Tejel and her team were fantastic coordinators for our wedding! We could not have been happier with the result as her experience and professionalism paid off throughout the weekend. Because Tejel had also worked closely with our decorator, DJ, and many of our other vendors, she was well-equipped to handle any minor issues that arose during the planning and execution of our wedding.
From the start, Tejel was friendly, responsive, and transparent. She explained her approach, listed all the things covered by her different packages, and was fair on pricing. Because we had already selected our other vendors, we retained her for “month of” coordination for our sangeet, ceremony, and reception. That said, she has a ton of experience and knowledge of the Bay Area Indian wedding industry so we’re sure she’d be fantastic at doing more comprehensive planning and coordination.
About two months prior to the wedding, Tejel was part of our site visit with our decorator and gave us great tips on how to make each event run as smoothly as possible. In the month leading up to the wedding, she made sure all of our vendors were aligned on timing and their obligations (e.g., ensuring that the vendors had proper certificates of insurance, coordinating timing of caterer deliveries, etc.). She also worked with us to make sure that our timelines provided enough time for the hair-and-makeup artists, photography, and other key vendors for setup and execution. Her experience was valuable at every step.
During the wedding weekend, Tejel and her team were fantastic. First and foremost, they made sure that we did not feel burdened by any of the logistics because they were so well organized. Second, Tejel and her team made sure that we had food and drink during each event. This may seem like a small thing, but it allowed us to enjoy the events fully rather than worry about trying to get a drink or a bite to eat. Finally, Tejel and her team were great communicators – they let us know if they had any questions about any of the details or decisions that needed to be made and they made sure our families were kept up-to-date as well.
Tejel and her team also managed the minor issues that occurred during the wedding weekend. For example, one of our guests had a fall during one of the speeches at the sangeet. Tejel and her team made sure that the guest was OK and minimized any disruption to the event. Similarly, we noticed that there were no steps to help guests get onto the stage to take photos with us during the reception. Within two or three minutes, Tejel and her team had arranged for the hotel staff to bring stairs to the stage, which made it much easier for our elderly guests to take photos with us on the stage. Finally, during the wedding ceremony and reception processions, Tejel made sure that guests or other hotel staff did not get in the way of the carefully planned processions. This made sure our photography and cinematography came out as nicely as possible.
Simply put, if you are planning an Indian wedding in the Bay Area or Napa and want a high-quality wedding planner/coordinator for your events, then you should strongly consider Tejel and her team.

After interviewing several planners early in our wedding planning process, Tejel stood out. Her non-pushy approach, direct communication, and genuine, down-to-earth demeanor immediately put us at ease. She not only understood our vision for our big Indian-fusion wedding but also responded promptly to every question we had (sometimes almost too quickly). Tejel understood us and there was no one else we believed could bring our wedding dreams to life. She’s fun too!!
From the initial stages to navigating several unexpected hiccups, she was our unwavering guide. She was there for us when our initial wedding venue canceled on us. She provided suggestions for the best vendors, leveraging her connections, when the ones we originally booked fell through. She was there when my reception outfit didn’t work out last minute, sending me options of who to call. Tejel's advice was invaluable; I couldn't have tied the knot without her unwavering support.
We also had monthly calls together that made planning seamless. Her mastery in handling family, vendors, and venues was impeccable. I was always in awe watching her interact with different individuals with such finesse.
On the big day, she went above and beyond – personally ensuring I was fed and orchestrating behind-the-scenes magic for our complex schedule with 2 ceremonies and 1 reception (all in different locations). She took care of my husband, all family members, and prioritized the guest experience. Her friendly, approachable demeanor added a calming and fun touch. Tejel truly made our wedding a flawless and joyful experience. Highly recommend!
We hired Tejel and the ABT team for 30 Days Coordination for our 175 person fusion wedding in October 2022 because I was so detail oriented and wanted to be hands-on in designing every aspect of our three days of events. Of all the planners I reached out to, she was so prompt in responding right away, and was always reachable by email, phone, and even text in the case of an urgent request in the months leading up to our wedding. She (and the ABT team) did a wonderful job of making sure each day went smoothly, so much so that we actually got to eat our wedding food and try all of the drinks. On the day of our outdoor Sangeet, it was much colder than anticipated, and when she recommended adding 5 more huge heat lamps, we trusted her judgement -- it was the best decision because it saved our guests from freezing and made our event possible. When we had an issue with finding the the right size of round tables for our reception at the last minute, she was able to lean on her excellent relationships with vendors in the Bay Area to source the tables for us. Overall, she was very easy to work with, and someone we knew we could rely on to get things done -- so much so that my bridesmaid promptly hired her for her upcoming 2023 wedding!
