Alyssa's has so many beautiful wedding dresses available. I went in and immediately fell in love with a dress. It only took a month for my dress to get in from the day I purchased it. Alyssa’s does their alterations in house which made it so much easier. They were able to order my dress in a customizable length which ended up being the perfect length with heels on, and I didn’t have to get the bottom hemmed. The alterations process was so easy and was done in about a month. I received so many compliments on my dress! I absolutely loved it.
I had an amazing experience at Alyssa’s! Michael was helpful in assisting me to find a dress, make alterations, and even did adjustments day of my final fitting because I am getting married in another state! I highly recommend Alyssa’s bridal for everything you need!
Alyssa’s Bridal single-handedly ruined my wedding dress buying experience. Not only did they order me the wrong dress in the wrong size, they ordered one of my bridesmaids two dresses and didn’t order my Maid of Honor her dress. Then had the audacity to tell her she had gotten fat since the first time she came in to choose her dress. Thankfully I had taken photos of my bridesmaids and MOH in the dresses they ordered when they ordered them. They straightened that out but it was unnecessary stress. One of the men tried to blame the error on one of my bridesmaids by saying someone called in their sizes and changed their dress. No one did. He just didn’t want to admit that they’d messed up.
Story Time for Wedding Dress:
The first time I went in, I found my dress. It was beautiful and I was happy. I went to go pay and that was when they told me that it’s a +$250 charge for sizes 18+. I was a little annoyed but being a plus size person, I understood because that’s just how it is. They took my measurements in store. The receipt I was given said that I ordered a size 20.
When the dress came in, it wasn’t even the dress that I ordered. My dress had cutouts under the arm that helped shape my torso. The dress I received did not have the cutouts and it was ordered in a size 18W. I looked it up online at Allure and due to the dress being newer than 2018, the difference between an 18W and 20 was almost two inches. They said we could either reorder the size 20 or alter the size 18W by adding the cutouts, which would let out the dress out a little around my ribs. If we reordered, we wouldnt have time to do the alterations. So I chose to do the alteration. Big mistake. The cutouts weren’t in the same sleek shape and the additional alterations to let the dress out were visibly noticeable.
During my last fitting, my dress was still a little too tight (they had let it out about an inch) but at that point it was the week of my wedding and we didn’t have time to do much else. One of the men then told me not to feel bad about myself—“we all eat when it’s cold outside.”
At the end of the day, a dress that was supposed to cost me ~$1400 ended up costing me $2000+ after alterations and steaming. After all the hell that I went through with this shop, they didn’t offer a discount or even offer to steam the dress on the house.
I strongly suggest against using Alyssa’s Bridal for wedding/bridesmaids dresses. In addition, they are not very plus-size friendly.
I came to Alyssa's after a horrible dress experience at David's Bridal the day before. The horrible experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I was super nervous to go into another wedding salon for fear of having the same encounter. But from the beginning, I knew something was different. A sweet girl by the name of Sarah met me as I came in (she was with the owner). She was kind and smiling. She took me over into the dresses and listened to what I envisioned for my dress, and the past experiences I had with dress shopping. She was hopeful I would find my dress, and this time would be better! She started taking dresses that I liked over and setting them aside. Then she recruited the help of a more senior consultant Shawna. And Shawna was a saint! Together with Sarah and Shawna I had a tag team of consultants that I felt understood my vision, my likes, and dislikes. plus, I felt I could trust their experience. I trusted them to pull dresses that I necessarily wouldn't first think of trying. And I am soooo glad I did. Because they gave me this dress called "Alma" and she was beautiful. She was a lace bohemian style, with a lace bodice, and a V-shaped back. She was Cream, and Ivory two-tone variant. I stepped into her and was sold. Shawna would ask me about where my rating of the dresses were, and if they didn't make it near an 8 we would take them off and not think twice. But as soon as I tried this dress it was at the top of all others. I came out of the dressing room saying it's a 9! I didn't want to take her off. The dress was so pretty, and Sarah and Shawna dolled me up and put a cathedral veil on me and I looked and felt like a princess. Then they looked and they asked that all-important question... "Are you saying yes to this dress?" I did! It was such a sweet magical moment where I found myself crying happy tears. I had found my wedding dress. I can not say enough positive things about my experience with/at Alyssa's Bridal. It was such a vast contrast to the previous experience at David's Bridal. I would recommend brides come here first and ask for Sarah, and Shawna they are amazing! I wasn't rushed, I wasn't lacking for assistance or choices in dresses. They were so wonderful. I felt attended to, listen to, and respected. I felt like they cared. I plan on shopping there for my Fiance, and his groomsmen's suits. They can also help with bridesmaids, and mothers of the bride, groom outfits too! They are a one-stop shop!
Alyssa's Bridal is were the bride said "YES" to the dress for the Wilkerson/Chilton wedding it was fabulous the entire staff is verify knowledgeable, and professional from start to finish. I could not believe how many amazing choices my daughter had to pick the right dress for her wedding day. Last but not least as for pricing they can't be beat, they have a plan for every budget, how awesome is that a one stop shop for your dress, and bridesmaids dresses, mother of the bride dresses as well as all other necessary accessories, along with any other needs and concerns you may have, they happily assist you in the right direction! Forever thankful for Alyssa's Bridal and their staff.
I will forever do all of my formal wear, tuxedos, and alterations at Alyssa’s! I purchased my wedding dress here and it was nothing I expected but everything I wanted! I absolutely fell in love with the dress. Not to mention they were so patient, understanding, and very personable. The owners took time to talk with me and my family and that customer service goes a long way in our book! The owners are awesome, customer service is amazing, and the dress options/selections are vast. Highly recommended shopping at Alyssa’s!
I love this place they have some of the prettiest and most unique dresses you will ever see. They take pride in their work there and do a great job. Michael did a good job on my dress and I'm super happy about wearing it this weekend to a benefit dinner!!!Thank you !!! This place Beats any of the bridal stores in the area by far.
I give 0 stars. The owner “helped” me. Told him what I was wanting but had to walk around the store and find dresses myself. Most of the dresses were very old. Then when trying on dresses, he would say something inappropriate about my figure and how awesome the dress looked on me. He also made a comment about what I should wear on my wedding night. Then when trying to leave the store, he would move in front of me when trying to leave! I just had to be rude and walk out, which is what I should’ve done from the very beginning!!!
Micheal is the best! He was very professional and helped us find the right tux and price for our budget.
I felt like I got a lot of personal attention here and it wasn't nearly as crowded at the other bridal shop I went to. They had quite a few unique dresses here.
They will make your wedding dress dreams come true. I went here because they sell Allure dresses, which is what I wanted. I bought this beautiful ball gown that was spaghetti strap... i always wanted those Kate Middleton lace sleeves... well Michael and team made that dream come true. He ordered the lace from my dress and made full length sleeves for me. The results were absolutely stunning! I ordered all my bridesmaids dresses from here as well... once again, absolutely STUNNING!
Great service from Michael. There were a few hiccups along the way, but overall very pleased. They have a wide selection and great prices!
My dress was beautiful and so were my bridesmaids'! They made my dress fit wonderfully! They worked very well with my bridesmaid who all had completely different body sizes and shapes. My wedding dress cost around $1,800 after everything was said and done, and with my bridesmaids dress it was around $3,000 total (we paid for them though). There was some "mis-communication" at times, but overall I was happy with what we got!
they were awesome. we got my wedding dress there as well as all of the tuxes.
I went in thinking that I wasn't going to love anything. Nothing wrong with the dresses, but they just weren't my taste! Once I tried on my dress, I had that bridal dress moment! The staff was so sweet and helped with everything. I would use them again, but hopefully I never have to!! ;) Spent around $1,500, but they have a huge range of prices!
The reason we had a semi big wedding is because i wanted a couture dress and I Loved my dress but, they Hemmed my dress for me to wear two inch heels after I told them not to hem it at all and were very mean and disrespectful about still made me pay for the hemming. after about 2 weeks of fighting with them they ended up steaming it for free
I went to Tulsa for a day because I live in NWA and made several appointments at wedding dress boutiques. Alyssa's was the second store I visited and the service was amazing, I had plenty of privacy (I only took two people with me to pick out the dress), there was no pressure of feeling that they were trying to upsell me and I ended up with a dress that fit me like a glove. I was extremely impressed by the entire process and especially the alterations. I was only engaged for seven months and I only had to go to Alyssa's three times - once to pick out the dress, once for a fitting, and once for a final fitting and to leave with the dress!
I said yes to the dress with Alyssa's Bridal. They were fantastic all the way through. They worked with us on everything and treated us very nicely! We will be shopping there in the future.
I had only looked at two other dress vendors before when I visited Alyssa's. They have a wide variety of dresses and price ranges to choose from and I was thrilled with my dress. The staff was very helpful.
I also had my dress altered and steamed at Alyssa's and they did a wonderful job. Very reasonable prices. Be sure to check them out!
I was not planning a visit to Tulsa to look for my wedding gown, but while driving through found Alyssa's Bridal and of course that is where I fell in love with my gown!
I worked with September who was a delight! She listened to my desires and worked with me to find exactly what I was envisioning. They were also great about making custom features to the gown I chose. A longer train, added blusher to the veil, buttons to the back of the gown, etc.
Because I was from out of town all the ordering was done long distance but to perfection. They were happy to help and made sure I received my gown in time to have a local seamstress complete the final tucks and touches.
My sister ended up having her bridesmaid's dress alterations done here and was also very pleased with the result.
Wonderful experience and glad I stopped by to find my dream gown!
decent prices but would have wished i went to david bridal for a better experience. Plus the talior was really creepy and made me feel VERY uncomfortable. NO STARS FOR THEM
They did not have that great of a selection. They lady who helped me was very nice, but she was not good at listening to me. I told her the style I was looking for and my size. She kept pulling dresses that were not even close to my size so i could not tell what it would look like on me. This might be a good place for others, but I was not happy with my experience.
Very dirty, very disorganized. Alot of the dresses they have online are not in the store, only dresses in the store are out of date prehistoric styles. The facility is very old and not well kept. Every dress I was interested in had to be ordered for me to try it on. We left without trying anything on at all, I think we were in the store for a grand total of 20 minutes or so. I had an appointment, but no one came to greet or meet me, from the time I walked in to the time I left, I only got help from the ladies I asked to see if the dresses I liked were in stock.
Bought a beautiful dress for a great price from Alyssa's. They took care of the alterations, which seemed a little expensive, but were very fast about it. I went in to pick up my dress three days before the wedding and had lost a few pounds. They did some rush alterations and I had a perfect fitting dress in plenty of time!
I bought a floor sample from them in January 2012. It was a size 10, I’m a size 2-4. The dress was strapless, with a low back and all lace. I spoke to one of the owners (Michael) prior to purchasing because I knew alterations could get pricey and he agreed to do all the alterations for under $200 and the French bustle for about $25. I paid for the dress and alterations and kept my dress until the end of May. I had my first fitting with Michael and he pinned the side seams and then started to address the top. Because the dress was being altered so much it was going to alter the line of the dress from the cups down to the back. Michael folded the dress over on the size of my breast and asked if I felt that was too revealing. I felt that it was and told him this. He told me that they would go on and take up the side seams and then the next fitting we would deal with the top and the hem. He informed me they would call me when I needed to come back for the next fitting.
By the beginning of July I had not heard from them so I called and was told my dress was there and I could come in whenever I wanted for the next fitting. I went in on July 6th with my mom, tried on the dress and imagine my shock when I learned that they had went on and cut the top in the manner that I had told them I wasn’t comfortable with. There was nothing to do about it at that point except to make it fit tighter so it was more secure. The other owner was there at that time and argued with me about it not needing to be tighter, but ultimately pinned it to take about a ¼ inch off each side.
I was supposed to have my dress back a week prior to my wedding so I could take it to another vendor who had made a sash for my dress and was to be putting that on. I had to call every day the week it was supposed to be done and was told multiple times that it was still at the seamstress and someone would call me back about when I could pick it up. Finally, on the day I was supposed to pick it up I received a call from Michael telling me that my dress would be there that afternoon. When I went to pick it up, they had not taken up the extra on the sides to secure the top as I had asked, but at that point I no longer trusted them to work on my dress and took it the way it was.
I wish Michael had told me originally that due to the amount of alteration to be done it was going to alter the dress dramatically and I would have gone with one of the other choices, which I could have ordered in my own size. If I could do it again, I would have gone elsewhere and would have bought a different dress.
I loved my dress but I was unhappy with the service and alterations. My dress had to be altered twice and even after that, my MOH had to rehem the inner lining of my dress and pin it so it fit my waist properly.
Amazingly helpful and friendly salespersons! I got my dress here on clearance and had it a few minor beading issues, so I got it altered and rebeaded here as well and it was BEAUTIFUL! I got it altered about a month before the wedding and it was ready within two weeks. I would highly recommend to anyone!!
Great
I had a wonderful experience at Alyssa's. I adore the two men that run the shop, and Michael has a talent for identifying flattering gowns. They know their industry well, and make the shopping experience entertaining and fun.
My gown was totally reasonably priced and perfect! Michael and his brother are fabulous people and such gentlemen. We had a great time finding my dress and the ladies who helped us out were accomodating, timely, and super friendly. I'd recommend Alyssa's any day!
This place is good. I absolutely loved my wedding dress.
Alyssa's seemed like a cluster of prom dresses and wedding dresses all rolled into one, with no particular order to the store. It was all a bit confusing and there were so many people in the store, it was like a mad house.
Alyssa's bridal was such a fun experience for me. They got my wedding dress and gave us a discount on ordering our bridesmaid dresses through them. I had to have my dress steamed and cleaned twice the week of my wedding. They were so nice in fitting me in and getting my dress all ready for the wedding.
I found my beautiful dress here but the service was awkward and often stressful. If you get your bridesmaid's dresses here make sure you know that there will most likely be an alteration fee up to like 90 bucks!
They had my perfect dress and great service and help! A wonderful selection of anything you are looking for no matter what the style or price.
Got my designer dress for only $150; alterations on site for $50. Amazing full gown that took everyone's breath away.
I ordered my dress in North Carolina and had it shipped to Alyssa's. I was overall happy with them until they did not have my dress steamed when I went to pick it up. I am from Edmond Oklahoma so after my fitting I made it very clear that the next time I came I was taking it home. They offered to steam it so it was ready (there was a charge which was no big deal). I said sure. When I came back 6 weeks later they had not steamed it and just told me to come back the next weekend. I told them that was not an option unless they were going to pay for my gas. I said to just give me my money back for the steam and I would get it done in okc but they said to just give them an hour to fix it. Um 3 hours later they finally were done. I was not happy AT ALL! Now with all that being said the alterations were perfect and overall the staff is great! I was not a fan of the selection of bridesmaid dresses but that was just me.
I used this store for my Bridal gown, flower girl dress, tuxedos for the entire wedding party and sashes for the bridesmaid dresses, which I bought elsewhere. I found the most beautiful dress here, and although every bride thinks that...my dress was the talk of the evening, even more so than I expected. The customer service was great throughout the numerous visits. My flower girl dress was bought and the store helped me match sash colors to it so that all of the females in my wedding party coordinated. When the sash order was not right the first time, the store graciously fixed it. The entire tuxedo experience was also perfect and chaos free. As stressful as this part of wedding planning can be, I had a great experience. I was very pleased with the helpful and friendly atmosphere and great selection of dresses. One little thing that also made it perfect was being allowed to take a picture of the dress I bought. I was able to use this picture at home as a reminder of style while I was planning the other details of the event. I also used the picture to match the unique ivory color of my dress to the wedding invitations. Most wedding shops are stiff and wont allow cameras. I was truly appreciative of being able to take the pictures. Finally the cost of my dress and other items was very reasonable. My dress literally looked like a million bucks and yet I was able to afford it on an average budget. I would definitely recommend this venue!
My dress was the right price and they altered it well, but when I went in a couple times, they seemed very busy and distracted. I was happy with the service.
This past year my sister got married and this fall I got engaged - in both circumstacnes we have used Alyssa's and they have went above and beyond in helping us. Michael, the manager, is always helpful and goes out of his way to help you try dresses on. I would recommend them to anyone.
