First mistake was not reading reviews for this shop before I went. Second mistake was to let the owner pressure me into making a decision to buy a wedding dress at my first appointment. I had not been to any other dress shop so I did not know what to expect.I did love the dress I chose though so I thought it would all be fine...but I was greatly mistaken!
I went in telling the salesperson that I was getting married in 5 months and needed a dress quickly. They assured me that I would receive my dress in plenty of time. I ordered my dress beginning of August and they told me it should arrive early November which should have been perfect for my New Years wedding. It did not come until late November and when I tried it on I could not get the sleeves all the way up my arms nor could I pull the skirt of the dress down where it should. When I voiced my concerns to the salesgirl, Gail, she was not very reassuring saying that she didn't know if it would work either but that I should ask the seamstress at my appointment. I was greatly reassured after talking with the seamstress Abby, that she could make the dress fit the way I had envisioned. I happily payed for alterations and made my second fitting appointment. 3 days before my second fitting appointment, I get a phone call from the shop saying that they are closing and that I need to pick up my dress ASAP and that my alterations would not be done even though they were paid for. When asking the owner why they took my money for alterations he proceeded to complain about the mall to us and we never got a clear answer as to why they wouldn't complete the agreed alterations. They first stated that the store was closing, then it turned into the seamstress couldn't do it for some reason, then it turned into my fault because I didn't order my dress in time. The company cares nothing for their customers and takes advantage of the wedding industry because they probably will never see you again. Don't go here!
PLEASE DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR AND AVOID THIS PLACE!! I don’t usually write reviews but this is definitely an exception. If I can help one bride avoid the heartache that my daughter went through it will be wortlh the great amount of money we lost to these people. They took the measurements and ordered the gown in the size Okie determined was correct. Not only was the gown late in arriving as promised it was grossly sized wrong. They tried the tactic to say that my daughter gained weight but a remeasure showed she had not changed- proving they were at fault. They still insisted that it was somehow the fault of my daughters figure. We ageeed to have their tailor review the situation. Even the tailor was surprised at how off the gown was. She agreed to ‘try altering the gown’ but only a few days passed and the shop called to say they would not be altering this gown and that we needed to get our dress because they were closing their doors. Of course you can imagine our shock and dismay as we were only 3 weeks away from the wedding. They were even more rude and obnoxious when we came to the store to discuss the problem. We were met by a huge man who rudely pointed to the dress and said there it is take it and go. Okie was no help either and only acted as if she - the owner - had no ability to help us. I refused to take the gown as is and attempted to dispute the charge with my card company. This did not prove to help either so today I am stuck with paying for a gown that is not wearable. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.! STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE. I have now learned that they have been moving their shop through the county - most likely the malls get tired of dealing with their shady practices too. Once you pay them - you can kiss their kindness and respect goodbye.
Aria Bridal is the best! I found my wedding dress on accident while shopping with someone there. When it finally came time for me to order the dress, I found out it had been discontinued. They were able to find me a dress in my size and color that had not been sold yet from the designer. I also needed the dress altered, and they did an amazing job. It looked perfect! Everyone in there is so down to earth and very upbeat. I would recommend it to anyone.
Number of stars was difficult for this one... The seamstress makes this shop amazing (5 stars for sure)!! She helped my sales person sell me the dress by pinning it how she would alter it. She did a great job with the alterations. The difficult part was the scheduling, the owner kept telling me to come in earlier than other alterations recommended beacause it was prom season and they were gonna be busy. If the seamstress would not have sold me on my dress I would have gone somewhere else for sure. Seems like no big deal but I had a few pounds I wanted to lose and I wanted the dress to fit perfectly on my wedding day. What bridal shop tells a bride that it's gonna be prom season so make sure to come in early.
I purchased my wedding gown from Aria Bridal- I could not have been happier, it was absolutely gorgeous and I had not seen anything like it before. The staff were very friendly the day I purchased my gown, but every time I called with a question they took a long time to get back to me, or never did or staff never wrote down payments that had been made. My bridesmaids also ordered their dresses through aria bridal- again we were pleased with the dresses. The biggest thing Aria Bridal needs to work on is communication. Overall, great place.
I fell in love with a Sotero Migdley dress that had already been discontinued but they somehow managed to still make it for me. It was lovely and I absolutely loved it. The bustle did break so I was a little bothered by that since I paid almost $100 for it to be added but overall it was good.
Bridesmaids got their dresses there as well and my mom as well as my mother in law. They received a discount since I bought my wedding dress there too.
They have a huge selection of dresses, veils, belts, etc. I found my dream dress on my first visit AND found my bridesmaid dresses at the same time!
The women there are so friendly and helpful. My husband and I got married on a Monday and our entire bridal party was from out of town and didn't get in to town until the Friday before the wedding. Well, the wonderful seamstress was able to alter all 4 bridesmaids dresses in the amount of time it took us to walk next door to grab lunch. Seriously. She was so accommodating.
All of the dresses were beautifully altered and just looked incredible. I couldn't have been happier!
I was so excited about using this company, as they have many different options for color/styles of bridesmaids dresses. I chose the beautiful Royal blue silk shantung material and told my bridesmaids they could choose any knee length style they wanted (great, right?!) The color and styles were beautiful - HOWEVER - literally right before we were to walk down the aisle (the music was already playing), one of my bridesmaids reached down to pick up my train and the ENTIRE zipper broke. Meaning from the middle of her back all the way down past her tail bone!! We had to run back to grab the emergency kit of safety pins and put about 12 pins down the back of the dress. Needless to say, she was mortified. And no, the dress was NOT too small, it fit her size 2 frame perfectly. Then, at the reception my now sister-in-law also had the dress break!! I find it inexcusable that 2 out of the 7 dresses completely broke. When I called the company, they were only going to give us 15% off the order, which I found to be ridiculous! They did offer to fix the dress, but let's be serious, who would want to wear that again?! I had to be firm and demand a full refund for the 2 dresses, which honestly I still don' think is enough. We should have gotten those refunds + at least 15% on the other dresses for the stress it put everyone through.
I would not recommend ordering from this company unless you're fully ready to mend the dress yourself.
I initially set out for a Maggie Sortero hence why I ended up here. Ended up finding the most gorgeous gown by David Tutero. I fell in love and so did my mom and friends. Overall this shop wasn't the greatest I had browsed, however Abbey was such a sweetheart she makes up for everything else. I ended up getting my alterations done elsewhere due to reviews online. However if you're in the area or running out of options meet with Abbey and see what she finds for you.
I had started shopping for my wedding dress online. I found the designer I liked (Maggie Sottero) and did a search to see which stores carried her dresses. Most of my friends were telling me to go to Costa Mesa for all the high end shops. We even had a girls day scheduled to trek to Mon Amie in Orange County. Seemed like everyone had heard of Mon Amie and felt it was worth the drive. But I at the last minute I said lets see if we can save ourselves the drive and go to this Escondido store which carried several of the designers I liked. When we arrived we weren't impressed with the decor. I would say they could use an update. But they had exactly the dress I wanted, the customer service was excellent, and they were cheaper than the OC stores. Plus everytime I had to go back for fittings or just to show the dress to my mother, it was way more convenient. I highly recommend them. They have a huge selection.

I LOVE Abby!!!! I went to this shop originally because they were having a trunk show for my favorite designer, Maggie Sottero. I had such a fun time picking out dresses with Abby. I went in with an idea of what I thought I wanted and was surprised to find that there was a much better dress waiting for me. Just as our appointment was winding down, I asked Abby to pick out a dress for me that she would have picked had I not come in with any ideas. And that was it... she brought me my Geneva gown! It was sooooo me! Lacey and elegant, but with details that fit my personality perfectly!
After that wonderful experience I went to Aria Bridal to find my bridesmaid dress for my cousins wedding, and again, they did not disappoint! All of my fittings and appointments at this shop have been very good experiences. I would definitely recommend this shop and Abby to anyone!
I love my dress! I went in to view a trunk show, and ended up purchasing the first dress I tried on! Once I told Abby what I was looking for, she immediately located the dress of my dreams!!! I attempted to try on other dresses, but the first one was the best. She was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I visited the store with my MOH, MIL, and MOB and each commented on how personable and caring she was. I would definitely recommend this store and recommend using Abby to help you find your dress!
This may be a problem all brides have, but since Im not a size 4 there was nothing for me to try on. They kept trying to squeeze me into these dresses and they all looked awful. Reluctantly I bought a dress that day from there. I wanted to change it all the way up til the end, but I never did. Thankfully when my real dress came in, it was amazing. I just didn't get the momment and experience I dreamed of when trying on dresses.
The sales consultant, Abby, knew what dress was "made" for me after I had told her whatI was looking for. The first dress I every tried on was the one I fell in love with and bought. Abby is great with people and was so helpful. I purchased my veil and flower clip here too. It was weird how I searched at many bridal shops for these three things, and they had them in one store.
My dress didn't need a lot of alterations, but they did that there too and it came out perfect.
My dress from Aria was absolutely beautiful!! The dress I chose looked like it easily cost $3,000, yet I only paid $700. The seamstress (Abby) is young, professional, and knows her stuff. They have a huge selection of all types of bridal gowns, as well as bridesmaids dresses. I chose my bridesmaids dress here as well, and Abby fitted them all perfectly. Two of my bridesmaids flew in just the week before the wedding, and Abby was able to get them fitted within a few days!
Although this store doesn't look like much (it is attached to the North County Fair Mall), don't let it fool you!! I highly recommend going to Aria.
I came to Aria with a picture of what I wanted. They took that picture and put me into the perfect dress. I ended up trying on one dress and buying that dress.
They women were so helpful. I live over an hour away and they stayed late to fit my dress and save me an extra drive for a second fitting.
I could not have asked for more
They totally saved me! Got me an amazing dress in a short amount of time when another dress store sold me a horrible knock off dress. The employees at aria go way above and beyond customer service wise. My only complaint is the alterations for my wedding dress and my bridesmaids dresses. We were all held together with safety pins by the end of the night. But they did say they would fix everything no problem and appologized profusely!
I went in with an idea of the dress I wanted. I picked out at least a dozen to try on. Brittany was the employee who helped me and she picked out a dress for me to try on...and I told her it wasnt my style. She asked me again after I tried everything on and didnt like any of it. I agreed to try it on for her and immediately knew it was "the one"...I couldnt have been happier with my dress and I wish I could wear it every day! Thanks Brittany!
Abby was my sales consultant & she was SO HELPFUL!! Although I already knew what dress I wanted to try on when I arrived at the shop, she totally was all about me & never tried to sell me on any other dresses because she knew I had my heart set on this one dress. Small world- she had also helped one of my other good friends find her dress about a year before I came in the shop and she totally remembered my girlfriend and the dress she picked. Now THAT is pretty spectacular.
I found my perfect dress here. They are so super helpful. I have not only purchased my wedding gown here but all of my formal gowns from Aria. They are he best of the best.
My dress was amazing and the service is great! Loved the process of getting my dress through Aria Bridal.
I have really mixed feelings about this place. When I bought my dress it was located in Mission Valley. Abby was the sales consultant and she was FABULOUS! So knowledgeable and sweet...and picked the PERFECT dress! Unfortunately, between the time I ordered my dress and it came in, the location closed down and no one called to inform me of this until after my dress was in. So driving the hour at rush hour was not my idea of efficiency. The people at the new store did not make me feel nearly as comfortable and I probably wouldn't have bought the dress from that store. So overall, I have to give three stars because I LOVED my dress and the price was right but I did not get a good vibe at the Escondido location.
Although they offer alterations, they are not professional bridal quality. After paying about $200 for my wedding dress alterations, I had to take the dress to a professional wedding seamstress to have her fix what had been done at Aria. Abby, who is an excellent salesgirl (I'd trust her in a second on that) also did my alterations. She clearly did not have knowledge or experience in working with all types of fabrics, seams etc. for wedding dresses. Aside from the fact that her basic knowledge of sewing was not enough for wedding dresses, the work she did do was extremely sloppy--seams not straight, cuts rough, etc. She also told us she didn't have a full size ironing board and the dress does NOT come pressed and ready to wear for your wedding day.
All in all, it was a stressful experience, especially when my mom and I gently asked Abby questions about alterantives to things that looked sloppy she became defensive and even condescending telling us there were no other options and she's never had complaints about that, etc. Interestingly, the professional seamstress we went to afterward told us she regularly has brides coming in asking her to fix sloppy alterations done by Aria.
BEAUTIFUL dresses! One of a kind. I got a Maggie Sottero dress of my dreams! I also bought it off the rack & saved 20%. They give military discounts and do quick alterations. I went to 5-6 dress shops & looked for hours online & tried on about 25 dresses.
I went to Aria bridal when they still had a shop in Fashion Valley. Abby spent 3 hours with us, and got me into every single dress I wanted to get into, no matter how small it was. She knew what dresses would look good and which wouldn't be so flattering. When I couldn't decide what dress I wanted she special ordered in another dress just so I could try it on. She is fantastic! I had to go up to Escondido for my fittings after buying the dress which wasn't bad, at least the store is right off the freeway and has an outside door. The only problem I had was they did my alterations including hemming my dress and the hem fell down before the reception even began which was dissapointing, so I would go somewhere else for alterations.
I worked with Abby directly. She was amazing. She knew her designers, styles, fabrics, and knew what would look best. I pretty much gave her free reign.
I can't give them 5 stars because the owner is rude and pompous and at one point really put a damper on one of our visits. I just had to ignore him completely. I did NOT use their alterations department for that reason.
I found the perfect dress (at many stores) but I couldn't find it in white (only ivory). Abby, from the Aria Bridal at the Fashion Valley Mall, called me when she found the dress in white. She was extremely helpful and she helped me find the perfect dress!
Very friendly staff, affordable choices, variety.
I ordered my dress here and when I received it a couple of months later it didn't fit. They immediately ordered me a new one in a different size and I received it the next week - no additional charges!
Thank you!
I bought my wedding dress here and I was very happy with my experience. I showed my bridal consultant (Brittany) pictures of what I was looking for and my price range and we started pulling dresses. The dress I fell in love with was one that she picked for me!! She was super helpful as were all of the other ladies in the shop. On my last fitting, I ran into the owner and he was very rude to both me and my mother. I was quite upset because all of the ladies that work for him are so nice and made my experience so wonderful. I ended up getting my jewelry and veil here. Like I said, wonderful experience :)
I was a bit way going in, it looked like they only had Prom and Quincenera dresses. But they have a great selection in the back, racks almost overflowing with dresses. The saleswoman (Abby) was very helpful and was able to pull dresses that worked for my figure and my price.
Beautiful selection and good quality;Oldish salon - could use some updating. Doesn't have the elegant feel that many salons have.
It isn't the greatest looking location but the have the hugest selection of wedding dresses I have ever seen and a wide range of styles and prices. Give yourself more then one day to try stuff on because it is tiring. Their in-house seamstress was excellent too- she hemmed my dress and added a bustle;veils anywhere are overpriced. Make your own or go to Michaels
They had an amazing selction of dresses. I especially loved Maggie Sotero and they had racks of her dresses- by far the best selection in San Diego
