They did an amazing job on our wedding cake! The Baker responsible for designing and delivering our cake was fantastic. He created exactly what we asked for and delivered our cake right on time to the venue. Not to mention the cake itself being absolutely delicious! Our guests could not stop talking about how amazing the almond cake and chocolate cake was. I would highly recommend Azucar bakery for any event

Azucar is so easy to work with! The cake tasting was spectacular and almost made choosing flavor even more difficult because they are all so good! Wedding Cake was wonderful as well as cookies and chocolate strawberries. They even delivered easily. All the quality is well over the price you pay.

We were so happy that we discovered Azucar Bakery for our wedding cake! It was fantastic! We tried another very well-known bakery in Denver before we tried the cakes here, and their cakes didn’t even come close to how amazing the cakes are at Azucar. You can call and order a sampler box to try multiple flavors. We went with a 3-tier cake with simple white frosting on the outside and then put a few pink roses on the cake. It was gorgeous! We chose the lemon-raspberry flavor for 2 of the tiers, and then chose the chocolate with chocolate mousse for the other tier. All of our guests loved this cake, and ate every piece of it! It was completely gone! We only got one bite of our cake during our wedding, so we ordered a small cake the week after our wedding so we could enjoy more of it! We plan to order one every year on our anniversary. Stop shopping around and go with Azucar for your wedding or other event, you will not regret it! Thank you!

Beautiful beautiful cake for our wedding! The tasting was so fun and professional, we tried just about every flavor option and chose our favorites. We had an amazing 3-tier (each a different flavor) that all of our guests loved. When we realized our guest count was going to be higher than anticipated Azucar graciously added cupcakes so our friends and family could all have a treat! I can’t wait to reach out in a year to have them make us an anniversary cake. Amazing service, we couldn’t be happier

We LOVED our wedding cake. The tasting with Azucar was amazing. The head baker walked us through the entire process. We had our decision made the second we walked out the door. We went with three different flavors for our tiered cake. We had the strawberry, spring mix, and the guava. We also had a sheet cake of the chocolate ganache. It was too hard to decide on a favorite. All of our guests commented on how amazing the cake was, and they were wanting seconds. Unfortunately, there were no leftovers for us the next day, but we are glad our guests loved the cake as much as we did. We also like that they make you a fresh personal cake on your one year anniversary, so you don’t have to worry about saving any.

We absolutely loved all 3 flavors that Azucar Bakery made for our wedding cake! They did a great job during the tasting, and we loved our beautiful wedding cake on our wedding day. Azucar exceeded our expectations with cake/cupcakes for our wedding! Our consultation was super easy and helpful in deciding what we wanted. Everything was very organized and the cake and cupcakes were delivered directly to our venue with no hassle on our part. And the cake turned out so beautiful and delicious! We used Azucar for our wedding cake and can not be more pleased! My husband and I loved out of town while planing our wedding and James and his staff were very accommodating to help us plan and taste our cake as needed. They took care of everything and really went above and beyond. The cake was delicious!! And the decorations matched what was in my head perfectly! This is an all around welcoming and talented bakery!

To start with the positive side, if you want the most delicious cakes in Denver, Azucar is the answer! The cake tasting was amazing...and difficult to choose the best tasting option. The tasting appointment went smooth. My mother-in-law used them as well for a 2 Grooms Cakes at the rehearsal dinner & welcome party, it was the cutest caking cake with great detail. Both our wedding cake & grooms cakes tasted excellent. However, when it came to our wedding cake, a picture of purple mountains from light to dark purple was provided and attached to the contract and our contract stated "following coloring of attached photo".....yet our wedding cake was delivered with all blue mountains. Thankfully for Azucar, I had been told by several of our vendors that I was one of the more chill brides they had the pleasure of working with and when it was delivered, I'm no bridezilla and it was what it was at that point, however that shouldn't downplay the fact that we were disappointed since the theme of my wedding was all purple and that cake was the only bit of blue at the wedding. I received an email during our honeymoon requesting the tree stump be returned as it was late, and I informed them that it was returned to some staff in the back 2 days after the wedding, and at this point I informed Josie of the incorrect color situation. She said that she was going to pass this information off to the owner so he can be in contact but it has been a week and we haven't heard anything just to make them aware of the situation. A little disappointed that no one ever reached out to apologize... Again, delicious cakes and our grooms cakes were beautifully done which I thank you for.

Azucar was incredible. My wife and I were looking for a bakery that was easy to work with, affordable and most importantly made really really delicious cake. We loved the tasting and actually went with one of the flavors they surprised us with. We ended up getting a 6” round cake for cutting (strawberry with strawberry filling) and two quarter sheet cakes (coconut walnut with dulce de leche filling OMG, and chocolate with chocolate ganache) and everything was so so so good. Couldn’t be happier with this bakery.

We got this cake as part of our package via our Le Meridien reception. We paid extra for a mountain design. We had a blast tasting the different flavors, and the cake was just as moist and delightful as during our tasting. We can’t wait for our anniversary cake!

Azucar made the PERFECT cake for our wedding. They worked with us to customize our two tiered cake for the exact flavors we wanted. They made a sweetheart cake just for us. The cake tasted absolutely amazing, and was visually perfect. I highly recommend them for anyone planning their wedding.

We hired Azucar Bakery for our wedding on 11/7, the cake is amazing, delicious and so pretty!! James is very helpful and helped us designed the cake. There are tons of flavors you can choose from and each one of them is delicious!! My husband and I love their cake and service, and we will keep going back for their cupcakes as well!!

We ordered our wedding cake from Azucar bakery and it was SO delicious! During the tasting we selected 3 flavors to try and the bakery came up with an additional 3 to taste. It was so hard to pick just one, so they worked with us so that we could have 3 flavors for the wedding (funfetti, chocolate chocolate chip, and carrot cake)! They were so accommodating and great to work with. The cake looked beautiful (flowers added from my florist). We kept all the leftovers and over a week and a half later they still taste amazing. Highly recommend working with Azucar bakery!

Azucar nailed the design of our cake! It was exactly as we envisioned it looking and tasting. They delivered the cake to our venue and were very easy to work with/accommodating when rescheduling our wedding during covid-19.

Azucar made our wedding cake and it was phenomenal! They got all the design elements perfect and it was stunning! The cake itself was delicious! The guava cake in particular was the thing my husband was looking forward to the most! We expected (and were excited) to take home leftovers, but it was all gone at the end of the night! And we ordered enough for 20+ more people that attended. Azucar was so easy to work with, had good prices and made beautiful and flavorful cake! a major win!

Best cake ever! We had 3 flavors of cake, and it was impossible to choose my favorite (lemon, chocolate raspberry, and chocolate dulce de leche). I knew the design was going to be beautiful, but I was literally stunned when I saw it at our reception! The Azucar team perfectly placed our topper and fresh flowers on top, and it was the perfect focal point. I can't wait to have another opportunity to order another cake from them!

Love Azucar. We've used them for other occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, etc) so it only seemed fitting to use them for our wedding as well. Not only are they understanding and flexible, they truly want to get your vision right. Although we postponed our reception (with our intended cake) we still got a cake for our microceremony and it was almost all anyone could talk about. You can't go wrong with them!

My wife and I got married this past July and we chose Azucar. We were so impressed by the quality of their desserts on our big day. We made some specific requests to match the theme of sunflowers and mountains for our wedding and they were able to match them perfectly on our cutting cake. The hardest part of our experience with Azucar was choosing which of the many different delicious and unique types of cupcakes we would use on our big day! Our cake was so delicious- we went with their zucchini cake! We went into our tasting expecting to try the three flavors we had pre-selected when booking our appointment but were pleasantly surprised to get to sample six and I am so glad we were able to because we selected a flavor we never thought to try! The staff was so kind and very responsive. My husband didn't even like cake until he tried Azucar's and now we cannot wait to get more treats from them!

Azucar made the best cake! We wanted a simple semi-naked cake, and they made it look so pinterest-worthy. We had so many compliments on the cake, and people had 3 pieces. The only downside was that we didn't get any leftovers because people enjoyed it so much.

I had used Azucar in the past for work functions and they were great! After striking out multiple times with other wedding cake vendors (and being horribly disappointed with service &/or product), we decided to check out Azucar's cake tasting AND WERE BLOWN AWAY!!! Thank you for the delicious and beautiful wedding cake! We came in and worked with Danielo to make our cake design. He was so professional and made sure we understood what they could and couldn't do. He made suggestions like no navy blue frosting in the dead of summer or it will run. These suggestions were perfect for people who have never ordered a cake. The cake was delivered on time, looked amazing, and somehow tasted better. If you need cake, desert, or empanada's in Denver, this is your place! We had guava with guava frosting for the bottom cake and strawberry with fruit frosting on the top. We tasted a lot of amazing flavors at Azucar, but if I had to choose again, I would do the exact same pairing. I can't wait to have a reason to get another cake here, or just drive by and pick up a few deserts....

I love this vendor! My cake was nothing less of spectacular. It tasted delicious and was beautiful. I was so pleased with the outcome. We ordered a 4 tier cake. Strawberry shortcake top and bottom and coconut Bavarian cream for the center pieces. So good. Also we ordered cookies for party favors. They were all gone by the end of the night! I can’t say enough good things about this place! Also I love the owner! He’s such a sweet person!

I ordered our grooms cake several months ago and couldn’t be happier with the results! We knew we’d need to bring some Texas flair to our Estes Park wedding venue. Azucar Bakery did not disappoint. You are in good hands with Azucar Bakery for your wedding cake (or any cake)! The bakers at Azucar are experienced and very talented. They excel in beautiful and delicious cakes! After our tasting, I felt super comfortable with their ability to create our wedding cake. I knew what they delivered would be delicious and our guests loved the cake! We did a three tiered cake, the bottom and top layer were chocolate cake with hazelnut, and the middle layer was lemon with a lemon curd! Just a few words of wisdom, make sure the bottom layer is the flavor you want to eat because that's where you'll slice your first piece from!

The consultation and tasting was amazing. The cake wedding day looked beautiful and tasted amazing. Our one frustration was the bakery's unwillingness to discuss payment or our cake delivery over the phone. They always insisted we used the online portal so we were unsure our cake order was every confirmed.

Our 4 tiered cake was 4 different flavors and we had two sheets that were an additional two flavors, that's 6 different flavors that we were able to offer our guest! The process of working with Azucar was seamless and they truly have an incredible staff that really sold us on working with them for our wedding day. The cake was beautiful as well, even better than we imagined, not to mention delicious!

One of the best decisions of my entire wedding was choosing Azucar. We actually had another baker hired and lined up, but could not get a response from her when we went to Azucar. The tasting process was wonderful, all the cakes tasted great, and I loved their whipped buttercream. They made both the wedding cake and the grooms cake look exactly how we wanted and everything tasted even better. These guys are seriously the best and I would recommend to anyone!! When searching for the perfect wedding cake, I knew I wanted something that was as delicious as it was beautiful. Azucar Bakery delivered on that in a big way. Our cake was so good, I ate some of every flavor during the reception. From the tasting to ordering to delivery, Azucar was so nice and helpful and responsive. They really are so fantastic, we would recommend them to everyone!

Azucar Bakery produced three wonderful cakes for our wedding reception. We had a small henna-decorated cake for the head table in red and white (our wedding colors) and two larger sheet cakes for our other 150 guests. The henna-themed cake was a beautiful Indian-style design that worked great with our wedding, and we actually worked with a henna artist with whom Azucar contracts. This same henna artist, Anita, did the henna at our wedding weekend welcome reception. Getting a small grooms’ cake just for the head table was a great way for us to cut costs (our total costs were roughly $500). Everyone raved about how delicious all the cakes were. We enjoyed our tastings and got helpful guidance throughout the cake selection process. Azucar was prompt, easy to work with, communicated throughout and we loved the final product.

The cake was great, there are a lot of flavors to choose from! My favorite was either the guava or strawberry. We also ordered their dessert platter for the rehearsal dinner and it was just as good!

We are absolutely so happy and pleased that we used Azucar Bakery for our cake! It was PERFECT and exactly what we imagined! We had our cake tasting many months before the wedding and it was so delicious. We brought all sorts of pictures to show what we were wanting and they hit it spot on. The cake was PERFECT and so delicious! They delivered the cake for us and our florist added flowers to the cake. It was also reasonably affordable. Very pleased!

Azucar Bakery was wonderful. From the tasting- to the wedding everything went smoothly. At the tasting they offered us about 6 or 8 different flavors, I can't recall for sure. But they were all delicious, made for a hard decision! We ended up choosing 3 flavors (1 for each tier) We did the traditional white cake with cream cheese filling, red velvet with cream cheese filling, and the double chocolate chip which was my very favorite! Unfortunately I was so busy at the wedding, I didn't get to eat ANY of the cake :( I am sure looking forward to the free anniversary cake they offer. Azucar was on time for set up and delivery. And the cake looked exactly like the picture we showed Danielo at the tasting. Job well done Azucar! I recommend this bakery for your wedding cake, or any other baking needs!

YUMMY! My husband and I hired Azucar Bakery to make the cake for our June 25th, 2016 wedding. It was not only gorgeous to look at but it tasted AMAZING! I've heard from a few people that they had at least 3 pieces - needless to say we did not have any leftovers! The frosting was so light and delicious - it was a nice change from the normal heavy buttercreams and chewy fondants. They did a wonderful job decorating the cake as well! I can't wait to see pictures of it! We had a ton of fun at our tasting picking the flavors too! Wonderful customer service and such a cute little bakery. Our bottom layer was a white cake with a whipped frosting center and fresh sliced fruit, middle layer was a chocolate cake with raspberry filling, and the top layer was a lemon cake with raspberry filling. We had about 100 people at our wedding. I strongly recommend Azucar Bakery for any cake needs. They delivered the cake right on time to the venue too!

When we had our cake tasting we really didn't know what we wanted. We went in with a few pictures and that was it. The staff at Azucar took the time to sit down and discuss our options with us. They helped with the design of the cake, so we got something we truly liked. They helped us choose flavors that would compliment each other. We walked in with nothing, and walked out knowing exactly how our cake was going to be. I'll never be able to rave enough about how good it tasted. It was soft, moist, and light. There was so much flavor in every bite, but it was never too rich or overbearing.

Amazing cake. Nuff said. Best cake I have ever had. And they make you a fresh one for your anniversary so you don't have to eat year old cake. They even drove it 2 hours into the mountains for our wedding. The only reason I don't give it five stars is because whatever girl answers the phone at the bakery is not at helpful. I don't know if the issue is that she has no clue about weddings (why is she working there then?) or what but she didn't have a clue what to do or how to help us when we needed to change our estimated guest count or get an amended price estimate. Not a single clue. The owner and baker conducts the tasting appointment, and he is great. He is a genius with cake. But whoever does the front end is frustrating to work with.

I will tell you what, these people know what a cake is supposed to taste like. Their Peruvian style baking is unparalleled to anything I have had in a long while. Azucar Bakery truly takes pride in what they do and they manage to do it very well. All of this set aside, the pinnacle of our experience with them was our custom made Doctor Who TARDIS cake. We were skeptical at first with how the outcome would be, but Azucar managed to hit every detail of this phone booth and it turned out to be a huge focal point for many of our Geeky guests. I will certainly be returning to Azucar for any future baking needs.

Great communication and DELICIOUS cakes!! We hired AB for our wedding in May. They arrived on time and everything we ordered turned out as planned. Our guests complemented my choice of Boston Creme, which perfectly complemented the groom and mine's history in Boston. Can't wait for our anniversary cake :) Thanks Azucar!

I was very happy with the cake options we tried at our tasting but it the MOB, MOH that attended the tasting with me both agreed when I said that the cake didn't taste as good as it had at the tasting we attended. The service was friendly and very professional and they make incredible cakes. I was still very happy with my cake and would recommend to other brides.

I was referred to Azucar by my venue and was not disapointed. People are still talking about the cake. We had four flavors, all were fabulous. The cake was beautiful and delivered on time. Azucar Bakery made our wedding cake and it was both beautiful and, most importantly, delicious! It was one of two bakeries that our venue contracted with. We tasted both, and Azucar was by far better quality. The cake was so moist, and flavorful without being overly sweet (we used 2 flavors for different layers: Strawberry Cream and Chocolate Dulce de Leche; both are very very good). We received many compliments on it. It was also decorated beautifully with fresh flowers that we provided. We couldn't have been happier with it!

Azucar bakery is perfect for weddings. They offer many different flavors – white chocolate rasperberry and the chocolate were our favorites and they deliver. We had leftover cake the next two days and it was delicious! In addition, you don’t need to save the top layer for next year, azucar will bake you another cake so you can have fresh anniversary cake. Unbeknownst to me, Azucar decorates the cake on location, so it could fit really well into a wedding video if you have the videographer on site when they deliver. We couldn't have been happier with Azucar!!

If I could give this place a 0, I would. We first went in there for a Sunday free cake tasting and were incredibly disappointed by their service (or lack thereof), and also not impressed by the taste of the cake. After meeting with our caterer, we figured that maybe it would be better if we did the scheduled tasting (maybe the service and quality we've heard so much about would be there), but it was NOT. First, setting up our appointment was close to impossible. I had to give the girl on the phone my credit card number so many times that by the last one, she had it memorized. It took about 25 minutes to set up the appointment (all she needed was name, address, wedding venue, flavors and the cc). Last night we showed up at 5:00 (both left work early to make it there on time), were only even noticed after 10 minutes. A girl made us move tables, and then gave us books and water in plastic cups. While we were sitting there waiting (we know what we want the cake to look like, and had seen the same books during the first terrible tasting), there was another man waiting for his girlfriends birthday cake, which was at least 20 minutes late if not more. He was told over and over the cake was almost ready, and eventually got so fed up (his girlfriend was waiting for him at home to pick her up for their dinner reservation) that he said he wanted a refund, but even getting someone to come out of the kitchen to give him the refund took so long that he just said forget about it and left. Just after that another tasting ended, and instead of acknowledging that we were there (and had been now for 20 minutes, just waiting), every employee went back into the kitchen. At this point, we were over it, asked for a refund, explained that you can't run a business this way and left. I studied the hospitality industry and worked in it for almost 15 years, and customer service is the most important part of it. Not only did they never once apologize, but the main baker (a guy from Peru who we had met before we even get engaged), basically sat there arguing with my fiance, telling us 'I'm not making excuses, but...excuse after excuse. I have no idea how they have such good reviews, or any awards, but I would be very careful before deciding to work with them.

Our wedding cake was not only beautiful, but also tasted great! Everyone kept telling me how fabulous it was! They were pleasant to work with and were very nice during our cake tasting appointment.

We had a great experience with Azucar for our wedding, including creating a custom design, choosing spectacular flavours, and professionalism. We had a three-tiered design, each of a different flavor, each looking like a different book. Marjorie worked with us the entire way to get the design how we imagined, adding in her own personal touches to create something unique. After cutting the cake, slices flew off the table, with many people taking extra home with them-- the cake was just that good. We planned our wedding ourselves, and after our last meeting we were able to forget about any worries with the cake. The day came and everything ran perfectly with delivery setup without us being involved at all. We've also used them personally for several smaller cakes and had excellent results.

They provided me with ideas, so that I could have the perfect wedding cake, but I was able to make the final decisions. I had a very small cake from Azucar to cut into for the bridal party and parents. The rest of the guests received Costco cake because wedding cakes can get pretty pricy. I wish I got all of the cake from Azucar because the red velvet cake I ordered was the most delicious thing I have ever tasted. It was very moist, and the cake was very elegant and beautiful. I definitely recommend Azucar for any wedding!

Part of our venue package included a free 2 tier cake, which was great but of course I wanted a 3 tier, so the price I paid is only for the 3rd tier, the sugar flowers on top and the grooms cake. The cake flavors are just so good, and the people here so helpful and friendly.

My husband hates cake and so we were considering not doing a traditional wedding cake- until we went here and he fell in love with their cake! It is light, fluffy, and oh so delicious! We couldn't decide what flavor to do, so we did FIVE! They are a great company and amazing cake!

Azucar makes yummy cakes! We had a great experience at our tasting and the manager made sure to spend adequate time with us to ensure they understood our vision. They went through our options and every time we stopped in to the store to make a payment or something, they took the time to go over our order again. It looked amazing on our wedding day and we can't wait to order our free anniversary cake!

My husband and I used Stonebrook Manor and got a free cake through Azucar Bakery. I was skeptical at first, but after meeting Marjorie and her team, I was sold! We have several people in our families with for allergies, they were willing to work with us, were alway polite, and had some really great suggestions! I showed her 4 pictures of what we had in mind and she combined them to get the exact effect we were looking for. She's amazing! We chose the orange cream cake with buttercream icing, it was so delicious! The cake was moist and flavorful and the way she decorated it was sheer perfection! We saved the top tier to take on out honeymoon because we got only a taste test, we didn't end up taking it with us and I froze it in the original box. We ate it a month later and it was just as good as it was on the wedding day! I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful wedding cake! You won't regret using them.

This bakery was recommended by my best friend who used them for her wedding. We had tasting at a few other bakeries and none of them even came close to Azucar! Their cakes are delicious and moist and it turned out just like we wanted. They let us choose multiple cake flavors and let us try a ton of flavors. Such great cake, we were so impressed!

Azucar did an amazing job of taking our thoughts for a cake for a mountain wedding and turning them into an amazing creation. They were very easy to work with from start to finish. And most importantly, the cake was delicious!! We are still getting comments from our guests about how much they enjoyed it.

Not only were they friendly and accommodating during our tasting, but went above and beyond allowing us to taste other flavors and walking us through what we would need. We only wanted a smaller two tier cake and sheet cake, and they were absolutely perfect--and reasonably priced!! You can't go wrong with Azucar Bakery. The cake and service is unmatched!

Azucar made a beautiful cake for our wedding. Even more importantly it was by far the best tasting cake I have ever had (and I received so many comments from friends/family members about how awesome it is). We ordered enough cake for everyone to have a slice assuming we would have extra, and we ran out because everyone wanted some and most people were begging for seconds. They were easy to work with and we enjoyed the entire experience.
