We absolutely loved our wedding in the Stone House at the Bar Harbor Regency! It is such a unique space on the water and the upstairs rooms can be filled with your bridal party. Ge...
nesis Figueroa, our sales and catering manager, was amazing. She was always answering my emails in a timely manner leading up to the wedding and made the wedding day go very smoothly. We really wanted our wedding outside overlooking the water and she helped make that a reality despite the rain!
We had our 50th Wedding Anniversary June 9 2023 at the Bar Harbor Regency Stonehouse. Deb Jordan was so wonderful to work with in the preparations--this was a destination party sin...
ce we live in Florida. Genesis was our coordinator at the event and did a super job. We had the Lobster Experience buffet and everyone is still sending us acclamations on how great everything was!!!
The Stone House at the Bar Harbor Regency was the perfect venue for our August wedding. We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Our accommodations on the second floo...
r of the Stone House had amazing views and gave us a convenient place to get ready on the day of, and included rooms for most of our bridal party. Having that space for the weekend gave us a quiet, secluded place away from the main hotel to hang out with our friends and families. The wedding venue itself was perfect and gave us plenty of room to eat, drink, and dance, with great views of the bay. The staff was also great – both the bartenders and servers were extremely professional and friendly, and the food and drinks were delicious.
Lastly, the hotel’s wedding coordinator Genesis, was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was very friendly, responsive, and did a great job making sure everything was under control the day of. We’re so glad we were able to plan our wedding with her!
We would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone considering it!

roa, the venue coordinator, was incredible to work with. She was professional, calm, and responsive. The catering was great and we received so many compliments on everything from the appetizers passed during cocktail hour to the salmon and steak served at dinner.
We are still basking in the glow of the wedding reception the Bar Harbor Regency orchestrated for our beautiful daughter, Margot, and wonderful son-in-law, Nicholas. The event was ...
in July 2018. Lisa Patel, the sales and catering manager, took extra special care of us every step of the way. Her expertise, kindness, sophistication and management skills are a joy to behold. Planning began in October of 2017. At this time Lisa walked us through every step, not only helping with the reception but aiding us in logistics for the entire day. For our celebration, we booked the rooms in the Stone House for the bridal party, which was a complete delight. The groom and groomsmen stayed in the main hotel. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful grounds, pool and tiki bar. It was fun to have everyone together in such a beautiful location and it seemed so private and special. We particularly enjoyed the balconies in the Stone House and gorgeous views of Frenchman’s Bay. The bridal suite was absolutely beautiful, and completely updated. Full length mirrors and a place to hang the wedding dress are needed, but everything else was perfect.
The day of the wedding the preparation for the reception began bright and early and every detail was executed with care. The tables were set with silver chiavari chairs, menus, linens, place cards and all other requested items perfectly. The Regency staff and our florist, Alda Stich, cooperated in set up, working together to set up all the displays, floral arrangements, tablecloths, florals in the chandeliers seamlessly. Lisa Patel said “yes” to my every request and gently guided me back on track when I got a little crazy with ideas.
When the bridal party and guests arrived at the reception via Oli’s Trolleys from the church, everything was perfect. The first sight was the beautiful lawn of the Stone House set with garden furniture, a couple high boy tables, with white glove clad waiters waiting with trays of champagne and appetizers. Then as guest approached the patio, they found a couple more tables, beautiful patio furniture and an appealing display table if more delicious hors d'œuvres. The passed appetizers were
Fiery Chicken Spring Rolls with Ginger Soy Dip; Soft Brie and Raspberry Phyllo Stars; Beef Tenderloin with Red Onion Relish and Horseradish Cream on French Bread Crostini and everyone loved them. My favorite was the tenderloin but my friends and family are still talking about the delicious spring rolls weeks later. The displayed appetizers included: Assorted Local and Farmstead Cheese, Toasted and Candied Nuts, Fig Jam, Select Dried and Fresh Fruits, Assorted Crackers, Summer Melon, Hand Picked Berries, Seasonl Fruits, Minted Yogurt Dip, Locally Sourced Farmed Vegetables with Ranch Dip and Hummus. The table was even tented ( to my surprise) because the weather had changed unexpectedly, and as I already mentioned, no detail was overlooked. The open bar was accessed by the open doors on the patio that open into the Stone House ballroom. Inside, guests were greeted by a beautiful table covered in moss and fresh flowers with little brass compasses that served as escort cards. The display looked better than I imagined it when planning. Every candle was lit, all the fairy lights tucked in the moss, were sparkling, the edges of the room were bathed in pink uplights, thanks to Chris Bouchard. The brides artwork was displayed in the escort cards, place cards, menus and welcome sign and everything was placed perfectly. The bartender was extremely friendly and congenial. The catering staff was exceptional. Everyone seemed to be served at the same time, no table had to wait longer than another. It was lovely. Dinner was served so elegantly it seemed to just appear out of the blue. You Never heard a dish clang and never saw any dish pile up and never saw a an unsightly tray or dirty dishes. Dinner began with the Acadian Salad: Baby Field Greens, Sun Dried Blueberries, Teardrop Tomatoes, Gorgonzolla Cheese and Wild Berry Vinaigrette. It was beautiful and delicious. The entrees guest enjoyed included: Filet Mignon and Butter Poached Maine Lobster Tail, Whipped Yukon Potato in a Classic Au Poivré Sauce and Lobster Sherry; Chicken Picatta: Sautéed Chicken Breast with Lemon Wine Caper Sauce and Mashed Potato or Stuffed Acorn Squash:Toasted Israeli Cous Cous with Wild Mushrooms, Roasted Summer Vegetables, Butternut Broth, Toasted Pumpkin Seeds and Pumpkin Oil. I had the surf and turf and loved it.
Guests with allergies and special requests were carefully graciously accommodated. Wine was served with dinner and wedding cake was plated and served with a champagne toast. As the evening progressed the appetizer table on the patio magically transformed to a beautiful display of the favors of Wicked Whoopies for guests to take as a parting gift. The fire pit on the lawn patio was lit also for another place for guests to enjoy.
The next morning, all the candleholders, tablecloths and other items I had provided, were meticulously packed up and organized.
The Bar Harbor Regency was the perfect place for our event and we are so happy with the outcome. I will have a very special place in my heart always, for Lisa Patel who made my daughters wedding reception beyond perfect... it was magical!!!

lace at the Stonehouse that is on site at the hotel. It's a beautiful house with an amazing outside ceremony space directly outside right on the water. Our coordinator Emily was nothing but helpful and easy to get in touch with. The food is AMAZING! Price wise it's on par with the rest of Bar Harbor's venues, but I really think it was well worth the cost. Our day was perfect and really went off without a hitch. Cannot recommend the team and location highly enough.
