancing! We got many compliments on it being one of the greatest weddings they have ever been to! We cannot thank Derek enough for help making our wedding day one of the best days possible!

Mel, our DJ, was GREAT!!! She played a variety of songs/genres including many songs we put on our wedding spotify playlist, and she accepted requests and played them immediately, which was awesome and helped our dance floor stay full all night long :) We were so happy with how the dance went and all of Mel's help announcing toasts, speeches, and getting the wedding party lined up for the grand march was excellent. She did a fantastic job!

Luke was our DJ through adajio and he was absolutely great, would give him 5/5. We had a small hiccup with communications with adagio a few weeks before the wedding which added a bit of stress, but in the end everything turned out ok. We did absolutely love the uplighting we got through adagio and thought they were a very fair price.

First things first, our DJ Berndt was AMAZING. He was on time, professional, did everything we asked, and really knew his audience (even down to doing live announcements of the Iowa State football game during dancing, iykyk). We struggled with putting a playlist together, but he filled in the blanks perfectly and caught onto our vibe SO FAST. I'm subtracting a star due to Jay, the owner of Adagio. During our wedding planning, we had two calls and he was VERY late to both of those calls. Trying to plan a wedding in between meetings at your full-time job is hard enough without vendors being late to pre-scheduled calls! Additionally, be aware that additional fees might get you - examine your contract closely before signing! There is an extra charge for requesting a specific DJ (that was fine with us, but be aware), and we also got charged an extra $200 two weeks before our wedding because the original contract didn't include set-up time for some reason. Overall though, I would say our DJ was worth the money, and probably even worth the hassle.

DJ Berndt was seriously so great and we would use him over and over again for any event that needs a DJ. He listened extremely well to our wishes and requests, and completely tailored to us. Our DJ Shay was incredible! From the start, they worked closely with us to understand our taste in music and the vibe we wanted for our wedding. The dance floor was packed all night, and they knew exactly how to read the room and keep the energy up. We had some unique song requests, and they nailed it every time. The sound was perfect, and all the transitions were seamless. I would highly recommend Shay to anyone looking for a fun, professional, and talented DJ!

Adagio was EXCELLENT. We heard them at another wedding and loved the vibe and knew we needed them for our wedding. Great customer service, very clear and easy to use online planner, and they matched us with an awesome DJ based on what we were looking for. Derick was so good at reading the room and kept the dance floor going when it needed to, but backed off when people wanted to chill. We had the time of our lives on the dance floor. He was also super professional, kind and accommodating.

We had a great experience with Adagio! We hired them because our venue highly recommended them, and they did not disappoint. The dance floor was a huge priority for our wedding, and Ben and Faith did a great job. From the first song to the last song, the dance floor was packed and guests were having so much fun! Ben did a great job communicating with us throughout the evening, too. He made sure to touch base with the officiant and live musician before the ceremony, and rolled with a few timeline changes in the reception – including a surprise flash mob, which he integrated into the dancing so it barely broke the flow of the evening at all. Adagio’s general communication is awesome, too. We used their “most requested” list to build a playlist, which was really helpful, and Jay or another staff member was always really quick to answer our questions. We’re really glad we went with Adagio, and would absolutely recommend them to other couples!

Shay did an amazing job of creating a playlist based on mine and my fiancé's general themes and vibes we had described. Isaiah Ousley (one of Adagio's DJ talent members) did a great job as our wedding DJ! He took time to meet with us before the wedding in order to get familiar with our plan, our taste in music, and prepare his equipment for the reception. He went above and beyond for us by preparing separate equipment in a different part of our venue for us to do our first dance in a special location that was apart from the main dancing area of the reception and the transition between the two was seamless because of how well prepared and experienced he is. We also had some last minute changes to our speech schedule that he handled extremely well. And of course the playlist he put together was exactly what my Wife and I were looking for. Isaiah Ousley was exactly what we wanted in a DJ. He was polite and thorough during the planning process, had all of his equipment setup and fine tuned for the day-of, and executed the plan and short notice adjustments perfectly. It was an easy decision for us to give Isaiah Ousley (and Adagio Djay) the best rating possible, he took great care of us on our big day and we know he would do the same for anyone else. I highly recommend Isaiah Ousley, Adagio DJay, and their services!

We had the BEST experience having Isaiah DJ our wedding!! All the guests kept asking us what company he was from and commented on what an amazing job he selecting the music. Everyone from my 5 year old flower girl to 73 year old father was out on the dance floor enjoying the variety of songs he chose and he did an incredible job switching into more late-night picks that we got to enjoy with our friends. Even with our smaller wedding size, the floor was busy the entire night with how he was able to read the room which was exactly what we were hoping for! He did a great job giving us suggested songs prior to the wedding for specific parts of the evening-- such as the anniversary dance-- and incorporated the perfect amount of guest requests. We cannot say enough great things about our experience with Isaiah and Adagio Djay Entertainment! It absolutely made our night so memorable!

Leading up to our DJ selection, Adagio sent great reminders and information to my partner and I to help with out planning. They were always willing to talk and responded in a timely manner. Our DJ selected for us was Derick. He was absolutely amazing! During our check-in call 1 week before our wedding, he asked great questions to help him learn what we wanted on our wedding detail. He was detailed and organized. Two things very important on a wedding day. During the wedding, Derick gave such great energy and really helped make our wedding ours. He communicated with us throughout the day to ensure things went as we wanted. I only have wonderful things to say about Adagio and Derick in particular. Highly recommend him for your wedding!

Working with Adagio was a great experience. Everyone we interacted with was very helpful, and they made that part of planning the wedding easy. And Berndt was the best DJ we could have asked for! Before our wedding, he called us to introduce himself and get a better idea of what we wanted our wedding day to be like in terms of music, announcements, and the progression of the reception. He was very open to our ideas, and when we were unsure about something, he gave great advise. As for the music, we didn't give him much direction. We had a handful of songs on our 'play if you can' playlist, but we left the rest up to him. The dancefloor was never empty. Berndt has an amazing talent for reading the room and adapting the music to the crowd throughout the night. We had a lot of guests tell us how much they loved the music and overall vibe that Berndt created. Highly recommend Adagio, and get Berndt if you can!

Our DJ (Justin) did an amazing job. He made the night run smoothly and ensured we kept on track with the timeline provided. I only give 4 stars due to the pre-planning process. The website you use to put in song requests isn’t user friendly and took quite some time to find and submit songs. Also, you aren’t assigned a DJ until the week before your wedding so it felt a bit last minute and would have liked to be connected sooner.

Anna was extremely responsive and answered all emails/questions promptly while planning our wedding. They matched our personalities and preferences perfectly with the DJ they assigned. Adajio offered a package which guaranteed us an experienced DJ for our wedding at our specific venue which we loved. Preenon kept the dance floor going all night and I have had friends and family reach out since the wedding commenting on how great the music selection was. He also did a great job checking in with the us as the bride and groom to make sure everything was perfect for us. Including helping facilitate table releases for dinner, speeches etc.

Very knowledgeable, professional, respectful, and fun! All our guests commented on how much fun they had dancing, and what a great DJ! We couldn't agree more! Adajio was amazing from start to finish. We originally booked with them because my sister had used them and it was such a fun dance. Going through the process myself, I was amazed. They are incredibly professional and prompt to answer questions. They are thorough and clear on details and to do's. We decided to do some dance classes with Krista - she was amazing! So much fun and knowledgeable. She was really personable and made us feel comfortable. We're so glad we did this to gain some confidence for our first dance! Our DJ Anna was spectacular! She was so much fun and easy going! She has a great sense of music and kept our crowd going the whole night! She managed our day of schedule and timeline with ease and professionalism. Carlie at Adagio was fantastic! She was extremely attentive to our wants and needs throughout the ceremony and reception. Wedding days can get hectic and she made sticking to our timeline extremely easy. Additionally, she ensured all of our guests were having fun and played a wide variety of music! We had a good experience working with Adagio. We selected them because the price point fell right within our range and they came highly recommended by other couples we know. We initially got matched with a DJ who didn't really seem like a perfect fit, so we requested Luke and had an AWESOME experience working with him. We had very distinct "vibes" we wanted throughout different parts of the evening, and Luke was able to match all of those and play every single song we wanted him to and then some. Music was such a big part of our day and we're so thankful we ended up with a DJ who really fit our overall style. Our one recommendation for working with Adagio is to request a specific DJ if you are very picky/particular about your music selections like we were.

Everyone was outside and he happily moved areas so we could enjoy. We absolutely loved our experience working with Adagio Djay Entertainment and our DJ Berndt Evenson! From booking our services up until our DJ was assigned, Jay was absolutely lovely to work with. He even booked our live Violinist, Jim Plattes, for us. The process of working with Adagio was easy, stress-free, and just absolutely amazing. Our DJ Berndt Evenson was phenomenal. He completely matched our laid-back and stress-free approach to our big day. On the day of the ceremony, he was so in tune with our audience and was able to make adjustments to the length of our dances so nothing felt too long or people tuned out. He was upbeat, so fun to be around, and was an absolute joy to work with. We sprung one last minute request onto him, which was to surprise us with a private last dance song and let me just say, Berndt did not disappoint!!!!! Cannot recommend Adagio and Berndt enough!!

We worked with Krista Haskins at Adagio Day Entertainment. She was fantastic and she helped make our wedding day so special. Due to the weather, we had to transition last minute from outside ceremony to inside and Krista was running around in the rain to get all her gear and reposition it inside. But not only that - she was helping the other vendors to get everything situated too. We just thought it was so cool that she cared so much to help make our day smooth. Our DJ Berndt did an amazing job! He was so easy to work with and very laid back which made the experience perfect. His music selection was great and kept the dance floor going throughout the night. The planning with Adagio was also very easy! They are very responsive and they always have time to talk if you need them!

We hired Adagio DJ for our wedding to be the DJ and the videographer for our big day. They did not disappoint. Mel, our DJ, was phenomenal at keeping the vibes going and responding to the energy of our crowd. Joel, our videographer, was incredible. He and his assistants were fun to work with and working well with my photographer, they got some incredible shots. I will sing Adagio's praises forever!

Mel from Adagio DJ was great! We received so many compliments on how great she was. Planning was so easy and stress free. She kept people on the dance floor and helped make everything go smoothly. Could not recommend this company and DJ more!
