My Fiance and I had our engagement session with AL Weddings a few weeks ago and I cannot say enough perfect things about them! Working with Sara and Alex for our engagement and wedding photos was the best decision we made. My husband hates taking photos and they were able to bring out his natural smile and make everyone feel at ease. They accommodated our travel schedule to them for our engagement shoot and their travel to us for the wedding weekend! Alex and Sara were the absolute BEST wedding photographers!!! They made the process low stress from the get-go and were so much fun to work with! Our wedding day ended up being cold and rainy, and I was worried about how the wedding day photos would turn out, but they could not have been more perfect! We got hundreds of beautiful shots that captured the day perfectly (and it didn’t even look like it was raining). The wedding day was so efficient and Alex and Sara were totally prepared for anything we may have forgotten/needed for the day of. I don’t know where to being to tell you how much we LOVE AL Weddings. We met Sara and Alex while they were photographing a few previous weddings that my husband and I were in. We knew immediately that we had to have them. We (quite literally) planned our wedding date and venue around their availability. It was that important to us to have them there! No one could make you and your wedding party feel more comfortable, understood, and at-ease. From engagement photos, to rehearsal dinner, to the entire wedding day – I was looking to Sara and Alex to help ease anxiety and make us comfortable. They more than delivered on that every time! Alex is so great with the groom and groomsmen, making sure they still have fun even when we make them pause their day for photos. Sara ensured I had a smile on my face the whole day and never had an ounce of stress! We used AL Weddings for Full photography and videography. Sydney and Andrew, the videographers, were just as incredible to work with as Sara and Alex. Everything feels so organic with them! I HIGHLY recommend you book photo and video together with AL Weddings. These four know how to work together so well and make sure that every single detail from your day is captured beautifully. One of the best parts of the process with AL Weddings (coming from a super type A, over-planning bride) is the amount of communication from their team. They made absolutely sure I was comfortable with everything from timelines to focus points to the dreaded family formals (which, by the way, when incredibly smoothly thanks to them!). Anything that was important to me about the day, they went above and beyond to make sure we captured it. We booked the full day package for both photos and videos, which I highly recommend. At no point were we worried about timelines or rushing to do exit photos. This package also included rehearsal dinner coverage which is probably the most undervalued wedding necessity! I am so happy we get to keep the memories of our closest friends and family through video and photo. This team is the best to work with if one or both of you is a little nervous about being in front of the camera. All four ensure that your comfortability is their first priority. We never feel pushed to do anything we didn’t want to do. They were able to capture parts of our day that were very emotional and personal beautifully without us ever feeling awkward in any way. Just ask my husband who cried on Alex and Andrew’s shoulders at multiple points during the weekend! I could go on and on about how much we love the AL Weddings team. As I am sure you can tell – I give AL Weddings a 10/10 on everything. There is no vendor I could more highly recommend!

From the first email, I knew I wanted AL weddings as my photographers! they were my first vendor to contact and didn't even bother to email or to search for another photographer! we live in Ohio and decided to do our wedding in Alabama so we had a very limited time in Alabama but Sara, Alex and their associate Leighann made us their priority and managed to fit us in for an engagement session based on our schedule even though they were really busy with weddings that week! We had the absolute best experience with Alex and Sara!! Sara and Alex are SO wonderful! From our very first conversation with them, my fiancé and I knew they would be the perfect team to for us to work with. Our engagement session was such a great experience, and Alex and Sara made us feel so comfortable. We were nervous about knowing what to do/how to pose, but Alex and Sara has everything covered! They guided us so well and everything felt so smooth! They were even able to get some perfect photos of our two dogs (both under 2 years old), which I thought would be quite the feat! I can’t say enough wonderful things, and we can’t wait to have them shoot our rehearsal dinner and wedding next year!

Working in the wedding industry, picking vendors for my own wedding was challenging. However when it came to photographers, I knew exactly who I wanted. Sara & Alex are truly the best, they made us so comfortable throughout the day & made taking photos so much fun, even in the June heat! AL Weddings is EVERYTHING!!!! My fiancé Will and I got engaged in December 2021 and quickly dove headfirst into planning our upcoming October 2022 wedding. If you are looking for your wedding photographers STOP RIGHT NOW, BECAUSE YOU FOUND THEM!! I can’t say enough good things about Alex and Sara! They are kind, passionate, and just so positive! We just took our engagement pictures recently, and within a week of taking the pictures we had them all back. They were beautifully edited, and I could not believe that we got them all back so fast! Not to mention that we had a beautiful sneak peak the next day after the engagement session. Alex and Sara were so much fun to work with too! There was never a moment where we felt awkward or like we didn’t know what we were doing. They walked us through every single step, and even my fiancé (who isn’t a picture taking kind of guy) really enjoyed our session! AL Weddings is worth the investment!

My brother and now sister in law got married last July in Alabama and AL Weddings captured their special day. Alex and Sara were simply amazing. They have a way of not only putting you at ease while you pose for the camera, but also making you feel like you’ve been friends for years! Their warm demeanor really turns their photography sessions into a fun hang out with friends where there happens to be some professional photographers capturing the moment. They are also great communicators. Any questions/concerns/etc you have are answered quickly and clearly. Not to mention they were just a phone call away when we had to suddenly move our wedding because of COVID. They were flexible and understanding to our very 2020 situation. Sam hates having his picture taken, but when we did our engagement session, he admitted he had the best time! They made it so effortless and easy for him and we cracked jokes the entire time. Fast forward to our wedding- we were now a Covid couple trying to decide what to do. Sara talked to me so many times and she was always available and offered so much help and advice to me. We came up with a plan and it was the best day! I can’t speak highly enough of their quality of work either. Every picture I have received back is breathtakingly gorgeous and makes my heart beat a little bit faster each time I see them. They capture the day so well and I’m so glad we will have all of these pictures to last us a lifetime because at the end of the day, that’s all you have left from your wedding.

From the beginning of planning, I knew I wanted to have video memories of our wedding day. After reaching out to AL Weddings a little over a year from the big day, I hopped on the phone with Katie & Alex, and instantly knew that I wanted them to be there to capture video for us. Not only were they so kind and thoughtful, but it was extremely easy to put together the right package of hours of footage and extras based on all their offerings. Come the day of the wedding, they were a calm presence on what can be a crazy day. They are so fun, encouraging and will make you feel like models. I'm amazed at all of the little moments they captured, many of which photo may not have. I'm so grateful for their talents and that we have footage of the best day to relive, and laugh and cry with our family and friends. We will cherish the video for years to come. I don't know where to begin because there aren't adequate words to describe how truly AMAZING the entire team is from AL Weddings. We were blessed beyond measure to have AL Weddings do both our photography and videography for our wedding. They seriously become your best friends and are there for to help celebrate your engagement and your marriage...They will even dance the night away with you if you make them. :) Let's not forget how they have the art of their craft down to a science. They work so seamlessly that you don't even realize that they are there. I could not have imagined sharing our happy day with any other photographers but Alex and Sara. Their easy-going and conversational style added so much fun to the overall experience. I cannot say enough good things about Sara and Alex. They were amazing. My husband and I are NOT easy to take pictures of. I usually freeze up when there is a camera around, but I felt so comfortable with them and was legitimately having fun the whole time I was with them. They are so much fun to be around - I felt like they were just part of the wedding party. They were super supportive leading up to the wedding with answering all of my questions (some not even related to photography) and sending us little gifts along the way. They were very easy to work with. I highly recommend them.

I seriously can not recommend Alex and Sara enough! From the moment we met them I knew they were some pretty special people! They made us SO comfortable at our engagement session and seriously made it so fun! They were so down to earth and it was like we had known them for years! They told us that an engagement session could be done in about 20 minutes but they blocked off 2 hours because they wanted to have time to talk and get to know us so that on the day of the wedding it wasn’t “oh look our photographers are here” but more like “look Alex and Sara are here” and honestly that stood out to me so much! It’s so easy to get in and do a job but the fact that they care so much about their clients and the relationships they develop with them is so huge! On top of that the pictures we received back, three days later might I add, were BEAUTIFUL! They seriously knocked them out of the park and they were more than I could have ever imagined! If you don’t have a wedding photographer yet, run don’t walk to book Alex and Sara with AL Weddings!!

AL Weddings is a MUST HAVE for your weddings in Birmingham and surrounding areas. We had both teams, Alex & Sara for photography and Alex & Katie for videography, and because of them, our wedding day was incredibly smooth. You don't realize how having 2 teams from the same company, or just 2 teams that are friends, will make such a difference BUT IT DOES! They have both photography and videography (plus dealing with large bridal parties, small children, and "difficult" family members) down to a science, which as a Bride is a total plus. You get beautiful pictures and incredibly moving videos for a fantastic price, while also gaining friends for life in these folks. Again, you cannot have a wedding without the AL Weddings teams! We love yall!

We booked Alex and Sara for our upcoming wedding next year and just had our engagement shoot- we are completely in love with our photos and haven’t stopped looking at them!!! They are so easy to work with and made us very comfortable in front of the camera (which is NOT easy). The turn around time for photos was unbelievable- only two days! (Although, we were their first session of the year so I don’t think they had any other material to complete before ours. However, Sara did say we would have a blog up by the next week and the full gallery in 2-4 weeks max). We are so excited for them to shoot our wedding and can not recommend them enough!

Alex and Katie did a phenomenal job capturing moments that really show my fiancé and I's relationship during our engagement session. Right off the bat they were full of so much energy and so fun to work with! We received over 200 pictures back within 5 days of the session. I can't wait to work with them again during on the big day! Highly recommend!!!
