Professional grade Shure wireless microphones can be provided for the officiant, vows and special readings. He also offers live and/or recorded music and DJ/MC services for engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, elopements and small to medium size dinners and receptions/micro-weddings. He will work with the venue staff and planners to test the sound to make sure it's nothing short of perfect, because that's what your wedding should be. Austin's main sound-system is a top of the line wireless "Maui 5 Go" PA system, which does not require electricity. He also always has backup speakers, instruments and additional equipment on hand in case they are needed.

y broad range of music in different genres. We had some specific requests for the ceremony songs, but gave very general guidance for the prelude/postlude to the ceremony. He worked with us at both levels of specificity - a few short conversations, along with a simple form for music requests, was all that it took to prepare a great performance.
Though I wasn't able to listen to most of the performance (as I was preparing for my entrance with my spouse-to-be), what I heard was beautiful, and we received compliments about the music from our guests. We would definitely recommend Austin for anyone looking to have a talented guitarist play at their wedding!

The ceremony music was absolutely wonderful, it was romantic (Band of Horses and Chet Atkins) and gave it a very personal feeling. For the cocktail hour he played a lively combination of Brazilian and contemporary stylings that kept the mood light. Multiple guests approached us afterwards to compliment his playing and the atmosphere it added to the venue.

I met Austin Charnis at the New York State School of Music at Fredonia. He was a music major for classical guitar and I majored in education. He lived across the hall and would practice his classical guitar all night after going to guitar class...
all day. One evening I mentioned to Austin that "some day you are going to play at my wedding." Five years later, in Ithaca NY, Austin was able to make our wedding a real experience. I gave him a play list of songs from Pachelbel to Led Zeppelin! He was able to professionally develop each song and make it a wonderful melody for our pre-ceremony, through the ceremony and precessional.

Austin Charnis is a classical guitarist who has been playing for over 20 years.
He studied music performance at SUNY Fredonia and received his BA in Music Business in 2009.
Performing professionally for over 10 years, Austin has worked with dozens of couples to provide colorful and unique music for ceremonies and cocktail hours in Westchester, New York City, the Hudson Valley and surrounding areas.
His repertoire features Traditional Classical and South American selections, Classic Rock, Latin/Jazz standards & Blues/Bluegrass/Country tunes, and he can learn just about any song you'd like!
