The Banks Entertainment team will do their utmost to tailor your wedding entertainment to meet your unique preferences. If a song is purchasable, they will happily add it to your playlist. Each of their DJs is also a professionally trained MC, ready to act as the host of your celebrations. Banks Entertainment offers customized services for your wedding ceremony and reception as well as your rehearsal dinner and after-party. Three months before your wedding, one of their planners will work with you on scheduling. In the weeks coming up to your big day, you and your DJ will meet to talk about your preferences. This team will provide music, fun, and lighting to help make your special day even more memorable.

y. We gave them a playlist for the reception, and none of our music was played. For cocktail hour, they did follow our music, but they didn’t mix the songs up like they said they would (when I wrote the songs down, I didn’t shuffle them) so multiple songs by the same artist played back to back. When the dancing part started, none of the music was correct. My coordinator told the DJ multiple times that the music was wrong, but they blamed not having the right music on the wifi connection. I can’t wrap my head around why the music wasn’t downloaded. They even played songs that we specifically told them NOT to play. The planning sheet even has sections for genres that we wanted and didn’t want, and the music didn’t even follow this. At the very least, if the wifi was the problem, they should have tried to play music that was similar to our preferences.
Over 4 hours of music, full of songs that meant a lot to my husband and I, was not used.
It felt like the DJ was unprepared despite two meetings beforehand. The DJ that showed up wasn’t even the one who I worked through the schedule with.
I have been trying for almost 4 weeks to get in contact with them about this situation. I was told twice that the owner would contact me, and I haven’t heard a word. They’ve even ghosted my emails now.
PLEASE, from one bride to another, don’t put yourself through this! I truly feel like my reception was ruined because of this, and I don’t want other brides doing through this!!

The venue we chose for our wedding has an exclusive contract with Banks for their packages which didn't appear to be an issue based on their ratings and conversations we had with them. However, wedding day was less than satisfactory. We had 140...
guests. Issues: 1). Only half our guests could hear the music or announcements due to speakers only being set in front of the dj stand. This resulted in ppl crowding up around other tables to hear the speeches as well as leaving early. Not only was the sound very low and centered it was not clear. Had a muffled sound to it.
2). Our wedding party entrance song was not played. Instead they skipped to the song my groom and I were coming out to so the party had to toss their planned entrance skit. Plus we could barely hear the music to enter to.
3). DJ trying to be sarcastic after a few spontaneous toasts by saying "okay, anyone else?" To which someone raised their hand and she proceeded to respond "oh that was a joke" and was actually reluctant to give them the mic. I understand keeping a timeline but sarcasm in a time where people are being sentimental is not ideal.
4). I was required to turn in a timeline which I took very seriously and made sure to include all our favorite music as well as a few songs I wanted to dance with my husband to. After a week stressing over this timeline not even half of it was played. The DJ free styled and played music I've never heard of and skipped songs I had an asterisk next to even after a thorough phone call the week before going over our music selection.
5). After all this I typed an email to voice our disappointment and not a single response. I cc'd the main contact email foe Banks as well as Caitlyn whom I did most pre wedding communications with and the DJ who had reached out to me about the timeline. Not one person with Banks entertainment cares enough about having let us down on our wedding night to give a quick response to our feedback. As a business owner I find this very unprofessional and would not recommend them for any occasion. This is not what I'd expect from a DJ service that is part of a $12,000 venue package.

all of our events, including yours. However, I understand that you still experienced some issues with the sound quality on your special day. It is worth noting that we are at this venue every single week and have never received any complaints about sound quality before. In addition, we did raise this issue with the management at the venue and they reported no complaints about the sound either. Nevertheless, I want to assure you that we take feedback from our clients seriously and will certainly look into ways we can improve upon our services in the future. As a reminder to all our clients, we kindly ask that all final song requests for weddings be submitted by the Monday prior to the event. This is outlined in both our contract and welcome packet, as it allows us ample time to prepare and ensure that your special day runs smoothly. While we always do our best to accommodate any last-minute changes or requests, we cannot guarantee their fulfillment due to time constraints. I wanted to address your feedback regarding the DJ's reaction to the spontaneous toasts at your event. As someone who takes all feedback seriously, I reached out to your DJ, Bethany, as well as the management of your venue and other industry professionals for their input. To my surprise, the feedback I received from them was quite different from what you had shared. They all praised Bethany for her professionalism and ability to accommodate spontaneous toasts with ease. None of them felt that she was being sarcastic in any way. I understand that perceptions can vary and that it's important to consider all perspectives when evaluating an issue. We understand the importance of playing the songs that our clients have requested. We strive to create a memorable experience for each and every event, and we recognize that music plays a big role in achieving this goal. While we aim to accommodate all song requests, there may be times when events are pushed back or unforeseen circumstances arise (pictures taking longer than expected, additional toasts), which can create time constraints. Despite these challenges, our team is committed to doing everything within our power to ensure that your requested songs are played. I apologize that you feel our performance may have affected your wedding film in some way. As a seasoned professional in the wedding industry with 18 years of experience as both a DJ and a videographer, I can assure you that the DJ does not impact the final film. Your wedding film has its own unique music selection, and the DJ's announcements are not included in the final product. It is important to note that your email expressing these concerns was sent only days after your wedding, more than likely before you had even seen your completed film as it takes longer than a few days to edit a wedding film. have no office in OKC. I did not meet my DJ until two weeks before our event. He was very distracted because he just started a new, demanding job. Then when I text him a very important detail, he waited to respond for an entire week with a question. After that we made a couple small changes which I sent as a text, there was never a response to those and he failed to implement the changes.
He showed up only one hour before my guests, which was an hour later than he told us. Then during the night, he was not engaging my guest complained about how “fake” he was and that he seemed to want to be elsewhere. I rarely heard him say anything. We were running very behind schedule and that was NOT his fault, but there was no attempt to entertain my guests except just playing songs that no one danced too. Also, my “monogram” was about 1’ at the largest part of the circle. It just looked weird; it wasn’t even where people were dancing, so none of my photos showed it except the ones of just that.
The worst part is that I emailed the office to tell her what happened and that I was disappointed it had been several days and no survey was sent. She said she didn’t send the survey because I had already expressed my displeasure. I told her I wanted to tell someone about my experience and she said they would call. I emailed once again, and she assured me I was on the owner’s schedule for the following week. That was over a month ago with no call back to this date from anyone. I would definitely NOT recommend this company.

yed before my sisters wedding, we would have never hired them. We met with them the first time and we explained how my little sisters wedding was a fail and how ours needed to be a knock out... For referring a friend, you are supposed to get a $100 gift card... its been 2 and a half months and my little sister is still waiting to see that $100..We have even called and contacted them and they assured it was on the way.... We had a whole dinner playlist wrote out, sent to our DJ and were promised it would be played during dinner.... Not a single song from our playlist was played, and when we confronted him, he told us he "had a scratch on the disc"... During the ceremony itself, he used a IPod/MP3 player hooked to a speaker so apparently the disc was scratched... still a mystery to me.. Also our DJ felt it totally necessary to serve our dinner for us before our grand entrance so it was there waiting for us when we got there. We told him specifically we didn't want him to but he did anyways. So in a way, we felt like we couldn't even enjoy our caterer either because Caleb felt necessary to throw food on a plate for us... didn't care to ask what we liked or wanted on the plate. He just piled it on. He also threw a fit because we wanted to take 30 minutes to do sunset photos with our photographer... His job is to entertain and he acted like he couldn't do that without us for a few minutes. We got our wedding photos back and it was so worth pissing him off and doing the sunset photos anyways. When its all said and done, Caleb and Banks Entertainment promised our wedding day would be everything we wanted and more and unfortunately, it really wasn't. He was so concerned with staying on a time schedule instead of making the day about the bride and groom. If you are considering Banks Entertainment, I'd highly consider you moving on from that idea...

ly made it sound as if we were responsible for the events that occurred at your sister's wedding. The events that occurred on April 29th, 2017 were out of our control. The mass flooding and torrential rain that caused highways and roads to either be flooded or closed caused the DJ to arrive later than the planned arrival time. However, he still arrived before the scheduled start time. The argument that your family brought to us after that wedding saying, "If the DJ would have arrived four hours early we might of started early." was completely ridiculous. After thousands of completed events, we have never had a wedding start early for any reason. Our contract clearly states that we are not responsible for anything out of our control including "acts of god". A tree falling outside the wedding venue and knocking out the power before the ceremony began is considered an "act of god". Per our contract, I did not have to refund any money, although I did refund everything but the DJ compensation because we felt that was the right thing to do, in a situation where no one was at fault. I do not appreciate you trying to pass blame onto us in regards to your sister's wedding. I am truly sorry if a song skipped or something wasn't played. We strive to play everything that is on the request list. Our DJ's are trained to help out and go above and beyond. I am sorry that you did not appreciate Caleb trying help out and make your night more enjoyable by getting your plates and drinks. Typically there is a main entree with multiple sides that the bride and groom pick out with their caterer ahead of time that normally they choose to their liking. I will make sure in our training program that we teach our staff what to do at events with multiple items on the menu. Asking the bride and groom first will definitely be added. We meet with our clients twice before the wedding to ensure that they choose the timeline. As the DJ, it is our job to make sure that everything on the schedule does get done in a timely fashion. We conduct ourselves in a professional manner and do not "throw fits" at weddings. Most weddings take sunset pictures so that is nothing new to us. I'm glad your sunset pictures turned out great! DJs that we met with. Our package came with up-lighting and it looked gorgeous for our stage! They are very helpful when planning out a timeline for your day and making sure they play songs you want and don't want. They were good about answering any questions we had leading up to the wedding.
Cons: We had changed the timeline we made with them originally after talking with our photographer. We spoke with our DJ the week of our wedding and altered the timeline no problem. After our grand intro we were supposed to go straight into our first dance; however, a different song started playing and guests were told to grab food. This did cause a hiccup in our night. I met with the photographer and DJ to get everything in order. I felt like I was having to monitor everything that night to make sure nothing was missed. He did good job in making sure to accomplish everything, but it would have been a lot less stressful if he had the appropriate timeline. The music overall was good; although, it didn't feel like our must play song were played until we specifically asked for that genre while dancing.
Overall, I would recommend Banks Entertainment! I would just make sure everything is set prior to the start of your event.

The others were placed around our photo backdrop. I didn't like it. I wish they would've consulted with me or a wedding party member to verify that it looked okay. Just didn't seem strategically placed or utilized well.
Oh and I made sure to tell him that Taylor Swift was my FAVE and he didn't play any of her music :( BUT he did a great job with the music selections and was an awesome EMCEE! I would definitely use Banks again and request Rob :)
