epared for our big day. I was concerned it would be too cold and decided to move the event inside. It was a smaller space, but it was very cozy and intimate. We had a brunch wedding and it did not disappoint. Everything was set up the way we planned, and the food and drinks were great. Highly recommend for small, intimate, and elopement style weddings or just events in general!

our date changed to July 2020. It was literally 2 weeks before our wedding and Meryl and the team were so open and willing to work with us, we were set for our dinner. Then just 1 week before our wedding, we called for yet another adjustment, we needed to actually host our full ceremony at Bacchus due to the rain. Little questions asked, it was set and our wedding was perfect. Meryl and the team were flexible and assured we were able to practice social distancing and staying safe. On the day of our wedding, it was pouring rain with thunder and lighting and the show went on! The team added covers to the back garden to block the rain. Meryl was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed from food to wine to cutting our cake and providing to-go cake boxes. Ugh! We could not be more grateful for Meryl and the Team at Bacchus Bistro. We can't wait to go back for our Anniversary dinner!

ery single detail from the moment we decided to have our wedding at Bacchus up until the day after the wedding when we picked up our leftover decorations. Bacchus is an amazing venue at a great value and exactly what we wanted for our wedding – an intimate (55 people) and personal backyard garden ceremony, a dinner-focused celebration with high quality food, and a perfect space to dance the night away. The food is beyond delicious and beautifully presented. The garden space is flawlessly set up for a cozy and intimate ceremony and reception. We were also able to reserve a room inside the restaurant attached to the outdoor gardens for dancing which made everything flow seamlessly. As an added bonus Meryl went above and beyond in helping us coordinate the event. Meryl is extremely detail oriented and walked us through every step of the process. Along with Alvaro and the rest of the wonderful staff at Bacchus, they helped us plan and pull off a beautiful celebration. The staff are the best of the best and made our wedding unforgettable. I can’t thank them enough for giving us a perfect wedding day.

d the call of duty. Within a few short weeks time Meryl along with her staff put together an absolutely beautiful party along with flower arrangements, décor, and a customized menu. We received wonderful feedback from family and friends on how lovely our party turned out. Most importantly, Meryl made us feel apart of their family, and made sure we, along with our guests , were well taken care of from start to finish. We have already recommended Baccus to friends and family and continue to visit the restaurant regularly as it has become our favorite restaurant in Brooklyn! We loved that Bacchus was able to accommodate a smaller wedding (we had around 60 guests), we were also excited about the ability to have our ceremony and dinner reception in the back garden. Throughout the year before our wedding, we were in constant contact with Meryl, an incredible person and resource, who really helped bring all of the details of our wedding together. We had a wonderful food tasting followed by an equally wonderful wine tasting a couple months before our wedding. Meryl stayed in constant contact with us throughout these months, ensuring that everything was coming together smoothly. As our wedding date approached and we had our last meeting at Bacchus we knew without a doubt that we were in incredibly great hands. Our wedding day was beautiful and came together perfectly. This was largely due to Meryl and the incredible team at Bacchus. We received constant compliments throughout the evening on pretty much everything Bacchus had to offer including the passed hors d'oeuvre, entrees, wine and dessert. My husband created dinner and after dinner playlists and we were able to easily connect to the sound system at Bacchus, and the music during dinner sounded great. The garden is beautiful, so we did not really add much as far as decor, just simple centerpieces that we dropped off the night before and Meryl's team set up for us. At around 10 pm, our party transitioned inside to the wine bar where we were able to continue having a great time. The Bacchus team even brought in the remaining cupcakes on the cupcake tower for our guests to enjoy. Wedding planning and staying on budget, especially in a place like NYC can be incredibly stressful. We are so glad we went with Bacchus as so much of that stress was alleviated. Their prices are more than fair considering the quality of food and elegance of the garden. We continue to return to Bacchus for dinner and brunch, and can't wait to celebrate our 1st anniversary there.

rant, we completely fell in love with how beautiful it was. It's large backyard space which includes a tree that creates a gorgeous canopy was exactly what we were looking for. From that day on, Meryl took such great care of us. She answered all of our never ending questions and even provided wonderful recommendations for the florist, cake and photographer. During our visits, we met several couples who were celebrating their anniversary. They told us how perfect their Bacchus wedding was. They were sure ours would be just as special and they were right. We arrived at Bacchus the day before our wedding with all of the decor and provided instructions on how we wanted everything to be set up. When we arrived the following day, every looked exactly as we envisioned it. Meryl and her team did a fantastic job! The food was absolutely amazing and our guests kept commenting on how great the service was. Even though we had record breaking heat and Brooklyn's largest street fair was going on right outside the venue, everything was perfect. Bacchus is not your typical cookie-cutter wedding venue. It's special and intimate and we couldn't be happier with our choice to celebrate there.

s warm and always calm. The rest of the staff, especially Alvaro, are all wonderful. They move quickly and like a well-oiled machine. We had 135 guests and we thought it was going to be tight, but it felt so cozy and warm! And the Bacchus crew was not phased by it at all, everything went on without a single glitch. And the food is just fantastic--the best wedding food I've ever had. We love Bacchus and can't wait to spend our anniversaries there!

g. The food was incredibly plentiful and unbelievably delicious and they kept the wine flowing - multiple people told us the food was far and away was the best they'd had at a wedding. The evening went so smoothly thanks to Meryl and her staff, who seamlessly transitioned everything from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to dinner and finally dancing. Working with Meryl was a pleasure throughout the planning process, she was extremely accommodating and helpful. We couldn't be more thrilled with the wonderful evening, or the staff. And to top it all off, everything was extremely reasonably priced. Thank you Bacchus for an unforgettable night!

other venues that had a lovely garden that could seat such a large group of people. They do a lot of events and run them like clockwork. Unfortunately, the night of our event it torrentially rained. When we arrived, the outdoor garden was completely covered and still looked beautiful, despite the horrible weather. The dinner was seamless in terms of everyone ordering, the food arriving on-time and accurately, wine service, everything. They give you a pretty vast choice in terms of what you can put on the menu, so I would recommend eating here a few times to try the different options out. We chose the branzino, gnocchi and half-chicken and everyone was raving about the food. The food was way better than the food at our actual wedding, which wasn't bad. If we didn't want to have a band and 100+ people at our wedding, I honestly would have considered having our actual wedding at Bacchus. When we were trying out the food, we were there one night when one was going on and it looked lovely!

The restaurant (and the garden, where we had our ceremony and reception) is an absolutely gorgeous venue, and we lucked out with perfect weather so we were really able to enjoy the outdoor space to the fullest extent. We chose not to have an outside coordinator since Meryl was very accommodating to any decorations and specific events we asked for, and gave her detailed instructions for our music, flower arrangements, table setups, ceremony, and overall timeline. The setup looked gorgeous when we walked in and was exactly as we had asked. We were also able to do things such as bring in an outside wedding cake at no extra charge, making it easy to customize the day exactly as we wanted. We got nothing but rave reviews from our guests all day and they have continued to roll in since the event, and I know we will always remember this amazing day in large part because of how fantastic the entire staff was. The food service was amazingly quick considering that we had over 70 guests, and they were friendly, accommodating, and beyond wonderful (as they are during regular dinner service as well!). They could charge double for their services and it would still be an amazing value! I cannot recommend them highly enough, and they will do everything they can to help you have a wedding exactly the way you imagine.

d to decorate. Cocktail hour was generous, constantly flowing and delicious. Dinner was exceptional. Half of our guests are from the food industry and they all raved about the food. The wine selection was great and the team kept it flowing. Everyone had a wonderful time. Meryl, Alvaro and the entire staff was beyond accommodating. They happily met, spoke with, and sorted out details with all of our vendors. I made last minute changes to the table layout up until the day of - and they handled it beautifully with no issues. Thankfully it didn't rain, but thankfully they have a tent service on hand just in case. We were able to drop off our stuff a few days in advance, and they put up all the decorations with little instruction needed. Every detail was perfect. They went above and beyond to make the day truly special, catered to every one of our last minute requests with a smile. Everything was possible. I have already recommended Bacchus to many of my friends for their special events. Aside from the venue and food being outstanding - the service is what makes this venue stand out. Our wedding was exactly what we wanted, and I am thankful to the Bacchus team for playing such a monumental part of it.

r and thus enjoyed all their outdoor area to its fullest (that's where most of the guests were for the entire event). Food was also very important to us and both the passed appetizers and sit-down dinner impressed our guests--and it all stayed within our budget. We enjoyed several great tastings at the restaurant, and the food at the reception mirrored those tastings. We did minimal decor (flowers and table numbers) as Bacchus's normal decor was enough to make the event feel special. Staff was very accommodating and laid-back. We were able to get in the day prior to make sure our sound system would work and my baker was able to get in early to do final touches on my cakes. My family and friends all still rave about the great setting and food. Atlantic Avenue and surrounding streets allowed us to get in some cool shots too—and we got a spot out front for our vintage mustang.

were excellent in helping my vision come true. It was absolutely beautiful. I can't thank them enough. We booked the second garden for four hours and chose the 4 course menu with open bar. The event was from 7-11pm. I was able to drop off decor in the morning (balloons, hanging voltive candles, placecards, photo booth props, party favors, etc..). They were amazing and had it all perfectly set up when I arrived at 6:30pm. Since we had a few people show up a bit late they were very flexible with the time they started taking orders. Alvaro began taking orders around 8:15pm. It worked out perfectly fine bc we were mingling with family and friends anyway. My event was supposed to end at 10pm but my fiancé and I ended up extending the open bar an extra hour since we were having such a great time. I highly recommend the second garden for an event (furthest one in the back). Weather was perfect that evening and the place is decorated beautifully, the pictures don't do it any justice. I would strongly consider BACCHUS again for future events. Food is amazing too!

The space is so naturally beautiful that my floral designer only had to add a few touches to reflect our design. My husband is French so we definitely wanted amazing French food and one of those dinner with tons of wine that goes on through the night. Well with Bacchus we got that and more. We had a several course meal with wine parings. Every course was delectable and the service impeccable. And the wine selection incredible... even the French guests were impressed! The main thing about doing event here is the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They worked with the other vendors seamlessly to create an intimate, elegant, yet completely down to earth experience. My wedding is a day I will never forget and having it there was the perfect choice for us. I wholeheartedly recommend Bacchus!

ance are to die for (i mean, you literally feel like you're sitting in a bistro in Provence, France), their food is AMAZING, their wine selection is superb, each and every one of their staff members are beyond friendly (with their beautiful french accents and all) and the total cost is very budget-friendly compared to most NY wedding venues. My hubby and I knew that we wanted a very unique, relaxed and non-traditional feel for our wedding. Bacchus achieved that and so much more. Meryl & staff were super accommodating and attentive to our guests' needs. I would definitely recommend Bacchus for a wedding, rehearsal dinner, special event or even a night on the town. Oh!! And how could I forget the garden area!! Absolutely beautiful!! This is definitely a hidden gem of Brooklyn :)

Memorial Day weekend. Things I loved: The food and drinks! Our guests raved about the appetizers, meals and wine. Bacchus offers flexible meal and drink packages, and honestly anything you try there will be delicious. The service is top-notch, even when you visit on a regular day. Everyone makes you feel like you are part of the family, and attends to you before you even realize you need them. The ceremony and reception space is beautiful, cozy and intimate. We invited about 65 guests who fit comfortably in one of the back patios. There is a large tree in the back that made the space feel natural. I brought minimal decorations because I wanted a simple design, but you have a great canvas to work with if you want to add to the space. Romantic and rustic pieces will really highlight the space. The location is great. Brooklyn Bridge Park is a short cab ride away, and there are hotels nearby if you have guests traveling from out of town. My favorite thing about choosing Bacchus is that my husband and I can return as much as we want! We visited for our one year anniversary, and it felt so special to be there again.

owner were both great helping us out! Our couple had planned for a lovely ourdoor wedding and of course that morning it was cold and windy with a 60% threat of rain! So we had to jump to our plan B. Their staff was happy to jump in and provide assistance hanging cafe lights and adjusting our decor plan to fit the weather plan. I really appreciated the time they took to help get things together as we moved into our plan B. The food was very tasty and I really want to go back for brunch since I was smelling it and seeing it come out of the kitchen all morning while I was working on my set-up!

d hors d'oeuvres and open seating around Bacchus’ two beautiful gardens, as well as inside the restaurant. We added some personal touches including farmhouse tables and floating candles to enhance the rustic décor of the restaurant and the lights and candles that already decorate the space. Our amazing florist Aurora Botanica put up a cascading floral backdrop with jewel toned flowers in the back of the garden to serve as the backdrop for our ceremony, and then the staff seamlessly turned over the ceremony space for cocktail hour and the reception. Since we started working with them this past February, the staff at Bacchus and our main contact Meryl were amazing. They were flexible with tastings and décor elements and accommodated special requests at so many turns so that we could create our dream space inside the restaurant. We stopped by with our DJ, florist and other vendors on many separate occasions and the staff was always warm, welcoming and there to answer our questions, even when Meryl herself was not on site. Bacchus and the on site manager for our wedding, Alvaro, worked with our day of wedding coordinator to ensure everything was set up as we imagined even with extra chilly temps, strong winds and rain to contend with. The evening went off so seamlessly and we’ve had so many friends and family contact us since to say what an intimate, fun and special night it was. The staff was there for all of our needs the night of the wedding and I know worked overtime to ensure that us and our guests felt taken care of. Bacchus is a wonderful and warm neighborhood spot that could be perfectly suited to a simple and chic event or something more intricate based on what you are envisioning. We can’t wait to have more dinners there in the future so we can relive our wonderful night!

ople and the second garden was the perfect size just for that. Not too crowded, everyone had enough room to move around. They provided decorations but I brought in some extra things (place cards, flowers, etc) and gave her instructions for everything and when I arrived everything was EXACTLY where and how I wanted it. Highly advise this location if you're looking for a lovely, intimate outdoor wedding. Truly had an amazing day thanks to Meryl and all of her staff.
